Former US ambassador says Donald Trump is weakening the State Department.

The US State Department is being weakened and sidelined under President Donald Trump,

a former American diplomat has claimed.

Nicholas Burns, who served as a senior diplomat under both Republican and Democratic administrations,

told The Los Angeles Times that Mr Trumps foreign policy is a radical departure from

every president since WWII.

Trump is weak on Nato, Russia, trade, climate, diplomacy, said Mr Burns, the former Under

Secretary of State for Political Affairs under President George W Bush.

He added: The US is declining as a global leader.

Since taking office, Mr Trump has pursued an America first agenda that involves

shying away from various global commitments.

This summer, for example, Mr Trump pulled the US out of the Paris climate accord a

landmark environmental agreement to which nearly 200 countries signed in.

He also refused to certify Irans compliance in a historic nuclear deal, and threatened

to make Nato member countries pay more to ensure their defence.

Mr Trump also shocked diplomats earlier this month when he acknowledged Jerusalem as the

capital of Israel a decision the UN believes should only be negotiated during Israeli-Palestinian

peace talks.

Nearly every former US ambassador to Israel told the New York Times that they disagreed

with the Presidents decision.

Former diplomat Elizabeth Shackelford resigned shortly thereafter, claiming the US government

had failed to demonstrate a commitment to promoting and defending human rights and

democracy.

In these challenging global times we should be seeking to conduct more diplomacy with

more resources, not less with less, she wrote in her resignation letter.

I am sure [the State Department] will endure and ultimately overcome this period of marginalisation,

but the consequences will affect our global leadership and status abroad for many years

to come. Many diplomats have raised similar concerns about a lack of resources at the

State Department.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has implemented a hiring freeze at the Department, and proposed

slashing his own budget by almost 30 per cent.

Americas Office of Management and Budget recently directed the Department to cut staffing

by 8 per cent.

Sixty per cent of career ambassadors have left the Department this year, and 74 top

posts remain vacant, according to Foreign Policy.

Democratic members of the House Foreign Relations Committee wrote a letter to Mr Tillerson last

month, urging him to reverse what they called an intentional hollowing-out of our senior

diplomatic ranks.

Mr Burns finds these latest developments ironic.

The President, he said, needs a strong State Department to implement his strategy.

Instead, he added, State and the Foreign Service are being weakened and often sidelined.

Trump s cabinet is carrying out a far-right agenda in secret and refusing to follow disclosure laws report

The only news attempts to surface from president Donald Trump s cabinet is when one of them battles with

President says something absurd or when one if them is plagued with scandal other than that

Members have largely hidden behind the skirts of their boss a Tuesday Politico report

however

Detailed the ways in which Trump s cabinet is secretly carrying out a far-right agenda without the scrutiny that comes from the public as awareness

Of the 17 cabinet officials seven refused to release any public information on their schedules or travel

for some the only way to discover the public activities is through Freedom of Information Act fo a

requests through their office

of the Freedom of Information Act

the law requires agencies to make records promptly available to any person the Education Department and

Environmental Protection Agency released only a few tales and only after they were sued

How officials spent their time is the best window into what their priorities are said former Obama State Department lawyer Austin Evers?

He now leads American oversight a watchdog group that sued to obtain the schedule of of EPA Administrator Scott Pruett and Education Secretary

Betsy DeVos when public officials was this public disclosure of what they do people should be skeptical of what they retrying to hide

Once Evers obtained pre with us information it revealed the Secretary was holding meetings with heads of the industries

He was supposed to be regulating the EPA Walden t release any

What uses the word transparency a lot said clean air task force legal director and weeks?

To whom is the transparency being offered because that's not the American people because we were not able even to see yes talking to

EPA spokeswoman Liz Bowman alleged that the Department has complied with all legal requirements

But that those searching for public information are doing nothing more than trying to score political points

The fact is that the current EPA is the most transparent EPA has been in years?

Bowman said one of the cabinet secretaries that have been attacked for his schedule as interior

secretary Ryan Zink who has been caught using private jets and military planes to travel in style

Former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price was forced to resign for doing exactly the same thing in

August Zink s wife tweeted a photo of the two relaxing on the boat

And what she said was the Bosporus his office Walden T?

