640 HP Stealth 64 Turbocharger for LLY, LBZ, LMM - Duration: 3:54.

- In the last video we told you all about the stock LLY,

LBZ, LMM turbo chargers.

How the vanes move to control turbine breaking,

control exhaust velocity,

and back pressure under heavy load.

In this video we're going to talk about how we upgrade

them to supply 640 rear wheel horsepower or more.

(drums)

And you can see on the Stealth Series turbocharger

we've turned out the inside of the housing,

we've made room on the inside of the bore for a larger

turbine.

On the stock one, you have quite a bit

more material in there.

Any time you can lower the pressure on the back side

of the turbine, you get a better efficiency,

better running turbo charger.

So, that's an advantage.

We add the larger turbine, we add the larger compressor,

so we'll cut the inside of this housing.

This is a factory compressor cover, we'll put this

on the lathe as well, turn the inside of it to fit

the larger compressor wheel.

We'll go from the 62 by 65, 13 blade stock turbine

on the LLY, to a larger 66.5 by 72 10 blade turbine.

And what that's going to do is allow for lower

drive pressure and higher operating speed,

higher operating load.

Anytime we can lower drive pressure, that's just as good

as adding boost.

So, the less pumping efficiency that's lost

in drive pressure that's horsepower that you're leaving

on the table, and that's EGT.

So anytime we can lower drive pressure, our EGT's are

going to improve.

Our compressor wheel, you'll notice we call Stealth 64

it's a 62.5 millimeter compressor and you heard me right,

it's actually slightly smaller than the stock compressor.

Now the advantage we have is the six blade design,

it's a performance design.

It has a larger back wall, so it's better at running

at high pressure.

And it also is taller, so the compressor wheel is larger

you just don't necessarily see in on the compressor

inducer side.

It is good for more horsepower.

These turbo charger easily make 640 horsepower to the tire

on our DYNO compared to the 530 to 540 we see on stock LLY.

And we're able to maintain awesome driveability because

we have a low rotating mass, it does not go

into surge easily.

This upgraded compressor maintains the use of the

factory anti-surge ring.

We've worked a lot on the clearance between the compressor

wheel and the cover, and on how to shape a compressor

that drives really well but also makes good power.

Each of these assemblies is balanced.

The solenoids are rebuilt, new bearing packs,

everything is redone, maintains turbine breaking,

maintains all those benefits of a VGT turbocharger

at altitude and under towing situations.

But just makes more power, and runs lower EGT under load.

What if you want to go to the next level?

If you want to go more than 640 horsepower,

we have a 67 millimeter version of this

with a larger turbine yet, and a larger performance

oriented vane pack that we're testing.

And our goal for that is mid 700s to the tire.

Again, you're going to trade off a little bit of the low

speed performance with the larger wheels but

our goal is to make it the most drivable, most reliable,

highest performing VVT on the market.

OBS Studio 132 - TOP 5 TIPS TO OPTIMIZE YOUR VIDEO SETTINGS FOR PERFORMANCE (OBS Performance Guide) - Duration: 4:32.

In this episode, I'm going to show you a 5 cool tricks to optimizing your video settings

for better performance during streaming or recording while using OBS Studio.

I'm EposVox, here to make tech easier and more fun, and welcome back to my OBS Studio

tutorial course.

Check that before asking questions, and check the introduction video to learn how this course

works, if you get confused.

We're going to start with a couple basic tips that not everyone has considered.

For example, if you're struggling with maintaining a steady frame rate while live streaming,

consider lowering your target frame rate to 25 FPS instead of 30.

It's just a few less frames, but can really help make sure your computer can maintain

it.

I wouldn't recommend this for recording, however.

Viewers are much more likely to forgive certain video quality issues in a live stream than

in a recorded video.

Another great one is to stream at 854x480, or "480p", instead of 720p.

This may be easier for your computer to handle and might actually look better to the viewer.

The smaller a resolution you go without changing the bitrate, the better a video looks.

A 2 megabits per second stream looks much better at 480p than 720p.

Dropping below 480p might start to get a little too small for any sort of on-screen text to

be visible, however.

A big thing to check on for both recording and streaming is your resolution consistency.

In the "Video" settings tab and your "Output" settings tab - you want to make sure you don't

have it set to downscale and then upscale your video footage back up.

An easy mistake is leaving the default downscaled resolution setting in the "Video" settings

tab, and then setting the "base" resolution back as the "scaled" resolution in the

output settings.

This can trash your video quality and use up a lot more resources.

Instead, only scale once.

Either in the video settings or the output settings, but not both.

Next, you can change your "CPU Usage Preset" to "faster", "veryfast", or "superfast"

to reduce strain on your system and improve performance.

This is in your streaming and recording settings for x264.

This can really speed things up, but there will be minor impacts to video quality - so

you will want to find a balance with the settings.

Do LOTS of test streams and recordings before committing to a setup!

Lastly, if your system supports it, you can use hardware-accelerated encoding to speed

things up.

This includes Intel QuickSync Video, AMD VCE encoding, and Nvidia Nvenc.

Whether or not your system supports any of these will vary based on your computer.

QuickSync is only available on certain Intel processors.

AMD VCE and Nvidia Nvenc is only available on newer desktop graphics cards or very high-end

laptops with dedicated graphics cards.

To set this up, head back to your Output settings and click the dropdown next to "Encoder".

If you have something other than x264, you can give it a try.

It might perform way better than normal x264 software encoding.
