Foods for Treating Hypotension

Low blood pressure is also known as hypotension. People with hypotension may experience dizziness, vertigo, or fainting. If you suffer from this problem, there are some foods that can help treating hypotension.

Find out what they are in this article.

What is hypotension and what causes it?.

Blood pressure is the force exerted by the blood on the walls of veins and arteries throughout the circulatory system.

Therefore, hypotension is lower than normal pressure (according to the range specified by the scientific community according age and sex).

It's important to know that blood pressure is not the same in everybody.

For example, a new-born child has lower blood pressure than a teenager, and an adult has lower blood pressure than an elderly person.

In adults, or healthy and athletic people, normal blood pressure is around 120/80 mmHg.

In these cases, hypotension is caused by good cardiovascular health.

However, in elderly patients, it can be a sign of a problem related to the vital organs.

When blood pressure is too low, it means that there is not enough blood-flow to the vital organs.

Therefore, the person should not over-exert themselves to avoid an increase in cardiac activity (tachycardia).

Hypotension is diagnosed when the systolic pressure is less than 90 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is less than 60 mmHg.

This can be caused by several factors, including:.

Consumption of anxiolytics, antidepressants or narcotic analgesics, Heart attack, arrhythmia or heart failure, Diabetes, Dehydration and eating disorders, Consumption of diuretics or medicines for the heart.

Basically, the symptoms of low blood pressure are related to weakness and dizziness.

The person may also look pale, faint, or suffer from breathing problems or palpitations.

Some also experience headaches, blurred vision, numbness of the limbs, and chest pain.

Daily habits and hypotension.

There is much more talk about hypertension than hypotension, since the former usually has more serious consequences for the body.

However, we can also see that there are foods that raise blood pressure in cases of hypotension.

If someone has low blood pressure, theyre usually given a salty snack.

This may be a remedy for the moment, but its not advisable to just increase your salt intake because it can cause the opposite problem.

Its also recommended to eat some salty food at breakfast (for example, a slice of bread with butter) and avoid prolonged periods without eating.

It's far better to eat 6 moderate portions than 3 or 4 large ones.

Divide your meals into breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, a snack and dinner.

This way, you'll avoid having an empty stomach for many hours and lowering your blood pressure.

In addition, you should try not to consume sugary drinks or coffee.

Although this activates blood circulation, the effect is brief.

But once it happens, blood pressure may fall to lower than before.

Also, its not good to drink alcohol because it reduces cardiac output and the health of your veins.

What foods should you consume when you have hypotension?.

These foods can help you whether you suffer from momentary low pressure or consistent hypotension.

In any case, we recommend that you consult a doctor to work out the reason for the problem.

1. Beetroot juice

Due to its content of natural sugars, beet, or beetroot, has the ability to regulate blood pressure.

You can drink it on an empty stomach, in the morning or in the afternoon when you return home as a way of treating hypotension.

Ingredients.

2 beetroots, ½ cup of water (125 ml).

Preparation.

Peel the beetroot and cut it into pieces.

Place in the blender and add water.

Mix well until you get a smooth shake.

Drink immediately (you can add ice cubes or mint leaves if you wish).

2. Raisins

These naturally keep blood pressure levels within normal limits, since they improve the function of the adrenal gland.

You can eat a handful of raisins when you experience the first symptoms of hypotension.

3. Water

In some cases, blood pressure drops when we're dehydrated.

Therefore, don't forget to drink at least 2 litres of water per day.

At the first moment that you feel that your pressure is on the floor, we recommend that you consume drinks containing electrolytes (common among athletes), as they contain minerals such as magnesium, sodium, and potassium.

4. Almonds

Almonds act in a similar way to raisins.

You can eat them raw or make almond milk (or buy it).

A home-made recipe for hypotension can be made with cows milk and has good results.

Ingredients.

5 almonds, 1 cup of water (250 ml), 1 cup of milk (250 ml).

Preparation.

Soak the almonds in the cup of water overnight.

The next morning, remove the water and remove the skin from the almonds.

Crush them with a pestle and mortar and mix them with the milk (hot).

Drink it on an empty stomach several times a week.

5. Legumes and cereals

Add different foods that are rich in vitamin B to your diet such as legumes (lentils, chickpeas, beans, beans) and cereals (brown rice, oats, millet, rye).

A vitamin B deficiency can cause low pressure.

6. Carrot juice

A glass of carrot juice per day gives you many vitamins and proteins and also regulates blood pressure.

It's better to drink it on an empty stomach.

Ingredients. 2 carrots, 2 tbsps.

of honey (50 g), ½ cup of water (125 ml).

Preparation.

Peel the carrots and grate them.

Put them in a blender with the honey and water.

Process for a few minutes and drink straight away (you can add ice cubes).

So Much for a Civil GOP Primary for Governor - Duration: 26:46.

>>> SO MUCH FOR CIVIL GOP

PRIMARY FOR GOVERNOR.

>>> JOINING US ON "COLUMBUS ON

THE RECORD," ANN FISHER, HOST OF

"ALL SIDES WITH ANN FISHER," JIM

SIEGEL, STATE HOUSE REPORTER FOR

""THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH,"" MIKE

GONIDAKIS, REPUBLICAN

STRATEGIST, AND SANDY THEIS,

DIRECTOR OF PROGRESS OHIO.

THE REPUBLICAN RACE FOR GOVERNOR

HAS TAKEN A NASTY TURN.

A VERY SHARP, VERY NASTY TURN.

MARY TAYLOR HAS BEEN GOING HARD

AFTER MIKE DeWINE SINCE THE

START OF THE CAMPAIGN SUGGESTING

HE'S TOO OLD, TOO LIBERAL, AND

NOW DOES HE LIKE DISCO.

>> IN 1976 THE BIG RED MACHINE

WON ITS SECOND CONSECUTIVE WORLD

SERIES.

DISCO WAS SWEEPING THE NATION

AND THE CARTER MALAISE WAS

BEGINNING.

1976 WAS THE YEAR MIKE DeWINE

WON HIS FIRST ELECTION, FROM

PROSECUTOR TO STATE SENATOR TO

CONGRESSMAN, LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

TO U.S. SENATOR TO ATTORNEY

GENERAL.

MIKE DeWINE HAS BEEN ON A

GOVERNMENT PAYROLL FOR THE

BETTER PART OF 42 YEARS.

>> THAT AD WAS AN INTERNET AD

AND THEN TAYLOR'S PAC STARTED

RUNNING AN AD ON TV SAYING

DeWINE SUPPORTS HILLARY CLINTON

MORE THAN PRESIDENT TRUMP.

DeWINE LARGELY HAS IGNORED MARY

TAYLOR TO THIS POINT.

WELL, HE'S IGNORING HER NO MORE.

>> MARY TAYLOR READY TO BE

GOVERNOR?

TAYLOR CAN'T KEEP HER STAFF,

RAISING QUESTIONS ABOUT HER

LEADERSHIP AND OVERSIGHT.

SHE WAS BUSTED USING THE STATE

AIRPLANE FOR PERSONAL USE.

AND SHE SKIPS OUT ON WORK.

A SLACKER WHOSE WORK SCHEDULE IS

ALMOST UNTRACEABLE.

MARY TAYLOR, UNFIT AND

UNQUALIFIED.

MIKE DeWINE IS A PROVEN

CONSERVATIVE.

ENDORSED BY THE OHIO REPUBLICAN

PARTY AND OHIO RIGHT TO LIFE.

MIKE DeWINE FOR GOVERNOR.

>> IF CALLING HER A SLACKER WAS

NOT ENOUGH, DeWINE CAMPAIGN HAS

ALSO SET UP A TWITTER ACCOUNT

CALLING MARY TAYLOR UNFIT,

UNQUALIFIED WITH PICTURES OF HER

YELLING AND SITTING ON A JET

SKI.

ONE TWEET CRITICIZED HER USE OF

A STATE PLANE, CALLING IT

CRIMINAL AND USED

THE #LOCKHERUP.

JIM SIEGEL, MIKE DeWINE HAS GONE

FULL MIKE FLYNN.

WHY HAS HE GONE SO NEGATIVE?

