How expensive is the MOST expensive city in the world!? | ZURICH VLOG - Duration: 14:46.
This is Zurich
many people that get here don't see much more than the airport from the inside
but Zurich is actually a beautiful city.
You can swim and watch the sunset at
Lake Zurich, you can always find new friends and you can spend your entire money...
Hey guys welcome back to our Channel and today we're exploring.. Zurich!
Some of you might know that Switzerland is not the cheapest country in the world
Zurich specifically is according to a study by wealth manager UBS based on the
needs and consumption of a three person family the most expensive city in the
world. So I don't understand why we're here because we don't have that much
money but we wanted to check if it was actually true that it's so expensive so
we're here for two days and we're gonna tell you exactly all of the prices of
the things that we're buying and how much an average tourist like us would
spend in one day in Zurich. So let's go! Guys so we've tried to record
this video three times but we are just too dumb to understand how the public
transportation system works. We want to go to this mountain and we want to go to
our airbnb and Janik you say this.. good luck to me
There's a possibility of
getting a free bike.... we're gonna make a voiceover bye!
with the Zurich card you get a bunch of benefits over a period of either 24 or 72
hours it costs 27 or 53 francs and includes public transportation in the
city a boat trip and free or reduced admission to museums and other
experiences sadly, our Airbnb was in a zone that was not included.
To save money we
had the amazing idea of staying in an Airbnb that is pretty far away from the
center pretty cheap the problem is that now we have to buy a ticket that
includes all of the zones..
we're gonna buy the nine o'clock day pass for all
the zones it's 26 francs.
We are going to get breakfast now and for that we want
to save some money so we're going to ALDI which is this cheap supermarket and
there it is
unfortunately I don't have a spoon so I have to drink it yummy
after breakfast we went through Zurich's Old Town which is in district 1
so Joss is having some difficulties Joss is having some difficulties because
she decided to wear a skirt today and now she's flashing everybody and there's
a lot of wind so that's not great
guys honestly it's way too hot I just want to sit on the lake jump into the
lake drink cold water but I gotta say the whole area looks pretty nice yes
like I really like those houses and they're with the mountains in the
background looks really nice in the river too I think today is more a day
to relax and chill tomorrow we're gonna do more stuff than today it looks so
chilled it's like sleeping in cold water nice
Tonight, we are going to try.. Swiss food!!
But for now let's go get some
Italian-German food for lunch we decided to go to vapiano an Italian
restaurant that we know from Germany after seeing the prices though we just
went to a supermarket instead.. There we got pasta a salad some fruits and
a drink for 21 francs and therefore saved quite some money. Then we walk to the
lake. It's full of people there's a very nice atmosphere and everybody's just so
chilled enjoying life I feel like I'm in Cancun. Sadly we both forgot our
swimshorts and swimsuits so we're just here dipping our little feet on the
water
so nice! I wanna move here!
Ah My legs are fresh..
OMG ruining my shot... guys Janik went in with his underwear, he couldn't resist
it. And there's so many fishes fish? there's so many fish, fishes? just
staring at my feet and it's freaking scary. They're about to attack, and yeah they want my blood..
Alrighty mighty, so guys I got outside of the water in my
underwear I just put my shorts on top of my
underwear and now ya know it's super wet.
And everybody thinks he peed his pants. I had an idea I'm just
gonna make my entire pants wet but she didn't let me (Stop showing them your crotch!)
by the way it was super
refreshing in the water I gotta say... so what do you think about the food prices
so far after breakfast and lunch? it's a bit sad because we only got to eat stuff
from the supermarket we knew that Switzerland was expensive
so I'm not complaining about that as a foreigner it's pretty expensive yeah as
a foreigner especially a Mexican if I would be living here I would probably cook
at home pretty much the whole month but also you
have to take into account that the people that live here have a higher
salary than for example in other countries. But I'm loving the city like
I really want getting to get a job here earn a lot of money so I can just be a
Swiss foreigner a girl.
We are in this restaurant called Rachlette Factory
And here they are supposed to have very authentic
traditional Swiss food.. We ordered one Rachlette it's a Swiss national dish
and a kuche, Flamkuchen this is what people call
Flamkuchen and this is Rachlette.
for these two dishes plus two drinks and including the
tip we paid 49 francs after Janik finished playing with the waiters from the restaurant
we keep walking around until the day was over. hey guys
welcome to our second day in Zurich we're so tired man the jet lag is
killing us! -What jet lag! -no just kidding there's no jet lag because is the same time zone we
are going to have breakfast now at a bakery to compare the prices from the
supermarket where we got breakfast yesterday and to a normal bakery good
idea! guys we made it to the bakery it's very near central station, maybe there are
some cheaper bakeries out there further from the station but we're looking at
this from the tourist perspective so if you want something fast you probably
would come somewhere near central station
for a panini and pretzel and a chocolate bread
we paid 16.5 francs. I am shocked guys my panini was seven
francs For the three things we bought it was
around 14 francs but what we didn't know we ate inside and because of that we had
to pay 15% on top so in the end it was between 16 and 17 francs. We don't know
if it is like this in every bakery in Switzerland but maybe consider asking
when you come to a bakery and you want to eat something so now we're gonna go
on top of a mountain called Uetliberg and in between we're gonna eat this that
we still have from yesterday
first thing to learn when you're traveling with Joss.. don't listen to her
of course we went to the wrong direction.. because of her...
