Home Remedies for Swimmer�s Ear 1.

White Vinegar

White vinegar is one of the most effective remedies for swimmer�s ear.

Its slight acidic nature helps fight the infection by cleansing the ear and removing traces of

bacteria.

Combine equal amounts of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a bowl.

Lie on your side with the infected ear facing up.

Use a dropper to put 2 or 3 drops of the solution into your ear.

Wait 5 minutes, then get up and tilt your head to allow the solution to drain out of

your ear.

Repeat this remedy 2 or 3 times a day.

Keep Ear Dry

Be it ear discharge or a severe infection, it is important to keep your ear as dry as

possible.

Any moisture in the ear will serve as a breeding ground for bacteria.

To fight the infection, it is important to keep the growth of bacteria in check.

After exposure to moisture from swimming or bathing, dry your ears thoroughly with a soft

towel or cloth.

Tilt your head to the side to help water drain out of your ear canal.

You can also use a blow dryer to dry your ears.

Put the blow dryer on the lowest setting and hold it at least 1 foot away from the ear.

To prevent getting water in your ear canals when bathing, coat 2 cotton balls with petroleum

jelly and put 1 in each of the outer ears.

Warm Compresses

If there are signs of pus formation or fluid discharge from the infected ear, try warm

compresses.

The heat will promote the flow of fluid and ease the pain.

Soak a washcloth in hot water and wring out the excess water.

Put the moist washcloth over the infected ear for 2 minutes, then tilt your head to

promote fluid drainage.

Take a break for 10 minutes and repeat the process as needed.

Alternatively, put a heating pad wrapped in a towel on your bed.

Lie down and put the infected ear on this heating pad for a few minutes at regular intervals.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Another effective remedy that you can try at home is hydrogen peroxide.

This natural antibacterial agent helps dry out the fluid in the ear and eliminate the

infection.

Get 3 percent hydrogen peroxide from the market.

Lie down and use a dropper to put 3 or 4 drops of it into the affected ear.

Remain in that position for a couple of minutes.

Then, tilt your head to allow the fluid to drain out of your ear.

Repeat this remedy a couple of times a day.

Garlic

Garlic is a good remedy to fight off ear infections.

Its antimicrobial properties and natural pain-relieving qualities help kill the bacteria responsible

for the infection and reduce the pain associated with it.

Crush a few garlic cloves and add them to 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Heat the oil until the garlic turns brown.

Strain it and allow the oil to cool.

Put 2 to 4 drops of this oil in the infected ear.

Do this once or twice a day.

Also, consume 2 to 3 raw garlic cloves daily to speed up the healing process.

Note: Do not use this garlic oil if fluid is draining from your ear.

Breast Milk

The use of breast milk is a popular remedy for ear infections.

The natural antibodies in it help fight the infection quickly.

It also alleviates swelling and pain.

Lie down on your side with the infected ear facing upward.

Using a dropper, put a few drops of breast milk into the infected ear.

Wait for a couple of minutes, then tilt your head to drain out excess fluid.

Repeat every few hours as needed.

'He asked for nothing': The incredible story of how one woman, 27, has raised $110,000 in 12 days for a homeless veteran who gave her his LAST $20 for gas when she was stranded on the highway

A New Jersey woman who was helped by a homeless man last month after she ran out of gas on an interstate in Philadelphia has raised more than $110,000 for the selfless good Samaritan. Kate McClure, 27, started the GoFundMe campaign 12 days ago after she ran into trouble on Interstate 95 and Johnny Bobbitt Jr. , came to her rescue with his last $20.

Speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer, McClure said that she didnt know what to do when she pulled over on the deserted highway just before midnight.

My heart was beating out of my chest..

She phoned her boyfriend, Mark DAmico, 38, and asked him to come and get her.

It was then that Bobbitt Jr. emerged from the darkness and approached her car.

Ten minutes later, D'Amico said, she called me and said the guy brought her gas.

The former Marine veteran and EMT was concerned for her safety along the stretch of road and told her to lock the doors and stay in her car while he went to fetch the fuel.

McClure, who works for the New Jersey Department of Transportation said she didnt have any money to repay him that night.

We drove away and went on with our lives, D'Amico said.

But over the next few days the couple returned to the road several times to give him cash, clothes and food.

They also got to know him more and talked about his predicament.