>> YOU KNOW, THERE'S A LOT OF

THEORIES AS TO WHY THEY'RE DOING

THIS.

I MEAN, THE SIMPLEST ONE IS THAT

MARY TAYLOR'S PAC SPENT $700,000

ON AN ATTACK AD AGAINST HIM,

SAYING THAT HE -- YOU KNOW,

ATTACKING HIM ON IMMIGRATION AND

CHINA AND BASICALLY SAYING IF

YOU LIKE TRUMP, YOU WON'T LIKE

MIKE DeWINE.

SO, THEY'RE SIMPLY RESPONDING IN

KIND.

NOT LETTING THESE THINGS GO

UNCHALLENGED.

THERE'S OTHER RUMORS -- THEORIES

ABOUT WHAT DO THE POLLS REALLY

LOOK LIKE?

MY THOUGHT, THERE ALSO COULD

JUST BE THE FACT THAT, LOOK,

MARY TAYLOR HAS SAID A LOT OF

NASTY THINGS ABOUT NOT JUST

DeWINE BUT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

IN GENERAL.

THEY'RE READY TO PUNCH BACK AND

NOT STAND HERE AND TAKE IT.

THE DeWINE CAMPAIGN HAS SO MUCH

SPENDING THAT SPENDING $500,000,

$1 MILLION OR WHATEVER TO BEAT

UP MARY TAYLOR IN THE PRIMARY

WON'T HAVE ANY IMPACT ON WHETHER

THEY CAN WIN FOR NOVEMBER.

>> IT'S NOT A GOOD LOOK FOR THE

REPUBLICAN PARTY.

>> IT'S NOT THE BEST WEEK WE'VE

HAD IN POLITICS.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MARY TAYLOR.

THEY PUT OUT STUFF THAT DeWINE

WASN'T AT THE REPUBLICAN

NATIONAL CONVENTION.

I HAVE PICTURES OF US ON THE

FLOOR OF THE CONVENTION.

SHE'S DESPERATE.

SHE'S THROWING EVERYTHING AT THE

WALL SHE CAN.

EVERY COUNTY HAS ENDORSED MIKE.

ELECTED OFFICIALS UNENDORSING

MARY RIGHT NOW.

I LIKE MARY TAYLOR STILL.

I KNOW THIS IS POLITICS AT IT'S

BEST, I GUESS.

I WOULD TELL MIKE, DON'T PUNCH

DOWN.

DON'T STOOP TO THAT LEVEL.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE.

>> WELL, HE ALREADY HAS STOOPED

TO IS THAT LEVEL.

I DON'T KNOW.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT.

ANYONE THAT IS AS SECURE LOOKING

AS HE WOULD BE, WHERE IS ALL OF

THAT ENDORSEMENT, ALL OF THAT

MONEY, IT'S A SURPRISE HE'S

PUNCHING BACK.

I'D LOVE TO SEE IF THEY HAVE ANY

INTERNAL POLLING THEY'RE LOOKING

AT.

SOMETHING TO MEASURE AND TO

BETTER UNDERSTAND THIS.

>> SANDY, JOHN KASICH WON IN

2010, SAID THEY KNEW THEY HAD

TED STRICKLAND WHEN STRICKLAND

WENT NEGATIVE RIGHT AWAY.

NEGATIVE CAMPAIGNING IS PART OF

ANY CAMPAIGN BUT MIKE DeWINE IS

SEEN AS A NICE GUY, A LOT OF

KIDS, GREAT KIDS.

HAS A BARBECUE WITH HIS WIFE.

NOW HE'S NEGATIVE, NASTY ADS.

>> I THINK IT'S CLOSER THAN IT

LOOKS.

THIS IS A CHANGE YEAR.

WE HAVE A GUY WHO'S BEEN ON THE

BALLOT IN ONE WAYS OR ANOTHER

FOR ALMOST HALF A CENTURY AND WE

HAVE A WOMAN ON THE BALLOT IN

THE YEAR OF THE WOMAN.

AND I THINK HE'S CLEARLY NERVOUS

ABOUT THAT.

>> DOES IT HAVE A BLOWBACK WITH

MODERATES, JIM, IN THE GENERAL,

ASSUMING THAT DeWINE HOLDS THIS

BIG LEAD AND ADVANCES TO THE

GENERAL?

>> I'M NOT SURE.

I MEAN, I NEVER QUITE SURE HOW

PRIMARY -- HOW TOUGH PRIMARY

FIGHTS ARE GOING TO END UP

BLEEDING OVER INTO A GENERAL

ELECTION, ESPECIALLY WHEN, YOU

KNOW, IN MAY WE'RE GOING TO VOTE

AND THEN WE'RE NOT GOING BACK TO

THE BALLOT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.

WHO KNOWS AT THAT POINT.

YOU TALK ABOUT MIKE DeWINE AS

THE NICE, GRANDFATHERLY TYPE

FIGURE.

HE'S A THROWS ELBOWS POLITICIAN.

THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME

DeWINE HAS MIXED IT UP BIG TIME

WITH HIS OPPONENT.

LOOK, I'M NOT CRITICIZING.

THAT'S FINE.

BUT THAT'S JUST -- YOU KNOW,

IT'S NOT ALL, YOU KNOW, ICE

CREAM SOCIALS AND GRANDCHILDREN

WHEN IT COMES TIME TO GET IN THE

POLITICAL ARENA.

>> CRITICIZED JOHN GLENN, I SAW

ON TWITTER TODAY.

WHAT ON EARTH HAS JOHN GLENDON,

A PLAY ON WORDS.

>> HE GOT A LOT OF BLOWBACK.

IT HURT HIM AT THE TIME.

>> THE ENERGIZER BUNNY AND THE

BUNNY IN AN ASTRONAUT UNIFORM.

HE KEEPS OWING AND OWING BECAUSE

OF THE MONEY JOHN GLENN OWED.

THAT BLEW UP IN HIS FACE.

>> ULTIMATELY THE CANDIDATE IS

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CAMPAIGN,

BUT COULD THERE BE

OVERENTHUSIASTIC CAMPAIGN AIDES

BEHIND THIS WHO ARE, PERHAPS,

TAKING IT A LITTLE MORE

PERSONAL, MIKE, AND THEY GET A

LITTLE, YOU KNOW, OVERZEALOUS

AND THAT HURTS THE CANDIDATE IN

THE LONG RUN?

>> I'M SURE THE CAMPAIGN STAFF

HAD A LONG TALK WITH THE BOSS

THIS WEEK ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE

GOING TO DO ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND

WHERE THEY SHOULD STAY.

I THINK THERE WERE SOME MISTAKES

MADE BY SOME CAMPAIGN STAFFERS

ALONG THE WAY.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT'S MIKE

DeWINE, IT'S HIS NAME AND HE HAS

TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT.

>> IT WAS INTERESTING WHEN THE

TWITTER ACCOUNT FROM DeWINE'S

ACCOUNT CALLED HER CRIMINAL.

THAT'S INTERESTING IN THAT

COMING FROM THE MAN WHO IS THE

CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OF

THE STATE, IF IT WAS REALLY

CRIMINAL, I THINK HE COULD HAVE

DONE SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

CONSIDERING SHE'S STILL AN

ELECTED OFFICEHOLDER IN THE

ADMINISTRATION OF GOVERNOR

KASICH AND DOES KASICH THINK IT

WAS -- KASICH DIDN'T LIKE IT.

ASKED HER TO REPAY THE MONEY FOR

THE AIRPLANE RIDE WE'RE TALKING

ABOUT IN THE AD.

GOING TO THE STEP OF CALLING IT

CRIMINAL AND USING THE LOCK HER

UP SLOGAN, THAT WAS A STEP

FURTHER THAN I THINK SOME OF

THIS OTHER STUFF HAS BEEN.

>> DO YOU SEE THE TWO

CANDIDATES, DO YOU SEE THEM

DEBATING?

MIKE DeWINE HAS NOT BEEN WILLING

POINT.

