aim to inspire and give you the proven strategies to live a life of fun and

freedom via the Internet on today's episode we're going to look

at blog post idea generation we all know content is king and in this fast-moving

world of internet marketing we need to put out as much high quality content as

we possibly can now coming up with the ideas can be challenging but in today's

video I've got 8 tools and 8 strategies that you can use to come up with an

unlimited supply of content for your internet marketing and blogging needs

make sure you stay to the very end of the video because if you've ever thought

about starting your own internet business I've got a secret tool that

could help you get started this afternoon with zero investment so stay

till the end to see that roll intro

tool number one is our good friends at Google and they come in two parts so let's

put our keyword in let's say is affiliate marketing

one of the first things that I would look at is this section here people also

ask Google is the biggest search engine so if they're telling us what people are

actually asking on a daily basis that's some great great idea generators there

within itself these are actual questions people are asking so what is affiliate

sales what is an affiliate website how does an affiliate how does an affiliate

marketing work what is an affiliate code these are all things you can create

content around that Google are telling us exactly what questions people are

asking so people want to know this stuff so if you can create content around it

people are going to people already interested in it's proven Google's

telling us that and you can click on the little arrows here to open up a bit

more information and as you see other things pop up and other questions let's

look what is an affiliate marketer opening it up boom and they give us two

more extra things related to that what questions people are asking so it could

help for longtail keywords and that sort of thing

what is an affiliate partner how does the mark how does the marketing works

not great English but anyway let's see as I open up more you start getting more

questions and you can generate I don't know how how much how far this goes if I

keep generating questions and it just keeps going keeps going

so yeah this is tool number one that I do highly recommend it's people also ask

some an amazing tool and it has given you lots of questions that people are going

into google and type in him how do you become an affiliate with Amazon create a

short video around that or a blog post and questions like that how do I find

the link to my Amazon wishlist what is an affiliate program so yeah use that

tool check it out it's a great it's a great little resource and tool number

two is actually the Google search Google search I didn't see these are coming up

in the top searches but I'm top results I should say so it and yeah I'll check

out the content if they're up here Google like some people are getting

value from them so i'd go in check out the content see what people are writing

and could I have my own spin on it go create content go more in depth with

that piece of content and have my own angle on it and yes you could just

generate Google alone you could have endless an endless endless supply of

ideas just from Google alone using this tool people also ask and actual search

results itself you can go through see what's coming up in the top results for

Google and just get lots of different ideas so onto tool number two

Alltop.com from I understand it's like an

aggregation tool so it brings in lots of different websites and different posts

on those websites so up here I'll type in

my keyword

give me some choices here affiliate marketing

and from this one as you can see it's pulled in lots of different websites

with some of their most popular Posts so for each website they give one two three

four five results so just from typing in affiliate marketing I've got lots of

different websites and I could hover over or

click on it and open up that website and check out the content and come up with

my as again own version different angle see what what's doing well for

other people and just look how many ideas from that one keyword affiliate

marketing I've been given so many different websites and different posts

from each to see how you can you can just generate idea after idea and have

loads of content ready to delve in Go deeper, create your spin on and put out put

