hello and welcome to through the hedge
we've exited the towpath through a gate
it's it's not always literally through
the hedge it's okay the new title of the
show is gonna be called 'off the boat' if
you keep getting super literal fine so
today we are going to take you along a
boat at the battle field line which is
an old steam line that runs from Shackerstone
to another place it's got I think
at least two stops I don't know we're
gonna go on the train because I think
the steam train only runs out the
weekends yes and I don't know that we're
gonna go on the other train because it
costs 12 pounds and I don't know why I
want to pay 12 pounds for it just a
train ride we're gonna show you it in
case you're ever on the Ashby canal or
if you're driving there's parking and
you want to have a day out and you were
thinking should we go to the Battlement
Battlement field no battlefield
battlefield 'ment', - no no 'ment' in it there's a tea
rooms here which we are hoping to have a
cup of tea
yes and a little museum as well and I
think you can look run the engine sheds
and stuff so let's go take a look come
with us
in 1873 the London North Western Railway
and the Midland Railway opened a joint
line between Moira West and Nuneaton
although it was known as the Ashby
Nuneaton line the track actually doesn't
go to at Ashby very much like the canal
the train line is 29 miles long how long
would that take my boat's couple of
weeks our speed a speed higher boat
speed two days
timetabled passenger services stopped in
1931 and at its height at its peak this
train this busy train station carried or
saw five trains coming in a day in each
direction this station opened in 1873 as
part of London North Western Transport
1873 and this is the viewing section
you
you can view Kath today only you have to
get here quick she departs in 15 minutes
there are three stations along the
battlefield line Shackerstone which is
where we are Market Bosworth which is
not far from the famous Battle of
Bosworth and Shenton so you can choose
to take the train from Shackleton to
Shenton do your viewing and then come
back or you can walk back along the
canal because the train line runs mainly
parallel with the canal or if one person
on your boat wanted to go they could go
and through the Train right and you
could race them on your boat and if
someone had a van then you can help
though yes and then you get the three of
you that sounds like a collab it does
the battlefield line is run by
volunteers if you are local to the area
you can actually become a member and
apply for various different roles to
help them run the railway that could be
driving gardening all kinds of things
training is available for more
information click the link in the
description below we go get a cup of tea
yeah let's get a cup of tea there is a
tea shop there is a tea shop oh they run
lots of events and they're mainly at
market Bosworth station because it used
to be the kind of the hub of the train
line and I guess they've got a bit more
space there yeah
thanks for joining us today as we've had
a little look around the battle field
line stationed at Shackleton through the
hedge.

Earth atmosphere is full of Particles - Duration: 2:09.
They can not be seen with the naked eye, but the air is filled with particles of salt,
smoke, dust and other microscopic residues.
NASA has recently released a stunning yet frightening aerosol image across the planet.
Hey there, This is Bhaskar Banerjee and you are watching YouTube Channel Bhaskban.
According to NASA, with satellites and ground sensors, the agency has managed to create
a map showing particle clouds floating around the globe.
What are aerosols?
Aerosols are ubiquitous liquid or solid particles found in air currents in the atmosphere.
These particles have sizes ranging from a few nanometers to tens of micrometers.
Aerosols are everywhere found in the oceans, seas, forests, deserts.
cities and rural areas.
These liquid or solid particles are produced by a series of natural or man-made phenomena,
according to NASA.
Approximately 90% of aerosols present in the air are of natural origin.
In the picture, the blue color is the aerosol from the sea, and the purple color represents
dust clouds.
The 10% of aerosols produced by humans are found in industrial or urban areas.
These come from cars, power plants.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is England's best left-back, says Ian Wright
Luke Shaw is England's best left-back, says Ian Wright, after the Manchester United defender was recalled to Gareth Southgate's squad for the upcoming Nations League games.
The 23-year-old has played the entirety of United's three Premier League games so far this season and scored his first senior goal against Leicester.
Shaw suffered a horrific broken leg in September 2015, which kept him out for nearly a year, and since returning to action he has received public scrutiny from current manager Jose Mourinho.
England recall Shaw, Young left out.
'Give English youngsters a chance'.
But his surge into form has seen him included in the England set-up for upcoming games against Spain and Switzerland, and Wright believes Shaw was right to be selected ahead of United team-mate Ashley Young at left-back.
"You can't totally blame everything on the manager [Mourinho] - he hasn't helped - but he himself needed to be a lot stronger in the way he was trying to get himself going and he seemed to shy away from it," the former striker told The Debate.
"He needed to get through that, which he's now done, and we've seen a different side to Shaw which I'm really impressed with.
I just hope he can continue doing it because I think, on form, he probably is England's best left-back.
"He came back early in pre-season to work on his fitness and he's seeing the fruit of his labours now.
What he's done mentally too, I think we're going to see a really good player from this point on.
I thought he was good against Tottenham, going forward positively and it's what you want.".
Former defender Danny Higginbotham echoed Wright's sentiments and says Shaw could be in the England first team for the best part of a decade.
"I'm absolutely delighted.
When he got that horrific injury against PSV, he was probably performing best on the pitch," he said.
"The one thing everyone has said about Jose Mourinho is he was putting him down, but when they got beaten by Tottenham on Monday, who was the first player he went up to and put his arm around him?.
"Shaw is a player I look at and think 'he could be England's left-back realistically for the next six or seven years.
He's a young player and he's got everything.
Hopefully now, fitness-wise, it's about staying injury free and I think he's an outstanding player.".
Ex-England Women's international Alex Scott also thinks that Shaw is a missing piece of England's current set-up, despite Young's exploits at the World Cup helping the side into the semi-finals.
"All credit to Ashley Young playing at left-back, but we did lack that natural left footer that gets to the end and straight away, puts a cross in and then Harry Kane is waiting for that.
Instead, you've got Young cutting inside on his favoured foot," she said.
