Waching daily Mar 5 2018

Hi! This is Fabiana.

This video doesn't have an audio file but I wanted to show you how my recovery is going.

Sadly, I've been without a therapist for a while

So I've taken to YouTube for rehabilitation exercises I can do on my own.

As you can see, I can now willingly stretch my elbow without assitance and keep it that way for a while.

I can also rise and lower my arm once it's stretched.

As well as rise it high enough for my hand to reach above my head.

I can also lower it at will, with enough control to match my left arm's speed.

This are all movements that weren't possible for me to do on my own a bit more than 1 year ago.

I can bend my elbow and lift my hand enough to reach my chest

I can almost reach my chin too

Lowering my hand is also a lot more controlled now

As is turning my wrist

which you can see happening without much difficulty now

Actively opening my hand, completely, is still tricky

Hypertonia is still visible, but so is the general flexibility of my joints

and my fingers now stay stretched, or bent, for longer if I want them to

My elbow's and shoulder's strenght has also improved

as has the general muscular control of my arm.

My wrist's flexibility is a lot more natural now

as well as that of my fingers.

Let's take a closer look

at my hand

The active closing is visible now

I have limited control of my fist's strenght

The wrist turns and twists easier and without much stiffness

And stretches aren't painful

My fingers stay stretched a lot longer

and i can actively close them even with no support on my arm

Moving the thumb still requires assistance

but it stretches easier now.

The muscles also have more elasticity now.

At the moment I do mostly passive excersises

and a lot of stretching

Repetitive movements to help with my brain's plasticity and my body's memory.

I have noticed this also helps with muscle strenght

and my arm's stretch range has also expanded

The movement is a lot more controlled

and faster in action.

I'm more aware of what my joints are doing

I can control them better now.

and have a better understanding of how my brain is re-learning

In general, the improvements are visible

but the ideal recovery time after an injury keeps getting shorter

and access to an active therapy method has become a necessity now.

This particular fact,

along with the improvement my brain has proved

it is capable of going through;

are the reasons I think make me a

great candidate for the Hand Of Hope Programme.

Research explores effects of light at night for young children - Duration: 1:14.

It is well-known that humans are very sensitive to the effects of light.

However this has not been examined in young children, so the purpose of this

study was to look at melatonin suppression in response

to evening bright light exposure in preschool aged children.

I think it's really important to understand the effects of light in young children

and how it can affect sleep especially,

because sleep problems that develop early in childhood can persist

later on in life and have a multitude of negative consequences.

In order to understand how light impacts the circadian system of young children we introduced a

light table and had children play at the light table in order to receive the light stimulus.

So there were two primary findings for this study the first is that

melatonin was suppressed by almost 90% in response to one hour of bright light

before bedtime. And the second finding is that the effects of the bright light

exposure were sustained, even after the light stimulus had ended.

About 30% of young children experience some type of evening sleep disturbance, so parents

should avoid having their children being exposed to bright light and then

immediately going to bed.

Crossing the Border for His Son's Prescription - Duration: 3:25.

We're gonna be driving from Berwyn, Pennsylvania,

which is about a half hour out west of Philadelphia,

into Canada to buy some medicine for my son

who suffers from alopecia areata.

When he was in about seventh grade, he lost all of his hair,

and has worn hairpieces

all throughout middle school and high school.

Psychologically it was really tough.

Usually get up about five in the morning, brush my teeth,

put my clothes on and get on the road.

On an annual basis

the drug costs me about $15,000 in Canada,

in the United States, where it's priced right now,

it's about $47,000 a year.

It's about a 6 1/2 hour to 7 hour drive

to save almost $3,000 a month,

it's certainly worth the trip.

All right, see ya later, me too, bye bye.

My son Jonathan, who we're going to get the medicine from,

he's a sophomore at Penn State.

He started the medicine in March of 2016.

By Christmas time, he had a full head of hair

and the difference in him was just fantastic

from a psychological standpoint,

absolutely he's in a much better place.

From what I understand,

it is technically illegal to get the medicine in Canada.

As long as you're not purchasing it in bulk supply,

they are fine with Americans going over

and purchasing medicine.

Are you bringing anything in with you today?

Ah, no.

Okay, you're all set.

Thank you.

I need to get a prescription from a Canadian doctor.

You've arrived at your destination.

So I actually found a doctor through the Walmart

where I buy the medicine for $75 for three months.

We're on our way to Walmart

which is only about a half a mile away.

Assuming Bank of America cooperates

and they don't reject the charge,

I should be in here in 3-4 minutes and out.

