the funniest thing in the world I got this old iPhone box right...this came from
my iPhone 6 before I upgraded my iPhone. And I was about to get ready and throw
it away because I'm like "let me throw this box away" um sadly but surely
because I do live in Chicago and at the moment I'm like I don't want to
keep leaving this box on the side of the car door because I feel like
that's kind of setting myself up to possibly, you know, somebody to break in
the car thinking is the iPhone in the car but I thought to myself why throw
the Box away mm-hmm when I could do a prank. So I had some
wrapping paper in the trunk y'all can see is sticking out from right there
because I'm wrapping Christmas presents and I decided to rip a little piece on a
wrapping paper off right here. And what I'm going to do is wrap this "gift". Let me
show y'all. So I'm a pretty much wrap this up. I think what I'm going to do is wrap
this iPhone up and trick my mom into thinking that I got her a early
Christmas gift like I couldn't just wait I wanted to give it to her today because
I'm on my way to her house right now. Um and what I'm gonna do y'all it's going to
be funny because my mom got an Android, and she swear up and down like "girl I'm
get me a iPhone one day, girl I'm a get me a iPhone". "Hashtag crown on, level
up baby, boss up".That's how my mom talks, right. So I'm going to be like "girl I'm going to
help you boss up girl". And then I'm going to give her the iPhone and record her
reaction. So I'm going to wrap this up I'll be back to show you guys when I wrap it

Are Trailing Stop Loss Orders Bad for Intraday Trading? And, Should You Trade in the First 1/2 Hour? -- with David Moadel
welcome to looking at the markets with David Modell this one is dedicated to
all you intraday traders out there you day traders but if you're not a day
trader that's cool you can watch this and learn something as well I found an
interesting and controversial article this is from market geeks.com
and I will put a link in the description below this video so you can click on and
read the original article if you want to and they say a couple of controversial
things you might or might not agree with it so let's see first the first thing
they say and this is only for day trading or intraday trading is about
trailing stop loss orders and I made a video if you don't know what trailing
stops are I made a video explaining what that is and I'll put that in the
description below this video as well I'll put a link for that so you can
click on that and learn all about trailing stops alright so what they did
or what they said they did is back tested thousands of stocks and hundreds
of commodity futures and their test results apparently showed that trailing
stops limit profits this is only for day trading limit profits by approximately
30% Wow and furthermore reduce the percentage of profitable trades from 60
percent down to 40 percent Wow so their conclusion is don't move your
initial stop-loss when day trading don't use a trailing stop that moves just set
a stop loss and just leave it there don't trail it that's what they're
saying I'm not saying it they're saying it so let's see the article trailing
stops lock in profits to minimize risk while trailing stops play a very
important part in short-term in swing trading they don't recommend that
traders use trailing stops for intraday trading after back testing thousands of
stocks and dozens of futures and currency contracts they found that using
trailing stops for intraday trading actually lowers your profit potential by
about 30% what the test results demonstrated was that using trailing
stops when entering and exiting positions during the same day actually
limited profit potential and prevented positions from realizing their full
range for the day when changing the parameters to leave the original
stop-loss in place the percentage of winning traits increased from 40 to 60
percent and profit potential increased as previously stated as well this
clearly communicates that limiting risk by using trailing stops to lock in your
profits actually decreases profit and increases loss over time keep in mind
that this test was performed during intraday trading it did not did not
include holding positions overnight interesting I can neither confirm nor
deny whether this is true but this is what they say and it's really
interesting because when I made a video about trailing stop loss orders I was
pretty positive about them you know I have not done extensive back testing
like this individual says they did but you know I found they're pretty good but
that's just my personal experience you have to make your own decisions and hey
maybe they're right maybe for day traders or intraday traders maybe it's
not so great to use trailing stops maybe it's better just to you know put a limit
order a stop-loss order and just leave it there and just let you get stopped
let yourself get stopped out at that price or not during the day so that's
interesting and here's the other controversial thing do not make trading
decisions during the first half hour the trading day again only for day traders
another important mistake many beginners make when applying intraday technical
analysis is making decisions during the first half hour the trading day I want
to make something clear from the start executing orders during the first half
hour and making trading decisions are two separate things so they clarify that
particular point if you have an existing signal from the previous night or a
stop-loss order in place and these are trades triggered and executed during the
first half hour of the day you're just following your trading plan and that's
what you should be doing so he's saying that's a different situation for example
if you're a swing trader and you had a position overnight and you get stopped
out or make a trading decision the next you know the half hour first half hour
the next day that's not what he's talking about
what I'm referring to is making new trading decisions changing your trading
plan or order placement based on what occurs in the first half hour of the day
this is a very common beginner mistake and something you should avoid doing the
first half hour of the day is mostly trading noise and emotional volatility
interesting ok after the first half hour the market sets the tone for the rest of
the day and allows you to make less emotional trading decisions hmm okay
I've heard that before don't trade during the first half hour
the day some people have said some people also also include the last half
hour of the day which is also tends to be more volatile although it includes

so if it is your affiliate link
Traffic for you is a person who clicks on your affiliate link. If it is your website

If it's a real brick and mortar business if it's a physical building is the people that actually come to your store. Okay?