out content you could put our blog post every day twice a day just

from using these two tools alone Alltop.com and Google but third tool Buzzsumo

I love this one this is one of my faves there is a pay the component of buzzsumo

but I've just used the free one affiliate marketing they give you a

thing like 10 results free so I put my keyword here and it gives me

ten top results and it shows me what is affiliate marketing the ultimate newbie

guide but the great thing about this tool is it shows me that engagement

people have on social media what gets shared how much it gets shared so this

one's had 23,000 Facebook engagements I'm guessing that counts as

shares on Facebook this has had 175 Twitter shares the ultimate 10 tips for

any affiliate marketer the website SEO war and this one has 14,000 shares if

you can see if we let's me oh no that's a paid component

but yeah this this is just giving you giving you ideas to try different

keywords in there depending on your market and what you'll do in it doesn't

always bring up the best results because I'm let's let's take a look at this and

see if it's even relevant to affiliate marketing

Zimbabwe tech entrepreneur behind Africa's hottest mobile airtime

it doesn't really look like it's much about affiliate marketing

but yeah just just type in your keyword in here like you've done in the other

sites and it tells you what gets shared what people are liking and you can

create your content and you've already knowing that people were sharing newbie

guides so you can put in your keyword and I could do my own version of a

newbie guide on affiliate marketing and people obviously like that because it

had so much engagement on Facebook alone okay that was tool four

okay now HubSpot this is its topic generator you can go in here and put in

your keyword for free

give me blog topic ideas so each time you do that we'll give you

five ideas of this is more titles to think what what titles you could use for

your content think you're cut out for doing affiliate marketing take this quiz

five tools everyone in the affiliate marketing industry should be using

so these are proven titles that should do well if you get a traffic for your

content Google Trends six

Affiliate Marketing

okay first thing that I like to look at I was just counting first thing I like to

look at after I put my keyword into affiliate marketing is to see the

interest over time to see if the industry is on a bit of a rise or if my

keyword not many people are interested in more it's in a decline so I want to

be creating content around things that are gaining interest or have had a

steady interest for a long period of time or extended period of time

like affiliate marketing seems to be having a extended interest I'm kind of

curious to why it drops off here

December I'm guessing around Christmas time this was time New Year people don't

really care about affiliate marketing that's interesting but anyway yeah first I

checked their trends over time to see looks like gaining more momentum I think

it will probably continue upward spiral and then where I like to check is this

section here related topics these are some topics that are on the rise they

can potentially create some content around from your keyword or check

rise affiliate marketing 2015 how's that on the rise 2015 we're in 2017 right now

anyway let's look at the top ones so affiliate affiliate online marketing

affiliate marketing programs affiliate how to affiliate marketing yeah so yeah

these are good these are just great great little tools that you can use the

next tool is the content row link bait title generator now really I really like

this tool it gives you some really fun titles for your content

but before I do it just bere in mind if you do use this tool make sure the content that

you create from some of the titles that you're gonna see here the content

relates to it let's click click bait and link bait has some bad connotations

because people do crazy titles like what you're about to see now and the content

that people clicked to go to is not relevant at all and

these are bad taste in the viewers mouth so whatever if you use any of these

titles make sure your content is great and relevant to the title so let's type

in

Affiliate Marketing okay let's see some of these 101 unusual uses of affiliate marketing that's

slash are the end of the world as we know it 8 unbelievable things you never knew

about affiliate marketing the rise of affiliate marketing how to make it stop

the connection between affiliate marketing and sex I like that one I feel

to create a bit of content around that seems like it would be a fun bit of

fun bit of reading or a good video to do guns don't kill people

affiliate marketing kills people but as you can see it's a it's a fun tool that

comes up with some really creative creative titles there that would compel

me to click if I'm in this industry like I'm into affiliate marketing so what I

would want to read seven things Lady Gaga has in common with affiliate

marketing because I'd be like whoa what do you mean so I think this tool is

great especially for email subject lines that that'll be cool but make sure as I

said your content is relevant to the title maybe tweak it and don't leave a

bad taste in people's mouth and the last tool to come up with great content is the

Paving the way for women to thrive in the building trades - Duration: 0:51.

Well, I just finished doing a tour of the facility here.

We're at Brentwood Town Centre with Mott Electric.

I had the opportunity to meet women in the trades.

Women play a really vital role in our economy.

They're half of the population, and so they should represent half of the workforce.

And that's at all levels.

Right at the entry level up to the executive level.

We see more young ladies getting interested and involved.

My daughter's involved in our company and she's very supportive of as many women as

she can get into the company.

So, the company, moving ahead to another generation of leadership, you've got somebody there that's

got a pretty good vested interest.

I'm a first-year apprentice.

I enjoy it because wiring is kind of like a puzzle to me and I like it.

It's nice to see a lot of women in the trades -- more now than there was.

Getting Campus Buy-In for Your Financial Wellness Program - Duration: 16:31.

Welcome, everyone!

On today's mini-module, we're going to talk about getting campus buy-in when

you're proposing a new project, such as a financial wellness program.

So today we're going to identify some strategies that will help you get buy in across campus.

We've all heard the phrase "it takes a village"

and when it comes to building your financial wellness program, it's no exception.

College students need more than Credit 101

they need schools with holistic financial literacy programs.

Reactionary help, such as default management or loan exit counseling,

isn't as good as teaching students money management all along.

