Daniel Ricciardo quits Red Bull: What now for the F1 driver market?

Daniel Ricciardo's shock decision to quit Red Bull for Renault will have immediate and unexpected repercussions in the F1 driver market.

As recently as this midweek following the two-day test at Hungary, Ricciardo had indicated a new deal with Red Bull was imminent.

But his switch to Renault scuppers expectations Esteban Ocon was on the cusp of moving to the French team in 2019 from Force India.

And that, in turn, has seemingly put a block on predictions Lance Stroll will leave Williams for Force India at the end of 2018 - although that could still happen if, as suggested, Sergio Perez leaves Force India.

Renault have confirmed Nico Hulkenberg will be staying on to partner Ricciardo.

That means Carlos Sainz will be moving on, with the Spaniard expected to join McLaren - either as a replacement for compatriot Fernando Alonso or as his boyhood hero's team-mate following Stoffel Vandoorne struggles this year.

Red Bull, meanwhile, say they will now 'evaluate the numerous options available to us before deciding on which driver partners Max Verstappen for the 2019 season.

One possibility is that Sainz, contracted to Red Bull and effectively on loan at Renault, will return to his parent team.

But his combustible relationship with Verstappen during their two years together at Toro Rosso is thought to be a significant obstacle, making Toro Rosso's Pierre Gasly the early favourite to fill Ricciardo's seat for 2019.

Rappers in Paris airport brawl to remain in custody for a month

Rappers in Paris airport brawl to remain in custody for a month.

Two of France's biggest rap stars were on Friday ordered to spend a month in custody after a brawl between them and their entourages delayed flights and forced a partial shutdown of a Paris airport.

The beef between Booba and Kaaris at Orly airport kicked off on Wednesday in a departures hall packed with holidaymakers, some of whom filmed the incident on their phones as the rivals fought across shelves of perfume and souvenirs at a duty-free store.

A French judge on Friday said "persistent animosity between the two groups" and the risk of further altercations meant the rappers and nine others should remain in detention until the next hearing on September 6.

"What happened is inexcusable, regrettable," Booba said during the hearing, making reference to the travelling families, working people and children who were there at the time.

Kaaris said that "everything is over, everything is calm" now.

The two rappers, who had been due to perform Wednesday evening in Barcelona, have waged a feud over social media where some users mocked the duo and called on them to settle differences through fighting.

Booba, 41, has reportedly fallen out with Kaaris, 38, in the past after failing to support him in a dispute with fellow French artist Rohff.

Rohff was sentenced in November to five years in jail for aggravated assault in a clothes boutique owned by Booba.

Kaaris' lawyers Arash Derambarsh and Yacine Yakouti claim the rapper was "taken aside by Booba, who insulted his child and his wife", before several people "jumped on him".

He added the assailants used perfume and glass bottles as weapons.

Booba's lawyer Yann Le Bras responded by telling BFM TV the video footage showed it was Kaaris and his group whose behaviour had been "very aggressive".

Orly airport said the fight had damaged Orly's image, "endangered the lives of others", and it was lodging a public order complaint after the ruckus forced officials to temporarily shut down the departures hall.

Air France has also made a complaint.

Fourteen people were initially placed in police custody on Wednesday afternoon, with two released on Thursday morning.

The detainees face up to seven years in prison and a fine of 100,000 euros. .

Eden Hazard asks Maurizio Sarri for permission for extra day off before Chelsea return - Duration: 2:26.

Eden Hazard asks Maurizio Sarri for permission for extra day off before Chelsea return

Eden Hazard has sought permission from Maurizio Sarri to report late for Chelsea duty.

The Belgium international has had an extended period away after finishing third with his nation at the World Cup.

He will not play any part in Chelsea's Community Shield showdown with Manchester City on Sunday, and recently spoke with new manager Sarri ahead of his return.

The Chelsea head coach has admitted the pair did not speak about Hazard's future, despite ongoing links with Real Madrid.

Hazard's current deal at the club is set to expire in 2020, though Sarri revealed the only thing discussed was the player's request to return to training late.

"We didn't talk about this," the Italian said when asked about the playmaker's future.

"We talked only about 'can I arrive on Monday instead of Sunday?'.

"In this moment there is no problem for Hazard.

Sarri has made clear since his arrival a desire to keep the club's top talent at Stamford Bridge, with fellow first-team players Willian and Thibaut Courtois also linked with moves away.

The 59-year-old did not reveal whether he had granted Hazard permission for the extended time away, though it does now appear the player will be reporting back a day later than planned.

Chelsea will face City at Wembley before opening their Premier League campaign with a trip to Huddersfield on Saturday, August 11.

Ibushi vows to make the G in G1 stand for Golden as the Golden Star shines bright in Osaka!! - Duration: 3:58.

For the first time in Osaka, I have a chance on the mic.

I will make another promise, right now, in Osaka...

When I return to Osaka, it will be as the winner of G1.

Thank you for your support.

Anyway... I gave it my all.

