Sonic Chaos is a game of desire.

It's a game of my desire.

When whispers first emerged of it, I was still rocking a Sega Master System, and although

the previous Sonic outings on Sega's 8 bit platform were good in their own right, they

were very different from the 16 bit releases.

Whereas the Mega Drive offered a fast, open and expansive levels where you felt free to

pave your own destiny, the Master System and Game Gear outings were more linear, slower,

in a sense, more like a Mario game.

Sonic Chaos looked like it would change all of that, and give 8 bit owners, the Sonic

we craved.

It still makes me smile when loading it up, because it felt like a game which pushed the

boundaries, and, wait a minute, what the hell is going on here.

Well, well, well, if it isn't a brand new remake of our faithful friend.

I say remake, but these are not the same Turquoise Hills we witnessed in the original.

Artistic licence has been used to re-imagine the game, and to good effect, bringing Sonic

Chaos well and truly into a 16 bit aesthetic.

You've be forgiven for thinking this is running on the same engine as Sonic Mania, but no,

no.

This is a brand new engine, called the Crimson Engine.

The game has been in development for about a year, and what we're seeing here is a demo,

featuring two stages.

In association with Box Robot Studios, the fine people behind this outing include A+

Start, Mr. Potatobadger, TheStoneBanana, Michael Staple, Heraga, Jassbec and Tpot, and updates

are coming thick and fast, even to the bugs reported in this early demo, released in time

for the Sonic Amateur Games Expo

For me, this seems to be a terrific outing.

All the bits of Chaos which I found compelling are here, along with a whole lot more.

The engine is smooth, fast and feels...

Like Sonic.

It also feels like Sonic Chaos.

Whereas the 8 bit versions had to utilise simplified route designs, here, the creators

have gone to town, but still managing to retain elements which made Sonic Chaos both compelling

and in small doses, frustrating.

Including a multitude of island platforms and uneven terrain, requiring a lot of jumping.

Although we don't have the original Chaos level design, we do have many paths, nooks

and multi-directional play.

In fact, this is probably the first Sonic game I got lost on at one point, but in all

honesty, it didn't feel like a bad thing.

In fact, there's not much which feels bad at all in these two levels.

The things which wowed me in the original Sonic Chaos, like the shuttle loops, are back,

wowing me again.

I know they shouldn't, but seeing these for the first time on 8 bit hardware widened my

eyes, and seeing them again with the Chaos aesthetic pleases me.

In fact, being able to play as Tails was a revelation in the 90s, especially after raising

our hopes in Sonic 2, only to have him kidnapped at the start of the game, and of course, that

feature is back in this version.

The only thing I couldn't find were the rocket boots, but looking at the resources shows

me that they will make an appearance at some point.

Maybe I just missed them.

Talking of resources, apparently, Sonic Chaos is currently making use of the odd sprite

from Sonic Mania, which doesn't seem out wrong or even out of place, but I'm curious as to

whether these will be tweaked or swapped out in the final release.

In any case, I haven't confirmed this, but you can see this Sonic standing sprite, although

very similar to the Mania sprite on the right, has discrete differences.

It's early days, so we've got the odd glitch here and there, along with momentum problems

and tunnel upsets, but that's to be expected and swiftly forgiven.

Personally, I'm looking forward to where this outing goes, because frankly, it feels like

it could easily be the next Sonic Mania.

How Old is Sea Turtle? | Dragon Ball Code - Duration: 3:14.

Sea Turtle or Turtle is the sea turtle that's always hanging out with master Roshi.

He has lived for many generations and even learned the human language.

But how old Is he?

That's what we are gonna talk about today.

Hey how's it going my name is Raf and welcome to Dragon Ball code.

Today we are going to find out how old Sea Turtle is.

And if you think that sea Turtle needs to teach some manners to Master Roshi, hit that

So let's begin.

Sea Turtle was born 237 years before age.

From here on he lives like a normal Turtle until he meets Master Roshi and starts learning

the language of humans.

A lot of years pass and in age 748 he goes out to pick up mushrooms, but he gets lost

and keeps going deeper into the mainland.

Here he is 985 years old.

Surprisingly, he has lived this far on the contrary to real life Sea turtles that have

about the same lifespan as humans.

A year later in age 749 Dragon Ball starts.