>> WELL, THAT WILL BE THE TRUE

TELL, BECAUSE IF HE DOESN'T

DEBATE HER, YOU KNOW HE'S DOING

WELL AND THE POLLS ARE IN HIS

FAVOR, WHATEVER THEY'RE LOOKING

AT.

IF HE DOES DEBATE HER, YOU KNOW

THERE WAS MORE TO THIS PUSHBACK

THAN JUST GETTING SICK AND TIRED

OF HAVING MARY TAYLOR KICK THEIR

BUTT.

>> THAT DISCO AD WAS PRETTY

GOOD.

IT WAS PRETTY GOOD.

>> BROUGHT UP A LOT OF MEMORIES.

>> IT'S A LEGITIMATE POINT SHE'S

MAKING WHEN IT COMES TO HIS TIME

IN OFFICE.

YOU KNOW, MANY HAVE DONE IT

BEFORE.

>> FOND MEMORIES.

FOND MEMORIES OF THE AMC GREMLIN

THAT AD BROUGHT BACK.

JOHN KASICH TRAVELED TO

CALIFORNIA THIS WEEK WHERE HE

PREACHED HIS COMMON SENSE

CONSERVATIVE MESSAGE TO MODERATE

REPUBLICANS HOSTED BY FORMER

CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR ARNOLD

SCHWARZENEGGER.

KASICH TALKED ABOUT HOW HE'S

BRINGING OHIOANS TOGETHER.

>> NOW, ARNOLD, WE'RE TALKING TO

THE LEGISLATURE ABOUT GUNS.

AND WE GOT THE PEOPLE IN FAVOR

OF THE NO CHANGE IN THE SECOND

AMENDMENT WITH THOSE WHO WANT A

CHANGE AND WE REACHED A

CONSENSUS.

>> GOVERNOR FAILED TO MENTION

PREVIOUSLY HE SIGNED BILLS THAT

ALLOWED PEOPLE TO CARRY

CONCEALED GUNS IN BARS AND DAY

CARE CENTERS.

HIS MESSAGE, ANN, WAS WELL

RECEIVED AMONG THIS GROUP OF

MODERATES.

WAS THE SAME SPEECH HE GAVE AT

THE STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS,

MINUS THE PHILOSOPHY.

HOW DO YOU THINK IT PLAYS OUT

THERE?

>> IT PLAYS LIKE YOU WOULD

EXPECT IT TO PLAY.

I MEAN, IT WAS -- HE WAS, YOU

KNOW, LOOKING IN A MIRROR.

HE WAS PREACHING TO THE CHOIR.

PROBABLY A WAY TO RAISE MONEY

AND THAT SORT OF A THING.

YOU KNOW, HE'S SHOWING PEOPLE

WHAT HE'S MADE OF.

I DON'T THINK IT REALLY MAKES

THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE BIG

PICTURE AT ALL.

>> MIKE, HE SOUNDED LIKE A

DEMOCRAT AT TIMES IN THAT

SPEECH.

>> YOU KNOW, WE HAVE A GREAT

GOVERNOR.

YOU KNOW, TWO-TERM ELECTED.

HE'S GOT EIGHT MONTHS LEFT.

COME BACK TO OHIO.

WE HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS.

YOU KNOW, WE NEED HIM HERE.

WE DON'T -- AFTER EIGHT MONTHS

FROM THERE, HE CAN DO WHATEVER

HE WANTS.

BUT I THINK HIS LAST EIGHT

MONTHS SHOULD BE SPENT IN OHIO

TACKLING OPIOID ISSUES AND OTHER

THINGS AT OUR FAMILY TABLE

ISSUES.

>> THAT'S CRAZY.

THAT'S WHAT WE ELECTED HIM TO

DO.

>> WHY IS IT CRAZY?

>> IT'S OBVIOUS HE HASN'T BEEN

INTERESTED IN THAT FOR TWO YEARS

WHEN HE WAS RUNNING FOR

PRESIDENT.

I DIDN'T HEAR YOU SAY THAT THEN.

>> HE SHOULD COME BACK.

>> GOING TO NEW HAMPSHIRE IN

EARLY APRIL.

HE SAID HE HATES POLITICS, WHICH

I FIND ODD FOR SOMEONE WHO WORKS

IN THE POLITICAL WORLD, BUT HE

WANTS POLICY.

HE DOES TALK A LOT ABOUT POLICY

IN THESE SPEECHES.

HOW MUCH TRUTH IS IT THAT HE

HATES TALKING POLITICS, HE HATES

BEING A POLITICIAN?

>> HE HATES LOSING WHEN HE

DOESN'T GET WHAT HE WANTS.

IF THAT'S WHAT HE MEANS BY --

LOOK, YOU HAVE TO -- YOU HAVE TO

HAVE POLITICS TO GET TO POLICY.

THAT'S JUST THE REALITY.

NOW, I UNDERSTAND HE DOESN'T

LIKE THE POLITICS FOR THE SAKE

OF POLITICS.

NOW, THAT, YOU KNOW, IF THERE'S

NO MEANS TO AN END, I GET THE

FRUSTRATION THERE.

LIKE YOU SAID, HE JUST TALKED

ABOUT THAT GUN PROPOSAL, YOU

KNOW, WE'RE TALKING TO THE

LEGISLATURE.

HE DIDN'T SAY, WE'VE INTRODUCED

LEGISLATION, BECAUSE THAT HASN'T

HAPPENED.

TALKING TO THE LEGISLATIVE

LEADERS AGAIN THIS WEEK, THEY'RE

NOT YET GIVING ANY OCCASION IN

WHAT IS AN ELECTION YEAR THEY'RE

GOING TO ROLL ANY PROPOSAL OUT,

EVEN THOUGH MANY SEEMED TO BE

FAIRLY POPULAR.

THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL THE

LOW-HANGING FRUIT ON THE GUN

DEBATE.

THE THINGS HE'S TALKED ABOUT,

BUMP STOCKS AND THINGS LIKE

THAT.

>> HIS TRIPS TO CALIFORNIA CAME

OUT AS A NEW POLL CAME OUT FROM

BALDWIN WALLACE UNIVERSITY THAT

SHOWS IF THE PRESIDENTIAL

PRIMARY WERE HELD TODAY, DONALD

TRUMP WOULD EASILY BEAT JOHN

KASICH, 62% TO 27%.

SANDY, DO YOU BELIEVE THAT?

THIS IS AMONG OHIO REPUBLICANS,

JUST AMONG OHIO REPUBLICANS.

>> I DO.

BUT THE REASON HE'S NOT HERE

WORKING WITH THE LEGISLATURE IS

BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE HIM

EITHER.

HE GOES OUT TO PLACES WHERE HE

CAN ACT LIKE A MODERATE, LIKE

CALIFORNIA.

HE CAN GET SOME AFFIRMATION FROM

PEOPLE WHO THINK HE'S A

MODERATE, EVEN THOUGH HE'S NOT.

>> YOU KNOW, I THINK WHEN HE RAN

IN THE PRIMARY AGAINST DONALD

TRUMP AND HE WON THE OHIO

PRIMARY, THE ONLY ONE HE WON, IT

WAS BECAUSE IT WAS HOMETOWN GUY

AND THEY WERE VOTING FOR THEIR

GUY.

NOW, SO MANY OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE

TICKED OFF BECAUSE HE HAS NOT

FALLEN IN STEP WITH THE

PRESIDENT.

AND HE HAS BEEN HIS BY THE WAY

BIGGEST CRITIC, BEFORE AND EVER

SINCE INAUGURATION DAY.

I THINK THAT'S WHY THEY'VE BEEN

SO MUCH FALLOUT.

>> MIKE, YOU SUPPORT PRESIDENT

TRUMP, DO YOU BELIEVE THAT

NUMBER?

>> I DO.

LOOK, WHETHER IT'S A DEMOCRATIC

PRESIDENT OR REPUBLICAN

PRESIDENT, THE RANK AND FILE ARE

GOING TO SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT

OVER THE GOVERNOR, OVER A

SENATOR, OR ANYONE ELSE.

I THINK THAT NUMBER'S SOLID.

>> DOES IT SAY ANYTHING -- DOES

THAT NUMBER HELP -- DOES THAT

HELP MARY TAYLOR?

