It's Wednesday and we start the vlog week again.
I trained two distance workouts yesterday
and today I'm going to do a hard interval session.
My plan is to use this uphill beside my apartment.
6*3 minutes and start
down there and all the way up.
It continues after the curve
so it should take 3 minutes.
It's a pretty good uphill for diagonal stride
but I`m not sure how it is in high speed.
Maybe I should put new wheels on
with resistance 4.
I have 3/4 on now so
I have not decided yet
if I should put
these wheels on for slower speed but
I think 3/4 should be enough.
I need to think about it.
The time is 9 and I will start at 9:30.
The session don't take that long
about 1,5 h so
I start later so the lunch won't be to early.
Pretty sure it will be a hard workout.
The plan is to do shorter
intervals so you can push really hard and
work with high lactic acid.
Close to your max
like sprint training.
I stick to my 3/4.
It can be good to train on easier wheels
to keep the frequency up.
I will warm up with a shorter and easier interval
and then start with the 3 minutes intervals.
Toilsome!
It was hard.
Short intervals are tough
when you need to push and push all the time.
Good to train on that to.
You need to mix short and long intervals
to train on
different intensities and
manage to stay on a higher pace during a shorter time.
Some warm down and then we are done
with the first workout today.
Todays last workout
did
35-40 minutes of strength training
and now I'm going to skate for 1,5 h.
A shorter and easier workout.
I'm a bit tired now
but that's not so strange when you have done
intervals in the morning and a strength training session before this.
I can understand that I'm a bit tired now.
30 minutes left
on todays training.
A good day with training.
Has worked fine.
I can barley get a nicer morning.
Completely windless
around 10 degrees Celsius.
On days like this you need to take the opportunity.
Bright!
I will train around 2 h.
2,5 h maybe if it feels good.
It will be nice.
Do something different then roller skiing.
Its been a while since I paddled.
Did a short session last week
but before that we were on training camp I Sollefteå.
Let's start.
Done
Almost got cold in the end.
It splashes water and you get wet
Will be nice with a shower.
The plan was to have an easy and chill workout but
always ends up pushing hard here and there any way.
I look at the watch and sees what pace I have every 500 m
and then you think ''I want to be under a certain amounts of minutes''.
It's easy to push to hard sometimes and realize ''oh yes... I was supposed to take it easier''.
But I guess it's not the end of the world if I pushed hard here and there.
It's Friday afternoon and I'm on Vemdalsskalet.
I did one session today in the morning.
A skate interval session.
So I had a bit of an easier day today with only one tough workout.
Anyway, tomorrow on Saturday it's the Vemdalen trail marathon.
The thought was that I would be able to run but
running isn't the best for my back at the moment.
Especially not competing in 25 km.
So there's no meaning to participate.
It's rather unnecessary to risk anything, considering my back.
Sad enough I've to pass this year's edition of Vemdalen trail running 2018.
But now I'm here for the childrens mini trail marathon.
They do it one day earlier.
They'll start in about 15 min.
06:20 PM
I'll be here cheering and also hand out the prices in the end.
But I'll also be back here tomorrow though Emelie will run the 25K.
So I'll be cheering and coaching her.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Run!
Away they go. Big applause!
I almost got over-run.
I think we should cheer for them.
Hurray, hurray, hurray, hurray!
Let give these three and all the other girls whom run a big applause.
Welcome back next year.
Then we're done with the award ceremony.
A lot of kids were fast today.
They fought well in the rain.
Now it's clearing up just enough until we all are about to go home.
I hope the weather'll be a bit better tomorrow
when I'll be acting coach for Emelie.
I'm about to pick up her number and chip now
then I'm going home.
So I'll see you here again tomorrow.
Stop it. I don't feel well.
You're not feeling well?
Why?
I feel bad.
Nervous?
I'm about to suffer.
As usually.
That's good!
No!
Stop!
Are you going to win?
No.
Why?
I don't have those ambitions.
I'm going to roller ski up to Vemdalsskalet here from Åsarna.
Emelie and Emil are driving there a bit earlier since they're running.
I'll not be able to see the start.
I won't make it in time.
The start is 09:15 AM
But the finish and
some other parts of the race I'll be able to see.
I don't really now how long time it'll take me.
Maybe...
2 hours or 2,5.
So it'll be a nice classic roller skiing session up to Vemdalsskalet
See you there.
I've arrived to Vemdalsskalet.
36 km and 2 hours and 10 minutes.
So now I'm going to see where they've parked.
Take a shower and then get out there and cheer.
See if I can get anything filmed.
The leader of the male class is Viktor Svensk right now.
Johan Olsson is second.
Let see how it goes for Emelie.
She is...She's fifth.
Keep on going.
The winner of 25K in the male class is...
Viktor Svensk.
Second place, Johan Olsson.
I have cramp everywhere.
What?
I've cramp everywhere.
I almost didn't make it to the finish line.
Signing up to this only one week before is not a good idea.
I can see Emelie.
Come on, sprint!
Awesome!
Was it tough?
I don't think I can stand properly.
You run fast this year.
I think she's a bit tired.
She can't even stand.
Is it good to finally have finished?
Never felt so good.
You did well.
Have you shit your pants, Emil?
No...
You walk so funny.
This, this is life.
What?
This!
Are you guys happy?
Nice it's over, huh?
Yes!
I'll not do this again.
Let's go home.
Jump in.
Are you tired?
No, not really.
I feel pretty fresh.
I'm not in any pain at all.
Then you didn't push yourself enough.
But please...
Nope, that's how it is.
Today it's Sunday evening.
A good training week has come to an end.
I did skate in the morning.
A distance session
and MTB now in the afternoon.
A good week of training.
Next week we're going to do some training days in Östersund.
We'll be doing intervals with the Ski Team of Sweden.
It'll be some tough days in Östersund.
Wednesday and Thursday.
Actually this vlog is suppose to come up today but
I've been thinking to publish it on Mondays instead.
I don't have the time to make subtitles the same day.
The idea is to finish the vlog on Sundays and
then have the Monday to make subtitles before I publish it.
Don't have that much to add.
A part from saying goodbye.
Thank you for watching another vlog.
Keep it up.
Like and
comment if you feel like it and
subscribe to my channel.
I appreciate it.
Thank you all.
See you next week.
Goodbye!