Johnny said, Yeah, tell me about bad luck.

But don't get me wrong.

I'm here because of my own decisions.

I got nobody to blame but myself, DAmico said.

DAmico and McClure were struck by how Bobbitt refused to blame others for his situation.

I can't stop thinking about this guy.

I think about him all the time, DAmico texted McClure.

OMG! Me, too! McClure replied.

D'Amico gathered up old winter clothes, a black knit cap, and black insulated gloves.

He and McClure then bought him a six-pack of tube socks, a bunch of granola bars, and basic toiletries.

He was very excited, D'Amico said.

He shook my hand and he gave her a bear hug, McClure said.

He said he'd go to Wawa right away and buy dinner.

He loves the pepperoni hoagies..

And the pepperoni and cheese bagels, D'Amico said.

The couple said they were impressed by Bobbitts desire to share the gifts he received from them with his other homeless friends.

This, they say, inspired them to do more.

They all look out for each other, McClure said.

Mark and I got back in the car and we were like, Man, if we could change this guy's life.

And that's when we came up with the idea of GoFundMe.

Learning more about Bobbitt they resolved to get him back on his feet, but did not anticipate the level of generosity from the public.

After a few visits, she started the fundraiser with the hopes of using the money toward housing and other expenses for the 34-year-old Bobbitt.

I wish that I could do more for this selfless man, who went out of his way just to help me that day, she wrote on the fundraising page.

Donations have poured in, and the fundraiser has shattered its goal of raising $10,000 for Bobbitt.

McClure and DAmico said that they will manage all of the funds that have been donated to Bobbitt.

The cash will go toward renting an apartment for Bobbitt and paying for necessities like food, clothing, cellphone, and transportation.

He will also receive a small amount of cash for walking-around money.

During the course of her conversations with him, McClure learned that Bobbitt Jr is a homeless veteran, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Originally from the Raleigh, North Carolina area, he served in the Marines as an ammunition technician.

His Facebook page shows photos of happier times in his life, including a romantic relationship that ended in 2014.

Bobbitt also had career goals - training to be a paramedic and working long shifts.

He is seen playfully carrying a dog and smiling while standing beside a medical rescue helicopter.

In August 2014, he wrote that he wanted to be a flight nurse.

His life took an unfortunate turn that left him homeless in Philadelphia for the past 18 months.

Bobbitt fell onto hard times - encountering money problems.

He also turned to drugs and had several run-ins with the law.

His friends say he has a good heart and that if he wanted to he could be a doctor.

In November 2014, he posted an inspirational message on his Facebook page: It's never too late to turn it all around.

About 3,100 people had given to the campaign by Wednesday evening.

Driving into Philly one night, I made the mistake of thinking that I would be able to make it all the way down I- 95 with my gas light on, McClure wrote on GoFundMe.

Needless to say, I was wrong.

I never ran out of gas before, and my heart was beating out of my chest. .

I pulled over as far as I could, and got out of the car to head to the nearest gas station.

That's when I met Johnny.

Johnny sits on the side of the road every day, holding a sign. .

He saw me pull over and knew something was wrong.

He told me to get back in the car and lock the doors. .

A few minutes later, he comes back with a red gas can.

Johnny did not ask me for a dollar, and I couldn't repay him at that moment because I didn't have any cash, but I have been stopping by his spot for the past few weeks.

I repaid him for the gas, gave him a jacket, gloves, a hat, and warm socks, and I give him a few dollars every time I see him.

I wish that I could do more for this selfless man, who went out of his way just to help me that day.

He is such a great guy, and talking to him each time I see him makes me want to help him more and more.

One day I stopped to see him and had a few things in a bag to give him, one of which was a box of cereal bars so he could have something that he could carry around and eat.

He was very appreciative as usual and the first thing he said was "do you want one?" .

Another time I dropped off 2 Wawa gift cards and a case of water.

the first words that came out of his mouth were I can't wait to show the guys (there are 2 others he hangs out with and they all take care of each other). .

If just those 2 statements alone do not give you a glimpse of the good heart this man has I'm not sure anything will.

I am raising money for Johnny.

With the money, I would like to get him first and last month's rent at an apartment, a reliable vehicle, and 4-6 months worth of expenses.

He is very interested in finding a job, and I believe that with a place to be able to clean up every night and get a good night's rest, his life can get back to being normal.

