So, in Alabama it's not uncommon to hear people talking in whispered or angry

tones about The Machine. But what is The Machine? So basically The Machine is a

secret society at the University of Alabama with a really cool name that

controls the votes of certain sororities and fraternities.

It started back in the early 1900s on campus as a chapter of Theta Nu Epsilon,

a secret student group. But it's better known as The Machine, a nickname bestowed

by student journalists. It works like this: each Greek house that belongs to The

Machine has a couple of Machine representatives whose identities are

kept secret. Those representatives regularly meet in secret locations and

presumably talk about Game of Thrones or how much they hate Tennessee for about

15 minutes before deciding who to vote for in each of the student government

elections. Once they decide they go back to their Greek houses and basically tell

everyone in the fraternity or sorority to vote for that candidate. So it's

basically a voting bloc of certain Greek houses. And that on its face isn't really

that big of a deal. Voting blocs exists and lots of colleges have Greek councils

that tend to back certain student government candidates over others. But

where The Machine differs is some of the things they've been accused of doing to

secure those candidates a victory. They've been accused of harassment,

burglary, wiretapping, arson, and even assault to secure elections doing it all

from the shadows. They've even been accused of voter fraud in like real elections

not just college elections. And back when I said The Machine tells everyone in the

sororities or fraternities who to vote for what I should have said was coerces

everyone into voting for who they want. They do it by tempting them with free

drinks, demanding they turn over student IDs or social security numbers,

physically dragging some people to the polls, or as some have claimed just

straight-up voting for them. But the last University of Alabama student government

president ran on a platform of trying to get discounted uber rides for UA

students. The one before him wanted students to get cheaper soda at football

games. So it's understandable to think," Isn't that a crazy elaborate conspiracy

to attain what is essentially not that much power?" And you'd be right. It's the

equivalent of an entire small town forming a secret cult with the end goal

of getting Jeff an assistant manager job at Domino's. But picking college level

politicians is just the start for many members of The Machine. As I said the

organization goes all the way back to the early 1900s and over the century

members of the Machine have managed to wiggle their way into positions of power

all over the state. So being a member of The Machine

mean connections to powerful folks who also got their start in this weird

Hogwarts of evil politics. Which is why The Machine has been referred to by some

as the most powerful fraternity in America. Now I just touched on some of

the heavier accusations against The Machine but if you want to hear more you

Jim Parsons Is The Reason The Big Bang Theory Is Ending - Duration: 3:02.

The mega-popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end …. and it's all because

of Jim Parsons.

According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS and Warner Brothers TV decided to end Big Bang

in 2019, after learning that actor Jim Parsons, who plays theoretical physicist Dr. Sheldon

Cooper, wanted to leave the show.

"If anyone asks, tell them I was brave!"

And, since the series couldn't possibly be the same without Parsons' character, it was

reportedly determined that the series should finally see its close after 12 seasons on

the air.

EW notes that CBS tried negotiating a deal with Parsons to secure him for two more years,

which could have earned him more than 50 million dollars.

On August 22nd, 2018, CBS, Warner Bros., and Chuck Lorre Productions broke the news that

the series would end soon by releasing a joint statement, which read, in part,

"We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success

and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory

to an epic creative close."

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Parsons shared just how grateful he was to the show's writers,

crew, and cast, as well as its viewers, for being able to play Cooper for so long, writing,

"I feel such intense gratitude for our devoted viewers who are the ACTUAL reason we have

been graced with the opportunity to explore these characters for 12 years of our lives."

It's possible that Parsons simply wanted to move on from playing the same role that he'd

taken on for over a decade.

During his time on the show, he'd explored new opportunities, performing on Broadway

in The Boys in the Band and starring in a number of movies, including The Muppets and

Hidden Figures.

"I can't help it.

I feel like a teen heartthrob."

It could also be that Parsons wants to slow down his schedule, so that he can enjoy a

more fulfilling personal life.

Parsons married his longtime boyfriend, Todd Spiewak, in May 2017.

"New business!"

Whatever the reason behind Parsons' decision to leave The Big Bang Theory, it's clear that

his co-stars have his back and harbor no ill will toward him and his show-ending decision.

Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj on the show, took to Instagram to share just how happy he was

to have acted on The Big Bang Theory, writing,

"After season 12 we will be the longest running multi camera sitcom in the history of television.

There are no words in any language that can describe what my heart wants to say…

The love that I feel for all of you is boundless."

"Hey Leonard, if you're happy and you know it, no need to clap your hands, because I

have an emotion detector."

Actress Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, also shared a statement about the series' end with

her followers on Instagram.

And while she seemed sad to say goodbye to the show, she sounded determined to do her

best work yet on the final season, writing,

"This ride has been a dream come true and as life changing as it gets.

