Hey yo, what's going on, my name is Edward Farrell

and today is day 18

of our journey. We're almost in the end

WOW! This is going great

I'm so happy that we're almost done with our objective

To be honest I just can't wait to finish because

we have some nice desert at home

And I wasn't a part of it

but yea, this is the biggest struggle because as I was saying from few episodes

that you just get used to it and there is absolutely no difference

between like today and day before yesterday in terms of how hard it is

so yea, that it is from the feeling and struggles

and from some positive message I just thought that I would share something that I do everyday

because, basically what helps me to achieve my goal is gratitude

and what I do every day. I started doing this few days ago

but every day I do a little meditation

you don't need to meditate of course but

I am basically thankful and grateful for, for the things that happened to me and

and that just puts you in a very good vibration

you know and it is a really small thing and it's very easy to do

but it have like unbelievable result

in terms of your entire day

if you just say. Hey, I'm grateful for that, that I am healthy, that I can walk

or for some situation in your life

this can just bring up your day to a whole another level

and that's pretty much what's happening with me

I'm self-educated and I study every day and

whenever I first do this little gratitude exercise

I feel way better while studying and I study way more effectively

and the rest of the day is kind of like domino effect

from it whenever you feel grateful for something

I also read from book the secret

and there was like a really cool patent when the guy was

always having a stone in his pocket, a normal stone

and whenever he touched it, he just think of something he was grateful for

and this was really cool thing and really amazing

but the message for today is just think about something you are grateful for and

if you do it daily. It has just, just huge power

and if you're willing to try to do this simple thing

like, like every morning you wake up think about 3 things you are grateful for

not just to randomly say 3 things but to be engaged with this and

feel the actually feeling of being grateful

then I highly encourage you to try because it is really amazing

what it can do through the course of the day

or through the course of the week

South Korea praised for hosting successful PyeongChang Winter Olympics - Duration: 3:13.

Various issues and concerns arose ahead of... and during the 17-day-long sporting event.

But before you knew it, we were consumed by the heat of the thrilling competition and

dazzling display of skills and Olympic spirit... and it drew to a close.

While the general consenus is that the Pyongchang games was a huge success, our Lee Ji-won went

to hear directly from those who were closer to the action.

From tears of joy, sighs of disappointment to exhilarating excitement.

The past 17 days of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics were packed with incident and raw

emotions.

Now that the event is over, many are looking back at their February in South Korea's alpine

town of Pyeongchang and the sub-host city of Gangneung.

Many commented on how it was a huge success.

"I have been to 16 Olympics, winter and summer, and I thought this was one of the best ones

I've been to in terms of organization, logistics, the quality of the infrastructure.

You want to be as easy as possible to move around and to enjoy the games."

The friendliness of the locals and volunteers was also praised.

"We've been really impressed by how nice all the locals have been to us, especially patient,

because we don't speak any Korean, and even with the very wide language barrier everyone's

been really accommodating."

Of the many highlights was North Korea's participation in the Games.

While the decision and process was initially controversial, people say these exchanges

prove the Olympics is more than just a sporting event.

"Not just bold, but I think it's sent a message to the world and there's really only one place

that could do that and that is here in South Korea and here in Pyeongchang.

A lot of people say that's politics hijacking the games, no actually, this is a not a story

about politics, this is a story about people."

The bone-chilling temperatures during the Games was a major concern and it caused a

number of snow events to be postponed.

But journalists who've covered numerous Winter Olympics say cold is not a problem for winter

sports.

"Olympics are so big, there are always going to be issues.

In terms of the weather, it was very cold the first week, but in a way, this is the

Winter Olympics, they are supposed to be cold."

Visitors also suggested room for improvements.

"I think they should've taught English to most of the work force because I don't speak

Korean and as a foreigner it was hard for me to get information."

"It wasn't that expensive to book a place to stay, but I came here to watch numerous

events on different days... and there weren't many vacancies."

With the general consensus that the PyeongChang Olympics were a success, many visitors said

one of the best legacies of the Games is that South Korea "took a step forward in presenting

itself" to the world and the world got to know Korea better as well.
