What are you Thankful for? - Duration: 2:11.
I am mostly thankful for my grandmother. Because she's really sweet and kind.
When I grow up I want to be just like her.
I am thankful for getting a post secondary education and to be able to do it here at Naropa.
It's wonderful and I'm glad I get to do it here.
I am thankful for fresh water.
I am thankful for just this opportunity of getting to know people and being in the United States, living, and everything.
I am thankful to be in a place where I can live and speak my truth and have it be received so beautifully and shared.
What am I thankful for?
I guess the first thing that's coming up is my parents. Because they are making it possible for me to be here.
I am thankful for the crazy contemplative journey that is really real, and meaningful, and transformative.
I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for my education.
I am thankful the experiences I'm having and will soon have . I'm thankful for opportunities and I'm thankful for learning how to love deeper.
I'm thankful for being alive pretty much. Today is my birthday so another year.
Yea that's pretty awesome.
I am thankful for every single second for this life that I have. I am very grateful for every moment that I have.
I'm grateful that I'm alive. I'm grateful that I'm going to Naropa. I'm grateful that I get to experience situations like this.
So my lungs are working very well, and my heart is beating, and I'm very thankful for that.

Maria Sharapova investigated for real estate conspiracy - Duration: 2:59.
Maria Sharapova investigated for real estate conspiracy
NEW DELHI — Maria Sharapova is being investigated by police in India in a cheating and criminal conspiracy case involving a real estate company that used the tennis star to endorse a luxury housing project that never took off.
Real estate firm Homestead Infrastructure is accused of taking tens of millions of rupees from home buyers for a project called "Ballet by Maria Sharapova," a luxury apartment complex with its own helipad, tennis academy and other amenities.
The five-time Grand Slam champion traveled to India in 2013 to launch the project at a glitzy ceremony. Police began the investigation Nov. 16.
Piyush Singh, a lawyer representing one of the home buyers, said Wednesday that Sharapova's celebrity was the reason most people put their money into the project.
Singh said his client, Bhawana Agarwal, paid Homestead Infrastructure 5.3 million rupees ($81,678) in 2013 because she was impressed by Sharapova's association with the project located in Gurgaon, a suburb of the Indian capital.
The cost of an apartment in the swanky project was 20 million rupees ($308,000). Agarwal then spent the next three years chasing the builders for updates on the property and her investment in it, but they stopped taking her calls, Singh said.
On Wednesday, several calls to the numbers of the building company's website went unanswered. "The project never saw the light of day," Singh said.
Singh said the police investigation based on his client's complaint was testing relatively new legal ground — that celebrities endorsing projects that draw vast sums of money from investors had a responsibility "to do some due diligence" on the project before lending their name and credibility to it.
Sharapova isn't the only international sports celebrity whom the real estate firm roped in. Its website also advertises a project with Formula One great Michael Schumacher, called the Michael Schumacher World Tower.

Reusable Mold Boxes for Silicone molds and Casting Urethane parts - Duration: 4:58.
when I'm making two-part silicone molds to make urethane parts I like start now
with a good quality reusable mold box my name is Eric Strebel I'm an industrial
designer welcome to my channel about product design and making I hope that
you like enjoy and become a subscriber make sure that you hit that little bell
next to the subscribe button - in case you haven't already done so that way
you'll be notified every time I have a new video I like to make mold boxes that
are reusable and I like to make pretty good ones I usually use an AC plywood
maybe even with a veneer finish on the one side so I can get a nice surface on
the inside so I cut all the pieces I've done that here ahead of time because I
think everybody knows how to use a table saw
to get some you know plywood pieces I pre-drill everything that prevents the
plywood from splitting when I screw in the screws I'm just giving everything a
quick sanding here on the bottom you'll notice that my mold boxes the pieces
overlap each other that way each piece gets three screws and gets three screws
screwed into them it just makes things a little bit easier
for reassembly later you're inputting the bottom on the mold box cut again a
nice piece of plywood then I'm just using a pencil to lay out roughly where
I'm gonna need to drill the holes I take everything over to the drill press and I
drill and countersink the very first hole I'm gonna end up putting a screw in
this one right here just to hold everything tight then I'm gonna go to
the opposite side of the mold box and I'm gonna drill over there
I'm gonna shoot a screw into that as well just to hold all the wood nice and
now I'm gonna drill and countersink all the other holes that screw the bottom or
to attach the bottom on to this both locks yes it's a little overkill the
whole box is a little overkill there's too many screws it's definitely not
gonna leak or nothing like that but better safe than sorry and just makes
the whole thing that much more sturdy you probably could get away with about
half as many screws so what you end up with is a pretty nice AC 3/4 inch
plywood box that's gonna have a nice smooth surface on the inside I go
through and identify all the mating pieces with cymbals this allows me to
take the mold box apart and then put it back together in exactly the same way
I'm just randomly generating marks to put everything together with
now I'm gonna put on a little bit of Johnston's paste wax and this is just to
kind of seal the wood and prevent any silicone from seeping into the wood or
growing silicone out of the mold and just kind of sealing everything up nice
what we're gonna do now is we're gonna add the dimensions onto the box since
it's reusable I'll use it again in the future sometimes and this allows me to
basically pick up the box look at the dimensions and I put them on in inches
and in centimeters and you may ask why would you do that while I design and
measure just about everything in millimeters here in the United States
materials come in gallons and quarts and all kinds of crazy Imperial sizes drives
me crazy so I also include the volumes of the Box in metric and in cubic inches
so I know how much material it's gonna take to fill up the box when I'm making
a mold so that's how I make my reusable mold boxes super handy of course if you
have something that you want to quickly cast it you don't have to use some foam
core and hot glue and make some crappy mold box and wonder whether it's gonna
leak you can just reach on the shelf and grab what fits and use it if you liked
the video I found it useful smash that thumbs up button and leave a
comment don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel you can click on the
little icon on the bottom right of the screen to do that you can follow me on