Here he meets Goku and Goku helps him and finally takes him back to the sea.

Thanks to Turtle Goku gets to meet Master Roshi.

We fast forward a bunch of years and in age 761 Dragon Ball Z starts.

Now he is 998 years old.

Here Raditz comes to earth looking for Goku.

In age 762, the other 2 saiyans arrive (Vegeta and Napa), our heroes go to Namek looking

for Dragon Balls and so does Frieza.

Then in age 763 he celebrates his 1,000th birthday.

In age 764 Future Trunks arrives, warns everyone about the androids and tells Goku about the

Heart Virus.

In age 767 the androids and Cell arrive.

Cell is defeated and peace is restored once again.

Turtle is 1,004.

Then in age 774 Majin Buu is released and peace disappears.

He is now 1,011 years old.

In age 778 Dragon Ball Super Starts.

Here Beerus shows up looking for Goku.

In age 779 Frieza comes back to earth looking for revenge and here he is 1,016.

Then a year later, in age 780, Goku Black appears when he becomes the test subject when

Goku is Practicing the Mafuba.

And then the Tournament of Power takes place.

While the Tournament of power is going on he is 1017.

Then a few years pass and in age 784 the end of Dragon Ball Z arrives.

So at the end of dragon ball Z Turtle is 1,021 years old.

Now if you want to see how old he was at the end of Dragon Ball GT keep watching.

GT happenes five years later and that's age 789.

And then in 790 is the last time we see Turtle.

So the last time we see Turtle in Dragon Ball GT he is 1,027 years old.

So Now you know how old he is.

These guys'll make a great first time pet,

provided the commitment is taken under consideration,

'cause they live for a long time.

So, these guys can live 30 plus years in captivity.

They're very docile, as you can see,

not very quick moving, very small.

This is full-grown.

So they don't tend to get anywhere over, eight inches long

is pretty much the max size for these guys.

'Cause alotta tortoises get very large,

where as these guys stay nice and small.

Very non-aggressive, as you can see,

not known to be very bitey.

But what set these guys apart from turtles

is that these guys are vegetarian.

So turtles need a protein component,

typically animal protein.

These guys get everything they need

from the vegetation they eat.

So, you wanna pay particular attention with these guys,

because their nails and beaks are constantly growing,

is in their habitats, you wanna keep

some rough surfaces to help keep that stuff worn down,

as well as in their diets, some kind

of rougher textured food items, as well.

These guys are kinda like the cow of the reptile world.

They just kinda roam around their habitat

and graze all day long.

All in all, just very cool little pets.

What is imposter syndrome and how can you combat it? - Elizabeth Cox - Duration: 4:19.

Even after writing eleven books and winning several prestigious awards,

Maya Angelou couldn't escape the nagging doubt

that she hadn't really earned her accomplishments.

Albert Einstein experienced something similar:

he described himself as an "involuntary swindler"

whose work didn't deserve as much attention as it had received.

Accomplishments at the level of Angelou's or Einstein's are rare,

but their feeling of fraudulence is extremely common.

Why can't so many of us shake feelings

that we haven't earned our accomplishments,

or that our ideas and skills aren't worthy of others' attention?

Psychologist Pauline Rose Clance was the first to study

this unwarranted sense of insecurity.

In her work as a therapist,

she noticed many of her undergraduate patients shared a concern:

though they had high grades,

they didn't believe they deserved their spots at the university.

Some even believed their acceptance had been an admissions error.

While Clance knew these fears were unfounded,

she could also remember feeling the exact same way in graduate school.

She and her patients experienced something that goes by a number of names--

imposter phenomenon,

imposter experience,

and imposter syndrome.

Together with colleague Suzanne Imes,

Clance first studied imposterism in female college students and faculty.

Their work established pervasive feelings of fraudulence in this group.

Since that first study,

the same thing has been established across gender,

race,

age,

and a huge range of occupations,

though it may be more prevalent and disproportionately affect

the experiences of underrepresented or disadvantaged groups.

To call it a syndrome is to downplay how universal it is.

It's not a disease or an abnormality,

and it isn't necessarily tied to depression,

anxiety,

or self-esteem.

Where do these feelings of fraudulence come from?

People who are highly skilled or accomplished

tend to think others are just as skilled.

