One of the great things about Book Trust this year is that we have connected our
primary classrooms to our intermediate classrooms and so every time, once a
month they come together and they do different activities, they share their
books, they make bookmarks, kids are very excited they're building relationships
with the older kids in the school and so it's kind of united us to where we're
sharing the same common goal of just becoming passionate about reading
another thing that Book Trust has done for our kids is that it has motivated
them because they get to pick their books and so they have choice.
Sometimes we don't always get to pick what we read and so it's allowed our kids to have that choice.
A lot of the books they choose sometimes are different animal books
that they like to read and enjoy and so with this event coming up and the
Wildlife Encounters possibly coming to our school is going to cause great
excitement and they will be very pleased to see the animals and to actually see
their books come to life and to learn more about what they're reading about.
