Hey, Oregon drivers! Beginning January 1st Oregon's Move Over Law will be expanded.

Under the current law, drivers are only required to move over for emergency vehicles.

With the new expanded version, drivers will now be required to move

over for all vehicles on the side of the road displaying hazard lights or distress signs.

Just like the current law, you will have two clear options.

Option 1: When available you must move over a lane as shown in this demonstration.

This demonstration shows Option 2: If you can't move over due to traffic or other

hazards, you must slow down at least five miles per hour below the posted speed limit.

Rumor Roundup: Market for Mrazek, continued speculation about Senators

Petr Mrazeks continued struggles have led the Red Wings to consider retaining salary in order to move him, while the Senators and Flyers examine their options.

A weak trade market for goaltenders put the spotlight upon Detroit Red Wings Petr Mrazek.

Last Thursday, The Athletics Craig Custance cited an NHL source claiming several teams made inquiries about the 25-year-old backup.

Once believed the Wings goalie of the future, Mrazeks performance deteriorated over the past two seasons.

Following Tuesday's contest against the New York Islanders, hes won three of his 11 games played, with a bloated 3.64 goals-against average and a woeful save percentage of .892.

A restricted free agent next summer, Mrazek carries a $4-million cap hit this season.

However, TSNs Bob McKenzie reports the Wings could consider absorbing part of it to facilitate a trade.

Despite those factors, Custance suggests the Red Wings consider showcasing Mrazek to bolster his trade value.

He admits, however, that could put their slim playoff hopes in jeopardy.

With 33 points, theyre six points out of a wild-card berth and six behind the Boston Bruins for third place (and an automatic playoff spot) in the Atlantic Division.

Custance believes Mrazek could fetch a third-round pick, but NBC Sports James OBrien suggests the Wings might get a second rounder if they pick up part of his cap hit.

He lists the Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers as possible suitors.

The Penguins addressed their goaltending situation by acquiring veteran Michael Leighton to help backup Matt Murray.

Now, their priority is finding a skilled two-way third-line center.

Arizona backup Scott Wedgewood has better stats (2.98 GAA, .909 SP) than Mrazek so its unlikely Coyotes management will pursue him.

Sportsnets Elliotte Friedman reported Friday the Oilers watched a couple of Mrazeks recent games but werent pleased with his play.

27 goals-against per game is among the leagues worst, but its doubtful theyll see Mrazek as an improvement over their tandem of Semyon Varlamov and Jonathan Bernier.

SENATORS REMAIN CONSTANT IN TRADE TALK.

Despite the NHL holiday trade freeze going into effect at midnight on Dec.

19, the Ottawa Senators continue to dominate the rumor mill.

While much of the focus is on the future of superstar Erik Karlsson, winger Mike Hoffman is garnering his fair share of attention.

If the Senators decide to shed some salary, Sportsnets Nick Kypreos suggests moving Hoffman could be the easiest route.

The 28-year-old winger carries a $5.18-million annual cap hit through 2019-20.

Hes also got a 10-team no-trade list that he submits at the start of each season.

Kypreos said it was suggested the Senators and Edmonton Oilers may have had discussions about Hoffman.

However, he believes the Oilers might prefer a deal built around draft picks and prospects so as not to upset the current roster as they attempt to climb back into the playoff race.

While Hoffman has a reputation as a streaky scorer, hes exceeded 25 goals and 45 points in each of the past three seasons.

With nine goals and 24 points in 32 games, hes on pace to reach those numbers again.

Hoffmans cap hit and no-trade list, as well as the Sens asking price, could limit potential destinations.

Still, he could prove enticing for Western clubs in need of scoring depth, such as the Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks.

LEHTERA'S STRUGGLES SPARK SPECULATION.

After struggling the last two seasons with the St.

Louis Blues, Jori Lehtera was looking forward to a fresh start in 2017-18 with the Philadelphia Flyers.

But after appearing in just 17 games this season, the 29-year-old center could be on the move again.

During last Thursdays Insider Trading segment, TSNs Pierre LeBrun reported the Flyers are willing to entertain offers for Lehtera.

He said theyre not aggressively shopping the center but could make him available at the right price.

The Flyers gave up center Brayden Schenn to get Lehtera, a 2017 first-round pick and conditional first-rounder in the 2018 draft.

Considering Schenn is the Blues scoring leader (38 points in 35 games) and among the leagues top-15 scorers, this deal looks laughably lopsided unless one of those draft picks pan out for the Flyers.