for an affiliate marketer traffic are people who actually click your link,
your affiliate link I should say, or go to through your sales funnel if you do sales funnels
All right, and like I said before there are two types of traffic. The first one is called paid traffic and
That's where you pay two customers or leads to come to whatever offer that you are bringing
The second one is free traffic
And that is what we're going to be talking about during this video. Free traffic is also called organic traffic

what are the pros and cons to free and

okay, you don't have to pay for it and
In this day and time where things are expensive you have bills to pay

Like I'm doing talking to you or whether you are writing stuff down and submitting it somewhere
You have to build content and that will get people to know who you are and also see if they like you or not
So it also helps you build your brand build who you are and give you an authority in the niche that you're in
Also, it will cause for better and loyal
customers or followers
In YouTube, you'll have subscribers people who will click. Yes
I want to know more about this person and their channel and whenever they are posting to youtube or whatever
they're posting a video. That is a subscriber that will be your follower. On Instagram or Twitter

so if you use the free traffic methods you get that type of

Paid methods. All right. So what are the cons to free traffic. Free traffic takes time.
You know, you're not just going to be able to click a button and send out a message and within a day
thousands of people are coming to your
Affiliate link or to your traffic source or to your website or whatever
It takes time to build you're gonna have to build
people getting to know you people starting to like you people starting to trust you and that is how
You're going to build your business and that's how people are going to start giving you money
And you start making money based on the fact that they know like and trust you through the free traffic methods also
It takes consistency. You can't be here one day posted on your blog and then take a 2-week vacation
People's attention spans are short. They're not gonna be like ok
I'm gonna wake up a month and hope that they come back. Your loyal ones they might but
The ones that you know pop in like oh you're cool
They're not gonna wait two months for you to figure out what you want to say. So it takes consistency
You're gonna have to upload
Consistently whether it's weekly or two times a week or three times a week
You're gonna have to stay in front of your audience and make sure that you stay relevant in their eyes
Okay, you have to be able to help people you have to want to help people
If you don't help people
Then the free traffic method may not be for you
because people are going to realize and they're going to feel that you're authentic and they're gonna know whether
You have their best interests at heart. They don't care that you want money. They don't care that you're trying to start a business
They don't care that you're trying to be on the come-up. They don't care. They want to know do you have something of value

I want to get into business to help people but not everybody has that type of character
So if you're not one of them free traffic may not be for you.
You have to be able to give good content good value meaning. What does that mean?
What is valuable content means? It means that you have to provide a solution for whatever
issues the person is looking for. If the person needs to buy a Louis Vuitton purse
You have to be able to provide content for how they can get a good quality Louis Vuitton purse
Okay, if a person is down and they just need to laugh
You have to be the person that provides the comic relief
Okay, if you provide a solution to their problem
They will latch on to you and your traffic your free traffic will become a loyal
traffic source. Okay. Also, you have to put in the effort you have to research to learn
in the first
In the first example of free traffic source
You're gonna have to learn all the tricks and trades of that traffic source, you know how to do
the backlinks, how to do
The SEO
optimization for your website
If you don't know those things
They will keep you from getting the free traffic and to actually pop up first in the search engines
Which we're going to talk about a little later
also, you have to put in the work and you have to be patient in this world you either trade in time for money or
You trade in money for time.
So if you want things free, if you don't want to pay for it
You're gonna have to put in the time to make it work and you're gonna have to be patient
to allow it to work. Okay, so let's get into our first
free traffic source. Okay, that's called SEO or search engine optimization
and basically it's the process of getting free traffic from a search engine. So search engines are like Google, Bing, Yahoo!