So we're going to discuss how to build a base of support,

ways to prepare for any objections, and showing others "what's in it for them"

and inviting them to co-create the solution

So let's dive right in!

There are numerous benefits to getting buy-in, including:

An increase in resources—when you have others interested in your project

they're also more willing to help by sharing their ideas and time.

Everyone is on the same page—so you're sending the same message and that is that "this is important".

You're not doing this because you have nothing to do with your time.

You're doing this because there's a huge value to both your students and your school.

With faculty on board you can get into classrooms

there's a school in the Midwest that has an agreement with faculty.

Whenever they have to cancel a class, rather than do that they reach out to the financial aid office.

The FAO, in turn, will arrive to that class prepared

to deliver a session on any number of financial literacy topics.

They actually have a suite of topics to deliver at a moment's notice.

And, of course, it goes without saying that more hands on deck means a lighter workload for you!

Now that we know the benefits—how do we make it happen?

1) Start by building a base of supporters

For a good idea to be adopted by a group, it's not enough for most people to be on board

you need a few very VOCAL supporters to champion your idea.

You may have some positional authority, but it's important to enlist the support

of other teammates before you even present your ideas.

Taking the time to have one-on-one conversations to sell your idea

to people you trust within the group is time consuming

but VITAL to ensuring your pitch to the FULL group is successful.

2) Prepare to address objections

This seems obvious, but people generally don't prep ENOUGH for objections.

If you just dismiss people's viewpoints, they don't feel respected and will be more likely to fight your proposal.

Be sure to take the time to appropriately address each one.

For example– someone might have an objection about the amount of time it will take to develop and implement.

Be prepared to discuss how much time you think you will need.

3) Neutralize nay sayers…even after addressing objections in a way that will please most people,

there are often still nay sayers who just refuse to change,

don't want to do anything or perhaps dislike you personally.

Making sure that those individuals don't shut down your ideas in front of the group

should be a key strategy for getting team buy-in.

Depending on your situation, there are a couple tactics you can take to neutralize naysayers:

Try to win them over in a one-on-one - Sometimes nay sayers just want attention.

Othertimes, they have a genuine concern or misunderstanding.

When you meet in-person, you can create a safe environment to speak honestly,

identify the underlying issue, and figure out what to do

without the pressure of egos or an audience.

Have someone they trust/respect win them over

you might have the right message for the naysayer but perhaps they need a different MESSENGER.

If you can convince someone they trust to make the case

for idea they might be able to get through when you couldn't.

Use peer pressure– if you have enough support,

they might feel the pressure to jump on the band wagon

no one wants to be the ones holding everyone back from pursuing this great idea.

This isn't always easy to do and it could backfire

they could just dig their heels in.

Show them you have their best interests in mind

—people need to know that you care about them and aren't

proposing an idea that really only benefits you.

The best way to do this is to have a track record of generous contributions to the group

(and to remind them of this track record, if necessary).

Be prepared to show how financial wellness for students is good for everyone.

Co-create the solution with feedback.

Oftentimes the best ideas come from a group effort.

Going beyond building a base of supporters is an advanced tactic:

enlist people within your group in the idea-creating process.

Get their feedback on how you can best solve the problems of the group

and not only will you often get better ideas, but you'll have an even stronger champions

when someone has emotional investment in making the idea work.

Inform them with facts. Information can be the key to getting management

and others to understand just what it means to your students

and school to have a financial wellness program.

Be sure to keep it simple. When you spend too much time on the details

in the early stages of garnering buy-in, you can make others think

it's going to be too complicated to accomplish.

Pay attention to your message and the amount of information to deliver.

In general, you often lose people because your idea is too complex.

I'm not suggesting you treat them like children, but invest some time in making sure

your suggestion to the group is as crisp and understandable as possible.

Write it down, edit, refine and practice before you deliver.

Don't give up on good ideas--if your proposal doesn't get buy-in the first time,

it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad idea.

It could be a bad idea, but that's a different issue altogether.

Assuming that your idea is decent, it's worthwhile to evaluate what went wrong in

the buy-in process so you can either try again or apply what you learned to future instances.

Why didn't the idea get traction? What objections can you better address?

How can you improve the timing of your proposal? Make a plan and try again.

If your idea is truly a good one, then it's worth fighting for –

you just have to invest the time and effort to make it happen.