We have to walk for 15 minutes uphill to apparently see the best view of Zurich. I'm pretty tired
OMG, cringe.
Janik wants to go to this house but I don't want to say it out
loud because it's a bad word in Spanish
Janik! I hate that word! I hate that word! so don't say it guys. I know where we're
gonna go. No, I saw it already, I'm not going there dude..
totally we're gonna go there we're gonna go all the way there
pretty cool look at them like 50 meters above us the view must be amazing
they're so close Wow
we realize we have to pay 2 francs if you want to go up there but I don't want
to go cuz I'm too scared we went to the first floor already and I just got vertigo
like crazy. Ok guys we're going up and Joss decided to come with me
because she's like "no I have to challenge my fears" she's fearless
she's fearless
you can hold my hand just hold my hand... so Joss decided to go
back ok guys so as you can see I'm all the way up I'm mostly afraid of just
dropping my camera instead of like me falling down if you come up the mountain
and you're not afraid of heights you should definitely think about going up
here on this tower because the view is amazing
she made it! Look at her, I'm so proud!
ok guys so made it to the top and I'm very scared I was just thinking about
Janik being here alone and not being able to take a cool photo. But you made it
next up is a boat!
so we left all of our stuff in a locker on the main station
the locker was seven francs for six hours it's pretty expensive but it was
the best thing we could have done because we had to very heavy backpacks
after spending most of the day walking around the lake cruise was a perfect way
to relax the trip was included in our ticket and if you go in the evening
you're able to watch a beautiful sunset
i'm loving this boat trip
We made it back, we are back in Zurich!
after the boat trip we went to have dinner at Subway sadly Janik
forgot to record it. We ordered two menus with the sub of the day one
6-inch, one footlong and paid twenty five point five francs in total
after this we got ready to go back to Germany. We wanted to finish this video
by talking about how much we spend there and our final thoughts.
First of all Zurich is amazing! -Is beautiful! -I want to come back. -If I have money I want to come back too.
So I made the counts and in total on those two days both of us together we spent around
230 francs and that's around 200 euros which means per person per day
we spent 50 euros and from that half of the money was for the public
transportation ticket yeah and that doesn't include Airbnb or the
transportation from Munich to Zurich. In our case we didn't go to fancy restaurants
we decided to go more to supermarket's and save more money so of
course if you visit there and you want to go to museums or things like these it
might be more expensive for you. But we hope this can be an overview what you can expect as a
tourist in Switzerland for a day and let us know in the comments down below if
you have been to Zurich and what your experience was. People from Switzerland
if we said anything wrong in the video then please leave it also in the
comments below and correct us but know you're living in a very cool city
let us know if you like videos if you want us to make more for you because we
love making them and don't forget to subscribe if you have not subscribed
already and leave us a thumbs up if you like this
video see you next week tschuss! Adios muchachos!

Is Becca Kufrin Engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen & Still Together? Who Is She With? | Heavy.com - Duration: 6:16.
Is Becca Kufrin Engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen & Still Together? Who Is She With? | Heavy.com
ABC/Paul Hebert After surviving shocking twists and turns, and a journey filled with laughter, tears, love and controversy, Becca heads to the Maldives with her final two bachelors: Blake and Garrett.
She can envision a future with both men, but time is running out.
Then later, Becca will be in studio with Blake and Garrett to discuss the stunning outcome and the heartwrenching decisions that changed all of their lives forever.
Becca Kufrin does get engaged on the 2018 finale episode of The Bachelorette.
With only two men left in the mix, Kufrin voiced on the finale that she had difficulty choosing the man she wanted to be her mate in life.
It was down to Garrett Yrigoyen and Blake Horstmann, but before we reveal who get engaged to Kufrin, THIS IS YOUR BIG SPOILER WARNING.
Be sure to STOP READING NOW if you do not want to know about the man Kufrin ends up with at the end of The Bachelorette season 14.
Now let's get into all the details.
So, is Becca Kufrin engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen? The answer, according to Reality Steve, is "yes".
Kufrin also has confirmed to the media that she is, indeed, engaged.
Over the course of the Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons, often the person who receives the first impression rose, ends up with the star at the end.
And, this certainly held true for Kufrin and Yrigoyen.
