Daniel Ricciardo explains decision to quit Red Bull for Renault - Duration: 5:22.

Daniel Ricciardo explains decision to quit Red Bull for Renault

Daniel Ricciardo says he is quitting Red Bull at the end of the season because he needs a "fresh start somewhere else".

In a shock move that wrongfooted the F1 paddock as well as Red Bull, Ricciardo has signed a two-year deal with Renault for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Speaking about his decision for the first time publicly, Ricciardo said on a video blog: "It was by far the toughest decision I've made in my racing career but in 29 years living on this Earth, it was actually one of the toughest life decisions I've made.

"I felt it was a time now where it was good for me to move on and have a fresh start somewhere else.

I think it will be healthy for me - so excited for what lies ahead with Renault.".

The deal that nobody saw coming.

Ricciardo had been expected to re-commit to Red Bull after Mercedes re-signed Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas for 2019 while Charles Leclerc is the overwhelming favourite to replace Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari if the Finn isn't retained.

"Not every door has closed but it is looking more and more likely that the other [top] teams will remain with their line-ups," Ricciardo said at the British GP.

"If it wasn't Red Bull, they [Mercedes and Ferrari] are the two most attractive options.

So if they are not possible it's hard for me to be convinced there is a better option than Red Bull.".

Although McLaren, who believe they were "pretty close" to signing Ricciardo after offering the 29-year-old a sizeable pay rise, Renault were thought to be no more than an outside option for the Australian.

Ricciardo's own public pronouncements had also strongly indicated he was set to re-sign with Red Bull.

Having said at Silverstone "it is obviously looking more and more likely I will remain", Ricciardo told reporters as recently as Wednesday after testing in Hungary: "It will definitely be done by Spa.".

The 'it', however, turned out to be something very different.

According to reports, Christian Horner was so surprised by Ricciardo's decision the Red Bull boss initially thought his driver was joking when Ricciardo phoned on Thursday night to inform him he was switching to Renault - Red Bull's long-time engine suppliers but who have been dropped for 2019.

Will Ricciardo's gamble prove a good move?.

Sky F1's Martin Brundle has described Ricciardo's switch as a "bold" move and "a bigger risk" than the gamble Lewis Hamilton took in 2012 when he decided to leave McLaren for Mercedes.

But in quotes attributed to him by Renault, Ricciardo said: "I realise there is a lot ahead in order to allow Renault to reach their target of competing at the highest level but I have been impressed by their progression in only two years, and I know each time Renault has been in the sport they eventually won.

What now for the F1 transfer market?.

Ricciardo's shock decision to quit Red Bull for Renault - where he will partner Nico Hulkenberg in 2019 - will have immediate and unexpected repercussions in the F1 driver market.

If he doesn't return to parent team Red Bull as a replacement for Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz is expected to join McLaren.

But Riccardo's transfer to Renault scuppers expectations Esteban Ocon was on the cusp of moving to the French team for 2019 from Force India.

Samantha Markle Slams Meghan for Not Sending Their Dad a Card | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:39.

Samantha Markle Slams Meghan for Not Sending Their Dad a Card | Heavy.com

Another day means more drama for Meghan Markle, as her step-sister, Samantha, has slammed her on social media once again.

As the Duchess of Sussex spent her 37th birthday at a wedding with her husband, Prince Harry, Samantha decided to take to Twitter to slam "Meg" for not reaching out to their father, Thomas Markle, on his birthday.

Samantha Markle took a moment out of her day to wish her sister a happy birthday, but the message came with a twist of the knife.

"Happy birthday, Meg! It would be so lovely and appropriate for you to send DAD a BELATED birthday card for his July 18," Samantha tweeted, sending an @ reply to Kensington Palace, according to the Daily Mail.

Meghan Markle has had a difficult relationship with her family, especially her father Thomas, for months.

He was supposed to walk her down the aisle at her wedding back in May, but some health issues kept him from traveling across the pond.

Since then, Thomas Markle has given a few less-than-nice interviews, and has spoken out about his relationship (or lack thereof) with his daughter.