Highlight the need—and the whole concept of "what's in it for me".

Let's face it – people are often motivated by personal gain.

Your boss is going to be a lot more interested in your idea if can make him

look good to his boss and perhaps get a raise or promotion.

Show people how adopting your idea will provide some benefit to them

and make their lives better, easier, and so on.

When we said earlier to inform your group with facts,

here are some that might be helpful to you. Some of these are quite alarming.

What age group do YOU think makes up the fastest growing group of bankruptcy filers?

Some of you may be surprised that people 25 or younger make up the fastest

group of bankruptcy filers according to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.

So we know that students who drop out or don't finish their degree,

have a higher change of defaulting on their student loans.

According to a 2013 study from Harvard University. Only 56% of the students

who enter America's colleges and universities graduate within six years,

while only 29% of students who enter two-year programs

complete their degrees within three years, the study found.56%

The percentage of students that drop out before obtaining their degree 44%

According to a study done by EverFi, what percentage of college freshmen worry about debt?

The answer is 79%! And while 79% worry frequently about debt,

a majority of students agreed with the ideas that it's OK to have an overdraft fee

if you know you can afford to pay it, and that it's nice to own things that impress people.

Nearly a third agreed it was BETTER to have something now and pay for it later.

Students usually enter college with risky debt behavior, the study said.

What percent of students say they need to own things that impress others?

Well, the answer is 60%. I think this may even be indicative of people in general, not just students.

Make it easy for them to say "yes" by highlighting the work of other schools

and relaying accolades and positive outcomes. As comedians say –

timing is everything. Make sure to consider when the best time would be

for suggesting your proposal. You want to capture their attention

and catch them at a time when they'd be most amenable to this idea.

Meredith College celebrates Financial Literacy Week asking students:

Are you financially strong? Accounting and business professors join with student services

professionals to host informational session throughout the week & topics included

budgeting, saving, investments, interest calculators, credit cards,

salary negotiations, and student loan repayment.

These topics all hold value and can help their students.

Tally Hart from Ohio State once said that students need to graduate with TWO good records:

a good academic record & a good financial record.

Let's face it– students need both to be successful.

The University of Iowa offers one-to-one personal financial counseling.

They have a 3 person financial literacy group that has met with nearly 1,000 students

individually in less than six months to save students an average of 14%.

That's huge! Their goals were to reduce the average debt for the class of 2015

so it will be less than the national average;

they were determined to decrease Unsubsidized Direct Loan borrowing

and to increase the number of returning students who file for financial aid

early enough to be considered for first-come, first-serve scholarships and grants.

Set your goals so they're relevant & realistic.

Mendocino Community College held "Manage Your Money" week

which focused on responsible borrowing and basic financial literacy skills.

It doesn't have to be complicated to be effective.

It was part of their "I Can Afford College" initiative and they partnered with local credit unions

to share resources and expertise. So you also don't have to go it alone.

They also had school administration work with student groups

to address topics for the workshops—so they had student input, too.

And the football coach attended and set up sessions directly for all student-athletes.

Getting that level of support can be a huge factor

in making the program successful for your you and your students!

Tie it into a larger goal--this is the opposite of the idea of "what's in it for me"

– this is the vision strategy. While personal gain is nice,

people are also motivated to do things for larger, more noble reasons.

If you can make them feel like this idea is part of a larger goal or movement -

like participating in this financial wellness program is going to help your students

be able to borrow less and be more successful financially,

which in turn could equate to alums be in a better position to "give back"

…you may have more staff & faculty embrace your ideas.

Remember: proposing new ideas is scary and most people are afraid of change.

It's almost always hard work to get a good idea adopted,

even by the smartest and most well-intentioned of groups.

Don't get frustrated, get smart and get it done.

Educating your students on financial issues will have several benefits for your school such as:

Lower default rates – Many students who are delinquent on their federal loans

are also delinquent on other loans and credit accounts. Unfortunately, they end up

defaulting on their loans because they have too many credit obligations.

All of this means their inability to repay their federal loans impacts your cohort default rate.

Higher retention rates – helping them reduce financial problems will increase

their chances of graduating. According to the National Center for Education Statistics,

14% of students who left college without completing a degree cited financial reasons.