During the overnight dates episode, Kufrin admitted to the cameras that, "I gave him that first impression rose for a reason and since then, I've been blown away by him.
I'm in love with Garrett, but the question is, 'Can he always challenge me and push me and honestly last for a lifetime?'".
During the premiere episode of the season, Reality Steve reported that, when former Bachelorette contestants gave Kufrin advice on the show, "Kaitlyn, JoJo, and Rachel join Becca at the mansion for a girl chat … And they certainly make it a point to remind everyone that all 3 men that they're with are men they gave their first impression rose to AND got the first kiss of the season.
Something Becca does with Garrett this episode.".
For Yrigoyen's final solo date with Kufrin on the finale episode, ABC reported that, " … Becca's last date with Garrett, and she is still unsure of who she will choose to be her husband.
Despite her indecision, the couple has a wonderful day sailing and spotting a school of dolphins.
Their evening is perfect as they seem to be on the same page and very comfortable with each other, but there is still another final date to come.".
As far as the couple goes today, are they still together? According to Reality Steve, they are still together, but there have been reports that the two aren't as strong in their relationship as fans may hope.
Reality TV World has reported that Kufrin is still in love with runner-up Horstmann and that she may not be as "compatible" with winner Yrigoyen.
But, this could just be a rumor, right?ABC/Paul Hebert.
An insider reportedly told Life & Style that, "Becca told herself that she'd never go back on her choice.
But the truth is, she left the finale in love with both men.
And still, months later, she's in love with the runner-up … She's still engaged, of course, but Becca and the winner just aren't as compatible as she had thought.
She keeps wondering, 'What if?'".
The insider also said that when it comes to Kufrin, "She's constantly talking about falling in love with two guys, which doesn't make the winner feel really good.
She can't call him directly … So she's been talking about falling for him to make sure he knows how she feels … If things don't work out with the winner, Becca will definitely call the runner-up and hope that he still feels the same way." Whatever the case, Reality TV World has reported that Kufrin is "trying to make it work".
Hopefully, the couple stands the test of time.

Where Is 'Talking Saul'? Is the Show Canceled? | Heavy.com - Duration: 7:02.
Where Is 'Talking Saul'? Is the Show Canceled? | Heavy.com
Some episodes of Better Call Saul have traditionally been followed by an episode of Talking Saul, similar to the popular Talking Dead series that follows The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
Hosted by Chris Hardwick, this series is often enjoyed by Better Call Saul fans.
It airs after the premiere and finale episodes of each season of Better Call Saul.
But where is the show now? Is it airing tonight? If you're looking for Talking Saul after the Season 4 premiere of Better Call Saul, you'll likely notice that it's missing from the schedule and something else is airing instead.
Talking Saul is not airing tonight on AMC, but AMC has not officially announced the show's fate or if it will be returning for a season finale.
Here's what we know so far. .
After Better Call Saul's Season 4 premiere ends tonight, AMC is premiering a new series called Lodge 49 from 10:05 p.m.
Eastern to 11:16 p.m. Eastern.
The synopsis for this first episode reads: "Dud finds himself deposited by fate at the doorstep of Lodge 49, a dusty fraternal order that offers cheap beer and strange alchemical philosophies." After Lodge 49 is over, Better Call Saul airs an encore episode at 11:16 p.m.
Eastern. There's no Talking Saul tonight.
However, this doesn't necessarily mean that Talking Saul is permanently canceled.
Chris Hardwick was pulled from AMC's Talking series after sexual abuse allegations surfaced.
But just last week, AMC announced that they were welcoming Chris Hardwick and his Talking shows back.
It's not completely certain what this means for Talking Saul, however, or if the decision just came too late for Talking Saul to be aired tonight.
AMC hasn't made an official announcement about Talking Saul's fate.
Going into a little more detail, the confusion began when Hardwick ended up at the center of sexual abuse allegations.
Actress Chloe Dykstra, his ex-girlfriend, published a story on Medium detailing her experiences while she was dating Hardwick back in mid-June.
AMC then announced that it wasn't going to air the Talking with Chris series, whose second season was supposed to premiere in mid-June, pending an investigation.
AMC also announced at the time that Hardwick wouldn't be moderating panels for AMC and BBC America at San Diego Comic-Con.
Hardwick denied the allegations.
AMC then announced on July 14 that Yvette Nicole Brown would be the interim guest host of Talking Dead (and a Walking Dead preview special) while AMC investigated the Hardwick allegations.
AMC said in a statement: "Yvette Nicole Brown will step in as an interim guest host of 'The Walking Dead Season 9 Preview Special' on August 5 and 'Talking Dead' when it returns following the premiere of 'Fear the Walking Dead' on August 12, as we work to complete our assessment related to Chris Hardwick.".
But just a short time later, in late July, AMC announced that it was welcoming back Hardwick (and NBC quickly followed.) AMC said Hardwick would be returning to Talking Dead and Talking with Chris Hardwick.