I did.

In truth, I did say I wouldn't overthink this G1,

Even though I did say that,

Somewhere in my mind, I realized exactly what I was doing...

So after that...

I think I've changed.

G1 has forced me to take the next step.

And more than anything…

I'm most grateful about...

Beating Naito.

Beating Tetsuya Naito is the biggest thing for me.

It's not only about wins and losses,

But...

But, I am victorious, today.

What am I now, 3 and 2?

Currently, you are 5 and 2.

What about Naito?

Naito is 5 and 2 now, also.

Your history with him, it is 3 to 2, for Naito.

3 to 2, right?

Yes.

But that doesn't matter, anyway.

I've declared that I'll win this G1.

So I will win it all.

I can't talk... I can't...

It's tough to speak.

Too crazy.

Kenny lost today...

Did he?

Yes.

And now we are closer to that match between you two…

I bet you're looking forward to it...

I won't think about it, until it's time.

The key to winning G1 is not looking past anything.

I won't do that. When is my next match? I don't know...

Zimbabwe president calls for unity as opposition cries foul - Duration: 7:09.

Zimbabwe president calls for unity as opposition cries foul

Zimbabwe president calls for unity as opposition cries foul.

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called for unity in the wake of allegations his election victory was tainted by fraud, hailing the vote as a fresh start for the country after the repressive rule of Robert Mugabe.

As defeated opposition leader Nelson Chamisa decried the official results as a sham, Mnangagwa, a former Mugabe ally, defended the vote.

"With the eyes of the world on us we delivered a free, fair and credible election," Mnangagwa told reporters on Friday.

He added that while "no democratic process is flawless", Zimbabwe's first post-Mugabe election was a far cry from the fraud-tainted polls seen during Mugabe's 37 years in power.

His plea for unity came after allegations of foul play sparked a deadly crackdown on protesters in Harare on Wednesday when troops opened fire, killing six.

Mnangagwa, who is seeking to end Zimbabwe's international isolation and attract badly needed foreign investment, said he would set up an independent commission to investigate the bloodshed.

The United States on Friday said the election was marred by violence in the aftermath of the vote and called on the winner to show "magnanimity" and the opposition to show "graciousness in defeat".

Final results showed Mnangagwa won 50.8 percent of Monday's vote against Chamisa's 44.3 percent -- a knife-edge 0.8 percent above the threshold needed to avoid a run-off.

But Chamisa has insisted he was the winner of an election he condemned as "fraudulent, illegal, illegitimate".

"We are not accepting fake results," he said, vowing to challenge the results through the courts.

'Open for business'  Mnangagwa stretched out a hand to Chamisa, telling him: "You have a crucial role to play in Zimbabwe's present and in its unfolding future."   Mnangagwa was allegedly involved in state violence during the 2008 elections when then opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai pulled out of the run-off after at least 200 of his supporters were killed in attacks.

Apart from Mugabe, who ruled with an iron fist since independence from Britain in 1980 until last year, he is the only president that Zimbabwe has known.

Chosen to lead the ZANU-PF party in November after the brief military intervention that deposed Mugabe, Mnangagwa had promised a free and fair vote to turn the page on years of brutal repression.

Mugabe left Zimbabwe's economy in disastrous shape, presiding over the seizure of white-owned farms and hyperinflation, and Mnangagwa has made investment a priority.

"Zimbabwe is now open for business," he told reporters.

"We want to leapfrog and catch up with other developing countries." Charles Laurie of analysts Verisk Maplecroft said that after taking over from Mugabe, "Mnangagwa's task was not just to win the election, but to convince the international community of a new Zimbabwe by winning it cleanly and fairly.

"The killing of six protestors and questions over his government's conduct at the polls, means Mnangagwa drags virtually all of Mugabe's baggage into his presidency," he added.

'A new Zimbabwe'?   President Cyril Ramaphosa of neighbouring South Africa was the first key partner to congratulate Mnangagwa, calling on all Zimbabweans to accept the result.

Chamisa has alleged flagrant vote-rigging under the Zimbabwe Election Commission, a body which under Mugabe was frequently accused of helping to fix elections in favour of ZANU-PF.

"Mr Mugabe was at least sophisticated," Chamisa complained.

ZEC officials have robustly denied allegations of bias or rigging, and international observers have largely praised the conduct of election day itself.

But EU monitors said that Mnangagwa, who enjoyed tacit military support and control of state resources, benefited from an "un-level playing field".

The Zimbabwe Election Support Network, a non-partisan observer group, estimated Chamisa could have won up to 47.8 percent of the vote based on its monitoring work.

Chamisa urged opposition supporters to refrain from violence as he pursues the legal route -- though such a challenge appears to offer opposition party MDC little hope of overturning the outcome.

Soldiers and police came out in Harare in force on Thursday after the deadly unrest, clearing the city centre, but by Friday the streets and markets were crowded as usual.

In the suburb of Mbare, jubilant ZANU-PF supporters waved party banners as music blared from a car.

