A Cup of This Tea IS The Best Remedy for Stress - Duration: 2:34.

Nowadays it's impossible to avoid stress.

Be it due to work, relationships, family, or even little things like traffic, we're

constantly exposed to situations that make us feel anxious and stressed out.

But we're wrong if we think that stress is bad for our health.

Stress is a natural defense against any external stimulation and is very important for our

survival.

When we're faced with a dangerous situation, our body produces adrenaline and cortisol,

which help it to be on high alert, and ready to react.

For example, if someone is feeling some extra pressure at work, their brain realizes it

and helps the person finish what they have to do in the best was possible.

Stress becomes bad for us when it's constant, and causes other symptoms such as exhaustion,

muscular tension, weird sleep schedules, a change in appetite or mood, etc.

So, if you're feeling stressed out, we have good news for you.

Do you like black tea?

British researchers have found that black tea lowers the cortisol levels in our blood,

relieving our symptoms by getting rid of the hormone responsible for the stress.

This study was performed on 75 people, divided into two groups.

One group drank black tea, while the other group took a caffeinated placebo that tasted

similar.

Each and everyone of the participants were subjected to stressful situations, and their

cortisol and blood pressure levels were monitored.

The group that drank black tea saw a much greater drop in cortisol levels than the group

that took the placebo.

Japanese scientists are also constantly studying tea's general benefits, and the specific

components that make their flavor and aroma so great for our health.

Another study was performed to determine how two different types of tea aromas affect physical

and psychological stress.

Japanese researchers concluded that the group that inhaled the black tea aroma had lower

levels of cromogranin-A, the biological marker used to measure stress levels.

So, next time you want to drink some black tea, remember to inhale its vapor for a few

minutes before drinking.

This simple habit can help you lower your stress levels and also improve your mood.

Ali Noura - Centre for Multicultural Youth // Violence Against Women - Duration: 2:31.

The Honourable Natalie Hutchins, and

the Minister for Youth Affairs, the Honourable Jenny Mikakos.

My speech today is to address the violence and abuse that women are facing on a daily basis,

but from the angle of the importance of personal connection and in particular the

need for a personal connection for young men in understanding this issue.

When we do not have a personal connection to any issue,

we don't feel motivated or have the drive to speak about it.

I recall back to the days at high school — where I went to an all boys school — when I viewed, in those days,

abuse of or violence against women as the exception or some statistic in the background.

It was only once I left high school, went to university and met amazing female colleagues

— many of my best friends now are some of the most amazing women in my life —

did I realise that this was not an exception.

For them, this was... I cannot think of a single woman in my life that has not expressed to me

that at one point in life they have been abused, harassed or assaulted.

Therefore - for me - I praise the immense work that has already gone into this issue, but I believe that

another path that this issue needs to be approached by is through this personal connection,

because young men right now feel no personal connection to the issue

and thus are not inspired or motivated to tackle violence against women.

I recall a few weeks ago, after the murder and rape of Ms Dixon, visiting two of my female

friends at their apartment and them discussing their need for personal defence training because of this.

As they bid me farewell as I was walking to the station, they said to call them to make

sure that I was alright and that I arrived safely.

And as I walked to the station, I recalled with tears down my face and anger that I had never

once in my life had the moment to realise what a privilege it was to simply walk down

the street without fear. I'd never thought of that.

Therefore I encourage the amazing women in my life and those here today to keep opening

themselves up about their experiences to their fellow colleagues, and also for young men and my

fellow male colleagues here today to continue to utilise empathy to understand their experiences

and that this is not an exception but sadly a norm for many women.

Best Foods For Upset Stomach - Stay Healthy - Duration: 4:45.

Best Foods For Your Upset Stomach!

Bananas ! Bananas are great to eat when you are feeling

nauseated or unwell because they are easily digestible.

When your tummy is hurting, bananas are a source of potassium, which is one of the nutrients

that your body can lose through vomiting and diarrhoea.

Bananas also contain pectin, which can help to firm up your stool if you are experiencing

diarrhoea.

Ginger ! If you are vomiting or dealing with bad nausea,

have some fresh ginger!

I know ginger can be quite a strong taste for some people, so my recommendation is to

boil a cup of water, put some freshly sliced ginger in it and add a squeeze of lemon juice

or honey, which can help to mask the flavour.

Alternatively, herbal tea with ginger can also help ease a sore stomach!

Ginger can be so helpful for boosting the immune system, so try to include it in your

diet regularly!

Add some to broth-based soups, like chicken soup, for a rehydrating, inflammation-fighting

dish.

Papaya!