Braves stripped of 13 prospects, Coppolella banned for life - Duration: 11:18.
Braves stripped of 13 prospects, Coppolella banned for life
ATLANTA (AP) The Braves lost 13 prospects and former general manager John Coppolella was banned for life by Major League Baseball on Tuesday for circumventing international signing rules from 2015-17.
Former Atlanta special assistant Gordon Blakeley, who was the team's international scouting chief, was suspended from baseball for one year by Commissioner Rob Manfred.
Sanctions imposed by Manfred leave the Braves unable to bargain at full strength for a top Latin American prospect until 2021.
Manfred said MLB's investigation determined the Braves funneled extra signing bonus money to five players in 2015-16 by giving the funds first to another player considered a foreign professional under baseball's rules and having the money redistributed to the other five.
If the money had been counted for the other five, the Braves would have exceeded their pool by more than 5 percent and been restricted to signing bonuses of $300,000 or under for international amateurs through June 15, 2019.
Because of that, MLB voided the contracts of nine players the Braves would have been ineligible to sign: Venezuelan infielder Kevin Maitan ($4.
25 million signing bonus), Venezuelan catcher Abrahan Gutierrez ($3.
53 million), Dominican shortstop Yunior Severino ($1.
9 million), Dominican right-hander Juan Contreras ($1.
2 million), Dominican shortstop Yenci Pena ($105 million), Dominican right-hander Yefri del Rosario ($1 million), Cuban outfielder Juan Carlos Negret ($1 million), Venezuelan shortstop Livan Soto ($1 million) and Colombian right-hander Guillermo Zuniga ($350,000).
Three players the Braves signed for $300,000 bonuses were set free because the Braves gave additional money to their agents by signing others to deals with what MLB called "inflated" bonuses: Venezuelan outfielder Antonio Sucre, Dominican outfielder Brandol Mezquita and Dominican shortstop Angel Rojas.
Atlanta's deal with South Korean shortstop Ji-Hwan Bae, which also called for a $300,000 signing bonus, was rejected by MLB because the sides agreed to compensation outside the contract.
In total, Atlanta takes a $16.
48 million loss in bonuses given to prospects who will no longer be with the organization.
In addition, the Braves were banned from signing Robert Puason, a 14-year-old Dominican shortstop with whom they had reached a verbal agreement, when he becomes eligible for a contract on July 2, 2019.
MLB said Puason agreed to sign with the Braves because the team agreed with his agent to deals with six other players for "inflated" signing bonuses.
Atlanta also forfeited its third-round selection in next June's amateur draft as punishment for offering "impermissible benefits" to an unidentified draft pick in an effort to convince him to sign for a lower bonus.
The 13 players keep their bonuses from the Braves, must obtain new representatives and will be free to negotiate as free agents with other teams from Dec.
5 through Jan. 15.
As part of an agreement between MLB and the players' association, a club can use money from either its 2017-18 or 2018-19 signing bonus pool to sign a player but can't combine money from both pools in one contract.
The first $200,000 of a signing bonus will not count against a team's limit, but the $300,000 maximum remains for teams subject to the penalty for exceeding their pool under the previous labor contract.
Manfred said stripping the Braves of the 13 players was not sufficient punishment.
He said "additional sanctions are warranted to penalize the club for the violations committed by its employees.".
Therefore, the Braves will be prohibited from signing any international player for more than $10,000 during the 2019-20 signing period.
Also, the team's international signing bonus pool for the 2020-21 signing period will be reduced by 50 percent.
The Braves already cannot give an international signing bonus of more than $300,000 for 2017-18 and 2018-19 as penalties for exceeding their signing bonus pools.
Manfred said he intends "to discipline other Braves international baseball operations employees who participated in the misconduct.
Blakeley said in a statement released to several media outlets that he accepted responsibility for his actions but was following instructions.
"I am obviously very disappointed in the Commissioner's decision regarding my suspension, particularly given my 32 years of untarnished service to the game," Blakeley said in the statement.
"That said, I am in the digesting the Commissioner's findings and considering all of my options going forward.
I take responsibility for my actions in this situation; however, I always acted under the direction of my superiors.".
Coppolella, 39, did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Associated Press.
He joined former Cincinnati manager Pete Rose (1989 agreement following investigation of his gambling), New York Mets pitcher Jenrry Mejia (2016, third positive drug test) and former St.
Louis employee Chris Correa (2017, hacking into Houston computer systems) on the permanently ineligible list.
He was forced to resign after his 11th season with the Braves and second full year as general manager.
He began his time with the Braves in 2006 when he oversaw quantitative analysis and baseball information initiatives.
Coppolella, a magna cum laude graduate of Notre Dame in business management, was hired by the New York Yankees as a baseball operations assistant in 2000.
He spent seven years with the Yankees, including time as assistant director of pro scouting.
Coppolella was credited with helping to improve the Braves' farm system, which was rated No.
1 this year by Baseball America.
Former team president John Hart was moved to a senior adviser role when a new general manager, Alex Anthopoulos, was hired on Nov.
Hart left the team on Friday.
"The senior baseball operations officials responsible for the misconduct are no longer employed by the Braves," Manfred said.
He also said the Braves "cooperated throughout the investigation.".
Atlanta braced fans for the sanctions when team chairman Terry McGuirk apologized to fans "on behalf of the entire Braves family" for the rules violations at the news conference to introduce Anthopoulos.
The Braves said in a statement they "understand and accept the decision regarding the penalties that have been handed down.
"As we expressed last week, our organization has not lived up to the standard our fans expect from us and that we expect from ourselves.
For that, we apologize.
We are instituting the changes necessary to prevent this from ever happening again and remain excited about the future of Braves baseball.".
Manfred said he is confident the Braves management team led by McGuirk, Anthopoulos and vice chairman John Schuerholz "have and will put in place procedures to ensure that this type of conduct never occurs again and which will allow the club to emerge from this difficult period as the strong and respected franchise that it has always been.
In 2016, the Boston Red Sox lost five players and were banned from signing international amateurs for one year as punishment for rules violations on signing bonuses.

