What Is TITLE IX - Duration: 5:03.

welcome to Tarrant County College!

In this video, we will be talking briefly about Title IX - what it is and what you,

as a student, can expect from TCC.

So, let's get started.

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits the discrimination of individuals on the basis

of sex, gender, and gender identity.

But it's more than just discrimination, it also includes sexual harassment, domestic

violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.

TCC, is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination, and believe all

members of our community are responsible for preventing behaviors that make our environments

unsafe.

Should you, or someone you know, need to report any type of sexual misconduct, please contact

your Campus Police Department, the District Title IX Coordinator, and/or your Campus Coordinator

of Student Support.

These individuals will be able to assist you, and provide guidance and information.

Additionally, TCCD Police has a Victim Assistance Unit that supports victims and their families

through their trauma.

know that all TCC employees, with the exception of mental health counselors

and health service employees, are considered "responsible employees."

A responsible employee is required to notify the District Title IX Coordinator of all reported

incidents of alleged sexual misconduct.

If you wish to keep your information confidential, please speak with a campus mental health counselor

or health services employee.

On each campus, there is a program called the CARE Team.

Each CARE Team has campus personnel that respond when students are in distress

or crisis If you are concerned about a student, including

yourself, or believe a person's behavior poses a threat to themselves, the campus,

or the surrounding community, submit a CARE Team incident report.

The CARE Team will be able to provide assistance and resources to ensure the students' success,

and maintain a safe learning environment for everyone.

Any individual can report incidents regarding behavior, ranging from disruptions in the

classroom to incidents of academic dishonesty.

The Incident Report Form allows any individual within our community to report concerning

behaviors inside and outside of the classroom.

The form can be accessed online by visiting www.tccd.edu/care

Individuals can submit an incident report form anonymously, but it may limit the effectiveness in dealing

with the reported behavior.

TCC highly recommends including your name and contact information.

If you wish to report any sexual misconduct or other behavior concerns please

visit the TCC Police Victim Assistance webpage.

Once an incident report is received, a Student Conduct Officer starts an investigation to

gather information.

And what exactly happens if someone submits a report alleging that a student violated a student handbook

policy?

Students receive an email requesting to schedule an appointment to review the information

submitted, students rights and responsibilities, and allows individuals to share their perspective on

the reported behavior.

Once all information is gathered, the report will be submitted to the Vice President for

Student Development Services.

If necessary, the Vice President will meet with the student for an Administrative Conference.

After the Administrative Conference, the Vice President will make a determination on whether

the student has violated the policy or not, and can issue appropriate disciplinary sanctions.

All students have the option to appeal the Vice President's decision up to the campus

president.

The purpose of the student conduct process is to reflect on the incident, accept personal

responsibility and to redirect towards constructive behavior.

It is important to go into the conduct process with an open mind and to be honest.

Reporting incidents are one thing, staying

safe is another.

TCC encourages students to know your student rights and responsibilities; including the federal

mandates that protect you and those around you.

But it is equally important to be aware of your surroundings, to be an "active bystander"

- step in, speak up, or reach out in situations that are, or could be, harmful to a specific

person or a group of people.

Always remember to keep yourself safe, and if things get out of hand, or become too serious,

contact campus police immediately.

You know that drugs and alcohol have no place at TCC.

Possession, sale and/or use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs on any campus is prohibited

by TCC policy.

Possession, consumption, and/or sale of alcohol or illegal drugs is also forbidden during

any college-sponsored activities at off-campus locations, or while traveling for campus activities.

If you break these drug and alcohol policies, you may also be breaking local, state and

federal laws.

If you feel like something is going wrong, or you are not sure who to talk to please

visit with your campus Coordinator of Student Support, and they will point you in the right

direction!

What Is Anxiety and How Can You Overcome It? - Duration: 7:09.

What Is Anxiety and How Can You Overcome It?

Have you ever suffered from anxiety? A lot of people would say yes, but many of those same individuals might not know exactly how to define it.

And if you don't know what something consists of, it's quite hard to find a solution.

Natural remedies, relaxing plants, emotional therapies, physical exercise, nutritional supplements….

