Does 2 Timothy 3:16, the passage that says all Scripture's inspired, refer only

to the Old Testament or also to the New Testament to come? Let's see.

In 2 Timothy 3:16, Paul makes a statement about the authority of Scripture.

He says that all Scripture is God-breathed, inspired. It is given by God

for teaching, reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man

or woman of God might be complete and adequate for everything that God wanted

that person to do. Now, the question is, was that just applying to the Old

Testament Scripture, which had already been given, and Paul made reference to

just a few verses above. Well certainly applies to that. But notice what it says

is "all grafi" in the Greek – all the writings. All the writings that were

sacred Scripture. It turns out that there were more writings to come that the

apostles and the body of Christ would recognize as on par with the sacred

scriptures of the Old Testament. In fact, Peter says that some of Paul's writing

is hard to understand as is the rest of the scripture that people distort. So

he's grouping Paul's writings in there. There's another reference in the New

Testament where "the worker is worthy of his wages" and "don't muzzle the ox while

he's threshing," one of those references is to the Old Testament Scriptures, but

one is to a statement of Jesus that you find in the gospels. So clearly the

person quoting those passages was considering the writings of the gospels

on par with the Old Testament scriptures. So you have both in view. When Paul is

validating the authority of the God-breathed Scripture, he is not just

speaking of those sacred writings that had come before, but he's also including, or

leaving open the possibility, of sacred writings that will come later and the

New Testament period. And it turns out that Paul's own writing right there was

an example of that.

Just How Important Is Client Relationship Development? - Duration: 1:56.

I think when you're talking about client relationship development, a lot of people kind of miss

the mark.

They kind of think that the client relationship is a job well done.

While that is part of it, a lot of client relationship has to do with really good, well-developed

communication.

It's just like anything else, if you're communicating well...that is a natural trust builder.

It's amazing to me that when you communicate clearly.

You communicate effectively.

Here's another big thing: communication is not just you talking.

It's you listening.

So, when you are a really good active listener it makes the other party trust you even more

because they feel like they are being heard and listened to and considered.

That's huge in trust.

As a business owner, when we have our employees train to where they are effectively communicating

and communicating in the way that we want them to and listening and really solving our

client and customer problems, it is huge what that does for the business.

That's what brings people back.

And let me tell you, it is a lot cheaper to bring a customer back the second time than

it is for you to go get a customer the first time.

So, I would highly recommend you work on communication skills to build that value with

that customer and start building trust today.

Michael Kvium: There is you and the art piece - nothing more - Duration: 3:16.

There are no legs, there is no head, there are no arms.

But it is a system and in fact pretty close to how we function, and how this world is put together.

It's a sculpture in bronze, hanging way up the column,

and it's a kind of social system of something that we don't know.

But if we are looking at it for a moment, we can also see that, in fact, we know all the parts.

I mean there is nothing of these parts that we don't have in our body.

And I have just put it together as a social system without those kinds of features

that we normally put together with being a human person or being alive.

You can see it as kind of the next generation of us or the dinosaurs.

You are suddenly realizing that you are standing, looking at the architecture.

You are standing in a room, where there is something else.

I mean sometimes we forget that such a little thing can change a lot of things inside of us.

Probably, you feel a little disgusted by the way it is formed, or you probably get curious:

What is this? What do I mean?

Probably, you don't even think about the fact that you are doing all these things,

but, at the same time, I know this is what's going to happen,

and I think that's a very important thing during the whole life.

And especially when you are young. Don't ever take anything for granted.

You also have to look at the little cracks in the wall, you also have to look at the beautiful dress,

and realize my God, the trousers are becoming to small.

I mean, there are a lot of questions that are kind of training us to look at the big world around you.

For instance, our environment, our population of human beings, how we are using plastic,

I can mention a million of things that you don't think so much about

when you leave the super market with a plastic bag,

but you certainly think about it when you see oceans filled up with plastic.

So, I think I can train the eye and the senses for in fact observing those things that your brain probably don't want to see,

but to anyway see it and be brave enough to say: 'okay, this is a part of the world too.'

Do I like it, or don't I like it? Can I do something about it or can't I?

I think art is always one to one.

You can't share a piece of art - you can share a discussion later on about that piece of art.

And then it can be very important.

But what you sense and what you see that is you and the art piece - and nothing more.

So, in fact, what I would love them to see is how they react themselves, what happens to themselves.

Being Silent is About More than Just Not Speaking - Duration: 6:36.

Being Silent is About More than Just Not Speaking

Staying silent doesn't just mean being quiet.

This seemingly passive action goes much farther.

The absence of words doesn't mean that they disappear.

Sometimes, you might think that you stop communicating when you're silent.

However, in reality you are transmitting much more than you realize.

You're probably not aware of the amount of time you spend talking about things that don't make much sense, however.

This typically has one goal: to escape from various fears and insecurities.

Staying silent makes you feel alone.

Are you afraid of loneliness? Being silent is difficult because it makes you feel alone.

You might be used to being surrounded by noise or other people.

You have been taught to fear not having a family that supports you, people who love you, or friends who want to be with you.

That's why just thinking about the simple fact of disappearing into silence can lead to a spiral of terror.

Talking is how you distract yourself from this.

You spend time talking about the things you've done, what you're planning to do, or what you'd like to do.

Then, You communicate desires and frustrations.

You manifest everything through your words, but you never think about just being silent.

Remaining silent invites you to reflect and look inward.

As attractive as this idea is, however, it is also frightening.

Discover: Patience and silence: virtues of wise people.

Not only will you find solutions to your problems, like learning to be alone with yourself.

You'll also come face to face with the errors and mistakes you have made.

Showing only your best self.

The fear of solitude that makes you speak when you don't need to makes you show only your best self when you're with other people.

To do this, you communicate with words, because silence can lead others to think you have some sort of problem.

You put on a mask for others.

Sometimes, you even start to believe your own lies.

When you don't give yourself a single second to dive into your mind, it's a clear sign that there's something about yourself you don't like.

Do you feel happy? Who are you, really? These questions should bring a smile to your face and a quick and concise answer.

However, this is probably not the case.

When was the last time you truly enjoyed the moment you were living in?.

Words can help you hide everything that you must face, but it can give rise to panic.

Enjoy your silence.

You may have surprised yourself on multiple occasions by talking to yourself.

Perhaps this was when you were at home and no one else was around.

This is an attitude that you can't control.

Plus, it's a way of avoiding that terrible silence you hate so much.

Imagine, however, that you're in a dark, empty room and you can't get out until you manage to be truly silent.

At first it will be difficult.

You'll start talking to yourself, you'll cry, you'll scream…But in the end, you will grow weary.

You'll learn to be quiet when you've run out of words and have no choice but to enjoy your silence.

This is when you'll discover the following:.

You will be aware of the fear you have of being alone, but you'll also realize that you're not actually alone.

You have yourself!.

You'll stop blaming others for what happens to you and start taking responsibility for your past mistakes.

You'll get to know both your good and bad parts, and you'll understand them.

You'll see how useless it is to try to make everyone like you and be someone you are not.

You'll realize that authenticity is the best of everything.

Staying silent helps give you a reason to speak, to analyze your situations and yourself, to be aware of how you are going to react.

Many people do things without thinking because they're not used to the absence of words.

Silence enriches you.

Will you allow it to enter your life?.