Community Food Works for Newcomer Settlement 2017 - Duration: 7:42.
I came from Syria.
Back home, I'm a pharmacist, and now I work with Community Food Works as peer animator facilitator.
I found this program very useful.
I learned a lot of things.
How can I deal with food, to store the food in the fridge, how to use everything in the kitchen.
I learned about how to read the label, the good ingredients and the bad ingredients in the food
like cholesterol, fats, sodium, sugar.
Very bad for the health.
I come from Egypt.
When I came here I didn't know anybody.
Being involved in this program helped me a lot.
In my kitchen, for me, my kids, my husband, all my family, and back home I told them what I'm learning.
I'm a peer facilitator.
I like to let the people know what I know from information experience that I have from
the program and the training, and especially it's in Arabic.
Because there is nobody here who knows English, if I speak Arabic it will be easy for them to get it.
In our country we eat everything natural and we make it by our hand, but here it's different,
everything is in cans.
Its very healthy for us to keep our traditional food, but we can also use the new food for us, but in our way.
We can add something from us, from our culture.
It will make it very good for us, yeah.
I came from Syria, and I have been in Canada almost two years.
When I came here, I decided I will be an accountant or I will make cakes.
For me I attended that program, I have the food handler certification,
and then I took a cake decoration course.
Having a good job makes your life easier.
So when I found a job, I feel in peace.
I have my job, I have my money, I can take care of my children.
My future dream is to have my own business because I have the food handler certificate.
So I have power to do that, that is why I want to do that in the future.
So we need jobs to survive.
Without jobs, without work, we cannot belong to this country.
You know, a lot of women, they found jobs from this program.
They work at schools, they work also at restaurants.
They got a lot of jobs from this program.
Before this program, I was alone.
Now I know a lot of people from our country, Canadian people, I know a lot of things about
the culture in this country.
I want the program to be forever.