Higher institutional receivables – if they gain even the basic financial literacy

skills, they'll know about budgeting & credit—and thus

will be in a better position to pay their debts they owe the school

Higher alumni contributions – if they can manage their finances after they

leave school, they will more likely donate to your capital campaigns.

Ultimately, it improves student success.

Student success encompasses many areas.

However the two that most impacts defaults are retention and financial literacy.

We know that retention is crucial to default prevention because

70% of all defaulters are those who do NOT graduate.

However, financial literacy will also increase student success.

Educating students how to make good financial decisions will help them

successfully manage their debt while in college and after they graduate.

As I just mentioned, many students, those who graduate and even those

who don't, are having an increasingly difficult time affording their loan payments.

Part of the reason is that they not only have high education loan debt

with federal and private loans but they also have high consumer loan debt.

We see financial literacy as part of default prevention.

If we can educate students to be conservative consumers,

hopefully they will be able to afford their loan debt once they enter repayment.

Financial literacy programs also provide benefits for your students.

Lower debt burden – teaching them to become conservative borrowers

can decrease their student and consumer loan debt.

those skills will be transferable to their daily budgets

and help them be financially successful overall.

Eligibility for private and Grad PLUS loans.

There is growing concern over an issue that some medical and law schools face

because their students have made credit mistakes as an undergraduate and aren't

able to qualify for the Grad PLUS or private loans to continue their education.

Better credit scores mean better rates on loans & credit cards–

because credit scores dictate how much lenders will charge to borrow money.

The financial situation they should strive for is the driver seat.

Having a good credit score puts them in the driver seat,

not only for better loan offers but they can negotiate for

lower interest rates on their credit cards too.

Better rates also mean approval to rent off-campus housing

and more employment opportunities.

It would be a shame to spend 4 – 5 years of hard work and not be able to get the job

they really want because of bad credit. Some employers (about 47%)

will review credit before extending a job offer.

They use credit to determine a person's character.

And finally, invite others to co-create the solution!

Invite staff and faculty to assist in the development of curriculum.

They may have ideas and tools that you hadn't thought of…

one person can't know everything and enlisting the collective genius

of your faculty & staff can yield great results.

Ask them to share their experience and expertise.

Maybe they'll be willing to even present on a topic.

Maybe they'll invite you to do so—or allow you to bring in a guest speaker to their classroom.

Increase awareness & promote initiatives—

be an active part of the solution to improve student outcomes

You will also want to be sure you have identified available resources—

and when it comes to financial wellness, there are several—

—including those offered by our affiliate, Northstar.

There are some handy tools to enable you to be successful in your endeavors

and we've provided some examples for you here.

There are also some handy websites to use

and you can place some links on your website or even in your social media channels.

So thank you so much for joining us today!

We realize you have a choice in how you spend your time

What Happens When a Borrower Files for Bankruptcy - Duration: 9:30.

Thank you for viewing our SmartTalk recording, "What Happens When a Borrower Files for Bankruptcy."

Information about bankruptcy is always a topic that arises from students

and even aid administrators when determining aid eligibility.

In most cases, aid is not impacted as long as the student is not in default on a federal student loan.

However, in the media lately, there has been some talk about

how loan servicers discuss bankruptcy with loan borrowers and their options

to either (1) have their loans discharged, or (2) avoid the bankruptcy path all together.

In this SmartTalk we want to provide some clarity on how servicers handle borrowers who have filed for bankruptcy.

Ultimately, we must understand that loans can indeed be discharged in bankruptcy

under the terms that the borrower has an "undue hardship" which we will discuss in detail in this Smart Talk.

So, a student comes to your office and says, "I have filed for bankruptcy,

what does that mean for my student loans?"

It's a common question, but think about some of the things you are

saying to your students when they ask you this?

Are you replying, "Bankruptcy has no impact on your Federal Student Aid loans"

or "You're okay as long as you're not in default"

or even, "You're loans are impacted because of you filing for bankruptcy"

In the end, you'll want to make sure you have a response to that question, when it arises on your campus.

Over the past five years bankruptcy in the United States has decreased.

In 2014, there were 936,795 bankruptcies filed nationally compared to 1.5 million in 2010.

One common myth about bankruptcy is that "student loans can never be discharged."

I'm sure you've heard it before too. However, what do you think?