There are others but those are the three that everybody talks about
Okay, so you want to get free traffic from them. It takes a lot of learning. You gotta know what to do
You gotta know what keywords to put in and what tags to use
And it takes a really long time to be effective and it takes consistency
You can't just do it one time and think that it's gonna be always going to be great
No, you have to continue putting content out there
valuable content like what I just talked about before and then you have to
put those tags in there and you have to do your
backlinks and you have to do your research and you have to hook up with good people that will help you out in that
in that arena, so
I've heard that it could take as much as six to nine months to
pop up as number one in one of the search engines so
If you have the patience to do it go for it
I mean, it's a great opportunity and people, you know, make great money from it because it still works
Though it is one of the older traffic sources it works, you know
So make sure that you are doing what you need to do
Learn what you need to learn put valuable content out there and you will definitely be successful
okay, the next thing is
YouTube hello, okay
what surprised me about YouTube is actually it is a search engine because people actually search for what they're looking for and
Results pop out pop up, even though it's video. It is a search engine, which is cool and
It is very effective in building your brand because it's more effective than the search engine optimization
which YouTube is searchable on the
Search engines as well
but for vlogs, you know people who are lazy and they don't want to read you know, it keeps
It keeps people engaged, you know
They get to watch a video. They get to see your face. They get to interact and engage with you
and so it's a very good source of
Branding because people get to know your character and they get to know it really quickly, you know

they don't pull up a whole list of community groups that you can be a part of and if
You know how to make those sparkly t-shirts
Or you know how to, what is that called,
Bedazzle a t-shirt and people are looking for that then you can offer your services
On the forum and people will actually seek you out
based on the information you give and how
Relevant, it is to their needs ok
Basically, it's about helping people just like all the other ones you got to help people in order to be successful,

What Action Figures Am I Excited For In 2019 - New Years Eve Special - Duration: 18:46.
hey guys Miho supersorrell thank you very much cheering so as 2018 draws to a
close today I thought I'd just share with you kind of my thoughts and
feelings going into 2019 I'm very excited about what's in store for 2019
we've got a lot of big movies coming out now let me just move the camera over
here so I can play with the mouse here while I'm talking to you because we've
got a vengeance end game now nothing has been announced toy wise other than a few
legends nothing's really renounced as to what's coming out and when we'd see with
a finicky war a lot of the toys never made it to the UK there was like two or
three waves to those six-inch figures and we only got the first wave in the UK
and all the rest of them are ridiculously priced online so we have
the toy claps as well in the UK of the toys Aras went down this year so maybe
it's to do with that I don't know but Marvel's Avengers end game will begin a
lot of toys for that there's also Captain Marvel on the
horizon and I've got a few of her toys announced already and I'm gonna show you
some everything I'm looking forward to in a few moments but there's also a
bunch of other films that are coming out that have not been announced for toys
yet including twice story four we've got the release of light well it's not it's
the remake of lion Kings live-action same with Aladdin there's a new Aladdin
film there's the Dark Phoenix x-men movie now that probably won't make many
toys to do with that but a bunch of x-men comic book stuff will probably
launch about that time without moving this is also releasing Dumbo and then
we've got Hellboy as well now I know there's not gonna be many toys around
the Hellboy because of the H difficult a movie but they usually release a bunch
of collectible stuff so hopefully we'll get a new Hellboy action figure cuz they
romp Elmen Hellboy figures that they release their ridiculously priced now
you can't get them for the love of money and when you do find them they're
ridiculously priced so I'm hoping some new held by merchandise will drop with
that movie there's also the lego movie - I'm very excited about that
Necker have also announced a bunch of action figure releases I've got some
already announced someone waiting for photos of the include like and by eighth
inch shorter and also again we'll talk about Necker in a few minutes we've also
got the Shazam movie not sure how much gonna go down is a DC
movie but we'll wait and see Star Wars as well towards the back end of the year
oh my god Star Wars back again on our screens so
we're gonna have a boatload of new stuff and there's probably gonna be a false
Friday because this is like a proper Star Wars movie it's an epic it's an
episodic movie so episodes and is definitely gonna have a false Friday so
look forward to hearing about that spider-man far from homies next year as
well this is so gonna be a load of merchandise for that Godzilla the king
of monsters is coming out many black international all sort of a reboot of
the many black franchise now with Chris Hemsworth and Liam Neeson should do well
that movie hoping it's gonna do well I'm hoping the release of toy line could do
with some action figures for men in black new mutants as well we finally
getting the new mutants movie next year and isn't that is that new joke a movie
releasing right here as well another donor load of stuff for a I'm not sure
they might without joke a movie and detective Pikachu as well there's gonna
be merchandise for that I hope they release a Pikachu with Ryan
Reynolds voice I'm buying that and I'm reviewing it if they do frozen - there's
gonna be massive release for frozen house trainee dragon we've already done
