Waching daily Dec 28 2017

The God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness trailer

is out.

How does it look?

And what's new on digital this week,

plus I've got the ChristianCinema.com pic of the week,

so stick around for that promo code.

All of that and more coming up this week

on Christian Cinema Weekly.

Alright, so our first look at the highly anticipated

God's Not Dead: A Light in Darkness is here.

This past week,

Pure Flix dropped a one minute teaser trailer.

In it, we see the stakes have been ramped up.

Not only do we see that we return to Hadley University,

you know, from the first movie,

we also see that we go back to Saint James's Church,

which may, potentially, been burned to the ground

by a campus protestor.

A very topical, 2017 subject.

We also see the triumphant return on Josh Wheaton,

played by Shane Harper.

And could it be that they flipped the script?

- Seems like you're the one

much is being asked of this time.

- And we also get a peak at some new characters

that we've never seen before.

Who could they be?

What's the plot?

What's the story?

Well, we can only speculate.

At this point,

I would be lying if I said

I wasn't excited to see

where they go with this movie.

I think the line that really got me was this one.

- The whole world knows what the church is against,

but it's getting harder and harder to know what it's for.

- Yeah, it's definitely peaked my interest

to see what direction they take that.

If you wanna check out an interview I did

with the star of the film, David AR White,

and hear what he has to say about the film,

you can click the link.

Along with telling us about some new characters,

and a little bit about the plot,

the teaser trailer also tells us

that the film is coming out

this Easter.

And you can bet, when it does,

I'll be in that theater,

in the very front row.

Well, actually I'll probably be like,

somewhere in the middle row.

Front row in the theater, you're just, you're,

hurt you neck and it's just,

it's no good.

Alright, so what's new on digital this week?

Well, let me tell you about a movie called

A Question of Faith.

This movie is about three families who find themselves

at a crossroads, questioning their faith,

and a higher power that guides their lives.

As every family member deals with their issues,

their worlds start to intertwine.

This leads to a chain of events,

which unknowingly brings three families

closer together.

How close do they get?

Well, you'll just have to find out

when you watch the movie.

I can't spoil everything here for you, you know?

You can check out that movie

over at ChristianCinema.com.

Also, let me tell you about some other movies

that you might wanna check out

while you're over there.

This one is called I Am Potential.

This movie is a true story

about a father's journey to help

his blind and wheelchair-bound son

overcome impossible odds.

It's a story of self-sacrifice

and the struggles and joys of fatherhood,

especially when life doesn't go as expected.

Another movie you might wanna checkout,

it's a little bit of an older film,

it's called Time Changer.

Ever wonder if tine travel is possible?

Is it possible?

Probably not, but if it is,

perhaps you'll find out about it

in this time traveling adventure

for the whole family.

So coming up next week,

I'm really excited about it,

I'm gonna be bringing you the top 10,

best-selling ChristianCinema.com movies

of 2017.

This comes from ChristianCinema.com's yearly list

of top 100 films and I am super pumped

to share with you guys this list,

but I have to wait 'til then.

Can't, I don't wanna make this episode

too long, right?

I'll spoil at least one of the movies

that are gonna be on it.

I'll make it this week's Pic of the Week,

how's that sound?

Great, the movie is

Beyond the Mask.

This is a period piece

of adventure, fun, intrigue, mystery, romance,

and a whole lot more.

Just use the promo code MASK20

to get 20% off your purchase of that movie

at ChristianCinema.com/redeem.

Alright, that's all for this week.

Be sure to subscribe to this channel

if you wanna keep up with the latest and greatest news

surrounding faith and film.

I'll see you guys next year.

Powerful coming out story!!! LOVE IS LOVE - Duration: 4:33.

(lively electronic music)

- I was 15 and I started dating a girl

that lived down the street from me.

It was my first time ever dating someone

and being official.

I was pretty pumped.

I got a hickey.

My dad saw it and was livid.

I love her.

It's a girl and I'm gonna be with her

and this is how it is.

It went terribly.

I guess she told some people and so they came to me

and asked me, are you and her gay together?

I can either cower away or I can own it,

so I'm gonna own it.

I said, yeah, what about it?

Love is not necessarily between a man and a woman.

The problem was back woods thinking,

that if you were truly a Christian, you were on my side.

And if not, you were legalistic and you needed

to reread what God was really about.

Judge not.

God being love meant God was nice and God was chill

with what you were cool with.

By 18 and 19 and 20, I was super wild and in serial

relationships with women.

When I got to nursing school, I met the girl

that I ended up being engaged to.

I kinda slowed down a little bit for her

because she had two kids.

And, then at 22 I got invited to a Bible study.

I expected them to bring up my lifestyle really early,

and then would use that as justification

for not coming back, so I agreed to go.

Different women in the circle were talking

about different experiences they had.

I have nothing like that,

and it bugged me.

I could not stop thinking,

what if all that's true?

Are you sure this is who you are?

I couldn't stop questioning.

I need to feel okay.

Because I don't feel okay anymore.

(mysterious music)

I Googled verses on homosexuality.

