what is up everyone welcome back to my channel today's topic will be how to
prepare for Q4 and how I can help you save the most money to make you the most
profits for your products selling on Amazon I know some of you may think that
I'm crazy for already preparing for Q4 but you know what I was actually
experiencing a very high sales last year during Q4 when I was trying to liquidate
my loser product that I had up on September of last year that was the very
first time that I listed a very first product without any knowledge and it
actually sold out during Q4 so I know how powerful Q4 can be for Amazon
sellers and I want to share with you what I'm planning to do right now so I
can help you save the most money and maximize your profits on Amazon so let's
get started let me tell you my plan so I took some notes and I'm going to share
with you my schedule and what I have planned so I can save myself the most
money and make sure that I do not run out of stock before Christmas because
that tends to happen a lot we know that Black Friday is just a week
before I think it's a week before it's December anyway it's very close to
December and December is the month where literally everybody on the planet
is shopping for Christmas presents so my goal is actually to get all my products
for Q4 into the warehouse by mid November now I am starting to ship by
sea now using my freight forwarder he helps me ship my products by sea and this cuts
my... it gives me a lot more margin for my products it saves me literally a
thousand at least a thousand dollars for every shipment I did the math for my
products and to me I want to save a thousand dollars I would want to rather
ship by sea and wait four to six weeks than to ship by air because some of my
products are kind of bulky and when you ship by air it's based out of volume and
if you have too much volume it's going to cost you more so shipping by sea
would make more sense and I do want to save a few thousand
dollars and I'm going to tell you how I'm going to do this and how you can do
it too so first thing is that I am going I have decided to four times order four
times my original inventory so typically I don't know actually don't know how
many units I order each time I think sometimes it's 1,500 to 2,000 units on
each order and I do that every month so I'm actually going to order four times
as much as that pay my supplier by mid no later than mid-August and I'm going
to give them 30 days exactly one month to produce these products so that would
give me until the second week of September then I will get my freight forwarder to
pick up my products and I am giving two months for sea shipping the reason why
I'm giving two months eight weeks for my products to ship by sea is because this
year during prime day I shipped by sea I shipped my products by sea and it took
eight weeks so you can just imagine how busy the holiday season would be
including Black Friday so I want to give myself eight weeks to make my shipment
through using sea to see how it will take to get to the Amazon warehouse I know
it's going to be I know shipping my sea usually takes four weeks but there's a
lot of other logistics involved sometimes it takes longer to get to the
warehouse sometimes the warehouse is busy and
the forwarder cannot make an appointment on time and that's what happened to me
on prime day luckily on prime day I had enough inventory in stock so I didn't
run out of inventory but my forwarder told me that the appointment for my products
to be in the Amazon warehouse was two weeks delayed because there were so
many people so many sellers trying to get their products in for prime day so
I learned my lesson and I'm going to give myself eight weeks and I really
advise you to as well if you are shipping by air I actually advise you to
give yourself two weeks by air using DDP and then give yourself another two weeks
for Amazon to check in your products in full giving yourself one full month so
make sure your products are in the warehouse before December you want to
start shipping your products by the end of October if you are using air and as I
mentioned earlier if you are shipping by sea like myself I'm shipping my products
in the middle of September hoping that it will make its way to the Amazon
warehouse in Texas by mid November I am pretty certain there won't be any issues
with that so that's just my schedule and I want to share it with
you guys and I strongly advise you to do the same if you don't want to either
run out of inventory or you want to be fully stocked for the holiday season
products during Q4 sell like crazy they sell like crazy it's crazier than Black
Friday it's crazier than Prime Day as I mentioned last year products were just
my product was liquidated immediately so I actually want you guys to order enough
inventory to last you until January because once January comes you have
one month to make more inventory before the Chinese New Year and we as
sellers absolutely hate the Chinese New Year in China because the manufacturers
are off work for a full month and that really hurts our business so again you
want to ship by sea if you can to save that money and then make sure you have
enough inventory for the beginning of January and reorder use all that money
that you made reorder your products so you have enough for the time that they
go on Chinese New Year one thing I want to mention to you is that you will need
a lot of capital for this because you are ordering like for me I'm ordering
four times more and I have the capital I made my profits back a few months
back and I have the capital to pay off four times my inventory so that's a big
advantage to me but if you do not have the money and you are a new seller I