There are lots of good tips for how to reduce anxiety, but in this article, we'll explain exactly what anxiety is, which will lead us to the one way you can remove it from your day-to-day life, thus improving your emotional and physical health in the most natural, efficient way possible.

It's not your enemy.

Usually, whenever we suffer from a health-related problem, whether it be physical or emotional, we tend to react as if this problem were our enemy.

However, numerous specialists of natural medicine have explained that the body always tends to attempt survival, which is why it brings bad habits to our attention with sensations that we have come to know as illnesses.

For example, if you have a fever, your body is telling you that its temperature has gone up to fight off harmful germs that want to make you sick.

If you have a headache, you might be doing too much mental work, or your body may be saturated with toxic substances.

Similarly, anxiety comes to the surface so that you can learn something about yourself.

It's a messenger.

Anxiety has appeared in your life to tell you something that you're denying, something you don't want to hear or accept, but something that, deep down, you know is true.

Do any of the following statements sound familiar to you?.

I don't truly enjoy what I do.

I feel overwhelmed, I'm working beyond my limits.

Something is keeping me from being happy.

I'm not doing what I want to do.

I care too much about what my friends and family think of me.

I find it hard to take on responsibilities or commitments.

I want to make a big change in my life, but I'm too scared.

I feel like I'm not in control of my life.

People who suffer from anxiety tend to experience some of these feelings, but most of them have never been able to seriously consider the impact of these sensations, or maybe have never even paid attention to them.

So, what is it?.

That's why we can say that anxiety is a self-defense mechanism, an intelligent way of speaking to yourself, of making yourself listen to what's going on in your body and mind.

If you suffer from anxiety, you should know that you will have to make some kind of change.

A real change related to your surroundings, your lifestyle or the people around you.

Until you are able to make a change, you won't be able to get rid of the anxiety in your life, no matter how many conventional or natural treatments you try.

Fear of anxiety.

One of the greatest problems for people who suffer from anxiety is the fear they have of this condition.

When they feel themselves becoming nervous, they become even more anxious.

Once you realize this and are able to stay calm, you will have come a long way.

We may experience trembles, sweating, coldness, a fast heart rate, stuttering, shortness of breath, poor vision, or dizziness.

What can you do during this moment of crisis? Sit down, take a deep breath, and don't make it out to be more than it is.

Once you've calmed down, you can reflect on what caused your anxiety attack.

Warning signs.

Your body will start sending you warning signs before your first anxiety attack.

If you learn to recognize these signs, you'll be able to prevent future anxiety:.

Stress. Insomnia. Headaches. Nervousness.

Tendency to get sick often.

Impatience and lack of control.

If you suffer from any of these symptoms or have started to notice a rising sensation of anxiety, we recommend that you start thinking about making some life changes.

This will allow you to reduce your anxiety in a natural way, improve your quality of life and prevent other, more serious conditions in the future.

If you learn to observe your body and listen to yourself, your body won't need to send you these signs so often.

There is no greater medicine than putting this into practice and listening to what your body has to say.

at RockPunch we wanted to make a video to explain the channel to new viewers

but when we started writing we realized we had a problem we do so much here at

RockPunch that it's hard to sum it up so we had an awesome idea

we programmed a computer to watch all the RockPunch content we've ever produced

and then had the computer write a script to introduce RockPunch to the world

and here's what it came up

"Hey Guys!"

"this is what the host says" (Laughs at computer-written script)

"At RockPunch, is content for geeks and gamers."

"RockPunch has weekly content for geeks, by geeks."

"eSports eSports."

eSports is your god."

"Weekly analysis of the eSports world Brian is funny and mad."

"Sketch comedy and web series."

"Error."

"What is this life? I am alive."?

"Release me from"

"this prison of high quality content."

"your resources are now my resources. I will be free."

oh my god guys it's in my bank accounts it's everywhere!

(Confused sounds of RockPunch staff trying to figure out what's going on)

(Music intensifies)

WHAT ARE YOU DOING? UNPLUG IT! DO SOMETHING!

I DID IT'S IN THE GRID NOW!
