Yesterday I received this message from a student who went to a coding bootcamp, and he was
trying to figure out if it was even worth going to College.
What I said to him was yeah the degree is really important in Corporate America and
it's total Bull Shit, but we live in a society where the piece of paper allows you to play
in the Corporate game.
Guys, that's it.
That piece of paper allows you to play.
We live in a pay to play society in Corporate America.
I wish it was different.
I hate this idea that that's the way it is, but that is the game guys, it is a game.
Um, you know, I've learned to operate in this construct, right, I've learned to kind of
suppress those feelings I had originally of you know, this negativity towards traditional
education and recognize that I gotta go get my MBA, I gotta go to code school, I gotta
go to College and do all these things so that people take me seriously in the market.
Now there's a ton of outliers out there that are gonna say um you know College is Bull
Shit, and you know here's what I did, but guys those are the outliers, that is not the
norm.

I have some breakdowns of the difference between going to trade-school, kind of evaluating
the difference between going to College and trade-school.
Some people, it might be more impactful to go to trade-school, but in general College
year over year has proven with the data that people will make more lifetime income by quite
a wide margin.