the toys for that that's coming out pretty soon I think but frozen - is
gonna have a massive toy release I'm just dying I just know it so if they
will see that um what else have we got Artemus fowls coming out and that's
based on a book I'm not too bothered about but we're gonna be getting em the
new Terminator movie that I'll probably get some toys released for it yeah Sonic
the Hedgehog movie as weird as it looks hopefully we'll get some toys for that
as well wonder Parks coming out will be toys for that I think that's gonna be
hit toy wise for the year there's also a film there it's called Hobbes and Shaw
isn't that from Fast and Furious yeah fast and furious presents Hobbes and
Shaw and upcoming American film directed by David leach is a spin-off of fast and
furious Oh No
ah the rock wide is the rock II don't even need the money I would say you need
the money break doesn't know I sure how that's gonna fall out but guys let's
take a few minutes to look through some of the toys that I'm most excited about
for 2019 now I said don't forget these are just
some of the newest stuff that's being announced really some stuff I've talked
about before that I'm excited about but there's a lot of stuff we're still
waiting to get announcements for so please bear with me and we'll talk about
the new stuff that's coming out which I'm quite excited so first thing we're
looking at here looks like we're gonna be getting a new Supergirl again I
actually like the design of our Supergirl the new Wonder Woman looks
pretty awesome as well I had a new Superman there that looks pretty cool
and these figures do look pretty nice these are going to be DC collectibles so
there shouldn't be affected by the whole MIT's health situation but who knows
those figures look pretty nice that I can't wait to get my hands on that
Supergirl Ace Ventura from NECA here looks pretty awesome even seems to come
with is it called spike I believe is called his little monkey even comes with
him as well it's a really cool action figure I think it really captures Jim
Carrey's likeness quite well and I love the little half licking everything he
just looks like a 2-inch or can't wait to get that in hand and see how this
feels whether that is cloth material on him or whether it's more of a vinyl and
stuff and how wait to see what it feels like it looks to be a great action
figure I was a big fan of Ace Ventura growing up so can't wait to get my hands
on that figure this year it's gonna be a great great figure that now blink is a
figure that I've been dying to get my hands on for a while obviously she
appeared in a couple of the x-men movies the dawn of Future Passed I think she
appeared in for a brief couple minutes but this is her comic book variant she's
been coming back recently in the exiled comic so I'm really excited to get my
hands on this figure Plus obviously with the rise of the TV show x-men the gifted
she's become she well she's a major character in that so I'm glad these
figures coming out I can't wait to get my hands on it as part of that x-men
wave that's coming it's gonna be a great wave that I've got another figure in
this in this law as well that's gonna be from my wave but blink just looks
awesome cannot wait to get my hands on I like said she's gonna be an awesome
thing to have in the collection oh my god evany Mars coming and let's just
make sure after Ted of someone's corpse it looks a great
figure and I can't wait for the second part of the infinity war stuff to come
out this figure is gonna be awesome I hope they release the rest of Thanos
children this figures gonna be awesome I need this to go in my Doctor Strange
figure I want to recreate that scene from the movie so this legend is
definitely one I'm gonna be getting I would endure who thought if that's me
exclusive or whether it's gonna be part of a bath would be nice to get maybe
another thermos bath in a different armor for the new movie who knows but
yeah I can't wait to get my hands on this figure now the solo movie wasn't my
favorite of the Star Wars movies but it's by far not my least favorite
so Solo came out this last year and the toy line is slowly coming out and this
is part of the Black Series line from Star Wars and has bro it looks okay you
know he's an Solo in his resume trooper gear really so yeah we'll get it
we'll see what it's like am i actually like whether mine a little bit might
customize it and make him a bit more more do you like in the movie but either
way it's gonna be another Black Series to collect I'm probably gonna get this
one depends who else is in the wave with him but definitely probably get this one
you know me and my Star Wars I have to get them all but him yeah this was
probably one of the ones that I was excited about but then out after looking
it for a few minutes I'm kind of like me I'm not that bothered but I will
probably get it yeah Stowers needs to do something drastic
because I am slowly losing interest and getting more into the Marvel stuff over
this past year so let's hope stowers continue around with the episode 9 stuff
now some stuff that was announced was new Jurassic Park merchandise look at
those action figures of the characters from the movie there I really want those
and obviously they've got the new dinosaurs little bit more articulated
and gonna be in scale with them so yeah can't wait to get my hands on these I'm
not buying any more of the regular stuff until this has been fully and realized
that announced these look like they've got a lot more articulation to them they
just look brilliant I can't wait to get my hands on them hopefully I might see
these at London Toy Fair because I haven't seen these fully announced yet
anywhere really the kind of appeared at Toy Fair I think in 2018 so let's hope
that Mattel have got this stuff on you know a look out on for 2019 as well
can't Waveland toy fair right around the corner so I'll get a
lot more stuff and a lot more news for you as I go to the Toy Fair
but you looking forward this line to let me know now I resisted the urge to get
dr. Aphra in her regular attire sorry in her 6 3 inch line rather waited for this
6 inch figure to come out and I'm really excited for 6 inch one so I will be
getting the 6 inch to go with the rest of my figures and I do normally go for
