In terms of travelling with medications, can that be an issue?
What advice would you give to somebody who is travelling with medication?
So, from a liquids perspective, you're allowed one bag of cosmetics, lipsticks, etc, but
if you have a medical condition you can take a second bag, and all you need to do is advise
security as you put both bags on the tray.
Just be very clear to point out, this is a bag of medication.
And if somebody has medication in their checked baggage but then their flight is delayed and
their bag is gone, what can they do?
Very difficult to get a bag back once it's gone through the process.
If you're on a short haul, you might find that the bags haven't left the baggage hall
and they're probably sitting in baggage trolleys and the airline may well be able
to access them.
If you're on a long haul, the bags may well have been loaded, because aircraft, the bigger
they are, the earlier they're loaded.
So if the bags are loaded and in the hold of the aircraft, it's going to be nigh on
impossible to get the bags back out.
So I would always suggest you travel with a contingency amount of medication just in
case it goes technical.
In your hand luggage?