Samantha Markle has also thrown some serious shade Meghan's way — but this isn't anything new.

Last year, The Sun reported that Samantha Markle tweeted something "unprovoked" after the former Suits actress wrote the article, "How Periods Affect Potential" for Time Magazine.

The tweet was posted in response to tennis pro (and dear Meghan Markle pal) Serena Williams, who tweeted her support for Meghan, praising the article as "inspiring.

"But what did she donate to them to make real change come about? Money for toilets, maxi pads, or just a photo op?" Samantha Markle tweeted in reply.

Another Twitter user mentioned Meghan's job as an actress, to which Samantha Markle responded, "You mean the 'job' on 90210?".

Things certainly haven't gotten any better for Meghan Markle, who reportedly doesn't have a relationship with her father or her step-sister at this time.

As previously reported by Heavy, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might be taking some time away from the spotlight for a bit, as the media continues to have a field day with all of this ongoing family drama.

5 Tips for Winning a "Bidding War" on a House - Duration: 7:43.

Hi everyone. This is your Tampa Bay realtor Lance Mohr and in this video

I'm going to give you 5 tips to win in a bidding war on a home. So whether

you want to call one a bitty more multiple offer situation it doesn't make

any difference it's all the same so tip number one is to write a clean contract

if you don't need certain things in the contract don't put them in let me give

you an example let's say in the MLS that says they're offering the refrigerator

washer and dryer of course it's okay to put refrigerator washer and dryer per

the MLS but if they're not offering it I wouldn't put that in because they're

telling you they don't want to give it to you the second thing is if you don't

need closing cost and you just want closing cost I probably wouldn't put

that in either now you could have your agent explain everything to the other

agent but a lot of things just muddy up the contract if you start putting too

many layers a lot of other things are saying home warranties or putting you

did you get to pick the title company which isn't normal that a buyer does

take the title company so just make sure your agent right to clean contracting

keeps everything simple for the other side tip number two is to have your

realtor present the offer actually pick up the phone and call the agent and

present the offer a lot of times I get agents and what they'll do is they'll

just send me offer via email I don't get a phone call I don't get a text so if

you see a home you really like your Riveter should always be calling the

listing agent and say hey I have a buyer that's interested in the property do you

have any offers on the table and if they don't then great but if they do you need

to know this because you want to put your best foot forward and the reason is

you might have someone that just sees the offer they want and just grabs it

immediately so your agent needs to pick up the phone and make

munication with the other side and let them know that you're ready will an

enable buyer that likes their home tip number three and I know this sounds a

little funny but you need to do this because it actually works and that's

write a letter to the seller write a handwritten letter you can type

it I would go handwritten if they could read your writing

telling the seller how nice their home is how much you like their own how much

you can't wait to get in their home and move in and meet the neighbors it makes

people feel really good people like to talk about their kids people like to

talk about their home so make them feel good in write a letter again I know this

sounds silly but I've had my buyers do this before and the sellers have loved

it I've been on the listing side and I've

seen buyers who have done this on that side of it and I give it to the sellers

and the sellers love it so do it it's certainly not going to hurt take about

five ten minutes of your time to send the letter to your realtor have your

realtor presented with the offer tip number four is if you're getting a loan

have your lender call the listing agent call the reorder on the other side

whenever I'm in a multiple bid situation I got to tell you I am really really

really competitive I hate I mean I absolutely hate for my buyers to lose

the home I don't want to work with them a buyer for a week or a month or even a

day and they find whom they like and they can't get it so I pull out

everything and one thing I do is I have my lender Jeff pick up the phone he

called the other agent because there's a lot of buyers out there and they're just

getting pre-approvals over the internet and at the end of the

day it's really important to be able to talk to a lender on the listing site I

always call the loan officers for the buyer I want to see where they are so

have your lender call the listing agent tell them how qualified you are and how

great you are and you're what or to buying the home it's gonna go a

long way because it's very important that you're qualified for the loan

because if for some reason the whole deal blows up it's going to put egg on

the listing agents face so have your lender call them up it's great I always

do this on every one tip number five at an escalation clause now some states I

hear don't don't allow escalation clauses so ask your Realtor if the state

you're in allows an escalation clause if they say what's that all right I have to