He is set to return to Talking Dead on August 12, although he wasn't back in time for the preview special.
AMC said in a statement: "Following a comprehensive assessment by AMC, working with Ivy Kagan Bierman of the firm Loeb & Loeb, who has considerable experience in this area, Chris Hardwick will return to AMC as the host of Talking Dead and Talking with Chris Hardwick. We take these matters very seriously and given the information available to us after a very careful review, including interviews with numerous individuals, we believe returning Chris to work is the appropriate step.".
But in the midst of all of this, nothing was said about Talking Saul.
And today, fans are left with no announcement about Talking Saul just as AMC is set to premiere Better Call Saul.
All we know for certain is that Talking Saul is not airing tonight.
As for whether or not the show will return for the Better Call Saul season finale like it often does, that remains to be seen.
If you're missing Talking Saul, then try the Better Call Saul Insider Podcast, which features Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.
Cast and crew from the show are rotated on this podcast, and it can be found on YouTube or any podcast service.

Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho told Harry Maguire is not for sale at any price - Duration: 3:00.
United are ready to test the water with a £75m bid for the England and Leicester defensive rock Maguire
But the Foxes' wealthy owners are adamant he is going nowhere and are refusing to be bullied into selling their star man
United boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to get his hands on the 25-year-old and has urged executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to pull out all the stops to land his man
But Leicester are refusing to budge and are ready to double Maguire's wages to around £100,000-a-week to keep him at the club and bring him into line with their top earners Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel
Now with the summer transfer deadline looming at 5pm on Thursday, United are becoming desperate and are understood to have made bids for Bayern Munich's Boateng AND Tottenham's Alderweireld – in the hope of landing one of those targets
United officials spoke to their Bayern counterparts following the club's 1-0 defeat in Munich in their final pre-season warm-up on Sunday
Bayern are prepared to let the Germany international leave but want £45m for a player who spent a season under Roberto Mancini at Manchester City earlier in his career
And United have also tabled a "take it or leave it" offer of around £40m for Alderweireld - but that's £10m short of Spurs' valuation of the Belgium international who has only a year left on his contract
Both Boateng and Alderweireld will turn 30 next season so United's No 1 choice has always been Maguire, who is four years younger and whose stock has skyrocketed since his £17m switch from Hull just 12 months ago
He was one of England's star performers as they reached the World Cup semi-finals in Russia
However Leicester's mega-rich Thai owners pride themselves on standing their ground and have previously shown they're prepared to play hardball with a Manchester giant
Manchester City tried flexing their financial muscles in their bid to land Riyad Mahrez but were told where to go by Leicester
City eventually got their man but it was three transfer windows later and only when they had stumped up £60m to land Mahrez this summer
That represented almost total profit for the Midlands club who only paid £400,000 for the man who went on to be PFA Player of the Year in the shock title win two seasons ago
Maguire could even be at Old Trafford for the season opener on Friday night – but in a Leicester shirt
Maguire is now back in training but hasn't had a pre-season with The Foxes due to a post-World Cup break in Barbados
But with summer signing Jonny Evans struggling to be fit in time, boss Claude Puel may decide to pitch Maguire straight in and give United fans a glimpse of what they are missing

The Holy Spirit is our Restrainer | Program #12 - Duration: 28:31.
No matter how much we know, or think we know, about God and his Word,
there is always more. Today on s More, Rebecca Keener discusses
how the Holy Spirit is relevanto our everyday lives. He is the one who is our
Comforter in times of need and gives us the power to live a victorious
life. Now, here's Rebecca.
Welcome everybody to Always More. I'm Rebecca Keener and we are
continuing on our study on the Holy Spirit. Today our lesson is
the Holy Spirit is our Restrainer.
So you wanna stay tuned for this. Let's have a word of prayer and we'll get right
into our lesson. Lord, in Jesus name, we thank you for your word,
and we thank you for this study on the Holy Spirit. And we're
learning so much in your word and growing in you.
Lord, I pray for every person who's watching today, that you will speak
a word in due season, a rhema word and a logos
word, a written word and a fresh new word from heaven
for them that will change their life. We thank you, Lord, for your
word, for your Spirit, and Father, for this time together. We ask you to
anoint it and anoint our ears to hear a word in due
season, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.
Amen. Well, God bless you. Thank you again for tuning in.