But this is the fifth time I've done it

and they've rejected the charge every time,

even though I've told them when I'm coming,

how much I'm spending and where I'm coming to,

so wish me luck.

(voice on loudspeaker)

See the client. Okay.

I'll be back.

No problem.

I've asked for the number of the fraud department,

I called that and I got the wrong number.

Now I'm talking to somebody that says she can't do it,

but she's trying to figure out how she can help me

and so she put me on hold rather than transfer me.

Well, finally success.

This is the contraband.

$1,266 in Canada.

$3,808 in the United States,

at this per time.

Duty free, Peace Bridge, just say Canada.

Six hour drive, 5 hours and 55 minutes according to Waze.

We're on our way home.

Mission accomplished.

Are you sure we should be looking for Ray after he told us not to?

What the hell are you doing here?

Ditto.

I thought you said they'd be psyched to see us?

(nervous laugh)

Look, I know what you're both thinking,

but if you'd just let me explain.

If you're here to apologize for burgling the bureau, and humiliating Gary --

Well we actually did that for a good reason, because we have to stop Mallus --

Yeah.

Mallus.

And yes, we know all about him.

Sara basically met him.

And you're here because the Time Bureau has finally come to its senses, or...?

Ava and I are --

Working together.

Independently.

Right.

Wally, it's good to see you!

I remember you from Barry and Iris' wedding.

Yeah, wasn't that so fun?

It was such a beautiful ceremony.

The hors d'oeuvre were like meh.

And then the Nazi invasion.

The what?

All right, you guys still haven't told us why you're on the ship.

Atoning.

I hope.

I should have never kept you both in the dark.

The deaths of those agents and the return of Damien Darhk

will haunt me for the rest of my days.

But surely you understand the gravity now of what we're facing.

Hey!

Nate, my brother!

What are you doing here?

Hey man.

What the hell are you doing here?

Any sign of Ray?

Oh no, just another Grateful Dead-end.

I for sure got a contact high.

Yeah, and I managed to swipe Jerry Garcia's glasses.

Uh oh.

Once a thief, always a thief.

No, we allow light to moderate theft on this ship.

We like to call them souvenirs.

Oh..

It's ok, it's ok.

Top Recommendations For A 6 Months Trip To SE Asia (2018) - Duration: 5:17.

so I saw a question in quora and it said what are your recommendations for a six

month visit to Southeast Asia I want to say Asia rather than Southeast Asia

because I think there are also some places just outside that are really good

and rather than just going through a list of countries that you should go to

I want to talk about how to mix it up a bit

if you're backpacking for example I would say mix it up with doing some

traveling then some activities some cities and then a bit of relaxing and

I'll go through which ones I like for each of those if we start with the

actual travel I think a good country to travel in is India there are so many

different things happening there the cities are a lot different the modes of

transport are different and you can see a lot of things also it's a lot

different in the different parts of the country so in the South you've got the

rivers in Kerala you've got some beaches then inland you've got the hill station

ooty if you go up to the west of the country near Pakistan then you've got

deserts and some desert forts things like that or you can sleep outside in

the desert on go on a camel trek then if you got north you've got all the hills

up near Nepal you've got Himachal Pradesh I think it is you can go up in

the mountains there a little bit dangerous on the roads but quite

exciting that's what I would do as one place India another one China you've got

a lot of variety as well some nice rice terraces and rice fields lots of hills

and then you've got the cities on the east side also Vietnam here and Cambodia

you can travel through those and actually Vietnam now is very easy to

travel in that's where I'm at the moment in Phu Quoc an island down south but you

can also take some of the different transports I'm just flying around but

you can do other types of transport maybe you could do island hopping which

is pretty good in the Philippines Indonesia I've not really done it much

I've only been to Bali and you could even do that in Thailand

as well down in the south that's what I would do is a bit of travel some

activities you could do you could do scuba diving they do that here in phu

quoc and the Philippines Thailand are good for those you can also do

rock-climbing you can do in southern Thailand hiking I probably would go to

Nepal that's where I did it that was the best place for it up in the mountains

that's some of the activities you could do but if there's an activity you like

then just check where you can do it that brings us onto the cities and I'm not a

city lover so about the only one I probably would say is okay is Bangkok

because there's a lot of things happening there maybe Tokyo but Tokyo is

very expensive it is good to go and see the culture the different culture there

in Japan but it is expensive so maybe make that a short trip and the last

thing really is relaxing and that's just finding an island what I used to do when