No matter when it was going to end, my heart would have always been broken in two.

Drowning in tears, we promise to bring you the best season yet."

The first episode of The Big Bang Theory's final season will premiere on CBS on Monday,

September 24th.

Given how much love the cast and crew has for the show, fans are likely in for the most

memorable season yet.

Prince Philip is the 'most POPULAR Royal' with Palace staff - Duration: 4:02.

Matt Smith, who played the Duke of Edinburgh in the first two series of the hit programme from 2016-2017, made the admission in an interview with US entertainment magazine and website Variety

He said that after speaking to a number of Palace staff in preparation for the role, there is actually some "misconception" about the Queen's husband

In fact the actor, who also played Doctor Who between 2009 and 2013, found Prince Philip to be "brilliantly funny, very clever, very popular"

Matt Smith told Variety: "One of the interesting challenges for me was that I felt there was a sort of a misconception and a preconception about him, which reduced him a bit

"And actually all the research I did found him to be brilliantly funny, very clever, very popular

"In the Royal house he's the most popular of all of them. If you've talked to any of the staff, Philip's the one they all love really

"I think more than a lot of them, he's a bit more of a man of the people. The Royal protocol hasn't dogged him in quite the same way his whole life and there's a sort of rebellion in him and a naughtiness and a cheekiness

"I think he's quite affable and open by all accounts with the staff. They all love him

" It comes after Prince Philip reportedly snapped at a dinner party when asked if he had watched The Crown

Matt Smith said the Duke of Edinburgh was quick to dismiss any rumours he is a fan of the hit Netflix series

He told Variety: apparently there was a dinner party and a friend of mine asked him if he'd watched "The Crown," and he turned around and said, "Don't be ridiculous

" "Which I thought was very good. But apparently the Queen has, we are told, but we don't know

"We'll never know. But I think I'm pretty sure some of them have." It has previously been reported the Queen is a fan of the online show, with another member of the cast claiming Her Majesty watches the series

Vanessa Kirby, who has previously played Princess Margaret, said a friend had overheard Princess Eugenie saying her grandmother enjoyed watching the show

In an interview with the June issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, she said: "A friend of mine was at a party and didn't know anyone, so he sidled up to this group who were talking about The Crown

One girl said, 'Well, my granny watches it and really likes it'. "It slowly dawned on him that the girl was Eugenie and her granny was the Queen

" A Royal source has previously told Express.co.uk Prince Edward and his wife, the Countess of Wessex, also watch the series

They said: "Edward and Sophie love The Crown. "It has been a longstanding arrangement that they drive to Windsor at the weekend to join the Queen for an informal supper while watching TV or a film

"They have a Netflix account and urged her to watch it with them. "Happily, she really liked it, although obviously there were some depictions of events that she found too heavily dramatised

"

Game of Thrones: Why is Season 8 Delayed? | Heavy.com - Duration: 4:54.

Game of Thrones: Why is Season 8 Delayed? | Heavy.com

Game of Thrones, season 8 is delayed once again.

Game Of Thrones will definitely come to an end in 2019, but fans may be waiting until May to see the finale, despite suggestions that it might air in April.

Joe Bauer, the visual effects supervisor, told the Huffington Post that the series won't be eligible for the Emmy's next year, stating: "We're going to be toiling away on season eight until May of 2019, so it's eight or nine months away.

He tried to give fans something to look forward to, stating: "But the prequel is starting to shoot in February, at least the pilot.

So we'll still have quite a lot to do on Season 8 when they're beginning.".

Shows have to air the majority of their episodes before May 31st in any given year to qualify for Emmy nominations, according to the Huffington Post, so it's unlikely that the show will be airing before then.

HBO confirmed on Twitter that the show's eighth season will definitely be the last, but after the news broke that the show may not be eligible for the Emmy's, fans are even more disappointed.

So, not only will this be the final season of Game of Thrones, but there is still no date in sight for fans to look forward to, and the season is only going to be six episodes long (although those six episodes will all be longer than an hour).

So what's causing the delay? According to Metro, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss wanted time to craft the strongest season finale they could.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Casey Bloys explained: "Here's what I'll tell you: They take the time they need to do the show at its highest level of quality.".

He continued: "Here's the one thing I can assure you: Dan and Dave were not sitting around on a beach waiting to go back to work.

They're perfectionists and this is the soonest it can come back at a level of quality that they are comfortable with.".

HBOWhat time and channel is Game of Thrones on tonight?.

Actress Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei, previously told Metro that season eight will "definitely will not be a rushed conclusion.

" Emilia Clarke stated that the final season will "divide viewers," and Joe Dempsie claims the end will be "unexpected and 'satisfying.