admit you have a problem is they don't know but this is like the Holy Grail if

you're planning on winning a bid anymore because let's just use the number say

three hundred and fifty thousand so you're a three hundred and fifty

thousand and you would go as high as say three seventy-five but you don't want to

go as high as three seventy-five because what happens if you want for 375 and

someone else only offered 360 move that's a big problem so an escalation

Clause is a way you could have your cake and eat it too what it is it's a clause

it's very carefully written into the contract that will escalate the price so

you'll start off at say 350 you'll have a maximum of 375 and it will escalate

the price of the home with every offer and then you just ask for ask for proof

in writing at the end now there are some agents that will get very confused and

so know what this is I have ran across it but it's very rare because most

agents even if they don't know what it is they don't want to admit what it is

so when your real estate agents when your real estate agent puts this

escalation clause into the contract they always want to explain it to the other

agent so the other agent fully knows and understands how it works again I hear

they're states that don't allow this Florida does so make

sure you talk to your agent because it's a great way I mean again if you go in at

350 and your maximum is three hundred and seventy five thousand and let's say

someone the highest offer is three sixty you might be paying 361 or 362 or just

depending on how it's written up so that's a heck of a lot better than

paying 375 so let me know what tips you found the most useful did you find one

of them did you find two of them let me know that leave it in the comments below

if you like this video please give me a thumbs up and share it on social media

to your friends I wish you the best of luck if you're in the Tampa area the

Tampa Bay area I would love to help you have a wonderful day

you

Sandilands will bide his time battling for Orlando Pirates' place in the posts - Duration: 3:37.

Sandilands will bide his time battling for Orlando Pirates' place in the posts

Sandilands will bide his time battling for Orlando Pirates' place in the posts.

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands has fallen down the pecking order‚ but he's been in the game long enough to know not to throw in the towel.

From his days at Silver Stars‚ where he made his debut in the 2004-05 season‚ Sandilands remains in the top-flight‚ and hugely experienced‚ at 34.

His move from Mamelodi Sundowns to Pirates last year was welcomed by the Buccaneers' faithful.

Imagine their appreciation for Sandilands when he kept four clean sheets in his first five Absa Premiership matches‚ and conceded just one.

But soon Sandilands would battle an Achilles tendon injury and later on had to nurse his finger and subsequently missed 19 PSL matches.

"I obviously want to build on the start that I had [last season].

It was [later on] a difficult season with injuries‚" Sandilands said.

"I'm just looking forward to the upcoming season and knowing that the hard work still lies ahead.

I'm looking forward to improving and add to the history of the club." The Benoni-born shotstopper will battle it out with Siyabonga Mpontshane‚ Jackson Mabongwane and Brilliant Khuzwayo for that elusive lone position between the posts.

Though‚ new signing Brilliant Khuzwayo will have to wait a little longer for his debut due to an injury.

"Now that it's the new season the past is gone.

It's a matter of working on the road ahead‚" Sandilands said.

Khuzwayo has been ruled out for "three to four weeks"‚ the club has said‚ needing ankle surgery‚ meaning he will not be available for Pirates' opening Absa Premiership home fixture against Highlands Park at Orlando Stadium at 8.15pm on Saturday.

The Buccaneers have revealed that although the former Kaizer Chiefs keeper's injury is not serious‚ his treatment is more of a corrective measure to allow the player to endure a pain-free season with the team.

Khuzwayo will see an orthopaedic surgeon this week to remove screws in his ankle and to have a scope performed.

Attacking midfielders Thabo Qalinge and Thembinkosi Lorch will also miss a few of the opening matches of the season due to injuries. .

6 Best Foods for Women - Duration: 10:56.

6 Best Foods for Women

Is it true that women really need to eat different foods than men? After all, we're all human.

But surprising to some, the answer is yes.

Women have different nutritional requirements, and this is thanks to our level of activity, age, physiological needs, and individual characteristics.

