There is a wide range of security solutions available on the market –
even a single vendor offers a variety of options.
It is then no wonder that a lot of users do not know what to opt for.
We've decided to tackle this issue, and today I'll be talking
about the differences between the individual Kaspersky Lab's products for home users.
The cheapest product in the company's portfolio is Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
It provides basic security to a computer and only runs under Windows.
It was specifically designed for users who need an effective
fundamental protection and want to add the other security components
such as firewall or spam filter on their own.
More information about Kaspersky Anti-Virus can be found here.
Kaspersky Internet Security is a security suite that offers everything
you need to ensure protection against today's cyberthreats.
Apart from all the features available in Kaspersky Anti-Virus,
it also includes an extended protection of online banking and shopping,
online privacy and identity protection, and parental control for protection of children.
Moreover, one Kaspersky Internet Security licence enables protection
of various devices running under Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.

Kaspersky Total Security is a real multi-purpose machine –
it is the most powerful security solution for home users in Kaspersky Lab's portfolio.
It includes all the capabilities offered by Kaspersky Internet Security plus an in-built password manager,
a module for creating backup copies, a tool for safe deletion of files
so that nobody can recover them and Kaspersky Safe Kids tool, which enables
even more effective protection of children using computers and smartphones.
Just like with Kaspersky Internet Security, a single licence for Total Security
ensures protection of devices under different operating systems.
More information about Kaspersky Total Security can be found here.
For some users, the information I've just presented may not be enough to make a choice.
That's why we've prepared something extra.
On this page you'll find a table showing the differences between the individual products
and a tool that helps to make a choice based on specific user requirements.
All that you need to do is a couple of clicks.
And if I don't want to pay for protection?
By choosing a paid security product from Kaspersky Lab,
you will not only receive technology that is regularly assessed as the most effective
in tests conducted by independent organisations all over the world,
but also free technical support, free upgrade to the latest product version
so that your protection can always be up to date, and access to My Kaspersky account
for managing protection on all your devices.
And if you don't want to pay? We've prepared ourselves for this too by introducing
Kaspersky Free tool, which is completely free of charge and offers a basic
set of security technologies for Windows. Here you can download this tool free of charge
and learn more about its capabilities. Even if you already have a security product
from another vendor, I encourage you to check Kaspersky Free to find out
whether your protection happened to let any intruder into the system.
Staying on the subject of free solutions - remember that in the case of some vendors
'free of charge' does not mean that you won't be asked for anything in return.
Although the user does not spend any money, they pay by sharing information
about their online behaviour or by watching ads.
That's why you should always read the licence agreement before installing anything.
Finally, it's also worth mentioning a dangerous phenomenon with some anti-viruses
including protection information in e-mails sent by the user.
You've probably encountered e-mails with a note along the lines
"This e-mail is free from viruses. It has been scanned by software XYZ."
This type of information added in e-mails make the life of cybercriminals easier
because it tells them clearly which protection is applied by a given user.
And if they know what to avoid it will be much easier for them to carry out an attack.
So, if your protection adds such information to the e-mails you send,
disable this feature as quickly as possible.
I hope that the information presented today will help everyone who is trying
to decide which Kaspersky Lab solution to choose for their devices.
And if you still have doubts I encourage you to ask questions to our experts
via e-mail, on Facebook, Twitter and here.
And remember that today protection of devices against cyberthreats
is not something you may have, but a must. See you in the next film.