SHE'S REALLY TIED HERSELF TO

PRESIDENT TRUMP.

WE TALKED ABOUT THE NEGATIVE AD,

WHY SHE'S DOING IT.

>> NO, IT DOESN'T HELP.

I'M SORRY.

IT DOESN'T HELP MARY BECAUSE

JUST YESTERDAY BOB PADUCHIK CAME

OUT WITH A STINGING REVIEW OF

MARY AND CAME OUT ENDORSING

DeWINE, SPEAKING IN SUPPORT OF

MIKE DeWINE.

>> THAT'S JUST TELLING ME

THEY'RE SEEING SOME NUMBERS THAT

SHOW HER DOING BETTER AND HE'S

COMING OUT WITH A STINGING.

WHY STINGING, WHY NOW?

>> THERE HAS TO BE A DIFFERENCE

BETWEEN THE CAMPAIGN OFFICIALS

AND RANK AND FILE REPUBLICANS

IN --

>> ABSOLUTELY.

I'M TELLING YOU, THIS IS A

CHANGE YEAR AND MARY'S THE

CHANGE.

>> EVEN THOUGH SHE'S BEEN IN

OFFICE --

>> BUT SHE HASN'T BEEN FOR 50

YEARS.

>> FRUSTRATED BY THE LACK OF

ACTION AT THE STATE HOUSE AND

WASHINGTON, COLUMBUS OFFICIALS

THIS WEEK PRESENTED A SERIES OF

GUN CONTROL MEASURES.

AMONG THE PROPOSALS THE CITY

WOULD BAN BUMP STOCKS, IT WOULD

BAN THE SALE OF IMITATION

FIREARMS TO MINORS, BAN

COMMERCIAL GUN SALES IN

RESIDENTIAL AREAS.

THIS IS REALLY ALL THE CITY CAN

DO BECAUSE STATE LAW PROHIBITS

CITIES FROM ENFORING GUN LAWS

STRICTER THAN STATE LAWS.

DO THESE ORDINANCES HAVE ANY

TEETH OR LARGELY SYMBOLIC?

>> I THINK THEY DO HAVE TEETH.

THE STATE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW

CITIES TO DO LAWS MORE STRINGENT

THAN STATE OR FEDERAL LAWS SO

THEY HAVE TO FIND AREAS THEY CAN

HONE IN.

I THINK WE'LL SEE MEANINGFUL GUN

REFORM.

THESE KIDS IN FLORIDA WHO

BROUGHT THEIR ENERGY AND PAIN TO

THE TABLE ARE GOING TO CHANGE

THE WORLD.

AND I THINK SO NOT ONLY ARE WE

GOING ON TO SEE THIS ORDINANCE

IN COLUMBUS, BUT I THINK WE'LL

SEE SOME MOVEMENT IN THE GENERAL

ASSEMBLY.

YOU MENTIONED PAUL BALDWIN

WALLACE ALWAYS LOOKED IN THE

STATE AS MUCH AS GUN REFORM.

THERE ARE ARE A LOT OF THINGS

THAT ARE MEANINGFUL.

>> WHY CAN'T CITIES PASS THEIR

OWN GUN LAWS?

WHAT WAS THE REASON -- ASIDE

FROM THE STATE BEING VERY IN

FAVOR OF GUN OWNER RIGHTS, WHY

CAN'T CITIES DO THEIR OWN

ORDINANCES ON GUNS?

>> THE ARGUMENT IS IF YOU'RE A

GUN OWNER, YOU DON'T WANT TO

HAVE TO FOLLOW DIFFERENT LAWS AS

YOU'RE PASSING THROUGH EACH CITY

AND TOWN IN THE STATE OF OHIO.

IF I CAN CARRY A GUN IN A PARK

IN AKRON, I SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE

TO CARRY A GUN IN THE PARK IN

COLUMBUS.

SO THE ARGUMENT WAS TO MAKE IT

ALL UNIFORM, STANDARD FOR GUN

CONTROL AND FOR GUN RIGHTS.

AND THAT HAS BEEN WHAT'S CARRIED

THE DAY IN THE LEGISLATURE.

OF COURSE, THE THING I SAID

OVERLY MANY YEARS OF KORING THE

STATE HOUSE, AS ALWAYS THE STATE

LEGISLATURE IS IN FAVOR OF LOCAL

CONTROL UNTIL THEY'RE NOT.

IN THIS ONE THEY'RE NOT.

THEY DON'T THINK LOCALS SHOULD

BE MAKING THEIR OWN GUN LAWS.

FRANKLY, I LOOK DOWN THIS LIST

OF COLUMBUS ONES, THERE ARE --

EXCEPT FOR MAYBE BANNING BUMP

STOCKS, THERE'S NOT A WHOLE LOT

HERE DIRECTLY TIED TO GUNS THAT

IT WOULD PROBABLY WOULDN'T STEP

ON MUCH OF THIS.

WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT

THE COURT SAYS ON THIS.

>> ONE THING IT WOULD DO IS KEEP

GUNS OUT OF THE HANDS OF SOMEONE

WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR

PROTECTION ORDER.

GUNS ARE USED A LOT IN THOSE

TYPE OF CASES.

I THINK THAT WOULD BE MEANINGFUL

CHANGE.

>> AS YOU LOOK AT THE MAP OF

COLUMBUS, YOU CAN SEE, I MEAN,

WITH ALL THE TOWNSHIPS IT WOULD

BE IMPOSSIBLE TO DRIVE FROM ONE

END OF THE OTHER WITH A GUN IN

YOUR TRUNK WITHOUT HAVING TO

VIOLATE THE VARYING LAWS.

YOU CAN SEE WHY THE UNIFORMITY.

THE RALLY IS TOMORROW.

THEY'RE EXPECTING ESTIMATES

ESTIMATES BETWEEN 5,000 AND

25,000 AT THE STATE HOUSE.

THIS IS THE RALLY FOR GUN RIGHTS

INSPIRED BY THE STUDENTS.

WHAT KIND OF EFFECT --

>> RALLY FOR GUN RESTRICTIONS.

>> YEAH.

>> YES.

>> WHAT KIND OF IMPACT WILL THAT

HAVE ON THE LEGISLATURE?

>> I DON'T THINK IT WILL HAVE

ANY IMPACT.

THEY MAY HAVE SOME MEANINGFUL

MOVEMENT BUT I DON'T ANTICIPATE

IT PERSONALLY.

I DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO BE

ANYTHING VERY SUBSTANTIVE.

NOT IN OHIO.

WE SAW WHAT HAPPENED IN FLORIDA.

BUT THAT WAS A STATE WHERE THE

TRAGEDY OCCURRED.

AND I THINK FOR OHIO LAWMAKERS

TO TAKE THAT KIND OF STEP, IT

WOULD TAKE THAT SORT OF THING.

IT WILL BE INTERESTING, THOUGH,

BECAUSE THESE KIDS ARE COMING

FROM ALL OVER THE PLACE.

THEY'RE NOT JUST COMING FROM

DEMOCRATIC DISTRICTS.

AND I'LL BE INTERESTED TO SEE

HOW MANY PARENTS ARE THERE AS

WELL.

>> MIKE, THIS IS A LITTLE

DIFFERENT THAN PAST AFTERMATHS

OF MASS SHOOTINGS.

DO YOU SEE ANY MOVEMENT FROM GUN

RIGHTS -- GUN RIGHT SUPPORTING

LAWMAKERS AT THE STATE HOUSE?

>> NO.

I THINK THERE'S BEEN SOME

PROPOSALS TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE A

SECURITY GUARD IN SCHOOLS.

THAT CAN BE LOCAL CONTROL.

I THINK WE'LL GIVE MONEY TO

SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO PASS SAFETY

LEVIES.

THAT'S A GOOD THING.

THEY'RE PICKING THE WRONG TIME

TO DO THIS MARCH TO SAVE LIVES,

BECAUSE THEY'RE PICKING A

SATURDAY.

LEGISLATURE WOULDN'T BE THERE.

THEY JUST WENT ON SPRING BREAK

SO THEIR VOICES WILL BE HEARD BY

THE MEDIA.