We are on our 12th lesson studying about the different
facets and the personality of the Holy Spirit and some of the
roles that he plays in our life. And if you have not been
tuned in or maybe this is your first day to be watching,
we wanna encourage you, you can go to our website at alwaysmoretv.org
and you can check out our blog which has
the program notes, the study notes, for you
to, you can either use those if you'd like to use them
and teach them in a class or small group, or you can just
study them; and also there is a link to our YouTube and we are
posting, one by one, these programs for you to be able to go
back and enjoy and for the Holy Spirit just to remind you that
you're not here alone on this earth just trying to scrape by
and barely make it; that the Holy Spirit is here to
empower you, to empower me, to be able to do the things that
God has called us to do. And one of the roles is of
the Holy Spirit is as a Restrainer,
a restraining force here on the earth. Let's look at John
14 and 25, our text that we have looked at
many, many times and we still could get more out of it. And it
says this, "I have told you these things,"Jesus said,
"while I am still with you." Verse 26, "But the
Comforter," who is that word, comforter is parakelete meaning
counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate,
strengthener, and standby, "the Holy Spirit
whom the Father will send in my name, in my place to represent me
and act on my behalf. He will teach you
all things." And one of our programs was on the Holy Spirit is our
teacher, that was good one too, so I wanna encourage you to
watch that. "And he will cause you to recall,"
he will remind you, there's another program we did on the Holy Spirit
is your reminder; powerful,
powerful teaching the Lord gave us. "He will bring to your remembrance
everything that I have told you."
Then he goes on to say this in Verse 27,
he said, "Peace I leave with you, my own peace
I now give and bequeath to you, not as the world gives
do I give you. Do not let your hearts be troubled."
There is a restraining force right there, the restraining force of peace,
"not to be troubled, neither let them be
afraid. Stop allowing yourself," this is
in parenthesis in the Amplified Version, "to be agitated
and disturbed." Well, if ever there was a word in all
the bible, that would be it, amen? Especially for our mama's
out there, don't be agitated or disturbed, don't fret!
Amen! "And do not permit yourself
to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly
and unsettled. You heard me tell you," Verse
28, "I'm going away and I'm coming back to you
if you really love me, you would be glad because I'm going
to the Father for the Father is greater and mightier
than I." And so, we see here that his
peace is left here on earth through the power of the
Holy Spirit as a restraining force. Now, if you will turn
in your bible to 2 Thessalonians 2
and 7, 2 Thessalonians 2 and 7 and
it talks about, in that particular passage,
that "The secret power of lawlessness,"
and that's referring to the antichrist spirit,
"is already at word; but the One who now holds it back,"
and that One is capitalized and that is the power of the Holy Spirit,
"will continue to do so until
he is taken out of the way." So, that's
where we learn and understand that the Holy
Spirit, here on this earth, is a restraining force.
And there is a lot of doctrinal teachings on that particular
scripture of, you know, and debate going
between pre-trib and mid-trib and post-trib
that, you know, I believe that we're gonna be raptured out before the
tribulation and then the Antichrist is gonna
come; there are those that believe that we're in the middle of tribulation;
there are those that believe that we're gonna go through the
tribulation. And then, you know, according to this
particular scripture, if you were just looking at this particular scripture
in and of itself, it would seem to say,
and I'm not trying to make a case for pre-trib,
although I am pre-trib but I'm not trying to make a case
for it but it says that the secret power of lawlessness
is at work and that would be the spirit of the Antichrist.
If ever we were in an age where we saw the spirit of the Antichrist
at work, just you know, wanting to take
prayer out of schools, wanting to take the Ten Commandments out of schools,
out of courthouses, all of those
things that we see happening, anti-God, anti-Christ,
that is the spirit of antichrist at work. And the
One referred to there in 2 Thessalonians is the
Holy Spirit who holds back. And see,
we are the church of the Lord Jesus Christ and we are
the temple of the Holy Spirit. You, looking at me today,
and me looking at you, we are the temple of the
Holy Spirit. So we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, are here on
earth restraining the power of
the Antichrist. We're making a stand for righteousness,
we're shining the light of Jesus Christ, we are salt and light
in the earth today and we're holding up the standard of
the Word of God so that that force of
wickedness is held back, it's restrained.
And praise God for that! Now, we did a study
earlier on the Holy Spirit, I believe it was lesson 4,
that he was our conviction and that he
convicted us. The Holy Spirit will bring
a check in our Spirit
you know, a repentance, a brokenness that
we need to repent of our sin. That we are drawn
to him, that we no longer stand afar off but we
approach the Holy Spirit and we allow him to cleanse us,
to create in us a clean heart, renew a right spirit within us.
So we are wooed by the Holy Spirit
through the spirit of conviction. If you feel guilt and shame
and condemnation, be sure that is not of the
Lord! Amen! Because the Holy Spirit
does not bring guilt and shame;
he brings conviction. So, that's a past lesson that we
were taking about so we're kind of holding up the Holy Spirit and the Word
and looking at it and looking at the different facets of the personalitiy
just like we would a diamond in the light,
and we saw that he is a convicter. But
he also is a restrainer, so before we ever
even walk into sin, he can restrain us.
He can restrain darkness here on the earth and he's doing
that, amen, through each of us in a powerful way.
