Roberto Firmino gives Liverpool something which no other side in the Premier League
has, according to his manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Brazilian's unique skill set saw him pirouette in front of the Kop, to score Liverpool's
third with a delightful back flick.
But it was his defensive work rate which had Klopp applauding wildly on the sidelines as
he worked back to dispossess Watford players as they looked to build the play.
Klopp said: "You need always in a game someone who brings the ball over the line but tonight
I've got to say it again, Sadio's game looked so mature to be honest.
"So cool on the ball.
A few weeks again he had a few fights with himself in one or other situations.
"And in a 5-0 that you speak about a striker because of his defensive work rate I didn't
have that before!
"But what Roberto Firmino did tonight?
Ask the other teams if they like it, to have him in their bag, to have him around, that
kills so many situations for the opposition team.
"In no other game is anyone coming, only against Liverpool, the number nine is coming, chasing
you.
that's just outstanding, that's why we could win football games."
Firmino moved on to 23 goals for the season, his finest total in any season, eclipsing
his 22 at Hoffenheim.
He was part of a Liverpool performance which left their manager very happy, as they moved
seven points clear of Chelsea who are in FA Cup action this weekend.
"I'm really happy about the result but also the performance.
I knew after making the analysis of the last Watford game against Arsenal how difficult
it can be.
"They lost that game 3-0 but it was so close, football games can go like this but in the
end we really saw what could happen tonight if we let them do what they wanted to
do."
