Vanessa Haydon Trump, the wife of President Trump's oldest son, Donald Trump Jr. , filed for divorce on Thursday afternoon in a Manhattan court.

Trump, 40, is seeking an uncontested divorce to end her 12-year marriage with the president's son. Mr Trump, 40, the eldest of five children from President Trump's three marriages, met his wife, a former model, when his father introduced them at a 2003 fashion show.

They married in 2005 at Mar-a-Lago, the family's club in Palm Beach, Fla. They have five children. "After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways," the couple said in a joint statement.

"We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.".

The couple live in Midtown Manhattan during the week, and the family often spends weekends in the Catskills.

Mr Trump and his brother Eric, 34, took over the management of the Trump Organization after their father was elected president.

While his sister Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, moved to Washington and took senior jobs in the White House, Donald Trump Jr. chose to stay in New York after the election.

He has stayed in close contact with his father, often defending the Trump administration on Twitter and in interviews on Fox News, and he recently campaigned in Pennsylvania for the Republican candidate in a special election.

The White House special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, is examining a June 2016 meeting Donald Trump Jr. had with Russians offering dirt on Hillary Clinton and the president's role in providing a misleading response to The New York Times last summer for an article about the meeting.

Last month, Vanessa Trump and her mother were hospitalized as a precaution after opening an envelope containing a white powdery substance that was later determined to be cornstarch, police officials said. A Massachusetts man was charged with sending the threatening letter.

"No one should ever have to deal with this kind of sickening behavior," Donald Trump Jr. said on Twitter about the episode.

A onetime model with the Wilhelmina agency, Ms. Trump was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and once dated the actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

At the time of their engagement, Mr Trump accepted a ring from the Bailey Banks & Biddle jewelry store in Short Hills, N.J., in exchange for publicity, recreating his proposal in a New Jersey mall. The two were married 10 months after Donald J. Trump married the former model Melania Knauss.

In an interview last year with The Times, Donald Trump Jr. said a romantic evening with his wife included dinner at home (he likes to cook) and, perhaps, a movie. He tweeted about when his wife "took/dragged" him to see "Fifty Shades Darker." (He didn't love it.).

Using her Twitter account with the handle @MrsVanessaTrump, Ms. Trump frequently retweeted her husband's posts pertaining to family life, many of which include photographs of their weekends in the Catskills.

But her tweets about him appeared to stop in June 2017. The last tweet referring to her husband was a family portrait in which she wished the president a happy birthday.

Mr Trump, who is active on Instagram, has posted mostly photos of him and his children in recent months. The last photograph with his wife was a photo of the family in February, when they were in Palm Beach celebrating a son's birthday.

BSS was a special unit group from SEVENTEEN whose name was created by combining the three members real names of Boo Seung Kwan (Seungkwan), Lee Seok Min (DK), and Kwon Soon Young (Hoshi) to create BooSeokSoon.

Marrying into the wealthy Trump family isn't all it's cracked up to be, according to a new report from Page Six. The outlet, which on Thursday broke the news of Donald Trump Jr. 's split from wife Vanessa, now reports that she filed for divorce "because he's cheap.

Friends of the former model say President Donald Trump's eldest son treats his wife a like a "second-class citizen" and offers her little spending money. "He gives her very little help and has been keeping her on a tight budget. She doesn't live a lavish life and can very rarely pick up a check at dinner," one friend tells Page Six.

"Don Jr. was never generous with money," adds a second source. "Vanessa has had to rely on her mother for financial help for her personal needs.". Vanessa's spokesperson denied the claims to Page Six.

The couple — who share five children: Kai, 10, Donald III, 9, Tristan, 6, Spencer, 5, and Chloe, 3 — "have tremendous respect for each other and always have," the spokesperson said.

"The notion that she has had to rely on her family for assistance is absolutely false and utterly ridiculous.".

A source who sometimes socializes with Vanessa and Trump Jr. tells PEOPLE that the couple had been living "separate lives" for a while. "Even before all this Trump presidency stuff started, they weren't good and their marriage was strained," the PEOPLE source says. Page Six also reported Monday that Trump Jr. had an affair with former Danity Kane singer and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Aubrey O'Day while he was serving as an adviser for Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.

The outlet cited anonymous sources who said that Trump Jr. , 40, and O'Day, 34, a former singer in the girl group Danity Kane, had rendezvous in multiple cities during their alleged affair and wrote each other love letters.

The sources also said that Trump Jr. told his wife he planned to leave her for O'Day and that Vanessa was "devastated" by the news.

One source said the alleged affair marked the beginning of the end for Trump Jr. 's marriage and said Vanessa planned to leave her husband then. O'Day's manager, Steven Grossman, told PEOPLE that she is not commenting at this time.

A spokesperson for Trump Jr. did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Porsche's 670 hp Mission E prepares to wrestle Tesla for EV dominance - Duration: 8:08.

Porsche won applause when it confirmed plans to make the all-electric Mission E concept

a reality.

The Tesla-baiting sedan was so well-received by enthusiasts and would-be buyers that the

German firm announced that not a lot will change as it transitions from a show car to

a production model.

Recent factory photos show a model very close to the concept in terms of design.

Comments from members of Porsche's top brass suggest it will hold its own in the performance

department, too.

"The external design will be very similar," Porsche CEO Oliver Blume told Top Gear.