Is this something you hear all of the time on your campus?

or is this something you hear sparingly as student come to your campus?

of course if we evaluate this we know that it is indeed FALSE;

student loans are indeed dischargeable under rare circumstances

When a borrower files for bankruptcy, their legal representation (their attorney)

should inform them on what things can be discharged.

If the borrower is not aware of the things that are NOT dischargeable,

on the back of their loan discharge there is a list of items outlined.

On this slide, we provide an overview of some of the nondischargeable items.

As you can see, "debts for most student loans" is included.

This is where we suspect the wrongful interpretation that student loans can never be discharged started.

The Department of Education has stressed that bankruptcy is an option for students.

However, it is very hard to have federal student loans discharged

because the borrower must prove to the bankruptcy court that

repaying their student loans would cause an undue hardship.

This undue hardship is based on the borrower's household

(wife, husband, children, etc.) and to determine the hardship a three-point or part test is used.

Now that three point or part hardship test that the bankruptcy court uses

in order to establish if a borrower is eligible

to have his or her loan discharged in bankruptcy court.

When the bankruptcy process happens, the borrower's creditors may be present

to challenge the request – so the Dept of ED may be there to counter the claim of an undue hardship.

However, the three factors that are used are based on:

(1) If the borrower would not be able to maintain a minimal standard of living for their household,

(2) If there is evidence that the hardship will continue for a significant portion

of the loan repayment period. This might be due to some type of illness or disability, and

(3) the borrower made good-faith efforts to repay the loan before filing bankruptcy.

The Dept of ED states that usually means the borrower has been in repayment for a minimum of five years.

The borrower must be able to satisfy any one of the three requirements.

If the loan is discharged, the student may not have to repay any portion of the loan

or the entire debt and all collection activity will stop as long as the student

remains current on any remaining balance. We want to point out that,

not all courts will use this as a means to determine an undue hardship.

Judges will have their own interpretation as to what is considered to be eligible.

For example, Judge Joe Brown might say that 20 loan payments

constitute for "good-faith efforts" and Judge Judy might say 50 loan payments

constitute for "good faith" efforts. It's all concluded with the judge's interpretation.

Despite recent myths, loan servicers want to do everything in our power to assist loan borrowers.

However, by law, there are only certain things that can be done during this delicate time

in the borrower's life. In the aid office, a student might be able to receive Title IV aid

as long as they haven't defaulted on their loans… but it's a different process for loan servicers.

When it comes to bankruptcy, Great Lakes' and other servicers,

do a few things to protect the borrower and ourselves from receiving incorrect information.

When or if, a borrower contacts us about bankruptcy

a "bankruptcy hold" is placed on the borrowers account.

This hold lets us know that the borrower has filed for bankruptcy

and for us to verify that they have a case within the court.

In rare situations, a borrower may call their servicer and say,

"I have filed for bankruptcy, don't call me anymore!"

However, this must be verified – in a specific manner without violating bankruptcy laws.

Due to the bankruptcy laws, any legal advice must be obtained by the borrower's attorney.

Servicers will not provide options on what they need to do regarding their status.

However, we know that student loans are extremely hard to have discharged within the courts.

After placing the hold on the borrowers account a system called PACER

is used to verify all cases that have been submitted for bankruptcy within the United States.

When this is verified and valid,

a verified bankruptcy hold is placed on the borrowers account.

Doing this suppresses any means to collect on the student loans until determination of the discharge is made.

The timeline of this varies depending on the type of bankruptcy filed

(like Chapter 7 or 13) and it can take up to six months in some cases.

The verified bankruptcy hold stops:

Past due notices, Correspondences (letters, emails, calls, etc.), Credit reporting.

(Once the bankruptcy concludes or the claim is paid the credit reporting agencies will be updated.)

This hold remains until GL receives notice the bankruptcy has concluded.

As we wrap, this SmartTalks session on What Happens When a Borrower Files for Bankruptcy.

As Financial Aid Administrators, it is imperative to keep a few things in mind.

Borrower situations are delicate and require assistance to resolve.

Sometimes that's additional assistance to be resolved

Be patient sometimes it will be difficult to talk about with students.

Connect borrowers with their servicers to discuss their situation, if needed.

Be familiar with options and resources that can reduce loan delinquency for students.

The FSA handbook is a valuable tool that provides a lot of great information.

