Are there any hackers in Splatoon 2?

To answer the first question: do hacks exist in Splatoon 2?
The answer is yes.
But there are only few things you can do for now
because even if hacks exist, we are far from Splatoon 1 hacks.
Where it was pretty common to meet cheaters in online mode.
And in fact, most hacks that are available in Splatoon 2 right now,
are only available with old versions of Splatoon. Versions that aren't updated,
And even an old version of the Nintendo Swtich.
It's not possible to play online with old versions
Right now, the only hacks that exist on the Switch are,
in fact, made by Homebrew launcher, available for the version
3.0.0 of the Nintendo Switch. A fairly famous hacker shared it on the Internet.
This program simplifies hacks on the Nintendo Switch, and in particular
on Splatoon 2, but version 3.0.0 isn't the latest version of the Switch.
So, you can't use this program with the new versions.
And there's also a second factor that will stop the hacks on Splatoon 2.
Indeed, Nintendo, on its first versions of Splatoon (and especially before version 1.1.2)
had badly secured the data Game.
And that's why , when they released the game, there have been some hacks on it.
And especially data mining. They allowed some people to
extract the list of weapons planned into the future
Data mining has also allowed us to search in the game's algorithms
including how skills and beverages on equipment worked.

But Nintendo's dev have realized their error, and corrected it.
And now, the game version is way more secure than the old ones
that hacker are using now.
At the moment, what hackers have managed to do depends on the version used
and the Switch version used aswell.
With older versions of Splatoon 2, some managed to change their data,
like for example their level, their Super Sea Snail, their gold coins.
Mega Mew managed to transform himself into Octoling recently, the old Octolings,
not those coming for in the DLC.
There is Splathax 2 on Splatoon 2 announced, for the version 1.0.
A program that would allow you to choose your equipement bonus
But all that is only valid on old Splatoon 2 versions
it's impossible to play online with it.
But we can imagine a hacker who would change his saves,
changing his money, his level, or even his equipment, then update the game
with a recent version of Splatoon 2, on which his saves will still be available.
But that's the kind of thing that is working only once
So it's not very interesting for the players who want to hack regularly.
On newer versions of Splatoon 2, other hacks were possible.
Oatmealdome hacked it (by changing the LAN mode)
and started to explore maps that weren't available.
Maps that weren't out yet, or even some Salmon Run's arenas.
It is quite interesting to explore this way.
Also, on recent version, there are leaks available.
There is, for example, Lean who recently explored the new game data
after a Splatoon 2 uptdate. He realized that some weapon's kit

But the hack isn't something frozen, every day, Nintendo's devs keep working
on their games and on their consoles, try to improve their security.
While the hackers, on their side, try to cross all those barriers.
It is possible that, in the future, some hacks get patched and
and they are no longer possible to use

and discover new things.