Truly believe that all Johnny needs is one little break.

Hopefully with your help I can be the one to give it to him.

Please help this man get into a home.

It is already getting so cold out in Philadelphia, and I can't imagine what it will be like to be out there all winter. .

Any little bit will help.

Johnny has reflected on his life, D'Amico said.

He just needs a push in the right direction.

I can't imagine how hard it is.

He's from the Carolinas.

He's a thousand miles from home with nothing, nobody.

Things probably snowballed to where he's living under a bridge..

Bobbitt told the couple that he wants to live in Robbinsville, New Jersey and work at the Amazon warehouse.

He definitely has the drive, D'Amico said.

He doesn't want to be on the streets anymore.

He wants to be a functioning member of society and not be sitting on a guard rail in Philadelphia.

He knows where he's at and he knows what he has to do to dig himself out, D'Amico said.

It's almost impossible to dig himself out if he has nobody and nothing.

If we can raise enough money to set him up for a few months, where he doesn't have to worry about where he's going to sleep and what he's going to eat, then he can get a job and go about his life. .

'Winter has come' for Iranian charged with HBO hack. The indictment claims Behzad Mesri is a former Iranian military who stole unaired episodes of several HBO series for ransom. US prosecutors have said winter has come for an Iranian man charged with hacking HBO, stealing episodes and demanding a ransom.

  According to federal authorities, Behzad Mesri is a former Iranian military contractor and a member of the Turk Black Hat Security hacking team.   The indictment accuses Mr Mesri of computer fraud, wire fraud, extortion and identity theft,.

Acting US attorney Joon Kim told a news conference in Manhattan on Tuesday that HBO had become a victim of a malicious cyberattack and, although Mr Mesri was in Iran and could not be arrested, he would face consequences.

Today, winter has come for Behzad Mesri. For the rest of his life - and hes a relatively young man in his late 20s - he will never be able to travel outside Iran, he added.

The memory of American law enforcement is very long.   Mr Kim confirmed the 29-year-old Iranian national had been added to the FBIs most wanted list.

He is accused of conducting hundreds of website defacements using the online hacker pseudonym Skote Vahshat against websites in the United States and elsewhere around the world.

  Court papers accuse Mr Mesri of threatening HBO and demanding to be paid a non-negotiable ransom - approximately $6m (£4.5m) worth of Bitcoin.

After 1.5 terabytes of data were stolen from HBO servers last summer, an email was sent to all HBO employees reading: Hi to All losers Yes its true! HBO is hacked! Beware of Heart Attacks!!!.

Mr Kim declined to say if HBO had offered or paid any ransom. The US Attorney also denied that the charges against Mr Mesri were part of a coordinated Justice Department effort to increase pressure on lawmakers to stiffen sanctions against Iran.

Teen Dad Shoots 3-Year-Old In The Head, Kills Him For 1 Simple Reason

A Texas man is facing charges after he killed his 3-year-old stepson who was jumping on

the bed.

An emergency 911 call placed from a trailer park in Clay County, Texas, said a 3-year-old

child had been shot in the head and was thought to be dead, according to KDFX.

Witnesses told authorities the child, Dominic Castro, was jumping on a bed with a loaded

gun on it, causing it to accidentally discharge, The Dallas Morning News reports.

On further investigation, it was revealed that Dominic's 18-year-old stepfather, George

Coty Wayman, threatened to shoot the boy if he did not stop jumping on the bed.

Wayman pointed the gun at the boy and fired a shot, according to officials.

The bullet hit Dominic in the back of the head, notes the arrest warrant affidavit.

Dominic was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Dominic's mother was staying at a nearby home after the incident, KDFX reported.

The family's neighbor, Matthew Biehl, told KDFX he was shocked by the incident.

"Wow … I would've never thought in my life I would see something like that happen

around here, especially in a peaceful little place like this," said Biehl.

Biehl said he wasn't at home when Dominic was shot, but arrived shortly after.

"It was just an unbelievable sight," said Biehl.

"They landed a helicopter in the intersection.

I didn't know exactly what was going on.

When I found out what was going on I couldn't believe it."

"We don't want no more of it," said Biehl.

"We want to put a stop to this, that's all I know."

The boy's father has been behind bars for the past two years and was recently denied

parole.

Wayman was arrested and charged with capital murder and criminal trespassing in connection

with Dominic's death.
