ZIMS is a zoo dating database
made to help zoos find mates for their animals!
Now, before you start on

But also, it is important to think
about endangered animals that may
disappear completely if not helped to breed at zoos!
Now, many animals are quite picky
when it comes to mating.
Zoos from all over the world came together to
create this database
which consists of over 10 million animals
from 22,000 different species!
This includes information on their age,
pedigree, medical records,
and even the food they eat!
Since ZIMS, there have been successful
pairings of said endangered animals,
such as Sumatran tigers JaeJae and Malati,
and red-ruffed lemurs Eka
and brothers Nero and Faro!
So congratulations to all the
new animal couples!

HOW-TO use PROFIS Detection Example of Radar data analysis for an Imagescan - Duration: 6:09.
This tutorial explains PROFIS detection radar data analysis.
We will walk you through a step-by-step example including identifying objects embedded in
the structure, understanding embedment depth, improving data visualization, adding
drillholes and generating a report.
The first thing we need to do is check out what is in the structure.
To obtain a layer by layer view of the objects in the scan material, use the Z direction
crosshair slider.
Moving the slider to the right increases the depth shown.
For clear differentiation of the individual objects, use the thickness slider to adjust
layer thickness.
Now we can start improving the scan.
In the 2D view, select the parameter function button to adjust important settings for data
processing.
Adjust the concrete parameter to get the correct depth scaling.
We suggest starting with a value between 6-8.
To hone in on the correct concrete value, check the round shaped bubbles in the cross-section
view.
Try different parameters to see which settings works best for your scan, and once you find
the best settings, stick with them for consistent viewing.
In this example, we see some clutter in our scan.
Our first step in troubleshooting is checking the depth of the end of the back wall.
Using the visualization function, we can switch to the raw data setting and grey color scheme
to see the end of the wall as a nearly straight line.
To improve the scan, we can cut off this back-wall reflection.
In this example, we would cut it off at 200 mm or 8 inches deep.
Now we can switch back to the standard data view and blue color scheme.
Next, the contrast should be adjusted, but first we need to verify that the cut off border
area checkbox is off.
For clearer visualization, apply the object smoothing function.
Whenever using object smoothing, the 3D display threshold should be adjusted for the best
3D view.
Drill holes can also be added.
In this example, we are setting anchor holes for a baseplate.
Under annotations, you can use distance markers to measure the distance between anchor holes.
In the comment section, you can add the specifications of the anchor for the baseplate.
As a final step, generate a report and export the 3D data model using the Extras function.

Ok this is the assembly process for my work which I'm sending to the Foundation Benetton
Studi Ricerche, for the project Imago Mundi.
So this is something I've 3D printed and these are the stand offs for the canvas.
So there's a screw that goes through there and the idea is you line it up in the corner.
Ok.
And this sits on top like that.
It's got three legs and there's a reason why it's like that.
Ok that clips on like that and then you can get your phone, turn the light on and then
stick it behind.
So that's why it's offset.
So when this gets documented someone needs to be shoving their phone in it.
And this is an image of my intercommunal keyboard, so it has Greek and Turkish letters written
onto the typical keyboard you get in the UK.
And hopefully that doesn't break by the time it gets to Italy.
Ok I didn't like the canvas I was sent so I decided to design another method of hanging.
Something I've been thinking about for a little while using the 3D printer.
Essentially it is an upside down keyhole protector.
It's parametric in Fusion 360, and I can adapt it to whatever bit I have or any size of work
that I might want to hang.
I'll make a separate video about how I 3D modelled this and I will upload this to my
second channel at some point, when I have time.
I've already punched the holes but I'll do this again.
This pops into the larger forstner hole and using the square you line it up with the line,
and then with the bradawl you mark your first hole.
I think when I make the next version of this I will try and learn a new software so that
I can actually make some mounts for the magnets.
I tried to import this into Fusion 360 and this was just too complicated, to many meshes,
no not too many meshes.
The mesh was just too complicated to turn it into an object in fusion and edit it so
hopefully I can do that at some point.
But for now a bit of gross hot
glue will do.