Another great fruit to eat with an upset stomach is papaya (or as we sometimes call it in Australia,

paw paw).

Papaya is a rich source of proteolytic enzymes, which can help the digestive process.

Some of these enzymes such as papain and chymopapain can also help break down proteins and soothe

the stomach by promoting a healthy acidic environment.

Mint ! Mint is great to ease an upset stomach, especially

if you have eaten too much or are feeling a bit bloated.

Add some freshly torn leaves in a glass of water or brew a peppermint tea to help ease

your upset stomach.

I should point out, if you're dealing with reflux, mint might not be the best choice.

Stick to some of the other remedy foods on this list instead.

Yoghurt ! While certain types of dairy can be a source

of discomfort for some people, having some all-natural yoghurt when feeling nauseous

can help to restore balance in your stomach.

It is important to choose a plain yoghurt that still contains live/active cultures,

as these can help to restore the good bacteria in your gut.

The good bacteria can help aid your digestion too.

Bland foods such as rice, potatoes and toast !

If your stomach hurts because you have a virus or have been going to the toilet a lot, eating

bland and starchy foods can really help.

Rice, potatoes and toast are good because they don't put any added stress on your digestive

system if it's feeling a little sensitive.

They can also help to ease symptoms such as diarrhoea by absorbing excess fluids and hardening

your stool.

Fennel ! To ease an upset stomach, try eating fennel!

While it has a strong taste, fennel can help to relax the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and

aid digestion.

You can either eat a few fennel seeds or try popping some sliced fennel onto a couple of

plain crackers with a pinch of sea salt.

Oats ! When you're feeling queasy, a bowl of plain

oats can be really comforting.

Your body needs carbohydrates to function, so having some slow-releasing carbohydrates

in your system will help you keep your strength up.

Try sprinkling a little cinnamon on top of your oats too — cinnamon can help to break

up gas bubbles.

Settling an upset stomach ! Now you know what foods to eat with an upset

stomach!

Just remember not to force yourself to eat all of these foods if you aren't feeling

up to it.

I tend to stick with either a banana or a herbal tea with ginger and some toast when

my stomach has been hurting or I feel unwell.

Do what works for you!

Don't forget to stay hydrated when feeling sick or nauseous, girls!

If you have a wheat bag, I find this can really help ease the symptoms as well.

How to Use SQL to Query MongoDB - Studio 3T | The GUI for MongoDB - Duration: 1:27.

Good morning from Berlin: today we are going to use the SQL function in Studio3T to find data faster in a MongoDB collection.

So just highlight the collection we want to use,

hit the SQL query button,

and you'll find it defaults to a select all statement. So let's run the statement just to get a quick look at the data.

Pull up the panel and [exasperation] there's a bit too much information isn't there? Let's narrow it down.

Let's have the name field,

country field,

and birth year field as well.

And if we run that, it should simplify things a bit, and what-do-you-know it does!

But we know that we only want candidates from Germany and Texas, so let's add a 'where' clause.

And the where clause will select on? You guessed it, 'Germany' and 'Texas'. And that makes the information much, much neater.

And one last thing, let's order it by name in descending order.

That should help the zoom in on our candidate...

Ain't SQL Sweet?

And if you want you can edit in place to...

Ain't SQL Dandy.

If you like this short little video please subscribe and leave a comment letting us know what you'd like to see in upcoming videos.

That's it for today, thanks for watching and happy querying!

Logistics for a technique to avoid GvHD - Duration: 1:58.

So, interestingly, the procedure can be done in a central facility, so

people don't necessarily have to have at their centre the ability to treat the

cells. They simply can collect the peripheral blood cells, so cells that are

circulating in the blood, from the donor and this is done easily using what we

call an apheresis machine and therefore you collect the white blood cells and

the cells can be shipped to a manufacturing facility. The cells are

modified and returned to the center who then administers them to the patient. So

it's really a fairly simple process, and interestingly, what we saw as an obstacle

before is now becoming something that is quite acceptable and is going to be

routine. I think that we used to think that we it would be good only if we did

it in our own lab, and now with the whole field of CAR technology and antiviral

technology and anti leukemia, it's clear that everybody can now start to

produce their own cells, so if we want high-priority product we're going to

have to send out these cells to various manufacturing facilities, and since

you're you're asking about the future, I think that in a few years we could

imagine having machines where you actually put your graph and have an

automated process where all the regions come in, the cells are manipulated, and

all that process that's currently hands-on is fully automated, and in the

end you would get your cells treated. And that's not far-fetched because people

are working right now on this, which means in a few years, likely we'll be

there.
