West Hollywood calls for Trump Walk of Fame star's removal - Duration: 2:19.

On the same day the City of West Hollywood voted to ask for President Donald Trump's Walk of Fame star to be removed, the person who'd most recently vandalized it was charged

The resolution to request the removal of Trump's star's was unanimously adopted by the West Hollywood City Council but is not legally binding as the city has no jurisdiction over the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Mayor John Duran said the vote was symbolic."The West Hollywood City Council did not pass the resolution because Donald Trump is a conservative or a Republican

Earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is an honor. When one belittles and attacks minorities, immigrants, Muslims, people with disabilities or women -- the honor no longer exists," he told CNN

Duran said the council had never previously asked for a star to be removed: "Never have we intruded into our neighboring city's business like this

But the circumstances compelled us to make an exception to the rule."The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which does have jurisdiction over the iconic tourist attraction, said Trump's star was safe for the time being

"Once we receive a communication from the City of West Hollywood, it will be referred to our Executive Committee for consideration at their next meeting

As of now, there are no plans to remove any stars from the Hollywood Walk of Fame," President Leron Gubler said

"The West Hollywood City Council does not have jurisdiction over the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Gubler has previously said that once a star has been added it is considered "a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame" and no stars have ever been removed

How do you go about adapting a book like L'Étranger for the stage?

I think first of all you really acquaint yourself with it, you read it many times

you live it very intensely, and then you follow it's very clear inner trajectory.

There's something about the stage which is different from a novel, the novel is

an internal experience, you read it inwardly privately as it were, but the

stage is an external experience, you watch it on stage, you share it with other people.

There's certain great conventions of the stage - the way in

which a play must be patterned to deliver its greatest power.

And I wanted to follow that very clearly with this play. It lent itself to it but you had to

shape it, you had to keep to the leanness of it. I had to think both bare and

lyrical, both dramatic and authentic.

that when people complain they are often just being difficult,

they are often just trying to get money back so there's this idea that when

someone complains it's an annoyance. Actually, what often happens is that

if you think about it in this context - if you think of your Facebook friends, if

you've got a friend on there who you don't see very often, and they annoy you,

you will delete them or block their posts. If your closest friends that you

see every week annoys you, you will tell them to their face, you'll actually

say you know this is what you've done to hurt me I'm upset, and I need to tell you

why. Well your complainers are in fact your best friends. They're the ones that

are telling you what's going wrong with whatever it is you're

delivering and they're not the dangerous ones, the dangerous ones are the

ones that are deleting you from Facebook. So, they are the ones that didn't have

great service, didn't get a great product, can't be bothered to complain, they're

just not going to come back. So, your complaints can be used to

constantly improve your business service really.
