MEGHAN MARKLE's 'TV dad' Wendell Pierce has called out her real-life father Thomas Markle for his tendency to spill sensitive information to the press and bash the Royal Family

Mr Pierce played Meghan's on-screen father Robert Zane on Suits for five years and developed a special friendship with her in that time

Mr Pierce said: "If you care about Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, then that should be the first and foremost in your mind before you say anything

"If you love your daughter, just love your daughter. It's not for public consumption

"  Since the Royal Wedding in May, Meghan's estranged father has done a number of interviews claiming the Duchess has cut him off and is being controlled by the Royals

He told the Daily Mail last month: "They have Meghan treating her father in a way that Harry's mother, Princess Diana, would have loathed

That's not what Diana stood for." A source close to the Duchess said: "The stress of her father's continued indiscretion is upsetting but she's coping with it the best way she knows how with the support of her husband and BFFs

" Meanwhile, her on-screen father has offered nothing but support. On hearing of Meghan's engagement last year, he tweeted: "Congratulations to my TV daughter Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the news of their wedding engagement

"Harry you have her TV Father's blessing. Robert Zane approves." He even had a heart-to-heart with Meghan on set whilst filming the fictional wedding of her character Rachel Zane to Mike Ross, played by Patrick Adams

Mr Pierce told her: "Your life is going to change. "It's going to be amazing and I'm very happy for you, but I want you to know that I'm your friend

And no matter where you are or what's going on - if the fishbowl that you're in ever starts getting to you - you can call me

" Meghan was not engaged at this point in time, but Mr Pierce was astute enough to know that things were soon going to change - and fast

He said: "From the increased security around her, I figured something might happen

" When Mr Pierce first joined the show Suits as Meghan's on-screen father there was some racist backlash from those who did not know Meghan is mixed-race

The Duchess expressed surprise at the reaction, but Mr Pierce said racism "like gravity, it is there, it exists"

When asked about the Royal Wedding itself, Mr Pierce said: "I shed a tear. It was a beautiful wedding, with a wonderful amalgam of cultures on a beautiful day

You couldn't ask for better."

10-man Pirates beat Leopards as Gabuza is shown red for gesturing at the fans

10-man Pirates beat Leopards as Gabuza is shown red for gesturing at the fans.

Orlando Pirates edged Black Leopards 2-1 in Tuesday night's action-packed Absa Premiersghip game at Peter Mokaba Stadium that had it all - the good, the bad and, in the case of Thamsanqa Gabuza's behaviour, the weird.

Bucs took a 2-0 lead through Thivhavhudzi Ndou's 34th-minute own goal and Vincent Pule's strike in the 66th.

Joseph Mhlongo pulled one back in the 70th.

Bizarrely, Pirates played with 10 men from their opening goal in the 34th, though they were only officially reduced by a player in the 51st.

The culprit was big striker Gabuza, and the reviews of his actions that led to his double booking and red card from referee Thando Ndzandzeka will be much scrutinised in the post-match media analysis.

After missing a string of chances and having his own supporters on his back, Gabuza produced the cross that led to Ndou's own goal.

The big centre-forward then stormed off the field, and when he returned 17 playing minutes later seemingly feigning injury he was shown double yellow by Ndzandzeka.

Gabuza had a torrid first half.

The much-maligned striker whose bustling contribution is so often overshadowed by a lack of a final product in goals, seemed to come out with a point to prove.

He ran and jostled himself into scoring positions though, again, lacking a finish.

Bucs also were clinical in some incisive passing movements to pry Leopards open and set up their big striker for chance after chance.

Then his night got weird.

From another fine movement by Pirates the striker was in space down the left, putting in a low cross that Ndou sliced past his own goalkeeper into his net.

Gabuza had a rush of blood, charging next to his own dugout, ripping his shirt off and throwing it in frustration at his own fans.

He was angrily pushed back by his coach, Milutin Sredojevic.

But the striker just kept walking, into the tunnel and then the change rooms.