Now, we see
in 1 Corinthians 10 and 13, if you wanna
look at that scripture, it says, "There hath
no temptation taken you but it so as common to man
but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that you are able. But with the temptation
also make a way of escape
that you may be able to bear it." So, whenever
a temptation come or the enemy
tries to put a thought in our mind to do something that would
get us off course and be displeasing, be sinful,
come between us and the Lord, there
always is that way of escape for a believer. There's always
that moment; I wrote a blog on this not long ago
I felt so inspired by the Holy Spirit to write it
for especially teenagers and young adults and it's called,
"Let's Not," let's not. That whenever
a suggestion is made: let's go,
let's see how fast your car will go, let's
go drink a case of beer, let's go
party, let's go
vandalize a home, let's go shoplifting, let's
do- whatever it may be, let's try these drugs.
That we teach our kids and we learn ourselves
as adults to say, "Let's not, let's not." Amen!
That's the way of escape that the Holy Spirit is
provided. But see, it cannot be done
in our own ability, many times, because peer pressure
is so strong, ask me how I know!
You know, as a young adult and a teenager, you know, I would
a lot of times go anywhere the wind was blowing.
And not have any backbone to say, "Let's not!"
And usually it's that one person who stands up and says, "Let's not,"
that can affect a whole atmosphere. Amen?
So it's through the power of the Holy Spirit
and the restraining force of the Holy Spirit that we're given a way out
of every temptation. Now, if you look at the definition for
a restrainer, that is someone who, a person
or a group who will prevent someone from doing something or acting
out in a certain way; it also means to hold, to
fasten or the secure as to prevent
or limit movement. So, see, the restraining
force of the Holy Spirit operating for us
and through us prevents evil
and darkness upon the earth. Now, just some examples of
restraint mentioned in the bible; you're gonna love this.
Exodus 36 and 6, that's where Moses
had to issue, actually had to issue a command
and a proclamation that circulated throughout the camp.
And he told the people, "We have
received all we need to build the tabernacle. We don't need any more
don't bring any more, and the bible says, "Thus the people were
restrained from bringing anymore." See, that is
an example, early on in the Word of God, in
Exodus of the word "restraint"
and God exercising restraint among the people. We have
enough, amen; and he is God of more than
enough, that no matter what we need to complete a task, he's gonna
provide amply what we need. I love that!
Proverbs 29 and 18 says, "Where there
is no vision the people are unrestrained."
And so, it takes the vision of God, it takes God
giving us a vision; that's why moms out there, if you're watching me today, that's
one thing that we can agree together and pray is that God will give
our kids a vision for their life, of who he has
called them to be. Now who we think they should be or their
fathers or their grandparents or their teachers; but who God
wants them to be. A vision so that there is
restraint in their life, amen, they're restrained from getting off
course and doing all kind of foolishness because they
have a purpose and they have a focus and they know
what they wanna do with their life and they're staying with God and staying the
course. Proverbs 16 and 23 says,
"He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty
and he who rules his spirit
he can capture a city." If you can rule your
spirit, you can capture a city; that's powerful stuff.
See, that's restraint, in other words that we're just not
flying off the handle, getting mad at everybody, saying whatever comes
to our mind and I've been there, I've done it. And so,
every day I have to press into the Holy Spirit, every day
of my life, I have to press in because there will be something that comes along
that just brings agitation, irritation, you just wanna
pop off at the mouth and say something. And you have to just
lean into the Holy Spirit and say, "Holy Spirit,
I need you to rule my spirit right now. Help me Jesus from
saying what is on my mind to say because it is not good. I rebuke it
in Jesus name!" See, that's the restraint of the
Holy Spirit. And he will put the guard over our
mouth and our emotions. Psalm 141 and
over my mouth and keep a watch over the door of my
lips." And then again, in 1 Peter 3 and 10,
Peter said this, he said, "The one who desires
life to love and to see good days must keep his
tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit."
We've got to think about what we're thinking about
and what we're saying. And even last night as I was preparing
to come down, my husband and I got into a
conversation and somehow we got into a
subject of something that was just kind of, it's been irritating to me,
it's been bothering to me. And I began to just kind
of start speaking negatively about it, I said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa- how'd we even get
into this subject? I don't need to be talking about this. Let's just not," he said, "You're right,
let's don't even talk about this." So, we have
to set that watch, keep a watch over the door
of our lips and watch what we're speaking. James 1
19, it says, "But everyone be quick to
hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger." So, see
there's that slow, that restraint, that yield, yielding
to the Holy Spirit, yielding to his power,
leaning into him, leaning, "I feel really angry right now,
Holy Spirit and I'm asking you to help restrain this anger."
Amen? Sometimes you just have to pull back
away from people and situations until you get your
spirit-man right and lined up with the Holy Spirit
and allow him to just overwhelm you and
take over. And he just takes that anger, he takes that pain,
he takes that reaction and he keeps us restrained
so that we don't bring dishonor and
steal the glory away from the Lord. Amen? That we
we don't bring reproach on his
name and his reputation; that's important.