Primarily, information regarding default and bankruptcy can be found in Vol 1, Chapter 3,

when it comes to reviewing that information.

Kids React to Giving Up Social Media for a Week - Duration: 2:48.

How many of you think you can go without your phone

for a whole day?

Who could do that for one week?

We're going to ask each of you

to give up all social media, video viewing, social texting,

all the fun stuff on your phone for one whole week.

No! I'm crying.

I've had one of those nights where I'm just like,

"I need my phone. I need it. I need it. I need it!"

So I constructed myself this...

It's my fake phone.

It only has one app.

And the app is "Grey's Anatomy."

So, I've just been watching a bunch of

"Grey's Anatomy" on my phone.

Why are you upset?

Because I logged into my YouTube.

I think the hardest part about it is

not being able to text

my friends when I see something funny.

Just doing this digital detox

is showing me how much I use social media.

I've been stressed.

I feel like I never got a chance to breathe.

I'd say that the only real problem is Netflix

and how annoying it is but you know what, for a week

I've gotten used to not being able to watch it.

Which is annoying but you know...

I am exercising my restraint

and I guess that's good for me.

I haven't cheated at all this whole week.

As the week goes on it's been easier for me.

And I feel, like, I've been, like, you know, getting better

and not feeling like I need my phone.

It's actually much nicer because when

we're hanging out— we're not on our phones as much.

How did this past week go for you guys?

I slipped up one time I think.

And it was texting my sister.

I slipped up once on Instagram.

I sent a video to my friend on Snapchat

and then I was like, "Oh shoot!"

I usually just sit at home on my phone all day.

But I actually went outside.

Playing basketball.

Playing tennis.

If I, like, went without social media and all

that stuff for, like, the first, like, 10 years of

my life— I feel, like, I can do it again.

When it started

I was looking forward to people texting me.

What was disappointing though was that I got, like,

two or three texts throughout the whole week.

And I got one Snapchat and I'm

pretty sure that it was from someone in the group.

Oooh!!! Not me.

Do you think your mom or dad

could handle this challenge?

No.

I would nominate my mom.

I think it would be my mother.

Definitely my mom.

So she stops, like, stalking my friends on Instagram.

Russia plan for MILITARY intervention in North Korea to stop a NUCLEAR apocalypse - Duration: 3:46.

Russia plan for MILITARY intervention in North Korea to stop a NUCLEAR apocalypse

Following North Korea's declaration earlier this week that it now has nuclear capability to target the whole of the US, Russia's Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has confirmed Russia is considering its options.

Mr Patrushev admitted that Pyongyang's actions had put Russia at risk due to the potential of an outbreak of war.

He said: "If there is military action – and you know some countries do not rule it out – this would create all sorts of problems, including for us.".

Donald Trump continually said he would use military intervention in North Korea if the US or any of its allies were put at risk.

Addressing South Korea's National Assembly in November Trump insisted that the US would "not be intimidated" by Kim Jong-un's rhetoric and called for other countries to respond to the "twisted regimes" threats with a sign of military force.

He also warned the "three largest aircraft carriers in the world are appropriately positioned to face Pyongyang. He has also previously called diplomatic negotiations with the rogue state a "waste of time".

Mr Patrushev also said that Russia was getting ready for a military standoff between its unruly neighbour and other states around the world. He said: "We are assessing this and preparing ourselves.

We will not be taken by surprise." He added: "We basically share a border with them.

That's why we are interested in a political and diplomatic solution. Tensions between North Korea and the US have risen in recent months as Mr Trump and his Korean counter-part have taken part in a war of words.

Addressing the UN in October Trump called Kim Jong-un "rocket man on a suicide mission" and vowed to "totally destroy" the corrupt nation.

However, the rhetoric between the two nations heated up earlier this week following another missile test by North Korea. The North Korean missile was fired eastwards from the hermit state. The missile landed about 210km west of Japans Kyurokujima island, Tokyo said.

Japanese media reports the missile was in the air for 50 minutes - indicating a very high altitude flight path. It travelled east for around 620 miles and to an altitude of 2,500 miles before crashing into the Sea of Japan.

The Korean Central News Agency made a statement following the missile test in which they bragged that they now had the ability to hit "all the US mainland". Trump responded to the new threat by ominously saying "we will deal with it".