I started backpacking maybe go off two or three weeks traveling and then i'd spend

a few days by the beach there are plenty of beaches in Southeast Asia and Asia in

the south of India you've got Goa then in Thailand all in the South you got

plenty of places Philippines you've got lots of islands here in Vietnam you've

got a few places so plenty of places to relax I would just do that kind of mix

all of those four things and then I think you'll have a kind of a

varied thing and six months is actually not long to travel you can maybe go to

four or five countries in that time but one recommendation I would do is just

come out on a one-way ticket and go to one place first you're gonna meet people

and they'll have done different things and they'll tell you what they like

and you'll meet people who want to do something with you you know you can go

as a group sometimes it kind of makes it more fun when you're meeting people

and doing things together with them so I would go on a one-way ticket just check

first because if you're coming from Europe

then you sometimes need an onward ticket or you can get a visa then it's no

problem if you're actually travelling within Asia most of the time you don't

need any onward ticket just a few countries like the Philippines you do so

that's my advice anyway if you're coming out to Southeast Asia do plenty of

things you love it and it's really relaxing friendly and enjoyable

Jurgen Klopp admits he is likely to make changes for Liverpool vs. Porto - Duration: 2:20.

Jurgen Klopp admits he is likely to make changes for Liverpool vs. Porto

Jurgen Klopp is likely to make one, two or three changes to his Liverpool lineup for Tuesday nights Champions League clash with Porto.

The Reds hold a dominant aggregate lead over their last-16 opponents heading into the second leg at Anfield, after winning 5-0 in Portugal last month.

With a potentially season-defining trip to Old Trafford to take on Man United to come on Saturday, Klopp is widely expected to rotate his side in midweek.

But while the manager has maintained his stance that he wont make wholesale changes, speaking to reporters at Melwood on Monday he did admit some alterations are likely.

I havent made a decision so far. Its about bringing in fit players, he explained. We are in the moment in the league where we all have to deliver, play constantly, stuff like that.

You dont rotate to avoid something, you only use the players that are in the best shape. If it will be a different lineup to Saturday I dont know, but it would only be because we want to win the game.

Thats what I meant when I said we wont rest players, we may make one, two or three changes, but only to win the game.

Given the quick turnaround between Saturdays 2-0 win over Newcastle United and the visit of Porto, Klopp has little opportunity to prepare his side on the training field.

And detailing the weeks schedule he gave further indication that some of those who turned out against the Magpies could be left out on Tuesday night.

We won the game in quite an impressive way, thats true. We were very, very effective that night: six shots on target, five were in, he said of the previous victory over Porto.

But we respect Porto too much and respect the competition too much to think about real rotation or whatever.

We had the game on Saturday, and it was an intense game. We had a few knocks, things here and there, ill players before that so I havent made the decision yet.

Yesterday we trained with nine players, today is a secondary recovery [day]. Tomorrow is a little session with a few tactical things, [then] a video meeting with the boys to prepare ourselves for the game.

We want to win the second half of the game, thats all.

Porto are missing a host of their key players for the clash in Alex Telles, Danilo, Soares and Moussa Marega, providing the Reds with a further boost as they push for the quarter-finals.

The Walking Dead regulars sign up for season nine – except THIS major star - Duration: 3:26.

The Walking Dead regulars sign up for season nine – except THIS major star

Viewers of the hit AMC show are just getting used to Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) death, as seen in The Walking Dead season eights mid-season premiere.

But they may soon be forced to say goodbye to another major character as one of the main stars is yet to sign a contract for The Walking Dead season nine.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, all of The Walking Dead cast has signed up for season nine and beyond apart from Lauren Cohan.

This will come as no surprise to the shows superfans, as rumours of a roadblock in contract negotiations emerged last month.

Then there was the confirmation that Cohan had signed up for a lead role in a new ABC pilot Whiskey Cavalier.

"Weve had people do other shows and other gigantic movies that take America by storm" Scott Gimple However exiting Walking Dead showrunner Scott M Gimple hasnt ruled out Cohan signing up for season nine, even in a limited role.

He told The Hollywood Reporter that a return was definitely possible as these things do happen.

Gimple said: Weve had people do other shows and other gigantic movies that take America by storm.

Were figuring it out with each other and trying to let people be able to do other things and stick around.

I shant even entertain the thought..

Cohans role as Maggie Rhee has become more prominent recently after she became the leader of the Hilltop community.

But she could still be involved in the future of the show in a smaller capacity at least, even if her new show is picked up to series.

Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, managed to film Black Panther during the hiatus in The Walking Dead.

Cohans potential departure from the show isnt the only change set for the series ninth season.

It was announced that Gimple would be replaced as showrunner by Angela Kang for the next season.

He will now oversee the brand and all of its extensions, including spin-off Fear The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead continues Mondays at 9pm on Fox UK.