So we see that God restrains us. I was thinking of some ways
that he has restrained me and of course, in communication we've talked about
that and anger and temptation and
decisions. You know, sometimes you just wanna make decisions
based out of your emotions and the Holy Spirit says, "Whoa, whoa,
slow down, wait a minute." Um, we lived in Phoenix and
for six years and it would get to
115, 120 degrees in the summertime easy,
and I think the hottest it ever got was 120 degrees.
And I used to say, "You never wanna make the decision to move to
Phoenix or," I was saying this to all of my Phoenix friends out there,
you know I love you. But, "You don't wanna move to Phoenix or you
don't wanna move away from Phoenix in the summertime." Amen?
Because you don't wanna do it based out of your emotions,
you have to, but if the Lord tells you to move in the summer, then you gotta move in the summer.
You know, you don't wanna make major life decisions,
amen, out of your emotions. That's when the Holy
Spirit and his restraining force needs to come in
to play. Sometimes you can just say to him
"Holy Spirit, just help me to wait. Just help me just to rest in you
and to put it in your hands and trust you to work it out,
and I know you will." And he does every time.
He helps me sometimes
restraining on overeating. I was fretting over something
the other day and I had a bag of Cheddar
Lays Potato Chips and if it
hadn't of been for the restraining force of the Holy Spirit,
I probably would've sat there and eaten the whole bag!
(laughing) And so, I'm just
being real real with you right not. I like
potato chips and I really had
to have, I said, "Ok, Holy Spirit, help me here! Restrain me, what am I doing!"
What am I doing? I had to think about it, I rolled up the bag and I put it in the
pantry and walked off and said, "Ok, thank you Lord, you just saved me
about 1,000 calories." But you know, even in eating
and overeating and that kind of thing. Even is our dress,
dressing modestly, dressing for the glory of God.
We need a restraint there, amen? Some of our young girls
watching me today, you know, we
we have to dress with modesty! And so, there has to be
a restraining force there even in fashion
to help us to bring glory and honor to the Lord.
The other day I had on a t-shirt that said,
"Just Jesus." And I went into Publix and the person
in front of me was kind of, it was aggravating, there was a situation that was going
on and I looked down and I realized
I had on a shirt that said "Just Jesus" and it was like the Holy Spirit
checked me, he said, "You better act right, you better not be looking funny, you
better not be having, you know, evil looks on your face
or rolling your eyes. You got a Just Jesus t-shirt
and you gotta represent!" Amen? Isn't that sad that it took a t-shirt
to get me in check but you know that's a restraining force
of the Holy Spirit. In social media,
in driving, in texting, in all of that. You know, now we
have a law in Georgia that says you can't, you have to have hands free.
I have to put my phone away and just allow the Holy Spirit to
restrain me from thinking I even need to look it! Amen?
That's how dependent we ne-, some of you may be saying, "Well, that's silly.
Why do we need the Holy Spirit for that, isn't that common sense?" I hear ya!
But you know what? That is how
intimate and how dependent on the Holy Spirit
he wants us to become; that we are dependent on him for every
move and to restrain us when we're getting out of
line and getting ourself into trouble. In social media
people all the time, just gonna make their point and they're just gonna just, you know,
blast everybody and tell everybody off. And you know,
we've all had that, you know, trigger happy, we just
wanna get on there and just say our mind! Well we need the
restraining of the Holy Spirit to think about, you know, how
is this, to pray over it, to brood over
it, to wait, to say, "Holy Spirit, is this really what you want me
to say? Is this really what you want me to text? Is this really
what I need to be doing with my time?" Amen! And so, all of these
things come when we draw upon that restraining
force of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 2 and 8
talks about how God, Jesus, has put everything into
subjection, I love that word, under his feet.
That's an example of a restraining force
where things in this earth, seen and unseen, are under the
subject, the restraint, of the Holy Spirit.
In Matthew 26
this is when Peter cut off the
ear of the soldier, he drew his sword,
think about this, and Jesus said,
he looked at Peter, he said, "Put your sword back in its place
for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword." He said,
"Do you not think, Peter, that I cannot appeal to my
Father and he will once put at my disposal more than
12 legion of angels?" And I heard that's thousands and
thousands and thousands of angels; I don't know the exact number.
Our theologians watching may know that but,
that's an example of the restraint of Jesus.
You know, he could've wiped them all out. Amen?
Just when he even said, "I am he," when they came to get him in the garden
they fell backwards under the power. Amen!
But Jesus was restrained at that time
2 Peter 3 and 9 says,
"The Lord is not slow about his promise as some
would count slowness, but he is patient,
He is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish
but for all to come to repentance. The Lord is slow to anger
and great in power." And you know, patience is one of the fruit
of the spirit, we're gonna take every one of those fruit and we're gonna break them
down. Oh yes! We're gonna, and I hope you'll be with us because we're gonna look at
them and we're gonna learn and grow so much! I can't wait for that!