THAT'S GOOD.

COVER FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY.

I SUPPORT IT BUT THEY PICKED THE

WRONG DAY, WRONG TIME TO DO IT.

>> WE SAID WASHINGTON.

OHIO IS JUST FOLLOWING SUIT.

>> A COUPLE MONTHS AGO THERE

WERE SOME GUN RESTRICTION LAW

THAT WAS PASSED -- OR IN THE

GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

I SAW ON FACEBOOK THERE WAS ONE

LEGISLATOR IN THE HEARING AND

PEOPLE STARTED COMPLAINING.

I WENT OVER WITH MY PHONE TO

TAKE PICTURES.

I GOT KICKED OUT OF THE HEARING

BUT NOBODY WAS LISTENING TO HIM.

NOW AT LEAST THEY'RE LISTENING.

THAT'S A BIG CHANGE.

THE PARENTS IN THE AUDIENCE

THEIR KIDS WERE EITHER KILLED IN

GUN VIOLENCE OR SHOT AND INJURED

AND THEY COME HERE TO PETITION

THEIR GOVERNMENT, NO ONE'S EVEN

LISTENING?

>> I'LL TELL YOU, THE STATE

HOUSE RALLIES ARE FINE.

IT'S GOOD TO SHOW IF YOU'RE

PUSHING THAT SIDE OF THINGS,

IT'S GOOD TO SHOW THERE IS

SUPPORT BEHIND YOU, BUT UNTIL

THE MAJORITY STARTS TO SEE

POLLING THAT SHOWS US, THIS IS

AN ISSUE THAT'S GOING TO TURN

PEOPLE, AND -- OR THEY START

HEARING FROM THEIR MAJOR DONORS

THIS IS AN ISSUE THEIR DONORS

WANT TO SEE CHANGED, THEN, YOU

KNOW, THERE'S GOING TO BE

LIMITED ACTION.

>> SOME LAWMAKERS HAVE

INTRODUCESED A BILL TO BAN

ABORTIONS COMPLETELY.

DOCTORS COULD FACE CHARGES, THE

WOMAN COULD FACE CHARGES.

THE BILL GOES WELL BEYOND

RESTRICTIONS PASSED BY LAWMAKERS

IN RECENT YEARS.

MIKE GONIDAKIS, YOU HEAD OHIO

RIGHT TO LIFE.

DO YOU SUPPORT THIS MEASURE?

>> FIRST OF ALL, I BELIEVE ALL

LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION.

I WORKED FOR THE PAST DECADE TO

ELIMINATE ABORTION AND END THIS

TRAGEDY IN THIS COUNTRY.

THIS LEGISLATION IS 284 PAGES.

WE GOT IT THREE DAYS AGO, THE

SAME SOMETIME YOU GOT IT, OR

YOUR PAPER RECEIVED IT.

WE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

WE'RE STILL REVIEWING IT.

WE'RE STILL LOOKING SIDEWAYS

BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

I'VE HAD 15 STATE

REPRESENTATIVES CALL ME AND SAY,

DO YOU THINK IT SAYS THIS OR

THAT?

I SAY, I DON'T KNOW.

YOU WROTE IT.

TO SAY WE SUPPORT IT BECAUSE

IT'S WRITTEN IN SUCH A UNIQUE --

WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.

THERE ARE SMART LAWYERS OUT

THERE THAT SAY IT COULD

CRIMINALIZE A WOMAN IF SHE HAS A

MISCARRIAGE.

WE DON'T WANT THAT, OF COURSE

NOT.

THERE APPEARS TO BE A LOT OF

PROBLEMS WITH IT BUT GIVE US

TIME TO REVIEW IT.

>> ON PRINCIPLE YOU DID NOT

SUPPORT THE HEART BEAT BILL.

THIS GOES BEYOND THAT, EEB

THOUGH ULTIMATELY MANY PEOPLE

SAY THE HEART BEAT BILL WAS A

COMPLETE BAN ON ABORTION.

LOGIC SAYS YOU'RE NOT GOING TO

SUPPORT A COMPLETE BAN IF --

>> YOU NEED FIVE VOTES, RIGHT

NOW WE ONLY HAVE FOUR ON THE

UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT.

IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

>> IS THIS SYMBOLIC --

>> I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S ON

THEIR MIND.

IT'S UNCONSTITUTIONAL, IT'S

MEAN, IT'S NOT GOING TO GO

ANYWHERE.

IT'S A WASTE OF OUR TIME.

>> GOVERNOR KASICH VETOED THE

HEART BEAT BILL.

COULD THE SAME THING HAPPEN WITH

THIS BILL?

>> IT'S POSSIBLE.

WHEN IT COMES TO ISSUES -- THERE

ARE TWO ISSUES I DON'T TEND TO

PREDICT TOO WELL -- GUNS AND

ABORTION.

AT ANY POINT, THEY COULD

SUDDENLY DECIDE, YOU KNOW, WE

NEED TO -- WE'RE GOING TO PICK

THIS UP AND RUN WITH IT FOR ANY

NUMBER OF REASONS.

AND -- BUT, YOU KNOW, LIKE YOU

SAID, I MEAN, THEY PASS THE THE

DOWN SYNDROME ABORTION BILL.

A JUDGE STOPPED THAT.

IT'S GOING TO GET APPEALED.

SO LIKE MIKE SAID, THE COURTS

HAVE RULED ON THIS AND THERE'S

NO OCCASION THAT THAT WOULD

CHANGE.

I DON'T KNOW IF THEY REALLY WANT

TO RUN A BILL AT THIS POINT, UP

TO THE SUPREME COURT AND TRY

THIS.

THAT'S A QUESTION MORE FOR MIKE.

IF THAT'S A GOOD STRATEGY OR

NOT.

>> IT'S NOT.

>> BUT THE OTHER BILLS, YOU DO

SUPPORT DOWN SYNDROME EVEN

THOUGH THE COURTS STRUCK THAT

DOWN.

WHY IS THAT ONE DIFFERENT THAN

THIS ONE?

ULTIMATELY YOU WANT ABORTION TO

BE ILLEGAL.

>> IT'S AN ANTI-DISCRIMINATION

BILL.

80 TO 90% OF BABIES WITH DOWN

SYNDROME ARE ABORTED.

THAT'S A TRAGEDY.

OUR GOAL IS TO END ABORTION IN

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

>> ALL RIGHT.

LET'S GET TO OUR NEXT TOPIC.

IF YOU ADD A LIGHTER TOPIC, IF

YOU ADD UP ALL THE TEAM VALUES,

THE CLEVELAND BROWNS, CAVALIERS

AND INDIANS, THE CINCINNATI

BENGALS, REDS AND THE SOCCER

TEAM, WHICH LACKS A NAME, AND

THE COLUMBUS CLIPPERS AND BLUE

JACKETS, THE TOTAL VALUE OF ALL

THOSE TEAMS JUST LESS THAN $7

BILLION.

THEY PLAY IN PLACES PAID FOR IN

PART OR IN FULL BY TAXPAYERS.

STILL, THEY WANT THE STATE TO

INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY,

PUBLIC MONEY AVAILABLE TO

ATTRACT BIG SPORTING EVENTS TO

THE STATE.

THINGS LIKE ALL-STAR GAMES AND

THE NFL DRAFT, EVENTS THAT DO

BRING IN A LOT OF MONEY TO THE

STATE IN TERMS OF TOURISM

DOLLARS AND SALES TAXES.

JIM SIEGEL, WHY DO THEY NEED

WORTH SO MUCH MONEY?

>> THE TEAMS SAY THIS IS NOT

ABOUT THEIR MONEY.

THIS IS ABOUT MONEY TO HELP THE

THE TEAMS SAY THEY DON'T MAKE

MONEY ON THESE.

THIS IS A COMMUNITY OUTREACH

THEY LIKE BUT AT THE END OF THE

DAY IT'S NOT SO MUCH A REVENUE

AS JUST GOODWILL, GOOD PR AND A

BENEFIT FOR THE AREA.

THAT'S WHERE THEY'RE COME FROM.