Those who practice homosexuality, which was me,

and also drunkards and a bunch of other things

that I would've been,

I realized that I was in the will I

enter the kingdom of God lineup.

And it scared me

really really bad.

And then I read verse 11.

And it says and such were some of you,

but you are washed.

You are sanctified, you are justified.

I realized that there are people in the same place

and they were saved and they were changed,

and that God could do that for me too

and that I needed that.

I could hold onto my sin

and reject God,

or I could turn to Him.

All the debt that I'd wracked up living like I lived

didn't have to be mine

if I could trust Him.

So that was it.

I knew what I wasn't gonna do

because it was right there, it was black and white.

I'd twisted those Scriptures before, I'd argued them down.

I'd say judge not to them like that mattered,

and then that day it was like my eyes were really opened.

I was amazed at the grace He'd shown me.

(calming music)

People say to me all the time I was born this way.

I said okay, me too.

You're not born with right affections.

That's why Jesus had to come.

You feeling a desire for sin

just proves you need grace like me.

It's not gay or straight, it's lost or saved.

God calls us not to heterosexuality but the holiness.

Even though the world would paint a totally

different story about what sexuality is and isn't,

God's word is clear and He can save and He does

and He will.

EastEnders spoilers: New Year trailer teases mystery female character - but who is it? - Duration: 2:54.

EastEnders spoilers: New Year trailer teases mystery female character - but who is it?

While the 30-second clip features a host of prominent male characters and their storylines, one shadowy figure sticks out amid the dramatic dialogue.

The major storyline will see Aidan "JP" Maguire (played by Patrick Bergin) and his gang of thugs finally carrying out their heist.

Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) can be seen shaking hands with the gun-toting character, and there are a number of punches and harsh east-end words thrown around.

In the trailer's final moments however, as Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid) is carrying out his standard duties in the Arches, suddenly a seemingly blonde woman approaches through the doorway.

Could this be the first entrance of Melanie Owen, following the highly-publicised announcement of actress Tamzin Outhwaite's return to the BBC soap? Or is there another female featuring a prominent role in the New Year episodes - possibly Ben's step-mother Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean)? The departure of former executive producer Sean O'Connor earlier this year has had many fans convinced it was the catalyst for Albert Square's return to "greatness", even more so under the steady hand of writer John Yorke.

But what will Mel's return mean for staple characters such as Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden, whom the character has a chequered past with?  And will the events of New Year rock Albert Square and its residents for good? Viewers won't have long to wait and see.

EastEnders continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on BBC One.

Sorry, Cristiano: Eden Hazard claims Lionel Messi is the best player in the world - Duration: 2:07.

Sorry, Cristiano: Eden Hazard claims Lionel Messi is the best player in the world

Chelsea star Eden Hazard believes Barcelona icon Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer on the planet.

The Blues finished second – behind Roma – in Group C of the Champions League and were drawn against Messis Barcelona for a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Hazard and Messi will come face-to-face when the sides first meet at Stamford Bridge on February 20 and the Belgian is relishing the chance to test his wits against the best.

And despite Cristiano Ronaldo winning the last two Ballon dOr awards, Hazard insists Messi is the greatest.

Asked about Chelseas upcoming clash with Barca, he told Mundo Deportivo: Of course, when you are playing football you want to play against the best. The best team, the best players in the world. Messi is the best player in the world.

In the last 15 years, there hasn't been a team like Barca and there also hasn't been a player like Messi.   Antonio Conte urged his played to remain positive after drawing the La Liga giants for the last-16.

It's a draw and our reaction must be positive, the Chelsea boss said. 'As I know very well you must be ready to face everything and in this case you must ready.

'The past is the past. Now is the present and it is another story.'            .

#Lionel Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo, says Chelsea star Eden Hazard - Duration: 2:40.

Lionel Messi is better than Cristiano Ronaldo, says Chelsea star Eden Hazard

EDEN HAZARD has claimed that Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is the best player in the world.

The Chelsea star will come up against the Argentine ace when the Blues face Barcelona in the Champions League.

Eden Hazard has scored eight goals for the Blues this season.

Hazard has ranked Barcelonas highest ever goalscorer ahead of Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

Speaking to Chelsea TV, Hazard said: Of course, when you are playing football you want to play against the best.

The best team, the best players in the world.

Messi is the best player in the world.

Lionel Messi won four consecutive Ballon dOr awards.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won 25 trophies in his career.

Ronaldo beat Messi to the Ballon dOr and FIFAs The Best prize this year following a victorious season for Los Blancos.

But Messi is the La Liga top scorer, with 15 goals and six assists this term.

Hazard will line up against Ernesto Valverdes squad in February and March in the Champions League last-16.

Barcelona are racing away from Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga standings, with 45 points from their opening 17 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo helps Lionel Messi off the ground.

Despite not labelling him as the worlds best player, Hazard could be set to join Ronaldo in Spain next summer.

Zinedine Zidane is looking to shake things up following a sluggish start to the season, and the Belgian has emerged as a top target.

Manchester United have also indicated their interest in the versatile 26-year-old.

The former Manchester United ace poses with his Ballon dOr trophy.

