Waching daily Dec 28 2017

I usually make new year's resolutions and end up disappointed at the end of the year.

Why? Well, I have many things I want to do and many things I want to become. And if I am not able to do these, I feel disappointed in myself.

So, in 2018,

instead of making resolutions, I've chosen one word.

And I've decided I want to live according to the meaning of that word.

What's the word?

I'm a Christian and I was reading about the Fruits of the Spirit in Galatians in the Bible.

One of those fruits is "patience" (long-suffering, waiting etc)

Another word for it is "patience" (explaining more simply in Korean)

And in English it's called patience

So why did I choose this word?

To be very honest, I could consider myself an impatient person.

For example, when I take a video, edit it and upload it on YouTube, the waiting time and uploading time is sooooo long and I'm super impatient.

I dislike waiting

And I was born in 1994 and from my group of friends, a lot of them have already married and had children.

I don't mean to say I want a child now,

but I kinda wonder why I haven't got a boyfriend lol

But! I will trust in God and pray and I believe I'll receive more patience.

Recently I was looking up the word "patience" in the Bible and taking some notes.

But the really cool thing is that the very next day, I went to a restarant and I needed some sugar...

and on the sugar packet, this phrase was written:

Patience is the key which solves all problems.

In Korean, it's...

Great words, right?

I'd like to do the things I want to do, slowly, with lots of patience.

For example, I want to be able to speak some langauges to a level that I'm able to work overseas.

and I'd want to improve my design skills,

so I wanna live with vigour!

Patience is an extremely important virtue in language learning.

Why? Well, you can't learn a language in one day.

and if you study every single day for a whole month, but do nothing for 2 months after that, you'll forget the language quickly.

So, wait, and work slowly and efficiently.

In that way, I want to live 2018 in a patient but efficient manner.

Recently, mindfulness is a popular word.

It means appreciating and living each moment fully.

living in the moment.

If you're gonna do that, you'll need patience.

If you keep thinking about the future, or if you're obsessed with the past, you can't appreciate and focus on the now.

Appreciate every moment!

What are your plans or themes for the new year?

I'd love to know, so please leave a comment!

Happy new year, and see you in the next video! Bye!

Investigator Insights: Evaluating Support for Veterans' Informal Caregivers - Duration: 3:13.

My name is Kate Miller and

I'm a project manager at the Durham COIN,

the Center for Health Services Research In Primary Care in North Carolina.

My research is focused on long-term services and supports,

specifically those providing supports to caregivers of Veterans.

So the VA Caregiver Support Program is a Partnered Evaluation Center

and it's funded by QUERI, as well as by our operational partners,

the VA Caregiver Support Program.

The Evaluation looks at Veteran outcomes in terms of healthcare utilization

and total costs over three years,

as well as looking at caregiver health and well-being outcomes.

Caregivers provide so much care.

They are, in a lot of ways, the backbone of long term services and supports

in the United States.

We know from the literature,

that caregivers often suffer from high levels of burden

or depressive symptoms

and there's a financial strain placed on them by providing care,

yet we do not have a firm understanding

of what is the best way to support these caregivers.

It does affect the care recipient's care,

and in this case, that's the Veterans.

It is imperative that we understand the best way to support them.

The goal of this is to be able to inform our operational partners

about which caregivers should receive targeted interventions

to ultimately improve their health and well-being

with the idea that this will ultimately

improve the Veterans care received from the caregiver.

We are incredibly lucky, we have very involved partners

through the VA Caregivers Support Program,

and we work very closely with them.

Their collaboration is priceless.

They have helped with everything from the study design

to the questions we ask on the survey,

to which outcomes are not only of greatest interest

in terms of research, but also for operational needs.

And that, I think really makes for a wonderful research project,

when you can not only pursue what's interesting to you as a researcher,

but also what will actually help improve services delivered to these caregivers.

And having it go directly to the decision-makers is wonderful.

When we received all the surveys back—

we received well over 1,000 surveys—

and going through all of them, 20-page surveys and reading each one

and responding to notes within 24 hours,

was certainly very time consuming and a lot of late nights,

but that is really nothing.

And it's really just a drop in the bucket and it's so worth it

when you think about who we're serving

and wonderful work they're doing to support the Veterans.

It makes it all worth it.

Badass Beauty Queen - Conflict for Anastasia in Washington DC - Duration: 0:31.

Anastasia: So Jeff arrived in the lobby.

Jeff: Wandered around a bit, and then I noticed this young woman in a tracksuit.

Walked up and introduced myself.

Anastasia: And I insisted that we sit in the very open lobby area in front of the elevator so that

I'm not hiding anything.

I'm doing everything by the book.

Jeff: I actually thought it would be easier if we would just leave the hotel.

She was quite insistent, she wanted to abide by the rules.

Somebody from the Miss World staff walks by, gives us kind of the hairy eyeball.

Anastasia: He was like, "Canada, why are you talking to this person?"

Janitorial Training - Preparing Your Cart for Restroom Cleaning - Duration: 2:21.

Before you begin cleaning a restroom,

let's make sure you have all the necessary tools to do the job.

We'll start on the top shelf of the cart.

Your PPE, or Personal Protective Equipment,

includes disposable gloves, yellow janitor gloves, and safety glasses.

Next you will have a green scratch pad and a yellow sponge with a white scratch pad attached.

These should be in separate containers.

Restroom chemicals include multi-purpose, disinfectant, and neutral floor cleaners,

as well as a cream cleanser.

To finish out the top shelf, be sure you have a putty knife, detail brush, and door stop.

Moving to your second shelf, we will place liners, both a red and blue microfiber cloths,

and a green mop head.

Your bottom shelf is for stocking products.

This can include toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap,

seat covers, sanitary bags and feminine products.

Finally, we'll finish out the sides of the cart with the high duster, extension duster, broom,

dust pan, plunger, paper towel roll,

caution signs, laundry bag, and the mopping system.

There are two types of mopping systems –

the push button system and the handle and frame system.

The push button system has a reservoir on the handle that you fill with solution.

On top of the handle is a button you push to squirt the solution onto the floor for mopping.

The handle and frame system does not have a reservoir.

For this system you need a container for the mop heads to soak in solution

so they are ready for mopping.

Mop heads should never be transferred from one restroom to another,

causing cross contamination.

Be sure you have enough mop heads for all the restrooms you are going to clean.

Congratulations!

You're ready to start cleaning.

Badass Beauty Queen - An Evening for Anastasia Lin - Duration: 0:33.

It shows you how weak is the Chinese regime, with all it's army, with all it's citizens,

with all it's economic, it's scared from a small, little beauty queen.

I see her as somebody who has strong principles.

I was deeply touched by her courage.

She takes the fame and the attention she gets with a lot of responsibility, she wants to

be able to do something good with it.

Well she certainly changed the image of "beauty queen," and I'm very impressed by the strength

and the poise.