the 3 inch lines I'm a big sucker for 3 inch lines but I do prefer the basic 3
inch line rather than a black series but this is definitely coming out in a 6
inch so I need this in 6 inch scale I've been a big big fan of the comic books
she's a world with Vader a few times in the comic books and things so really
want this figure so I can do some nice dioramas with her and some nice photos
and stuff and hoping her droids come with her as well or whether they'll come
separately later on in the 6 inch scale but yeah we definitely need this figure
and I can't wait for it we're slowly completing the rest of the Rebels line
one finger at a time it seems per year yeah this time it's Ezra Bridger really
can't wait to get my hands on him he comes with his helmet as well it's
awesome Annie's original blaster I think as much as it's cool to look at I wish
that I've gone for maybe season 3 or 4 Ezra wears a little bit older with the
shaved head and maybe coming to the lightsaber that can go different like
green or red or blue depending on how you see heads Ezra's future going you
know what I mean I'd love to see that but they've gone with the basic Ezra
from season 1 again yeah oh I wish they'd have gone for like season two or
three Asura like I said but yeah we'll see
I still want these figure either way I love rebels I love the TV series I wish
it wasn't gone but I know why they did it he wanted to end it properly this
time around obviously they didn't get to end Clone Wars properly which they're
now correcting this next year look forward to that too by the way but yeah
we're getting Ezra figure as always we need in Ezra so yeah can't wait to
complete the wave with that Ezra so as well as the six-inch line for
Captain Marvel from legends which I've already pre-ordered guys there's gonna
be a bunch of other things like dolls and all the figures coming out which I
am probably gonna collect especially it's doll line I'm really liking the
look of the dolls from this film and definitely gonna be picking this one up
I think the doll looks really nice and it seems to capture a likeness
pretty well and I think this is something that like my dog I would look
up to and play with so I'm glad you know the finally doing this and making the
dolls with this line so let's hope these two come out pretty well and let's hope
it is the starting the UK stalking them so we can get our hands on them
here's a secondary dollar from the line as well in the blue armor well turquoise
green you would say looks pretty cool I said I just can't wait to get my hands
on this wave of stuff there's a lot coming out for Captain Marvel I think
that think marvel of really you know they're putting out so much merch for
this movie that I think they know they've got a you know a hit on the
hands here so let's hope let's pray the film's great and let's hope the
merchandise is good too can't wait for it we're right around the corner of 2019
guys just one more day to go to get us there so can't wait to see these figures
come out of course I couldn't get out of this video without talking about my
animated series I have mentioned these figures before but it looks like we're
getting a rerelease of to face or a 'new to face we've had that before I think we
have that I don't know but we are getting the Scarecrow from the first
version of Batman animated series rather than the the new Batman adventures which
we got last time this is the traditional scarecrow so that is the figure I'm
mainly excited about but har DAC or hard a crow if you ought to pronounce it
that's gonna be a great figure as well obviously the robot Batman so really
looking forward to that line and probably won't get the whole wave on
this I might wait till they drop in price a bit but I probably will
pre-order scarecrow if he's available to pre-order separately and scarecrows
definitely the standout in that wave love that animated face can't wait to
get my hands on them seven marvel legends and Hasbro are gonna be kicking
the Deadpool cash-cow again this year and I'm not mad about it it's gonna be
also look at this scooter so obviously Deadpool - he rides off on
that little scooter and you've ever found that amazing and hilarious so
they're releasing a little scooter for daredevil a devil Deadpool obviously
they can't say outright this is Deadpool to scooter they never do that they
always say it's the comic book version so this is the scooter head that he'll
be riding on and I believe they are releasing a pink variant for gwenpool I
believe I may be wrong about this but I've seen whether it's customisation I
don't know but I have seen little pink vespers that that legend figure has been
riding on and I really hope it's real yeah can anyone confirm or deny in the
comments below for me but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere hopefully again
Toy Fair London we might get hands-on with some of these things there so
fingers crossed back to talking about NECA though and they're gonna be
releasing a Ken align again and this time it's the
re-releases of the Kenner t2 figures I really need this line I'll be
pre-ordering all three figures I'm hoping they do some more I would like a
new Sarah Connor figure so let's hope let's pray that we get some good figures
in this wave I really need that figure line look just so good need it need it
need it need it need it need it I love you stop baby are you gonna be
pre-ordering this one guys let us know so guys this isn't for everybody but the
lego movie part two will be dropping and they're releasing a blind bag series
again for it they've got a bunch of Wizard of Oz characters that are in this
which is making me get excited for this wave and there's also by the looks of it
a new and we've got The Wizard of Oz characters we've got some of the carrots
from the movie there and there's a couple more that apparently a hidden I
just want those I want the lion and the this Tin Man and the Scarecrow and
Dorothy with her I just I just need them so I'm not gonna collect the whole bunch
but I need the Wizard of Oz characters from that blind bag set what do you
think guys are you gonna be collecting them let me know in the comments