How serious is the North Korean anthrax threat? | SML TV - Duration: 9:28.

How serious is the North Korean anthrax threat?

Then, it emerged the US military erroneously shipped live anthrax used for research purposes to South Korea, as well as parts of the US, Canada and Australia.

The sample sent to South Korea was destroyed and the facility decontaminated.

There were no plans to vaccinate the general public, the Blue House spokesman said.

Adding to these concerns was a report in the Korean media alleging one of the four North Korean soldiers who defected in 2017 was found to have antibodies to the biological weapon in his system, suggesting he was either vaccinated against anthrax or exposed to it at some point.

South Koreas National Intelligence Service told CNN it could not confirm that report.

The Defense Ministry said it also could not confirm the report, adding that none of the four military defectors are believed to have worked in North Koreas biochemical warfare unit.

       . Biological threat.

According to the Trump administrations National Security Strategy, released earlier this month, North Korea has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons including research into chemical and biological weapons which could be delivered by missile.

In a statement, North Koreas Ministry of Foreign Affairs said such claims were groundless and accused the US of attempting to cook up untruths.

As a signatory to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), North Korea maintains its consistent stand to oppose development, manufacture, stockpiling and possession of biological weapons, the statement said.

It pointed to US claims Iraq possessed biological agents and other weapons of mass destruction before the invasion of that country in 2003, which were later proven to be dead wrong, according to a US government commission.

Previous US administrations have also accused Pyongyang of developing biological weapons, with a 2004 report from the Deputy Director of National Intelligence saying that after its accession to the BWC in 1987, North Korea continued to pursue research in this area.

North Korea has the scientists and facilities for producing biological products and microorganisms, and has the ability to produce traditional infectious biological warfare agents or toxins, the report said.

       . Nerve agents and toxins.

There was renewed attention on North Koreas chemical and biological weapons programs this year after the audacious assassination of Kim Jong Nam, half-brother of the North Korean leader, in Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

He was killed with the nerve agent VX, allegedly by two women acting on behalf of North Korea.

Pyongyang has consistently denied any involvement in Kims death; lawyers for the women have said they thought they were taking part in a prank TV show.

According to a report published in October by researchers at Harvard, accurately assessing the threat from North Koreas biological weapons program is challenging, as tests can be carried out in secret behind closed-doors, unlike nuclear or missile testing, and many technologies involved can be dual-use, such as for the creation of pesticides.

In 2015, North Korean state media published photos of leader Kim Jong Un touring a pesticide facility which experts argued was capable of producing large amounts of biological weapons.

Analysis of the images reveals that the facility -- the Pyongyang Bio-technical Institute -- can produce regular, military-sized batches of biological weapons, specifically anthrax, Melissa Hanham, a North Korea expert at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, wrote at the time.

South Korean rescue workers wearing chemical protective suits participate in a disaster management exercise at the COEX shopping and exhibition center in Seoul on May 20, 2016.

The US Centers for Disease Control categorizes anthrax as a Category A agent: one that poses the greatest possible threat for a negative impact on public health; one that may spread across a large area or need public awareness and requires planning to protect the publics health.

The North Korean assertion that the plant is intended to produce insecticides is an old and well-used cover for a biological weapons program, Hanham said, adding the publication of the photos of Kims tour may have been intended as a veiled threat to South Korea and the United States.

The Harvard report said decades of open source information affirm that North Korea has held an interest in developing a bioweapons program, and there was evidence Pyongyang possessed the capability to produce, and in some instances weaponize, a number of biological agents, including anthrax, botulism, cholera, plague, and smallpox.

       . Devastating attack.

Much about North Koreas biological weapons program is unknown, including whether it is still ongoing: Pyongyang has not been shy in boasting about its weapons capabilities, and its difficult to judge that being a signatory to the BWC would be enough to encourage it to hide one controversial program while being increasingly open about its nuclear arsenal.

However, its understandable that some in South Korea are fearful.

Any conflict with North Korea, whether sparked by Pyongyang, Seoul or Washington, would likely result in devastation for the heavily-populated South Korean capital, at which are aimed thousands of pieces of North Korean artillery, to say nothing of missiles and other weaponry.

Missiles, drones, airplanes, sprayers, and human vectors are potential means of (biological weapons) delivery, the Harvard report said, though it added biological agents are difficult to keep intact on missile payloads due to heat and changing conditions that can degrade the agent, making far-range delivery unlikely.

Manual delivery is perhaps the most difficult to guard against, the report said: North Korea has 200,000 special forces; even a handful of those special forces armed with (biological weapons) would be enough to devastate South Korea.

Kim Jong Uns regime is also believed to have considerable chemical weapons stockpiles, as much as 2,500-5,000 metric tons according to some estimates.

Unlike the BWC, Pyongyang is not a signatory to the equivalent Chemical Weapons Convention, though it has denied pursuing such a program.

A June report from the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists warned North Korea could hit Seoul with a sea of sarin should conflict break out, potentially killing or severely injuring millions of people.

Anthrax and similar agents could be equally dangerous, with the Nuclear Threat Initiative warning gram-for-gram, biological weapons are the deadliest weapons ever produced.