THERE'S SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW

THIS BILL WOULD WORK BECAUSE IT

HAS TO DO WITH HOW MUCH

ADDITIONAL SALES TAX WILL BE

BENEFITTED AND WE TAKE HALF OF

THAT AND PUT IT IN THE FUND.

THE QUESTION OF HOW DO YOU

DETERMINE HOW MUCH SALES TAX IS

BECAUSE OF THE EVENT AND HOW

MUCH SALES TAX IS JUST BECAUSE

OF STUFF THAT WOULD HAVE

HAPPENED ANYWAY.

THERE'S A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT

IT.

>> WE HAVE ONE OF THE WORST

BECAUSE GETTING COLLEGE OR

IMPORTANT.

WHY DON'T WE FOCUS ON STUFF LIKE

THAT INSTEAD OF GIVING MONEY TO

THE SPORTS TEAM?

>> YOU GOING TO THE CAVS GAME

AFTER YOU LEAVE THE STUDIO?

>> YEAH, BUT GIVE ME A BREAK.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA IF THE

LEGISLATURE PASSES THIS.

WE DIDN'T EVEN MENTION HOLLYWOOD

HAS COME IN.

THEY GET $40 MILLION A YEAR IN

TAX BREAKS.

THEY WANT TO INCREASE THAT TO

$100 MILLION.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

THESE ARE TERRIBLE IDEAS.

>> AS SOON AS I CAN FIND OUT HOW

MUCH THAT PRIVATE GROUP THAT

TAKES LIQUOR PROFITS FROM THE

STATE OF OHIO AND SPENDS IT ON

GENERATING JOBS IN OHIO, JOBS

OHIO, SO I CAN FIND OUT MORE

ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE SPENDING

MONEY ON, I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY

OF THIS.

>> I FIND IT ODD THAT THE

CINCINNATI REDS SAID THEY DIDN'T

HAVE ACCESS TO THE MONEY WHEN

THEY WANTED TO BRING THE

ALL-STAR GAME HERE IN 2015 AND

THE BLUE JACKETS SAID THEY

DIDN'T HAVE ANY MONEY TO BRING

THE ALL-STAR GAME IN 2015.

BOTH THOSE EVENTS OCCURRED IN

THOSE CITIES WITHOUT THE STATE'S

HELP.

>> THE ALL-STAR GAME IN

CINCINNATI ENDED UP GETTING

HELP.

>> THAT'S A DIFFERENT -- A

DIFFERENT FUND OR A DIFFERENT

WAY.

>> OKAY.

THE QUESTION IS, COULD WE STILL

DO THESE THINGS WITHOUT THIS

MONEY?

THAT'S A LONG ONGOING DEBATE

THAT WILL CONTINUE.

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT ATTRACTING

THESE BUT A WHOLE BUNCH OF

THINGS.

WOULD WE STILL ATRACK TAX CUTS

AND ALL THESE KIND OF THINGS.

THE BROWNS TESTIFIED IN FAVOR OF

THIS BILL.

IF IT PASSES, THEY CAN CHALK IT

UP AS A WIN.

>> YES, THEY CAN.

WITH THAT WE'LL GET TO MORE "ON

THE RECORD" PARTING SHOTS AND

WE'LL START WITH SANDY THEIS.

>> YOU THINK YOUR VOICE DOESN'T

( US News ) Australian Politician Accused Of Floating Electric Shocks For Tired Drivers - Duration: 5:20.

Australian Politician Accused Of Floating Electric Shocks For Tired Drivers

Claudiad via Getty Images.

An Australian state government minister has come under fire for appearing to suggest that tired or distracted drivers could be given electric shocks to prevent crashes.

It has been a horror week on roads in the state of New South Wales, with three deadly crashes in two days, including a seven-vehicle collision on a rural highway in which two people died and more than a dozen were injured.

Even before those crashes, 19 people had died on the state's roads in just 15 days.

On Wednesday, New South Wales roads minister Melinda Pavey announced extra funding for technology around crash testing, driver assistance and vehicle safety.

In the process, she said that "technology now is so advanced, a driver can be driving and get an electric shock if they look away from the windscreen for more than two seconds." Pavey has been roundly panned for her statement.

"To not only ignore the actual problems that are killing people on our roads, but to also propose electrocuting people driving heavy vehicles, is not only baffling and deeply offensive to the families of those killed, it is also unconscionably dangerous in its negligence," the Transport Workers Union said in a statement.

The union called her comments "heartless, arrogant and completely incompetent." In only 24 hours, five people in NSW have been killed in three truck-related crashes.

Rather than address the extreme and unfair working conditions that are causing truck deaths, NSW Roads Minister @melindapaveyMP has seriously suggested *electrocuting drivers behind the wheel*.

pic.twitter.com/ZGmzJrEAFF — TWU NSW (@TWUNSW) January 17, 2018 Pavey's office told HuffPost her comments had been taken out of context, and that she was speaking generally about how far vehicle safety technology has progressed, not explicitly advocating shocks for drivers.  A spokeswoman for Pavey also pointed out that shock devices for drivers already exist, such as the Steer bracelet, which sends vibrations and shocks to drivers if their heart rate drops, a signal that they may be falling asleep or getting drowsy.

"I am both disgusted and appalled that today of all days the Transport Workers Union would play this kind of politics," Pavey said in a statement to HuffPost.

"I spoke on other forms of technology being looked at in both the private and public sectors – specifically important measures around fatigue management.

New technology for fatigue management are currently in place in Australia and being rolled out across fleets by our most responsible operators, and further research continues to highlight new measures." However, in other comments to the news.com.au website, Pavey appeared far more open to the idea of electric shocks for drivers.

"If a driver is a fluttering their eyes in tiredness or looking away, there are a variety of measures that can alert the driver," she told the site. "That can be through an electronic jab through the seat that gives a slight buzz or a message and some of our best companies are using that technology and investing in their workforce and safety." "If we can't have a decent honest conversation about the technology available, we have some issues," she added.

"It's not the time to put our heads in the sand.

It has been a struggle for some drivers to be monitored.

but many have embraced it because they want to return to their families at the end of the day."    .

5 Foods for Healthier Blood and a Happy Body - Duration: 9:18.

5 Foods for Healthier Blood and a Happy Body

How can you improve the quality of your blood and have healthier blood all around? Lets start with the definition of blood, which is a liquid connective tissue which circulates through capillaries, veins, arteries, atria, and ventricles of all vertebrates.

The red colour is caused by the presence of a haemoglobin pigment contained in erythrocytes.

Its consistency is dense, opaque, and flavoured with metal.

However, the colour can vary: from scarlet, which is a sign of a high oxygen level, to dark red, which low in oxygen.

The average pH of blood is 7.35 to 7.45.

The temperature of blood is 38 °C – slightly higher than body temperature.

What does healthy blood carry?.

Nutrients, Hormones, Antibodies, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Electrolytes, Vitamins, Heat.

Where is it made?.

Blood cells are produced in the bone marrow which is the spongy tissue found inside some bones of the body such as the hip bone, the sternum, or the bones in the skull.

The human body contains approximately 4.5 to 6 litres of blood.

55% of blood is plasma, the liquid part composed of water, mineral salts, and proteins, whilst the remaining 45% is made up of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

How can I begin a healthy diet?.

Eat non-starchy vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and spinach.

It's recommended that you reduce your intake of potatoes, but don't cut them out altogether.

Look for healthy proteins such as lean meats, chicken, turkey, and fish.

Avoid eating red meat, especially, processed meats such as bacon or sausages.

Whole foods are good choices.

Rice, pasta, and wholemeal bread are healthier than white rice because of their fibre content.

AS a result, blood sugar levels rise slowly and give us a feeling of fullness.

Use vegetable oils.

Olive oil or canola oil are good options for seasoning.

On the other hand, avoid using butter because it contains too much saturated fat.

Avoid sugary drinks such as juices, soft drinks, or iced tea.

The best thing to do is to prepare some water with a touch of fruit.

What vitamins and minerals make up the blood?.

Vitamin E: important for the most resistant red blood cells.

Iodine: contributes to the production of red blood cells and platelets.

Vitamin C: stimulates the absorption of iron.

