What is Mo up to in EastEnders? Lacey Turner reveals the truth behind Slaters' returns

The EastEnders cast was confirmed to be getting a bit of a revamp last year when a number of icons were revealed to be returning.

Its all been happening the past few weeks, with Big Mo (Laila Morse) returning last Friday and breaking the news that Kat (Jessie Wallace) was dead.

On Tuesday, Jean (Gillian Wright) turned up at Staceys but was confused by the news, saying shed spoken to Kat earlier in the day.

In tonights double bill, Kat will make her big return when she walks into her own wake at the Queen Vic.

Since Mos arrival back in Walford, shes been scrambling to raise money for Kats funeral and send off.

"The Slaters coming back ruins Staceys life" Lacey Turner The locals have been offering their hands to various fundraising schemes or given vital aspects free of charge, such as a coffin.

Viewers know Kat isnt dead, so its got them thinking – what is Big Mo really up to? Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey, has revealed that her familys return doesnt necessarily mean good things are coming.

Teasing whats to come, she said: The Slaters coming back ruins Staceys life.

They come back, cause a load of trouble and then expect Stacey to put it all back together..

She added: When I heard they were coming back, I was very excited.

I love being around them, I love working with them and I think its lovely for Stacey to have her family back.

We are useless working together because all we do is laugh.

We spend most of our time laughing and trying to get some work done. Commenting on why people love the iconic girls, she said: I think everyone loves the Slaters because theyre just a bit nuts, arent they? They do what they want, say what they want, and go around causing trouble..

Kat turns up at her own party tonight, with everyone dressed up in leopard print and wearing red lipstick.

But could Kat be in on whatever Big Mo is up to? And if not, how will she react to people mourning her? EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm and 9pm on BBC One.