it's the re-release I've been waiting for it's finally happening Weapon X
Wolverine we did get a toy biz version of this a long long long long long time
ago long before I was collecting toy bears ones and I'm finally getting the
Hasbro re-release I need this figure so bad it's part of my childhood
I love Wolverine you know you guys know I collect all the Wolverine figures so
really excited can't wait to get my hands on that one it's part of the x-men
wave and it's coming like out wait and finally guys it seems with the the Star
Wars Destiny dolls and the popularity they kind of been getting it looks like
the Marvel secret rising secret warriors or the marvel rising TV series is gonna
be releasing the figure line this so far we're getting the doll line I haven't
heard anything about a six-inch line although I'm praying for a six-inch line
but in this series here when it does come out I will be
spider-gwen and i will begin Squirrel Girl not sure about the rest of the
series but definitely spider-gwen and Squirrel Girl and I've also seen that
spider-gwen also has civilian clothing whether or not that's underneath the
costume or what I don't know where this separate doll
I don't know Britney both so I'm definitely gonna be collecting those
next year as well so guys that's just the taste of things that are to come
don't forget I'm going to London Toy Fair I'm there for the press launch
which is gonna be the Tuesday the first day of the actual event I'll be in
London and I'll be definitely definitely definitely gonna be hitting so I felt
like I said and I'll be hopefully meeting with some of them I haven't
gotten confirmed yet but it's more or less confirmed I'm gonna be seeing a
bunch of people and so I'm really excited about going down there seeing
the toy lines that are coming out and doing some filming so I'll be doing a

cuz I'm gonna be meeting up with my rep from YouTube as well so hopefully I can
do a bit of filming around the YouTube building the YouTube space London but
also the Toy Fair is the big one I'm gonna be filming that the entire day

Donut County Review (sorry for ranting) - Duration: 6:41.
Donut County is silly.
Really really really silly.
And, I need to tell you, I feel silly for not enjoying it as much as everyone else seems
to.
What the hell is wrong with me?
Here's a video of me after I finished the game.
Why is everyone adding Donut County to their best of 2018 lists?
Ok.
I'll tell you.
It's because there are great parts.
Like this art style and the fact that this hole is an enjoyable mechanic.
It's not like any game I've played recently.
However that's not enough to land it on everyone's top ten list.
Donut County missed a great opportunity to be so much more.
I can't avoid thinking about that.
So, like I said, you can't miss these visuals.
They stick out against all the other indie games using dark brown samey colors.
I was incredible happy to be playing something so one of a kind.
Donut County grabs you from the start with it's casual storytelling and bright colors.
While you're playing there's so much to look at but it can still be described as simple.
The objects have just enough detail to keep your eyes entertained but everything is so
flat and of simple geometry.
It's especially enjoyable when the objects can be interacted with.
Pots will shatter, rocks will break apart, and sometimes you'll use a snake's tail
to raise the snake danger level.
It's not as scary as it sounds.
It's really the characters though where the developer is on another level.
The dialog is written so well that I can get a sense of each personality behind the character
without getting to know them.
This guy is such a dick!
He's the main character, BK, and everyone is trying to convince him he's a dick.
That's the game.
But I feel for him.
He wants a really cool quadcopter.
Anyway, you get to see all the character's houses and items before devouring them with
a hole.
So there's a lot there to digest.
This is the part of the game that made me keep playing.
The story is so silly, so over the top, it's hard not to love it.
Completely unique from anything else.
And that's not to take away from the mechanics of moving a hole in the ground.
It sounds dumb but it's fun.
The hole has a slight delay on the controls that make it feel great.
As if you are actually controlling it remotely.
Although it ends up being a game of, find exactly which object you can fit down the
hole next.
But playing on PC has an issue, you can finish the game in one sitting.
When playing each level one after another they all blend together.
Yes, there are different mechanics each level like, as I mentioned, using a snake's tail
or fire.
I can see how on mobile you might play the levels separately with a break between.
But on PC, in one sitting, there wasn't enough differences to keep me hooked.
It boils down to the size of the levels and how damn small they are.
I live in a world where my expectations grow as I get more into a game.
In Donut County at the start of each level I thought, "OK, here we go that last one
was small but this one, we'll see the game open up."
But it never happened.
I was delusional!
You know how it is.
You imagine how awesome the mechanics will grow and you anticipate the future levels.
I thought these levels were the start of something amazing.
I saw these incredible Voodoo Doughnuts in the window but when I got inside it was all
Krispy Kreme.
Maybe that's having unattainable expectations.
By the way I love doughnuts.
Best doughnut I've had so far was in London.
Moving on, a more relatable issue I DO have with the game is the elevator power up.
It's really underutilized and ends up being a MacGuffin.
You know that thing that has no other real bearing on the story but helps the writers
resolve the ending?
Funny thing is I know it wasn't created like that.
Donut County was originally a different game and still had this mechanic.
I went back and saw of the oldest footage
before it was called donut county and
it still had the ability to shoot stuff out of the hole
It wasn't an elevator then but
Still they added in as an elevator
and it feels like it ties up the ending
so tightly that I don't know how I feel about it
didn't know this until I did a little research, after I had played.