Read on and in today's article you'll learn about the six best foods for women that should be included in their diet for better health!.

Whole grains.

Whole grains are rich in fiber and facilitate the proper function of the digestive system.

This is great news for women who have problems with digestion, gastritis, or colitis.

Some recommended foods are:. Brown rice.

Whole grains. Whole grain breads. Quinoa.

You can make your own whole wheat bread as well, avoiding the preservatives or other non-natural ingredients that are usually present in commercially available breads.

Here's a very simple recipe:.

Whole wheat bread.

This is an excellent bread for your daily diet.

One of the best advantages it has to offer is that it incorporates so many of the suggested changes we have for women today when it comes to food choices: reduced levels of sweeteners, you can add seeds and nuts, and it's easy to choose small portions.

Ingredients.

2 ½ teaspoons of instant dried yeast or 1 packet of active dried yeast, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of warm water.

1 1/3 cup of water (330 ml).

¼ cup of honey, molasses, or maple syrup (120 g).

3 ½ cups of whole wheat flour (437 g).

¼ cup skim milk powder (32 g).

1 ¼ teaspoon of salt (22 g). Preparation.

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir well until a dough begins to form.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly oiled surface, rub a little oil onto your hands, and knead the dough for six to eight minutes, or until it becomes soft and more elastic.

You can also use an electric mixer, food processor, or bread machine to knead the dough.

Once the dough is smooth and stretchy, form it into a ball and place it in a clean, lightly oiled bowl.

Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm, draft-free place for about 60 minutes while it doubles in size.

Arrange the dough into a greased loaf pan or one that has been lined with wax paper.

Bake the bread for 40 minutes at 350°, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Once the bread is done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool.

You can store the leftovers in a plastic bag or container to enjoy whenever you like.

Nuts.

Nuts are an excellent source of monounsaturated fats that help lower your cholesterol levels.

They provide protein, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, selenium, vitamin A, and vitamin E, making them one of your most beneficial dietary staples.

Of course, you do need to control how much you eat, because they're high in calories that can start to add up if you're not exercising regularly.

The ideal daily amounts are as follows:.

28 peanuts. 14 Brazil nuts. 7 cashews.

Bananas.

One of the eternal struggles that women face is the fight against fat, and you already know that the best weapon is to build more muscle.

This is where bananas and their benefits come in.

Because they're rich in potassium, bananas facilitate the building of muscle tissue and the recovery of fluids lost through sweat.

An average sized banana contains the same amount of carbohydrates as two pieces of bread, however, so it's best that you don't eat too many of both.

Soy protein.

You can find soy protein in foods like tofu, soy milk, soy butter, and cereals.

The minimum amount you should consume of this super food is 25 grams a day.

Among the many benefits of soy is its ability to decrease levels of bad cholesterol and increase your intake of phytonutrients.

An excellent option to start the day off right is the following smoothie:.

Energy smoothie. Ingredients.

6 strawberries.

2 cups of spinach (360 g).

1 cup of soy milk (200 ml). Ice.

Preparation.

Combine all the ingredients in your blender and process until smooth.

Drink immediately. Eggs.

There are a lot of myths today about consuming too many eggs.

Forget the notion that eating eggs will increase your levels of bad cholesterol.

One egg provides 215 milligrams of cholesterol, and you need to consume about 300 milligrams a day.

As for the yolk, it's actually an excellent source of iron and lecithins.

A healthy recipe for eggs is the following omelet:.

Fresh pepper omelet. Ingredients.

1 tablespoon of butter (30 g).

1 small onion, diced.

1 green pepper, chopped fine. 2 eggs.

1 tablespoon of milk (16 g).

Salt and pepper to taste.

1 slice of Swiss cheese, grated.

Preparation.

Melt the butter in a hot skillet.

Saute the onion and bell pepper in the butter.

Cook both for about five minutes or until tender.

While the onion and pepper are cooking, beat the eggs in a small bowl with the milk, pepper, salt, and grated cheese.

Remove the onion and pepper from the skillet and place them in a bowl.

Cook the egg mixture in the same skillet for about two minutes, or until it begins to firm.