Of course, Porsche will have to make a few tweaks to get the Mission E to comply with

safety regulations all around the world, so it won't be exactly identical to the concept.

In terms of size, the firm's first battery-electric vehicle will be shorter and a little lower

than the Panamera.

The Mission E will offer a driving position similar to the one found in the 911, a so-called

"hovering" center console, and an entirely digital instrument cluster.

Porsche promises to give the two rear passengers what it calls a "foot garage," a solution

which clears up more space by making the footwells markedly deeper than the rest of the floor.

It will be practical, too, because it will offer a trunk on both ends.

E-power, and lots of it At launch, the Mission E lineup will include

three models rated at 402, 536, and 670 horsepower, respectively.

All-wheel drive will come standard, according to Automobile Magazine, and rear-wheel drive

could be offered a little later in the production run.

The list of extra-cost options will include a limited-slip rear differential.

Anything is possible at this point with the not-insignificant exception of an internal

combustion engine.

The Mission E will be all-electric, all the time.

It will perform the benchmark zero-to-60-mph sprint in under 3.5 seconds in its fastest

configuration.

Top speed will be electronically limited to 155 mph.

The battery pack stuffed under the passenger compartment will store enough electricity

for about 300 miles of real-world range, according to early estimates, and it will be compatible

with Porsche's novel 800-volt technology.

Porsche is working with external suppliers like LG and Panasonic to develop the lithium-ion

pack.

"The past history [of LG and Panasonic] makes them battery experts, in particular

when it comes to smartphones and their requirements," Uwe Michael, the head of electrics/electronics

development at Porsche, explained in an interview.

The pack will be designed specifically for the Mission E. "The batteries have a major

influence on driving dynamics, for example.

Off-the-shelf procurement is simply not an option for Porsche," he added.

Looking ahead, the firm is spending its development dollars on solid-state batteries.

It doesn't expect the technology to be ready for series production until the late 2020s,

though.

Lithium-ion will be the standard chemistry in electric cars in the coming years.

Let's talk in volts Unique on the market for the time being, the

800-volt charging system will give the battery an 80-percent charge (about 250 miles) in

under 20 minutes — at least theoretically.

Porsche predicts 800-volt technology will help make the E-Mission more convenient to

drive while also making it more dynamic.

It's not just an electric car; it's an electric Porsche.

"Up until now, all the automotive manufacturers have [added more power] by increasing the

current.

But this means that the cables have to get thicker, which in turn means a huge increase

in weight, and the limits of the system are quickly reached.

To circumvent this problem, we're increasing the voltage in our charging system," Michael

explained.

Porsche concedes that, while bringing an EV with an 800-volt charging system to the market

is feasible, it's a little bit useless unless there's a vast network of 800-volt charging

stations that it can be plugged into.

Blume said Porsche is currently talking to government officials in Europe, the United

States, and China about investing in 800-volt stations.

For its part, Porsche is already testing the technology in Berlin.

This firm is also working on installing six test stations at its American headquarters

in Atlanta.

An intelligent Porsche Like most modern, high-end electric cars,

the Mission E will be fully connected and come with some level of autonomy.

Level five — full autonomy, where a driver isn't required — isn't a priority for

Porsche, according to Michael.

But, the sedan will offer driver-assistance systems (like InnoDrive) designed to take

over in a traffic jam or on a long road trip, for example.

Porsche is also investing in an over-the-air updating system it calls the "Car for Life"

concept.

In the not-too-distant future, it will be possible to update the infotainment system

and many other systems at the push of a button.

The driver could, conceivably, unlock more range.

"A great deal is feasible [in the field of over-the-air updating systems].

Some services will be mandatory updates of existing functions.

Drivers will be able to select others individually as and when they need them, and maybe even

temporarily.

Increased engine power or a new aquaplaning warning service are just two examples,"

Michael pointed out.

When can I buy one?

Camouflaged prototypes are already crisscrossing the globe.

We expect the Porsche Mission E to make its public debut at a major auto show either late

this year or in early 2019.

If this prediction is accurate, the company's first full-production electric model will

arrive in showrooms in time for the 2020 model year.

Porsche could later keep the momentum going — and leverage the benefits of economies

of scale — by introducing at least one additional electric model.

The Mission E's platform (called J1 internally) won't spawn an SUV, though.

"Our target with the Mission E was to have a very sporty and low car.

Using this platform for a high-floor car [like an SUV] would be tough.

But if you talk about low-floor cars, something like the Cross Turismo, or if you talk about

two-door cars, or if you talk about convertibles, the platform will be ready for that.

You can modify the wheelbase to a certain extent without losing battery capacity.

It's very flexible," Stefan Weckbach, the head of Porsche's EV program, told Digital

Trends in a roundtable interview of the sidelines of the Geneva Auto Show.

Weckbach candidly added the rugged-looking Mission E Cross Turismo concept introduced

in Geneva remains a strong candidate for production, though it won't arrive until a few years

into the standard model's production run.

Production of both models will take place in a dedicated facility located on the outskirts

of Stuttgart, Germany, the company's hometown.

In terms of pricing, the Mission E will slot between the Cayenne and the Panamera.

It will carry a base price of about $75,000 before incentives are factored in.

In other words, it will fight in exactly the same segment as the Tesla Model S.