Anyway, the level issues become apparent by the final level.
That one expands on the mechanics so much and is what I expected much earlier in the
game.
There's different rooms, the level is pretty large.
You even have to collect items to open up new areas.
The elevator mechanic is finally used smartly.
It's everything I think the game should be but it's only one level.
There is so much left to explore mechanically from Donut County.
It's where all my frustration stems from.
So I had this whole rant written about mobile vs desktop but does that even matter?
How the game should have bigger levels for desktop but that seems unreasonable.
The main takeaway is that Donut County left a bad taste in my mouth.
It's impossible for me not to relate Donut County to Katamari Damacy and that's a huge
mistake.
It didn't live up to my expectations and left so much unexplored.
So much potential wasted.
That's my own problem though.
Overall Donut County is fun and a good game.
I like it but have trouble getting over myself.
Surprisingly it makes playing a hole in the ground fun!
It's mechanically simple but rich in story and learning about the characters drove me
to complete the game.
I really wish they went further and one to two minutes to complete a level isn't enough.
It's a very good casual game that shouldn't be taken seriously but I believe it to be
much better on mobile.
If you do grab it on desktop consider playing it in short spurts.

hey what's going on it's Steph here from StephJKing.com coming to you from
beautiful Brisbane Australia and Happy New Year's today is officially the last
day of 2018 which is totally mind-blowing so I hope you have a
wonderful New Year's Eve and New Years Day whatever that means for you if you're
gonna go out and enjoy it with friends and family or if you're going to rug up
or not rug up in Australia that's for sure but like chill out relax it's a bit
of Netflix or something like that I hope you have a lovely lovely time recently
you would have noticed I've been doing a lot of videos around my how to prepare
for the new year and this video is nothing different I wanted to share with
you a list of books that you should read for self development in 2019 so I want
to give you a couple of the books that I've read throughout 2018 that I really
really loved and then I'm also going to share with you my list of books that I
have saved on my Google Drive and also show you which ones that I'm about to
start reading as well but first things first let's go through my favorite ones
from 2018 now I do have some physical books here but there were a couple that
I also read well listen to on audible so I will speak to those ones at the end as
well but the first one is earthers hiring by Peter Kelly actually did a
full book review on this one so I will leave that link above for you
I think it's that side and also linked below if you want to go check that out
but this one was a really like an easy read the author is Australian so I kind
of felt like I wanted to support that anyway and I follow her on social media
and I just love her vibe and I love her energy and the message that she shares
with the world didn't disappoint that special so it's it's kind of written in
a way towards Millennials so my sort of age bracket and just how the world is
changing like how things are happening now from a
business perspective that back in the day or you know just even recently
there's a lot of hustle and grinding and whatnot whereas this book kind of talks
about just going into your flow and listening to like your intuition and
where you think you need to be and how you need to do things and just really be
true to who you are so it talks about stepping into your own what you can do
from like a business point of view in this day and age talks about money and
mindset and actually wrote my own money story because of this book and yeah that
was really good it sort of brought up some negative thoughts or feelings that
I had towards money that I didn't even realize I had so yes that's the first
book next one was money master the game by Tony Robbins this one I was
absolutely obsessed with and it's not you know it's quite a thick book but
this one I was literally like any spare time I had I was reading this book and I
think it's because just during 2018 for me there was a focus on getting my
budgeting sorted getting my fan finances sorted making sure I had the right
accounts open making sure that I was putting money into an investing account
so I could invest that money for it to work for me so this book was just really
perfect timing for me and I just absolutely loved it he pretty much talks
about all the different ways that you can invest your money he talks to all
the massive people like Warren Buffett who else was in there are so many people
so if you are interested in learning more about what to do with your money
and how to manage it then this is a fantastic book it is written more so too
I guess the American side of things so they talk about the 401k but if you're
Ozzie or in a different country in Australia we have superannuation and
superannuation is pretty much the same as a 401k so you can kind of it does
reference other countries so definitely pick that up for a read and then another
one by Tony Robbins is awaken the giant within now this is a
book that I am currently reading I am literally within the first few
chapters so not very far along but I'm loving this book already I'm really
finding that I really like the way that Tony Robbins writes and how he does his
books so I'm probably gonna go out and get a lot more of his books because I
really enjoy his style and just the messaging that he does so he just seems
to do a lot of research when it comes to his books which I really really like but
this one awaken the giant within take immediate control of your mental
emotional physical and financial destiny it just makes you realize the reasons
why you do things and the reasons why you may not have motivation in a
particular area and it's all about the fact that just from what I've read so
far anyway is that as humans we always seek out pleasure vast pain so all our
decisions all our actions everything we do in life is based on us trying to
remove pain and seek out pleasure and that's not just sort of like physical
pain it could be a pain that you've connected to a certain things so for
example it might be that you're trying to lose weight and previously you have
been on really restrictive diets you didn't enjoy it so now you have a pain