But it says here
the Lord is slow to anger, the Lord
even in Nahum 1 and 3, the Lord is slow to
anger and he is great in power. He could wipe out the
sin on the earth like that (snaps her fingers).
You know, just like he did the flood, with Noah, but he gave the rainbow
as a sign of his promise that he would never do that again.
He's restrained his anger, he has held back his anger
from destroying us because he is a merciful God!
And if you're watching today and you have never given your
life to Jesus Christ and you've waited and waited and waited; what are
you waiting for? Amen! Today is your day!
Don't hold back any longer; that's one area you don't wanna restrain
yourself is from running to Jesus. Let yourself
go and come to him and give your life to Jesus Christ
and ask the Holy Spirit, "Holy Spirit,
I can't even trust myself from doing the right thing.
I can't trust myself from not just running off at the mouth
and saying whatever comes to my mind. I need your
help!" Amen? " I need your restraint!" And you know
the Holy Spirit's not gonna hold that back from you; he's gonna help you and
strengthen you and you're just gonna be changed in his Word as you
read his Word, being transformed. And you know,
some people think, "Well, if I'm restrained by the Holy Spirit, what's
fun about that? I can't have fun and party and enjoy
my life." Do you know that in Acts Chapter 2
when all the disciples were gathered and the Holy Spirit was poured out
upon that prayer meeting that people thought they were drunk?
And Peter stood up and said, "These men
are not drunk as you suppose." Amen!
Because they're having so much fun and enjoying the presence of the Holy
Spirit so, so much. You know,
there's freedom in Christ; but yet he restrains
us from those things that will bring death and destruction
and harm to our life. Hallelujah!
Hallelujah, what a Savior that he has given us the precious Holy
Spirit! And you know, no matter how much we know, or think we know,
about the Holy Spirit, there's always more. And we're just gonna take this
study as long as the Lord will allow and direct
and lead us and learn about the Holy Spirit
his gifts, his fruit, his attributes, how he
leads us; some of our programs coming up are gonna be so amazing
about how the Holy Spirit leads us.
And you're just going to just grow so much, we're gonna grow together
in him and in his knowledge. I wanna thank you for joining Always More.
I wanna encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ
and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you fresh today. And I agree
with you now that the Lord will bless you and keep you and fill you with his Holy Spirit
and use you for his glory, and we give God all the praise!
Thank you for joining us and I look forward to seeing you again
on Always More. God bless you!

3.8 Negotiation Is Key To Getting What You Want - Duration: 3:01.
You know Arthur I
Hae often, am very straight and direct with people to be honest with you I
feel that that's part of being authentic for me and
If somebody is being negative in my life and
weighing me down or influencing me in a way that I don't want my life to go I
Often will have the conversation with them and see if there's another way that we can interact
And if there's an thickness she said before negotiate what you want, and if there's a way for us to interact differently
That then serves me
Otherwise I then keep them at bay
But I like to give everybody the opportunity to know where I'm at and to renegotiate the relationship at any point in time
And I think that relationships need to be negotiated all the time as we constantly grow and I think that too many people
Run away from the opportunity to negotiate and I would encourage you to think about your negotiation skills
If you're in sales or in leadership, or you are a parent, or you're in any relationship?
You're constantly negotiating and it really comes down to being able to ask for your needs
Since get your needs met, and so I would be concerns that if you're not willing to negotiate
Then you are somebody who's not willing to ask to get their needs met
And then I would want to have a conversation with you about your self esteem and confidence what that's about where are you scared and?
What are you hiding?
Because we all deserve to get our needs met
And I like to come from the thinking that people want you to get your needs met
But they need to know and if you don't
Inform people of what your needs are and how they're not meeting them, and how they can meet them
Then how can they even step up to the plate? Yeah, it's a great question
I mean, so you know you're gonna have big clients in my opinion
You're gonna have big clients are gonna spend a lot of money with you and perhaps that big client who spends a lot of money
With you usually necessarily you want to spend a lot of time with so you're asking me
So how do you manage that pretty much so I?
Find the ways I can enjoy my time with them, and then I build my relationship around that
and I try to find common ground in ways that I can make it work, and there are some times I
Have experience with clients that I don't love to be honest with you
But I try not to put myself in an environment or in a situation
That doesn't serve me in some way so for example
I wouldn't necessarily go out clubbing with every single client because it just wouldn't work for me
But I also might have a really hard time sitting for two hour dinner with a certain client, but I could
Well, yeah, I aren't gonna take that same client
But I could maybe make that client walk on the beach with me for two hours, and that would really work
Well, so I try to find the activity with that particular client that I could enjoy and then I try to do that