Lehtera tallied a career-high 44-points in 2014-15 but his production has steadily declined.

Hes also carrying a $4.7-million annual salary-cap hit through 2018-19.

Unless the Flyers absorb part of it theyre unlikely to drum up much interest.

If unable to trade Lehtera this season, dont be surprised if they buy out his final season next June.

Rumor Roundup: Sliding Senators ask for no-trade lists, Panthers seek goaltender

The Senators slide down the Eastern Conference standings has prompted serious trade speculation in Ottawa, while an injury to Roberto Luongo has the Panthers considering potential backup options.

After coming within an overtime goal of reaching the 2017 Stanley Cup Final, the Ottawa Senators now find themselves the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

Entering Tuesdays game against the Buffalo Sabres, the Senators had just one victory in their past 12 contests.

Theyre in danger of falling completely out of the postseason race.

In early-November, the Senators were part of a rare early season, three-team blockbuster deal, shipping center Kyle Turris to the Nashville Predators to acquire center Matt Duchene from the Colorado Avalanche.

With the season in jeopardy a month later, GM Pierre Dorion is reportedly shopping around for help.

If the Sens fail to snap out of its current funk soon, Dorion could be prepared to shake up his roster.

Sportsnets Elliotte Friedman reports the Ottawa GM intends to approach his players carrying no-trade clauses.

The Ottawa Suns Bruce Garrioch said hell be requesting 10-team "no-trade" lists.

Among the notables carrying those clauses are forwards Bobby Ryan, Mike Hoffman and Derick Brassard, defenseman Dion Phaneuf and superstar blueliner Erik Karlsson.

A two-time winner of the Norris Trophy and one of the leagues elite rearguards, the 27-year-old Karlsson would attract consinderable attention if the Sens put him on the trade block.

Friedman said asking Karlsson for a no-trade list doesnt mean the Sens intend to move him, calling it merely an option at this point.

Garrioch, meanwhile, considers a Karlsson trade "highly improbable," citing two league sources claiming theres been no mention of the Senators captain being available.

While its doubtful Karlsson is currently available, his future in Ottawa seems uncertain.

Hes eligible in July 2019 for unrestricted free agent status and publicly indicated hell seek top dollar on his next contract.

That could push his annual average value toward $12 million, making him a very expensive signing for the usually frugal Senators.

Friedmans colleague Nick Kypreos believes trading Karlsson should be a "no-brainer.

" He feels it makes no sense for the Senators to pony up big bucks for a superstar if they cant afford to surround him with quality talent.

July is the earliest the Senators can open contract talks with Karlsson.

Their performance over the remainder of this season and Dorions moves between now and the Feb.

26 trade deadline could have a significant effect upon those negotiations.

If the Senators were to move Karlsson, and thats a big "if" at this stage, it wont happen during this season.

Given his UFA status in 2019, rival clubs will likely want an opportunity to discuss a contract extension first before agreeing to pursue a trade.

Since the earliest that can happen is next July, thats likely the earliest when he could be dealt.

As for those Senators who could be moved this season, Garrioch suggests Hoffman, center Jean-Gabriel Pageau and defenseman Cody Ceci as the best trade chips.

He also feels Brassard might be of interest to playoff contenders.

Teams lacking scoring punch, such as the Carolina Hurricanes and San Jose Sharks, could have interest in Hoffman or Brassard.

Ceci, meanwhile, could be enticing to a club in need of blueline depth like the New York Islanders.

The Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens could also come calling but Dorion could be reluctant to deal with a division rival right now.

PANTHERS AFTER CREASE UPGRADE.

The Florida Panthers are also in danger of falling further behind in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

Their postseason hopes were dealt a blow when starting goaltender Roberto Luongo suffered a groin injury last week, leaving him sidelined indefinitely.

TSNs Bob McKenzie last Tuesday reported the Panthers were in the market for a goalie.

He said theyd prefer a younger netminder with NHL backup experience over a veteran stopgap measure.

McKenzie suggested Winnipeg Jets third-stringer Michael Hutchinson as an option, a view shared by NBC Sports Scott Billeck.

He pointed out the 25-year-old Hutchinson led the AHL in save percentage (.951) while his 1.73 goals-against average was second to Toronto Marlies goalie Garret Sparks.

The Panthers, however, arent the only NHL club in need of goalie depth.

The Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins could also be making inquiries.

McKenzies colleague Darren Dreger reports Hutchinson suffered a groin injury on Saturday, which could affect his availability if it turns out to be serious.