Say whether or not the trip was a vacation or official purposes?

Or he flew him to Turkey office staff has lamented that they resync of coordinating the personal travel of Zink s wife, however

Hawaii a requests caught him spending thousands to take helicopters to events near, Washington DC

One of which was to go horseback riding with Vice President Mike Pence. He was also caught using taxpayer dollars to zip around the Caribbean

Zink has also been scrutinized for possible violations to the Hatch Act by using federal funds to help him do political campaigning

This controversial travel has even prompted MSNBC s rachel moderates abet zinc will be the next Secretary to be voted off the island

The act is curious given Trump as criticism of former President Barack Obama that were based on the bump right wing conspiracy theories

When asked about it the White House deputy press secretary said that they don t?

handle schedules for members of the cabinet

So it isn't either problem the White House expects federal agencies to comply with FAA requests Hogan Gidley said in a statement

However according to Politico the agency seemed to be doing the opposite

What is comprehensive and collision on my auto policy? - Duration: 4:05.

Hello Everybody!

Trey Siner here, agent with Trey Siner Insurance Group.

We're so excited to come to you today.

We're gonna start a message or some videos if you will, for the general public and certainly

our clients to educate you on many different things.

So we're sorta titling this as Insurance is Boring.

Who really likes to talk about insurance?

We do!

Our team does because we're sorta odd and we like that.

But we want to try to educate you and keep it in layman's terms so you can understand

what several of theses terms mean and really make you feel comfortable.

So today we're talking about collision and comprehensive coverage.

So comprehensive coverage are things like- 'other than collision' meaning theft, vandalism,

falling objects, hail damage, maybe there's flooding.

I think I said theft already.

And hitting an animal even.

One of the major ones we see is when rocks- when we're following a truck or something

rocks hit our windshield and break our windshield.

All of those things are considered comprehensive coverage.

Now they must be flying objects or moving objects.

If you were to hit something say a pothole, that's going to be considered collision by

most carriers.

So we want to make sure it's a flying object such as a rock coming out of a dump truck.

If that's the case, then you pay your deductible- whatever deductible you've chosen and then

we as the insurance carrier, will pay the rest to take care of that.

The beautiful thing about comprehensive is there are no insurance points.

However, insurance carriers do look at frequency.

So if there's a high frequency of these, they're going to start sending you a nasty gram saying

'Hey, what's going on?

We need to calm this down and slow it down a little bit.'

So, be mindful of how many comprehensive claims you may be filing and we will educate you

on that and keep you up to speed on that.

So comprehensive is real easy.

One thing about a ding in a windshield- let's think about that for a second- a ding in a

windshield that can be repaired cost you nothing with most carriers.

However, if that ding turns into a crack and we have to replace the windshield, then your

deductible comes into play and we obviously have a comprehensive claim and we go out and

put a new windshield in your vehicle.

So that sorta summarizes a comprehensive claim.

But always, always call out agency, talk to us and we'll be happy to walk you through

that process.

Now, secondly we'll talk about collision.

Collision is when you obviously run into something.

Maybe it's a fence, a building, another vehicle.

Those are all collision.

So, with collision you have 1 point, 2 points or 3 insurance points.

And I believe it's about $3,100 in total damage is considered a 3 point accident.

If you have a 3 point accident, that's going to raise your rates 40-60% for 3 years!

So, call us anytime you're involved in something like that and we'll walk you through that

claim process.

But a collision is you hit some thing, we're going to pay out liability to the other party,

and fix their vehicle if it is or there's property damage and then secondly, we will repair your

car assuming you have collision coverage on your policy.

Now, your deductible, whatever that may be, you pay that and then again the insurance

carrier pays out the difference.

So, we all know it's getting more and more expensive to repair cars these days with all

the technology that's in the side mirrors, that's in our windshields, that's in the bumpers

these days, it costs a lot more today to rebuild cars than it used to.

So getting a 3 point accident is pretty common these days.

Again, work with our team, we'll work with the carriers to make sure that all your claim

works out just fine.

And that summarizes a comprehensive and collision coverage.

Please give us a call!

We'll have a link above us or below us of how you can reach us.

We appreciate you and hopefully this is helpful.

Have a great day!