What are kids thankful for this Thanksgiving? - Duration: 2:41.
It's that time again.
We all know it's November,
as you may know, Thanksgiving's in November.
And so today we are here to say, what we are thankful for.
I am thankful for…
I'm thankful for a lot of things
God, because he takes care of me.
I'm thankful for God for making my friends and family
because they make me happy when I'm sad.
banana peels, thank you for bananas.
I'm thankful for God, I'm thankful for my dog, Mia.
I'm thankful for the animals.
My mom, my brother, and my dad.
I am thankful to God for whoever made gravy.
(Why?)
Because gravy is delicious.
Every fall, I really like the fall because…
at the pumpkin patch, it's so fun.
The first thing is…
I'm glad that World War III didn't happen.
(Did you think that it was gonna happen?)
Pretty sure before.
My family, I'm thankful for my friends.
For my dad because he protects me,
and takes care of me.
And he makes sure we're not living on the side of the road.
Mainly my parents
cuz I mess up a lot and they give me a lot of grace.
for my family
(Anything else?)
Well nothing at the moment.
But once I see this video later, I'm gonna think of so many other things.
Like, clothes, my house.
I'm thankful for the whole world.
I'm thankful to God that
He made a thing called
He made a thing called YouTube.
(God made YouTube?)
God put the idea in the people's head who made YouTube.
Food! (for food?)
(why?)
mmmm, I like eating it.
Inventors that invented stuff, like…
cameras and phones.
Or else, like, if there wasn't a camera,
we wouldn't be…be…video taping this right now.
My friends.
(why?)
because they're…they're fun to play with.
I thankful for China.
I think that covered it.
Rejoice in the Lord always.
Pray without ceasing.
Give thanks in all circumstances.
For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus…
for YOU!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

VCU opens new Virginia Treatment Center for Children - Duration: 1:46.
As Virginians and as Rams, we are all committed to all children, and their success.
The most important part of what makes every child unique, of course, is their brain and
their personality, and of course, all of their great potential.
And why it's so important to start with children is because so much of mental illness, when
we look back, when we see them at 22 and 23, there were signs at 11 and 12 that we missed,
and we had the opportunity to grow a healthier child.
After a serious suicide attempt, one of our patients, who is also a teenager, indicated
that he found hope and healing at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children.
And he is thrilled that the new building will reflect the level of care he received.
It's true leadership for the Commonwealth of Virginia to be so investing in the mental
health of the children of this state.
And it's said about this building now, that it is not an institutional setting, it's an
inspirational setting.
And that is what we want every child and family, and every staff member, to experience when
they walk through these doors every day.
It's not just medicine.
It's not just mental health care.
It's actually a family.
It's a family of people that care about our kids as much as they do about their own.

Sax & Percussion // The Evolution of Live Wedding Music for 2017 & 2018 - Duration: 2:23.
I mean there's a there's a few really that are the kind of main ones that we
get enquiries for every single day without fail they'll always be kind of
an act of this you know this kind of style that will come up and the
first one that I really noticed is the sax and percussion style
sure that's really cool right now yeah has that surprised you at all did
you see it coming or I mean it's quite indicative of you know sort of
popular culture these days you know with it being the summer everyone's going to
Ibiza or the Balearic islands or go on a holiday you know and
sort of places like the sort of café Mambo and things like that it's all
gonna be this kind of DJ you know sax percussion it's that kind of style so
people will be going on holiday you know they'll think oh we had a really good
night you know at that particular club lets relive that again definitely and so you
know kind of a lot of radio stations radio one do a lot of coverage over in
Ibiza so I think it's just very much kind of in the public eye at
the moment those acts are fantastic as well I must say and the great thing
about them is you can almost have a little bit of a unique performance in
your night because a lot of their sax and percussion or the DJ is mostly
improvised so you are getting to see some kind of real talent on
stage yeah it's not so scripted it's a bit more freeform and they can really
take the night and run with it yeah and I think sort of expands beyond just the
music side of it there as well because a lot of the saxophonists and
percussionists you know it's all kind of LED instruments so it really kind of
creates like a really good sort of party kind of Club vibe so it's just as much
kind of visual as it is actually a musical then and it creates a great
talking point it gets people sort of up and dancing because it's not just
somebody playing a saxophone it's the whole kind of package that kind of
surrounds that and so that's a very sort of popular thing at the moment
and it always goes down really well the feedback that we get for acts of that
kind of style it's spot on every time so what do you think maybe for next
year do you think it's something that's gonna grow and grow and get even
bigger oh yeah certainly I mean you know it's still as popular as ever now
outside of the wedding business just you know in the industry
in general there's always going to be that kind of stuff happening so if
you're going on your summer holidays this year and you see something
like that which you know you will if you go to the right places
then you know it's still gonna be popular next year because everyone who's
going on holiday this summer their gonna be enquiring for their weddings next summer
so it's definitely still going to be something I think
that's going to be ongoing in 2018