Bucs played the last 11 minutes of the half with 10 men.

In what seemed a ruse to try to prevent action against Gabuza, , six minutes after the restart the striker came limping out heavily strapped, even though he'd walked off unhindered.

Referee Ndzandzeka was having none of it.

His first delayed yellow seemed to be for the shirt incident, and second for the storm-off and unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Bucs initially did not let the strangeness of it all disrupt their focus.

They continued to plug away a man down and Xola Mlambo's chip found Pule steaming into a netball field of space and finishing.

The from Mwape Musonda's angled pass, substitute Mhlongo saw a first shot from the edge of the area blocked, then connected a fine dipping volley to the the looping rebound, pulling one back for Leopards.

PSL charge Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael for 'neglecting to speak to media'

PSL charge Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael for 'neglecting to speak to media'.

Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael has been charged by the Premier Soccer League for failing to attend a post-match interview at in an Absa Premieship game at King Zwelithini Stadium.

The outspoken coach will appear before the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee next week Tuesday.

A PSL statement on Tuesday afternoon read: "The Free State Stars coach has been charged with contravening the NSL Compliance Manual (Media Manual) after he failed to attend a post-match press conference/ mixed zone after the Absa Premiership fixture between Free State Stars FC and AmaZulu FC on 19 August 2018 in Durban.

"He will appear on 04 September 2018." The 58-year-old Belgian last week defended his failure to show up at a mandatory post-match press conference after his team's 2-1 league defeat to AmaZulu in Durban a week ago.

Eymael told TimesLIVE that he was extremely sick with flu on the day of the match but had nevertheless attempted to speak to the media after the game.

"I went for the TV interview after the match even though I had flu and I didn't eat on Sunday‚" he said.

"I actually went to the corridors looking for the print media guys but I didn't see you there.

"So what I had to do? Cry after you or wait for you like a foreman in the corridor?" The PSL's statement also outlined other matters that will also appear before the PSL DC.

They included: "Ayanda Dlamini and Baroka FC." The PSL said: "The Baroka FC goalkeeper‚ Ayanda Dlamini has been charged with misconduct after he allegedly threw a ball at a member of the youth programme (ball boy) during the Absa Premiership fixture between Baroka FC and Polokwane City on 18 August 2018.

"He will appear on 06 September 2018.

Another issue was for new Chippa United coach Eric Tinkler.

"The Premier Soccer League has called Mr Tinkler to appear in front of the DC for making comments that brought the League into disrepute on 24 February 2018 while he was still coaching SuperSport United FC‚" the PSL stated.

Another involved Chippa United.

The PSL said: "Following a pitch invasion during their Absa Premiership fixture against Black Leopards in East London on 18 August 2018‚ the Club has been charged with contravening the NSL Security Manual for failing to provide adequate security at a home match.

"They will appear on 06 September 2018.".

Meghan Markle's Australian visit for Invictus Games tour will be a 'baptism of fire', says royals ex - Duration: 1:59.

Despite the Duchess of Sussex coming under strain thanks to her father and half-sister's near constant stream of insults in media interviews, she has barely put a foot wrong at royal engagements

But Meghan will face her first real "litmus test" as a royal when she heads to Australia for the Invictus Games in October, former Buckingham Palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter has argued

"She's had a taste of the Invictus Games in Toronto last year but she was Harry's girlfriend

Now she is his wife there will be much more expectation," he told The Mirror.  "She's a good communicator, she's good at talking to people but it will be a real baptism of fire

"They will have a very demanding schedule and the Duchess will have to get used to local customs with the eyes of the world on her

"But no doubt she will come through with flying colours and they will show they will be a force of good for the Commonwealth and the royal family on the global stage

" Meghan and Harry will travel to Australia in October to attend the Invictus Games in Sydney, which will run from October 20 to 27

Their visit to Australia will also include a tour of Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rumoured to have secured a multimillion-dollar luxury waterfront home in Sydney's eastern suburbs with eight bedrooms