"It's an ending I don't think many people will be expecting and I think, on reflection, people will really, really enjoy," Dempsie said, according to Metro.

In the meantime, fans have the world's shortest teaser from HBO to keep them occupied until a season eight trailer is released.

Included in the trailer is footage from both the previous season of the show, and a quick glimpse of the highly anticipated eighth season. Enjoy!.

What To Do When Your Kid Is Lying - Duration: 5:19.

What should parents do when they know that their kids are lying to them?

Because this is a really big bind, and this is something I hear from parents all the time:

"I know my kid is lying to me."

And it's it comes with frustration and anger.

It comes with fear and disappointment and all sorts of stuff.

So, I really want to focus on four key areas that I think will really help.

So much of our time and energy and worry and finances and and everything can go into trying

to support a child or a loved one who is struggling.

And in that process, we can forget about ourselves.

To go out and to get good rest.

To get your own counseling or therapy or support, not even focused on the problems that are

presenting with your child, but what comes up for you.

What's hard?

The loneliness that you might be feeling, the overwhelm.

The more we're able to take care of ourselves when faced with these kinds of crises, the

more bandwidth we have to be able to respond to the crises.

Try as much as possible to shift away from conversations around the substance use, and

move towards conversations around how your children are doing.

To really begin to connect with the pain that might be driving the use, as opposed to the

anger or the the disappointment that comes up from the child using and then even lying

about it.

We can kind of get lost in that conversation around, "How dare you lie to me?

The only thing that I ask for is honesty."

And this derails us from what motivated the use to begin with.

Remembering that when substance use or any kind of addictive behavior trips into problematic

areas, it's no longer fun.

It is serving a purpose.

It is solving some riddle of pain for the person that's stuck in that pattern.

And to change the conversation and to get really curious about what's happening with

the child or the young adult might help you help them solve that, as opposed to getting

stuck in the circular argument around the use and the lying.

A simple and very difficult, if those two things can coexist, suggestion is to stop

asking questions.

When there is this kind of pain, it's really difficult for an individual to even access

the truth of what's happening, much less be able to share that truth.

There's shame, there's fears of failure, there's fears of having things that you

think you need, or you do need, being taken away from you.

We put people in a bind by asking them questions we already know the answer to.

And especially when there's been a history of of mistrust and lying, the person may not

be able to tell you the truth.

Which means they're going to lie or if they do tell you the truth it's really hard to

believe them.

Which then now puts both of you in a bind.

So, if a parent tells me that they know their child is using and they're disappointed

that their child is lying to them about it, I usually say, "Why are you asking the question?"

You already know what's happening, so let's focus our energies into different kinds of

questions, or different kinds of conversations, that might be helpful in that moment.

What do you need?

How are you feeling?

Or even getting more into the parent's stuff, sharing how I'm doing.

What are you willing to do if nothing changes?

Are you willing to let your son or your daughter live with you?

Are you willing to give them a credit card?

Are you willing to give them food, buy them clothes?

What are you not willing to do?

Often parents' anger or frustration is actually tied to their child using the resources that

the parent gives them to get drugs to use.

And when somebody is stuck in that sort of a pattern, of course that's what they're

going to do.

And so once we identify our values, then we can establish ways of offering those to our

kids without putting them in a bind.

So, to wrap up this video, I just want to say that what you're going through is tough.

It's tough on you, it's tough on your children, and you're all in it together.

So, I hope that you're able to get help for everybody.

LEGO The Simpsons is BACK BABY! Actually - let's not get TOO excited. - Duration: 1:25.

I'm still sick - follow me on Twitter for updates like this - so sorry if I sound off,

but LEGO has revealed an official image on their Twitter for the LEGO The Simpsons BrickHeadz.

LEGO Simpsons is BACK baby.

But, for a - uh, one off BrickHeadz set.

*sigh*

Yeah, there were some leaks of these a few weeks back and I was really let down then,

and now with official pictures, they're... a little better?

Just a little.

Still let down.

Let me explain.

They do an interesting thing with Homer's stomach to show the fatness, which I don't

mind, but there's like no colar, so it just looks incomplete.

They could've redone the neck with a 1x2 plate in yellow at the center, or print on that

white 2x4 slope.

But nope.

And that's really my biggest flaw with homer, though it's a big one.

I actually like how they did the hair up top, it's clever.

As for Krusty, keep in mind Krusty and Homer have the same bodies - apparently it was an

idea thrown around that they would secretly be the same character in the early years of

The Simpsons.

With this in mind... why doesn't Krusty have the same body type as Homer?

Krusty looks way too slim and square in this aspect, but as a whole, I think the design

of the Krusty BrickHead is better - I lvoe how they did his hair.

Either way.

What do you guys think?

Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

I'll ese you guys later, peace out, bye.