"This is a new Zimbabwe, we are happy," said Tendai Mugadzi, a 32-year-old IT specialist.

He was untroubled that Mnangagwa had won by a wafer-thin margin.

"It just shows that this was a free and fair election," he said.

ZANU-PF also won a large majority in parliamentary elections held alongside the presidential vote.

On Saturday, 21 people arrested during a raid on MDC headquarters are due to appear in court in Harare charged with "public violence" during post-election protests. .

Benefits of Eating Fruit for Breakfast - Duration: 8:48.

Benefits of Eating Fruit for Breakfast

What do you usually have for breakfast? Just a sad cup of coffee? Or do you leave the house without eating a single bite of food? Well, if this is the case, you probably feel pretty tired by mid-morning, lacking the energy you need to get through the day.

Eating a poor breakfast or completely skipping breakfast are two very bad habits that many people are forced into due to a lack of time.

However, we can assure you that one of the best options out there for leaving the house with a healthy meal in your stomach is to eat fruit for breakfast.

Fruits provide you will all the vitamins that you need, and they are a quick and easy way to prepare a delicious breakfast.

Want to know more? Let us show you.

The huge benefits of eating fruit for breakfast.

Eating fruit for breakfast isn't only beneficial for women, but it's also great for seniors and kids.

However, we are fully aware that a single apple, banana or a bunch of grapes may seem a bit boring to most people.

None of these options sounds too great, and a cup of coffee with a nice chocolate pastry sounds much more appetizing.

Nonetheless, turning to these types of sweets in the morning can be dangerous for your health.

Why? Well, they don't provide you with any nutrients, only calories.

They don't fill you up, and they force you into eating something just half an hour afterwards because you already feel hungry and need more energy.

Read more to figure out why it's so important to always eat a piece of fruit in the morning instead of the classic cookies or industrial pastries that so many people turn to:.

Think about the fact that your stomach has been empty for the last 6 to 8 hours.

You can just "fill it up" with whatever you find in the pantry, especially not with a high-calorie and high-fat food like a piece of cake or a pastry that looks so good first thing in the morning.

These foods take the body a long time to process and, instead of nourishing you, they end up making you feel hungry without providing you with the healthy energy you need.

Fruit, on the other hand, is rich in a type of sugar that the body is very good at assimilating, and which is great for nourishing your brain early in the day.

Remember, your brain needs about 20% of the total energy you use up throughout the day, and glucose is an essential fuel for many of its most basic functions.

So, fruit is a great food to get your body going in the morning, as well as one that is very easy to digest.

Fruit is also rich in water, fiber, vitamins and minerals, which will help you stay hydrated throughout the day and prevent constipation.

This is a perfect way to start out the day.

However, remember that you should always complement your fruit with some kind of protein or slow absorption carbohydrate, such as those found in cereals.

That way, you will achieve a healthy, varied and balanced nutrition plan.

What are the best fruits to include in your breakfast?.

Having fruit for breakfast is one of the best ways to start out your day, but… Which fruits are best? Take a look at the fruits that you should definitely have hanging around your kitchen:.

Grapefruit. Red grapes.

Oranges. Tangerines. Kiwi. Strawberries.

Bananas. Pineapple.

Watermelon. Cantaloupe. Peaches. Pears.

Apples. Plums. Raspberries. Cherries.

Healthy and unique ways to eat fruit in the morning.

A bowl of oatmeal with 5 chopped strawberries and half of a kiwi.

A bowl of natural greek yogurt with chopped cantaloupe.

One glass of grapefruit juice.

A spinach salad with pieces of pineapple and walnuts.

One glass of orange juice.

A glass of natural pear juice.

A bowl with chopped watermelon, cantaloupe and 3 ground almonds on top.

One orange, peeled and chopped, with two tablespoons of honey.

One cup of green tea.

A bowl of oatmeal with two tablespoons of greek yogurt, along with one chopped plum.

A glass of natural apple juice.

A sliced banana with honey.

A glass of natural apple juice with one tablespoon of brewer's yeast.

One slice of rye bread with a few slices of turkey breast and a slice of pineapple.

A glass of natural pear juice.

A glass of strawberry water, plus one bowl of chopped cantaloupe, walnuts and raisins.

One tangerine, one tortilla with spinach and a glass of pomegranate juice.

A bit of prosciutto with a slice of chopped jam.

A glass of natural orange juice.

In conclusion, we know that you often don't have time in the morning to sit down for a complete breakfast.

However, most of these recommendations don't even require you to turn on the stove.

You just have to peel your fruit, chop it into pieces and use your blender to make a fresh fruit juice.

If you put a little bit of effort into it, you will definitely be happy with the results.

Eating fruit for breakfast will improve your digestion, make you feel fuller and put you in a better mood.

Plus, if you include a bit of protein with your fruit, such as an egg or a few slices of chopped ham, you will be able to achieve a balanced meal that will help you get to lunchtime without snacking.

Try it!.