suggest maybe ordering at least twice the amount of inventory and maybe get a
loan if you can because I can almost guarantee you that your product will
sell no problem during Q4 the last
thing you want during Q4 is to be out of stock you do not want to be out of stock
during Q4 you're missing out on big chunks of money okay so another thing I
want to share with you guys is that really do the math on this like I just
mentioned you're going to need a lot of money to pay off your
products so make sure you have the money in case something goes wrong or whatnot
and make sure you have the money ready by mid-August if you are planning to
ship by sea again I strongly advise that you do and I mentioned this before you
want to get a freight forwarder to help you with the logistics and the paperwork
basically you just pay them over PayPal and they pick up your products from your
warehouse and bring it to the Amazon warehouse no problem you just sit back
and relax what else is there I want to also stress that it does take Amazon I
mentioned this a little earlier in this video that it really does take Amazon a
long time to check in your products during the holiday season it could take
up to two weeks and if you are in the small and light program which I do not
suggest you guys to get involved in because I had a really bad experience
with I had a really bad experience with small and light just because it took
them two months literally two months this year in February to check in my
inventory and you do not want to deal with that during the holiday season you
just want your products checked in so make sure you have those two weeks that
you're giving to Amazon to check in your products and that will help you plan
your schedule a little easier so another thing that I'm planning to do this is
optional I don't know if you guys want to do it but I'm going to do it because
I want to bring in the most money for Q4 is that on the second week of November
right before Black Friday I'm planning to relaunch or to just change my
listings around and make sure that all my listings and my products are fully
optimized for Q4 what I mean by this is I want to be on the top of page 1 for
all my products for my biggest keywords now obviously this is going to cost
again a lot money but I think it's worth it I want
my product to be on the top of page one for Q4 so I can maximize my sales and
get the most customers to buy my products if you are planning to do this
again I suggest you to do the math and see if you have the money for it you
don't want your product to be like on page five or page ten during Q4 you'll still
make sales because last year from experience for me my product I couldn't
even find my product in the first 20 pages however my product was selling
every day so last year I was selling that shitty crossbody bag and I was
getting one sale a week because I was a complete newbie I didn't know what I was
doing and then during Q4 I was making one sale a day so that to me was a big
impact was a big jump so that gives you an idea of how crazy Q4 could be and in
order to make the most money you want to make sure that your photos your product
listing inventory and that you are on the top of page one for the whole
month of December now if you were to relaunch your product in November I
think the chances of it sticking on to page 1 may be a lot easier just because
Amazon is getting tons of traffic for customers shopping for
Christmas and the more customers that buy your product the easier it will be
able to stick on the first page if no one's buying your product then your
products going to fall back onto page 2 page 3 and page 4 and we do not want
that right so make sure you have your products ready to go on the second week
of November I am an early bird I love to plan things early and that is why I
have this whole plan written up another thing I wanted to mention I may have
forgotten now anyway just make sure that you guys have all
those things written down for your products I am launching my very last
product for this year it's kind of running behind a little I was supposed
to launch this product the first week of August but there's been some situations
going on with my manufacturer is going and forth and it's a little annoying but
I do not suggest new sellers to launch your products during Q4 reason
being is because there's already so many top sellers that are already on first
page and if you're doing a giveaway during Q4 well you're literally giving
away four times more than what you're supposed to give away right because all
the products on the first page are already generating so many sales so I
strongly recommend you guys to start your product launch before November if
you are going to launch your new product make sure you get that in
before November so you don't run into any of these issues of course it's
totally up to you but I already think it's a little too late to launch a
new product because as I mentioned I do want to ship by sea and
if I were to launch a new product in September well I'm kind of already
missing that sea shipping deadline where my products have to go out by
mid-September anyways I hope you guys found this video useful this is my
timeline and if you really do the math and think about it and get all the
numbers ready for the amount of inventory that you have to order and how
much it will cost you to ship by air versus shipping by sea I can almost
promise you that you are saving yourself a few thousand dollars whether you want
to save those few thousand dollars it's up to you but to me I really do want to
save that few thousand dollars so I can maximize and grow my business even
