what's good everybody I'm blitz5 in the month of December is finally here winter
is coming and I have the latest and greatest updates for pub G on the Xbox
one yesterday being Friday and also the end of November we received the fifth
and final Xbox community weekly post this is something that Xbox has been
doing on a week-to-week basis to update all of their players on what's going on
in the community updates bug fixes and future content and with this post they
also announced that they're moving these weekly posts to bi-weekly which is every
other week and they basically explained that since launching the 1.0 version of
the game they've been focusing on stability and optimization improvements
and that they really just don't have enough information to be putting out a
full post each and every week obviously they still are putting out new content
but this stuff isn't coming out on a week to week basis so this decision
totally makes sense honestly I don't care how much they post as long as they
say transparent and update us on what's coming out that's all I really want to
know as an Xbox / pub G player so moving on from that with this post we did get
an interesting announcement and that is the return of pts which is coming next
week to the Xbox one servers so this is really interesting for a couple reasons
well first before I get into that they said this is pending QA and
certification so basically when any video game does any updates on the
Microsoft servers they have to pass everything through Microsoft and through
different channels so as long as that gets accepted that's what they mean this
will be on the Xbox server next week and with this we are going to be able to
test out the graphical settings options which is for the Xbox one X players and
we'll see if they have any options for the og players and also the 1s players
this is basically going to be an option and whether or not we want enhanced
graphics sacrificing a little bit of performance or if we want a little bit
less graphics and better performance so I think I'm gonna be on the latter half
of that I know for streaming and stuff like that people probably want to see
better graphics but real basically performance is where it's at especially
pub G's still struggling in those kind of situations with framerate drops in
close-quarter combat and with certain objects in the game like smoke so for me
I'm gonna do whatever I can to improve the performance as much as possible but
it's something gonna be interesting to see what the game looks like when we
change around these options so when they make this available I'll go into the pts
server and try to make a video about that so you can see the different
quality enhancements and how much it really does improve the
performance and I'm also curious to see whether or not the Scorpion and the
first person field-of-view slider is going to be included in this iteration
of the pts I mentioned that because they said all three of these things including
the graphical setting options are going to be in the next update coming this
mid-december but they didn't announce it in the community post whether these
things are going to be in it or not just the graphical setting options which we
just talked about so obviously when this comes out I'm sure there have another
post and I'll hop right into the pts server and let you guys know what's
going on with that and now moving on from the pts let's talk about the snow
map hashtag winter is coming this was previously called D hora talk
and now it seems like this is going to be named the candy we haven't heard any
news about this so I think it's safe to assume that this is not going to be on
the pts and not being launched on December 7th 2018 which is the same day
as ps4 there's been a lot of rumors out there and people thinking that it's
coming out in December 7th on the Xbox people have been asking me in the
youtube comments and on stream and personally I really don't believe that
this map is coming out until later in December during the official launch
trailer of it they said that it was coming in winter 2018 and officially
winter does start on December 21st so I think that it's gonna come out sometime
between that window of December 21st and the end of the month which is December
31st so they kind of have that 10 to 11 day window hopefully they've released
this before the holiday season because a lot of people go away I think it will
kind of just be a missed opportunity but I know that video games do like to
release content around this time because there's a lot of people getting games
during the holidays and on Christmas so we'll see what happens and to build up
some hype I'm going to link a video down in the description box below
from the reddit user all the news is good news that's also his YouTube
username he did another video recreating VD Horo talk map fuck nd I think this
was the same guy that created the original recreation of the map they took
some data mined information and then put it into some kind of program I guess and
developed this kind of 3d modeling of the map and this is a recreation of it
and this one is a lot better it has a lot more information a lot more
buildings a lot more details of the map so I definitely recommend giving this a
look or giving it a watch really interesting and I'm really hyped up for
this map I think it might be the best map to date because we're kind of
in-between sanaka and errand girl which are my two favorite maps and
the fact that it's going to be winter it's just going to be incredible so
definitely go check that video out and then eventually in the future we'll be
seeing some new content related to this map eventually a night mode night vision
all of that stuff which really we don't have that much information on right now
kind of just teasing it for the moment and that's basically it for this
community weekly post it wasn't a ton of information here I just wanted to make a
video about it doing the latest and greatest stuff
heading into December and I also kind of wanted to put a PSA out there I
mentioned this in the podcast which we've been recording which is the final
circle and that is that you guys should be hard restarting your xbox at least
once a week especially if you guys are playing pub G really often so we found
out during the previous community post that pub G is having issues again with
memory storing and the caching and that over time it actually hurts you're
loading the system quality graphics and all that stuff so I kind of noticed this
as well because I create content for YouTube obviously and it looked like pub
she wasn't looking that good and then I hardly started my xbox and it looks
great again looked like typical Xbox one expo so it turns out that this is the
solution so I definitely recommend doing this I've been doing it three to five
times a week now especially because I've been streaming a lot of pub G so
definitely make sure you guys do this I'm sure it might affect some other
games as well but definitely for pub G this is really huge it's unfortunate
that this is just kind of the situation that we're in but in any case I hope you