Zinc: involved in the formation of lymphocytes.

Vitamin K: helps the coagulation of the blood.

Cobalt: helps in the production of haemoglobin and red blood cells.

Copper: ensures that iron is available for producing red blood cells.

Iron: essential for the production of haemoglobin, which is responsible for transporting oxygen to cells.

Vitamin B12: helps in red blood cell maturation.

Folic acid: contributes towards the maturation of erythrocytes and leukocytes.

Recommended foods. Liver.

Liver is rich in vitamin A which helps improve the appearance of the skin due to its antioxidant properties.

But it also increases the production of haemoglobin due to its high iron content.

If that weren't enough, it's low in fat and provides folic acid to help sustain correct cell division.

As long as you're not allergic or intolerant to egg, you should always include it in your diet.

It's a great source of proteins, minerals, and vitamins for healthier blood.

In the yolk, in particular, you'll find lecithin which is responsible for cleaning the fat in the arteries.

Additionally, it contains choline which improves the nervous system.

It provides vitamin A, D and E, as well as minerals such as iron, zinc, selenium, phosphorus, and folic acid.

And, all of these are essential for healthier blood and a healthy body.

Vegetables.

These are great for people who don't eat meat, because they help to balance the intake of nutrients because of their high protein content.

But, they also provide carbohydrates, fibres, vitamins from group B, and minerals like iron, magnesium, and potassium.

Although nuts have a high calorie density, they provide important nutrients for the body if they're consumed in moderation.

So, they help you to have healthier blood since they contain healthy fats and omega-3 fatty acids.

Furthermore, they provide a variety of vitamins and minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin E, and vitamin B complex.

Potatoes.

Potatoes work like a fuel the body needs to produce energy.

They're rich in vitamin B, folic acid, and minerals and they also provide flavonoids which protect against cardiovascular diseases and lower bad cholesterol.

For their part, the B vitamins are responsible for protecting the arteries.

In particular, vitamin B6 decreases the levels of homocysteine which is a chemical compound that contributes towards inflammation of the arteries.

So, when are you going to start taking steps toward healthier blood?.

Ask the Vet - Is corn oil good for horses? - Duration: 4:36.

SARAH: "Is corn oil good for horses?

I've seen people put corn oil in their horse's feed.

What are the benefits?"

I am so excited this question got voted to the top,

because at my barn when I was a kid, we used to feed corn oil.

And now I'm glad I don't anymore.

DR LYDIA GRAY: And lots of barns still do.

I mean, I'm not surprised that she's seeing people do this.

It was always sort of the go-to oil.

But now we have lots of not only liquid oils

but solid products, and--

SARAH: Which are a lot less messy.

DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.

So let's go first for the reasons you would feed it.

And I'm going to back up and say why would you

feed fat in general, not just the corn oil.

You feed fat for calories, for energy.

So you have a horse in heavy work or that is a hard keeper,

and you just can't maintain his weight and energy with just hay

and whatever concentrates you give him.

So fat is a very calorie-dense nutrient.

There are some conditions like PSSM,

where we found that when you provide fat as a fuel,

they seem to do better movement-wise.

Their muscles appreciate that.

Now, we're getting more specific.

There's specific kinds of fats--

omega-3 fatty acids-- that have been shown

to support really healthy skin.

So horses that have sweet itch seem

to do better when they have omega-3s on board.

That's the problem with corn oil.

Corn oil, as you know now, is really high in omega-6s and low

in 3s.

So the balance is skewed.

The problem with that is that 3s tend

to support pathways and processes in the body that cool

and calm things down, and 6s tend

to be exciting and get the body all ramped up.

And we don't want to do that, because it's not just the skin,

it's everything.

It's joints, it's muscle, it's digestive system.

Those omega-6 pathways are--

I'm just going to go ahead and say it.

They're on the inflammatory side.

They lead to inflammatory mediators and cytokines,

and the omega-3s don't.

So we still use fat, but we've gotten away

from corn as the source of it, because that ratio is about--

I've seen anywhere from one part omega-3 to 60 parts omega-6,

even 80 parts omega-6.

And we look at pasture as the ideal ratio,

and it's four parts omega-3s to one part omega-6.

So even the opposite.

SARAH: Omega-6s is in pasture, and then corn oil is like this.

DR LYDIA GRAY: Yes.

SARAH: So of the opposite way.

It's not what you want.

DR LYDIA GRAY: It's very hard to come back

from that skewed of a ratio.

So your choices for, then, a healthy fat

would be flax seed, chia seed-- two

of the most highest levels of omega-3s in plants-- fish oil.

But the other side of it is, what form of fat

is convenient for my horse and tastes good?

Sometimes oils, in the summer, can go rancid

if they're not stabilized properly, and in the winter,

they can get thick and hard to use.

And so a lot of people have gone to solid fats.

And not, like, like a chunk of fat.

I don't mean that.

I mean, like--

SARAH: Like a scoop of Crisco.

DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah, no, I mean, like-- the word is prilled.

And they're tiny, tiny little granules of fat.

They have a little bit of flavoring in them,

and they're quite tasty, and they're

convenient for everybody to use.

And so a lot of people have gone to that.

SARAH: Around here, we affectionately

call them greasy fat pearls, which--

how does that not sound appetizing?

But the horses do love the taste.

DR LYDIA GRAY: Yeah.

SARAH: A lot of people, I think, wonder

why there aren't more pelleted fat products,

because that is always a challenge, especially

with hard keepers.

A lot of times they're picky eaters,

and that's part of what makes them a hard keeper.

But fat is just hard to pellet.

DR LYDIA GRAY: Well you said it.

Greasy.

Things that are greasy don't stay in formed pellets.

They just, bleh, fall apart.

So we can prill them into the little pearls,

but it's very hard to make a larger pellet-like structure

that holds together.

SARAH: Fortunately, we have several powder-based,

pearl-based fat products that have terrific reviews,

both in terms of palatability.

So you guys can read reviews from horse owners

right on our website.

Ep. 72: How To Close Deals | Negotiation Tips For Real Estate Agents - Duration: 8:18.

Hello, everybody.

Thank you for coming to this week's video blog.

My name is Robert Rico, California Realty Training.

Hoping to bring some good stuff to you again, and again and again.

Some of you have yet to subscribe.

I hope you do that soon, so you don't miss any of this good stuff.

Listen today's topic.

Pretty cool one.

Today's topic is about negotiations and how they can benefit you, your client and of course

everybody else involved.

Let's get something straight here before we move any further.

You're getting a career, the real estate career that's going to be 100% commission based.

I hope you understand what that means.

Commission based meaning, you're not gonna get paid by the hour.

You're solely gonna paid on what you close.

So you want to hear "Close, record, done, caput, over and out."

You have to follow through the process.

Well first of all you gotta open, follow the process, then close the deal.

To put something into an escrow, to get it started, you gotta first of all come to an

agreement with somebody.

And that might be where the negotiations start.

Now where does most negotiations typically start?

Let's talk about negotiations in general.

What is negotiation?

What is negotiating in general?

Negotiation is actually the act of discussing an issue between two or more parties with

competing interests, with an aim of coming to an agreement.

Now we got two parties, both of them are competing for something yet both want to come to an

agreement.

And that's tough.

Now typically in real estate when you first wanna get tied up in a binding contract, you

gotta negotiate what?

You gotta come to an agreement on what?

Let's try it.

The sale price of the house, right?

The price of the house.

That's just the beginning.

Now when it comes to negotiations, a lot of buyers of course wanna get the house for the

least price possible.

I'm mean it's a no brainer.

Everybody wants to get something for nothing.

The least amount possible.

Give me the best deal out there.

Well that's kinda hard to do because most people who understand negotiations, understand

that it has to be equal, balanced, has to be reasonable.

Key word here is reasonable for both sides.

So what a deal when you have two reasonable people coming together?

Of course we wanna come to a, yeah, a reasonable agreement.

Hope you understand how that works.

So that being said, when you hear somebody, one of your buddies or a friend or a family

member say, "Hey I gotta great deal.

I got the best negotiator, the best agent who negotiated.

I got $100,000.00 off of my house."