associated with losing weight so you then self-sabotage it as much as you
feel like motivated at the beginning and you really want to lose that weight and
you don't understand why you don't have like the motivation or the willpower to
be able to do it it's because you pretty much have a negative connection to
losing weight because of all the previous diets and your feeling of being
restricted and just that negative emotion towards that particular
situation so he actually then goes through and shows you how you can turn
that around so the habits that you want to get rid of how you then can associate
pain to it so you don't want to go back to it and then the good habits or things
that you do want to put attention on to that you may not
been successful in in the past it's changing your thinking around it so that
you can connect a feeling of pleasure to that so when you think about it it's not
ah but you know it's always so hungry and I felt really restricted when I had
to lose weight and it's like that's just not worth it to me you've then got this
more positive connection to that situation which makes you actually want
to go do it and the last two books are actually on audible so the first one was
crushing it by Gary Vaynerchuk it's pretty much about running a successful
business online so utilizing social media and how you can do that he pretty
much goes out and interviews all these people that have had success on
different platforms and they share their stories of what they've done and how
they were able to do it and it was just a really inspiring book to understand
that you can pretty much make money from anything this day and age and it made me
feel really grateful for being in such a time where we do have YouTube Facebook
Twitter Instagram it's really given a lot of people this awesome opportunity
to be able to be super successful and he just really dives into that in that book
so that's a good one if you do want to start looking at how you can make some
money online and the other one is the values factor by dr. John Demartini I
love dr. John Demartini his teachings and messaging I just really am connected
to you and I absolutely love this was a really great book particularly if you
are struggling with trying to determine what is most important to you and what
your life purpose is this really helped me figure out and own what my life
purpose is and be absolutely okay with it so it is a great book highly
recommend that one I highly recommend anything by dr. John Demartini
now I read a bunch of other books as well but those are the ones that just
really connected with me throughout the year some books I started and just did
not feel a connection to them so I actually didn't even finish reading them
and that may not be you know anything against the book it could have just been
that I wasn't ready for that messaging because I've read books for a second
time and I felt like I've gotten a lot out of
them so I won't talk about those books but I will go on and I'm now going to
show you my book list that I keep on my Google Drive so let's go have a look at
that so this is my book list here that I keep on my Google Drive so I'm able to
access it wherever I need and I've got quite a bit here if we scroll down
you'll see that you know I've got the title the author and then the category
next to it and you can see that I'm very much into wisdom and spirituality that
seems to be the topic of the books that I enjoy reading at the moment and that's
not to say that I don't enjoy reading about business or money or anything like
that it just seems to be that I get a lot out of those types of books and
that's just something that's really interesting me at the moment so I want
to read more and more and more about those types of things now how I put this
list together is I just listen to what other people are recommending so people
that are inspirational to me or my mentors or just even people that are in
a very similar community to me so for example the other day I was coming to
the end of one book and so I put out a post in a mastermind community that I'm
a part of and I just said what is your favorite books because I know that group
of people are on a very similar journey to me and have very similar interests so
I looked at all the books that they recommended and then I chose the ones
that really connected to me so the ones that are highlighted in green here
they're the ones that I really want to read next
so again dr. John Demartini the breakthrough experience I've heard
amazing things about that book so I really want to get my hands on it I
haven't been able to find it yet but I will the next one that I really want to
do is you are a badass at making money so I've actually already got that one on
audible so that's pretty much good to go it's just a matter of freeing up some
time I don't really like having multiple books on the go because I like to give
my undivided attention to one book and really study what they're saying to do
and what their advice is in that book so I don't listen to one audible book
and then read a physical book I'm doing one or the other next one is the
untethered soul by Michael a singer that one came up recommended quite a bit
that's very much spirituality so that should be an interesting read next one
is unlimited power by Tony Robbins again I really enjoy his books so I think that
I will like this one as well and the other one is journey of souls by Michael
Newton again this is a spirituality book the reason why I have a couple of
spirituality books on here that I want to read really soon is because in 2019
one of my goals is I want to learn more about that topic because I really
haven't up until now and I've started to sort of learn a little bit more about it
and understand different people's beliefs and I want to learn more so I
can come up with my own I guess conclusion and my own decision on what I
believe in I just want to learn more about the soul and what happens to the
soul after we leave this physical plane so those first five books that I was
talking about earlier the ones that I've already read I highly recommend reading
those ones for self development if you haven't already done so and then sharing
my list is just giving you some more ideas on books that you may want to read
as well so I will leave a list of the next five books that I'm going to read
the ones that were highlighted in green and I'll leave those below in the
description box for you to go check those ones out if you like as well let