Gently separate the egg mixture from the surface of the skillet, and top it with the onions and peppers as if it were a tortilla.

Fold one side of the egg mixture over the other.

Cook for another minute, flip it, and remove the omelet from heat.

This recipe is ideal for one person, and you can substitute other vegetables for the pepper if you prefer.

A varied diet is your best friend.

The above foods should definitely be incorporated into your diet, but remember that variety is the key to success.

If you're pregnant or nursing, be sure to ask your doctor about what additional foods to include for you and your baby.

I saw below me that golden valley: This land was made for you and me.

Business as usual for Mamelodi Sundowns‚ says Hlompho Kekana - Duration: 5:57.

Business as usual for Mamelodi Sundowns‚ says Hlompho Kekana

Business as usual for Mamelodi Sundowns‚ says Hlompho Kekana.

It will be business as usual for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2018-19 Absa Premiership‚ with or without Percy Tau and Khama Billiat‚ the Brazilians' captain Hlompho Kekana has said.

Sundowns begin the defence of their championship against last season's third-placed finishers Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday (kickoff: 3pm).

A few weeks ago‚ on the back of a poor away defeats against Horoya and AS Togo-Port in Guinea and Togo in the Caf Champions League‚ and the loss of Tau to Premier League Brighton and Billiat to Chiefs‚ pundits were predicting a tough start in the PSL for rebuilding Sundowns.

Jeremy Brockie's first goal in six months‚ albeit unofficially in the preseason Shell Helix win against Chiefs‚ and then Uruguayan Gaston Sirino's dazzling display in last Friday's 2-1 Champions League win against Togo-Port‚ seem to change the complexion again.

Kekana‚ asked who Downs' biggest challengers to their title will be‚ did not pick out last season's runners-up Orlando Pirates‚ who have beefed up significantly in their technical staff and squad.

"I would say ourselves‚" Downs' skipper said.

"We can be our biggest challengers‚ because we can be wasteful in front of goals‚ and you cannot try to win the league or Champions League if you don't score goals.

"So we're still in the process of trying to build and trying to rectify some of the things in front of goals.

Because we have lost two important players‚ and we just want to try to fit in the new guys‚ to really show them how we play‚ and to challenge them that we need to finish goals." Sirino and Brockie's preseason positive signs could be crucial for Downs as they rebuild from the loss of Tau and Billiat.

"I think it's important‚ and a plus for us to really see those players raising their hands‚ showing that they're ready to be selected‚" Kekana said.

"It's a positive that we really need to stick on‚ and try to push them to the limit.

"I think we need them more than ever this season.

Because the people who we normally rely on are no longer with us.

Look‚ the sooner we gel the better." For Downs‚ a fifth pre-season with effectively no break due to their continental efforts will require all the coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical staff's usual juggling skills to maintain fitness and freshness.

It also meant Downs had little time in the off-season to take stock‚ and perform the necessary rebuilding.

"Well I think we've tried.

We had three weeks of camp in Rustenburg‚ and I think that was enough for us‚" Kekana said.

"We didn't have this privilege of preparation before.

So for us it's to try to adapt very quickly‚ because we don't have time on our side.

"We just have to try and do well for the club.

We've got a huge responsibility to represent the club well.

"We can't blame anybody – we just have to do the business for the club." PSL this weekend - Saturday: Mamelodi Sundowns v Kaizer Chiefs (Loftus Versfeld Stadium‚ 3pm) Bidvest Wits v Free State Stars (Bidvest Stadium‚ 6pm) Cape Town City v SuperSport United (Cape Town Stadium‚ 6pm) Black Leopards v Polokwane City (Peter Mokaba Stadium‚ 6pm) Orlando Pirates v Highlands Park (Orlando Stadium‚ 8.15pm) AmaZulu v Baroka FC (King Zwelithini Stadium‚ 8.15pm) Sunday: Maritzburg United v Lamontville Golden Arrows (Harry Gwala Stadium‚ 3pm) Bloemfontein Celtic v Chippa United (Dr Molemela Stadium‚ 3pm) .