That was pure luck because the most reasonable person wouldn't give you a $100,000.00 discount

on a property that's worth a lot more.

Right?

When it comes to negotiations, let's get this straight.

It's a reasonable compromise.

Are you with me?

It's a reasonable compromise.

So typically it starts out with the sales price.

You got a buyer who's excited, "Yeah, I'm just going make an offer on a house."

Cause you got $1,000,000.00 house and they wanna make an offer on it.

Now you think making an offer of 800,000 on a $1,000,000.00 house is reasonable?

Is that gonna be a good starting negotiating tactic?

They wanted to come in with $800,000.00 as their opening bid.

Is that a reasonable start?

Is that a good way to start off the negotiations?

Of course not.

And that's where the negotiations break down.

Because what can happen there is very simple.

You could insult the seller who'll say, "You know what, get outta here.

Don't even want to bother with you again."

Now of course we have to determine what kind of market we're in, right?

So it gets kind of confusing, it can get complicated but let's just go with the scenario that we

have at our hands today.

What kind of market are we in today?

Yeah we have a seller's market.

We have a seller's market in today's economy.

You present an offer to somebody and you wanted 20% discounts?

$1,000,000.00 down a 100,000?

Chances are the seller's gonna say, "Go to hell."

And that's the last thing the buyer wants right?

If the buyer's dying for this house?

Why in heaven's name would you request a 20% discount?

Horrible negotiation tactic.

"Hey, let's dole ball them, maybe they'll meet us in the middle at 900,000?"

Let's think about the market again.

It's a seller's market.

What are the chances of them giving you a 10% discount?

Slim to none.

Think about the real estate market.

Now negotiations get confusing.

They can get complicating but I want you to understand, let's keep it on the surface,

right?

Let's just keep it on the surface.

Alright so now let's assume they accepted your offer at $1,000,000.00.

You wizened up, alright you gave them a full price offer.

And you know what that is right?

A full price offer.

You gave them what they asked for.

You opened escrow, you're in legal and binding contracts.

Now that's just the beginning.

Now most people splatter it all over Facebook, "Yeah, yeah opened an escrow."

It's like saying, "Yeah, yeah I showed up for work."

You're just starting the day.

You have yet to close the deal.

You have yet to earn your money.

That makes sense.

Don't celebrate until you close the deal, in my opinion.

What are you celebrating showing up to work?

You get excited when you're done and get outta there, right?

So let's close the deal first.

Now within the day ... Within that escrow period, within that transaction process, there's

a lot more stuff going on.

And remember that as a real estate agent, we talked about this five minutes ago, you

don't get a dime until we close the deal.

So that being said, so rocking and rolling, every day is a step in the horse race.

Right?

But a bump, but a bump, but a bump, but a bump.

And the whole idea is to finish the race.

So we getting closer and closer to the finish line.

We're almost there and there's a moment where there's a few things wrong with the home.

Oh, oh your buyer has a home inspection.

There's some items in the house that need some attention.

There's some problems with the house.

Roof is leaking.

The inspector says, "The foundation is cracked."

Boom.

Push pause on this deal.

Does the buyer wanna continue with this escrow that has a leaky roof and a cracked foundation?

Maybe, maybe not.

But here's where you as a realtor come in.

It's time to negotiate.

Should the buyer, they can say, "Hey, you know what it would be a great idea if we ask

the seller."

"Hey seller give us a $50,000.00 discount to repair the foundation and the roof."

Who knows what the right amount is?

That's where you and the other agent have to come together, use your negotiating abilities

and put something reasonable on the table.

You know, there's also ways of asking, "Hey seller if you don't give me $50,000.00 I'm

walking."

This is from us as the buyer.

"Hey, seller if you don't give me $50,000.00 discount, I'm walking away from this deal."

Is that a good way to negotiate?

Is that a good way to keep this together?

Is that a good way to get to the payday?

Of course not.

How bout this tactic?

"Mr. Seller ..." Of course these are the agents talking to each other, but you're gonna put

it in writing.

"Seller we found issues.

Our inspector found issues with the roof.

How much are you willing to contribute to repair the roof?"

It almost gives them the sense of, "Wow, they're allowing us to help them."

And all you have to do is come up with the number.

I mean just to let them be participating in resolving the issue.

Many people who are right behind buyer number one, who are ready to take the house just

as it is.

If buyer number one doesn't want the house?

You'll have buyer number two right behind them, in today's market.

So when it comes to negotiating, we outta ask ourselves, "Who has the edge to begin

with?"

Whoever has the edge in the market, in this case it would be the seller's, typically has

the most control in the negotiations.

Got it?

Because typically in today's market, the sellers have buyer number one, buyer number two and

buyer number three waiting for this home.

So all these things you have to consider.

All these variables are goodwill to all consider before even going to the negotiation tables.

Hey you guys want some good advice?

Do this, before going into the negotiation table?

Try to get as much as information as you can from the other side.

Try to get as much as you can from the other team.

How soon do they have to be outta there?

You might wanna ask them that.

Would that help out the buyer with making the offer?

You bet.

How motivated is the seller?

Are there any other offers on this house?

If there are no other offers on this house, isn't that something good for the buyer?

True it is.

If there's other offers on the house, you think the buyers are gonna come in with a

20% discount?

Of course not.

If there aren't other buyers on this house?

There are no other offers on this house, you think the buyer might come down a little bit?

Probably.

But again it's all based on the motivation of the seller.

The seller's got to get the hell outta his house cause he got his wife waiting for him

in Hawaii and he's living in California.

And she's been there for one month and he can't stand another day without her?

How high is that motivation?

Is he willing to take a cut?

Probably, if he misses her.

Right?

Hope this helps your negotiations.

Oh my God.

It's the glue to keeping everything together.

Once you open?

Run the process.

Then close the deal.

Then you can celebrate.

Please remember this.

Getting an offer accepted is just the beginning.

Doesn't mean you're guaranteed your commission after 30 to 45 days.

There's a whole bunch of negotiations that can occur during that transaction period.

Got it?

Good.

Listen hope you enjoyed this video blog.

Scott Wallace for Congress | I'm Running - Duration: 2:31.

With all the chaos and dysfunction, we need someone

representing us in Washington who will stand up to

Donald Trump and the Republican Congress.

So I thought, wouldn't it be great if Bucks County Commissioner, Diane Marseglia, would run for Congress?

Me? I was honored, but I told Scott I love my current job too much

You know what?

I thought he should run.

Me run?

You bet! Now more than ever we need people to run because they're ready to dedicate

their time and energy to our country and help change things in Washington.

Scott grew up in Bucks County.

His father ran a chicken hatchery. His mother was president of Planned Parenthood of Bucks County

Scott was a hard worker right from the start.

Pumping gas, working as a carpenter's assistant, and flipping burgers at the local Burger Chef.

After Haverford College and Villanova law school, Scott clerked for a federal judge from Bucks County.

Then off to Washington to make a difference. He worked with Democrats and Republicans as general counsel for the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee,

where he helped America uncover the damage done by Agent Orange in Vietnam and help secure

disability compensation and Veterans job training. On the Senate Judiciary Committee, Scott led negotiations with the House on major crime legislation,

The Missing Children's Act, and laws to help runaway and homeless youth.

But nothing's more important to Scott than family. The Wallace family has a long history of public service.

As Secretary of Agriculture, Scott's grandfather helped save American farmers during the Dust Bowl and depression of the 1930s,

and then went on to serve as Vice-President to Franklin Roosevelt.

Scott's father served in World War II and was among the first American troops into Auschwitz after it was liberated.

Scott's wife Christy served as a U.S. Diplomat, representing our country around the globe, including danger zones like El Salvador.

She's the daughter of a career Marine, a Pearl Harbor survivor.

For the last two decades Christy and I have been running a charitable foundation

to do things like empower women, fight climate change, and create the clean energy jobs of the future.

None of us can just sit on the sidelines while Donald Trump and the Republican Congress

hand over our nation to billionaires and corporate special interests.

We're losing something about who we are as Americans and what we stand for.

So with support from Diane and other local leaders, we're moving forward.

I hope you'll join my campaign to bring real change to Washington.