This can spiral into feelings that they don't deserve accolades

and opportunities over other people.

And as Angelou and Einstein experienced,

there's often no threshold of accomplishment

that puts these feelings to rest.

Feelings of imposterism aren't restricted to highly skilled individuals, either.

Everyone is susceptible to a phenomenon known as pluralistic ignorance,

where we each doubt ourselves privately,

but believe we're alone in thinking that way

because no one else voices their doubts.

Since it's tough to really know how hard our peers work,

how difficult they find certain tasks,

or how much they doubt themselves,

there's no easy way to dismiss feelings that we're less capable

than the people around us.

Intense feelings of imposterism

can prevent people from sharing their great ideas

or applying for jobs and programs where they'd excel.

At least so far,

the most surefire way to combat imposter syndrome

is to talk about it.

Many people suffering from imposter syndrome

are afraid that if they ask about their performance,

their fears will be confirmed.

And even when they receive positive feedback,

it often fails to ease feelings of fraudulence.

But on the other hand,

hearing that an advisor or mentor has experienced feelings of imposterism

can help relieve those feelings.

The same goes for peers.

Even simply finding out there's a term for these feelings

can be an incredible relief.

Once you're aware of the phenomenon,

you can combat your own imposter syndrome

by collecting and revisiting positive feedback.

One scientist who kept blaming herself for problems in her lab

started to document the causes every time something went wrong.

Eventually, she realized most of the problems

came from equipment failure,

and came to recognize her own competence.

We may never be able to banish these feelings entirely,

but we can have open conversations about academic or professional challenges.

With increasing awareness of how common these experiences are,

perhaps we can feel freer to be frank about our feelings

and build confidence in some simple truths:

you have talent,

you are capable,

and you belong.

Why Is Adjustable Flow Important? - Duration: 4:07.

Our competition has been promoting nitrogen plastic welders with "pre-set flow" -- as if that's an advantage.

Using the "pre-set flow" on thin plastics might cause you some trouble!

All of Polyvance's nitrogen plastic welders allow you to adjust the flow to suit the job.

This video will show you how to set your flow rate to suit the thickness of the plastic.

Most car bumpers are in the range of 3 millimeters thick.

For the typical car bumper, set the flow on your Polyvance nitrogen plastic welder

to about 12 liters per minute.

In other words, float the metal ball between the 10 and 15 mark on your flow meter.

This is your "baseline" flow setting.

It will give you enough heat to melt the bottom surface of the welding rod

and the top surface of the bumper without overheating it.

Using the same flow setting on a thinner plastic substrate will cause problems.

If you overheat the substrate, it will lose its structure.

This is exactly why Polyvance's nitrogen plastic welders have flow control.

Here, you can see this mounting flange is 2.3 millimeters thick,

and the edge where it mounts to the bumper is less than a millimeter.

So, if the plastic is less than 2 and a half millimeters,

turn the flow down to about 10 liters per minute.

Here, you can see we are welding this rectangular slot tab at 10 liters per minute,

precisely controlling the amount of heat we are inputting to the plastics.

We are not overheating the substrate and causing it to lose its structure.

As a result, after it's cooled off and we do a strength test, the slot tab itself is so strong,

it actually rips the flange off the bumper before the slot tab fails.

If this same slot tab is welded with too high a flow setting, the substrate begins to lose its structure,

resulting in a weld that is not as controlled and accurate.

As you can see, after it has cooled off, the slot tab tears at the edge where the substrate had been overheated.

Polyvance's plastic welders give you the control to prevent this failure mode.

What if you're welding on a thick plastic, like this Freightliner side skirt?

This plastic is over 4 millimeters thick.

In this case, you can turn up the flow to 15 liters per minute

and use the R02-06 thick polypropylene welding ribbon.

This will provide enough flow to melt the plastics efficiently for a faster repair.

Thick plastics are easier to weld since you don't have to worry about distortion of the base material.

In these cases, just turn up the flow and temperature to make a fast, strong repair.

This table shows our recommended flow settings for various plastic thicknesses.

In normal situations, keep the welder set at 12 liters per minute, or your "baseline" flow setting.

Adjust down if you're welding a thin plastic, and up if you're welding something thicker.

Flow is not the only variable in the nitrogen plastic welding process.
