"Infinite Challenge" PD Kim Tae Ho Shares Surprisingly Low Expectations For Comeback Ratings

With MBCs Infinite Challenge highly-anticipated return just hours away, the shows main producing director (PD) Kim Tae Ho revealed his thoughts on finally coming back after three months of hiatus.

Commenting on how people arent aware theyre coming back, PD Kim Tae Ho said, We had to suddenly prepare [for a broadcast] because we didnt have anything set aside initially.

We are resuming broadcasts, but I think it will take a while for us to find our identity again.. Infinite Challenge has always been a give-and-take with our viewers.

We always communicate with our viewers and plan accordingly, but we were cut off for two months, werent we? It happened before [in 2010], but it takes a long time to find our footing again.

There are other programs that can invite guests and kick off immediately, but we have to raise our program back up with our casts ideas while also keeping in mind their health, Kim Tae Ho elaborated.

He also shared what it was like reuniting with the regular cast, commenting, After filming yesterday, it seems the cast members are slowly finding themselves again. We have to slowly improve from here..

Infinite Challenge will be airing an Infinite News segment for their first broadcast in three months in order to update viewers.

The cast has reportedly already filmed a new mission that involves them rafting down the length of the Han River as well. PD Kim Tae Ho explained, A summary of what we have been doing up until now will air first.

As for the rafting [mission], there are some things we have prepared but havent filmed yet, so it is still ongoing. He also hinted that during their recording on November 23, they took on a timeless subject..

Since the longstanding program has consistently brought in high viewership ratings over the past 10 years, the PD was also asked about what he expected to reach during their upcoming broadcast.

In 2017, the program usually marked around 10 percent in viewership ratings every episode, with the lowest recorded rating being 8 percent.

Kim Tae Ho surprisingly answered, It appears that there are too many people who dont actually know that were airing today. Im thinking that we will record viewership ratings around 5 percent. We will start over and increase [our ratings] again..

Infinite Challenge will be returning on November 25 KST, and will continue to air every Saturday.

Auckland Council chooses cluster of bases for 2021 America's Cup defence

Auckland Council chooses cluster of bases for 2021 Americas Cup defence        . Emirates Team New Zealand have given up their favoured Americas Cup base at an Auckland Council debate.

The team withdrew support for the controversial Halsey Wharf extension option known as B3 as key councillor Chris Darby said he would not support it.

Instead, councillors voted to shortlist B1, a cluster of bases in Halsey, Hobson and Wynyard Wharf East, and B2, a cluster of bases on Wynyard Wharfs western and eastern side.

  Auckland Councils preference is for a base to be spread across the Wynyard, Halsey and Hobson Wharves. The council is expected to put forward the cluster of bases on Halsey, Hobson and Wynyard Wharves as its preferred choice ahead of a December 14 decision.

The council wants the cluster option because it will open up new space on the waterfront for events, as well as setting up Wynyard Wharf as a future public and commercial destination.

This would come in at $124m, with an extra $18m for relocation of infrastructure and $90m in additional funding for associated work in the downtown area.

Auckland Mayor Phil Goff said the option would encroach less on the harbour and be about $40 million cheaper and eight months quicker to construct than others put forward. It would also allow for a great village atmosphere, he said.

LAWRENCE SMITH/STUFF Auckland Council and Team New Zealand did not share the same preference for the Americas Cup base in 2021. Despite recommending the option, a report to councillors pointed out a number of multifaceted issues.

Construction could be more complicated by operating across multiple sites. there are a greater number of commercial complexities to manage, the report said.

Reigning Americas Cup champions Team New Zealand originally said they wanted an extension of Halsey Wharf to host their defence of the trophy.

The site would best deliver for the event requirements, for public access and consolidating activities on one location to support the operation of the Village, the report said. However it would take longer and be more expensive, at $169 million.

On Thursday evening, Team New Zealand said taking that option off the table would seriously restrict the ability for the marine industry to benefit from the berthing of the super yachts.

That option would have also given the city maximum economic benefit, it said. The final plan for the Wynyard Basin option will need to reincorporate the lost super yacht berthage within the event perimeter.

We will continue to work constructively with council and government to progress the plans.

Visiting syndicates will start arriving in the city from 2019, and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment estimate the 36th Americas Cup will add $555m to $977m to the New Zealand economy.

Americas Cup Minister David Parker has backed a cluster of bases on the Western and Eastern side of Wynyard Wharf and Site 18.

Goff and council chief executive Stephen Town will negotiate with the government and Team New Zealand on the plan before sign-off on December 14.

as Clark Kent aka Superman.

The long-awaited live-action team up of Superman, Batman,Wonder Woman,The Flash,Aquaman, and

Cyborg, hit theaters last weekend to middling reviews and an underwhelming box office.

In the months leading up to Justice League's debut – and continuing after its premiere

– many have speculated how much Warner Bros. meddled with the final cut and how much was

changed by Joss Whedon's reshoots.

One talking point regarding the reshoots was the fact that Cavill didn't shave his Mission:

Impossible 6 mustache when he returned to the Superman suit, with Warner Bros. instead

opting to use visual effects to remove it in post-production.

Whether or not the CGI is obvious depends on which viewer you ask, but for those who

can spot the VFX, it does offer some insight into how many of Superman's scenes in Justice

League were from Whedon's reshoots.

Now, one of the visual effects artists on Justice League revealed the lengths to which

Warner Bros. was willing to go to have Cavill shave his mustache and prevent the CGI mustache

removal entirely.

According to Reddit user LDN_Film, a visual effects artist on Justice League, said Warner

Bros. offered to pay to have facial hair added to Cavill for Mission: Impossible 6 so that

he could shave his mustache ahead of Justice League reshoots.

LDN_Film said the VFX team did test effects on footage of Cavill as Superman to prove

how much easier it is to add a beard,mustache than hide it.

However, Paramount rejected the offer.

Director Christopher McQuarrie previously teased the reason Cavill couldn't shave

his Mission: Impossible 6 mustache for Justice League, saying fans will understand once the

spy thriller hits theaters next summer.

Cavill has since poked fun at the "moustache fiasco" and the discussions between Warner

Bros. and Paramount, while Affleck addressed Cavill's facial hair during the press tour

for Justice League.

While most involved seem to have a good sense of humor when it comes to the amount of discussion

surrounding Superman's upper lip, LDN_Film's comments hint that there was a great deal

of back-and-forth behind the scenes between the studios.

Eventually, though, they landed on Warner Bros. using CGI to remove Cavill's mustache.

Still, the mustache "fiasco" is just one point of contention surrounding Justice League.

Arguably the bigger debate since the film hit theaters is whether fans will receive

a Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, with a petition receiving more than 100,000 signatures.

Based on that number, fans are more concerned about the bigger changes the reshoots made

to the original vision for Justice League than Cavill's mustache removal.

LDN_Film also addressed whether fans would actually get to see that Snyder cut of Justice

League, but those who enjoyed Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will

no doubt hold out hope for a glimpse of what the original plan was – perhaps starting

with the scenes Cavill filmed as Superman during principal photography for Justice League.
