so basically we have this property for the next 3-4 years we have been given
the opportunity to go ahead and maintain this property for them for the next
3 years
all right so basically what we're gonna do is mulch this up its and hit the
planter bed separate them but the first thing we're
gonna do is edge this trim it we're gonna take it let's take it as high as
the porch yeah the concrete itself let's take it that low and then just score it
off front and back and then over here we just take it down just a little bit not
down to the concrete but just a little bit and keep everything nice and even
all the way back and take it off the back you take it off the front yeah here
we just you know try to the side
make it look neat take it all the same height yeah these are trimmed the same
no no the front is gonna be at the same level as the porch but then this we just
whatever level you take it to take the whole thing the same level yeah and then
you know clip it off on the side and in the back back in front because what
we're gonna do is um next month we're gonna come in and put down pine straw
and over here just just take it off a little bit off the side so we can be
able to walk and the same thing with the back you know just take it down to a
nice to air even yeah yeah we keep it we keep it round and then here too we keep
this round but you don't you see where it's growing right there you can tell
whether we're the height where it was who don't take it to that height same
thing over here and just make it neat and then we're gonna mow everything and
I'll uh you go ahead and now you just walk around and see the other spot okay
so we're gonna move this trim it down
more the same thing over here trim the shrubs it's kind of soggy
yeah we're gonna take it down pride about two and a half just for this one
cut yeah there's a little soggy but it should be it should be good to go and
and the ligustrum I trimmed this up on this side trim it up and even it out
now we're not yeah and then probably coming it back here and take it off the
house
just Mulch it up and this is all weeds
annual powah so basically we have this property for the next 3-4 years we have
been given the opportunity to go ahead and maintain this property for them
for the next three years now as of right now we are in charge of the shrubs and
the pine straw so we're gonna come in every three to four months and do the shrubs
and one time once a year we'll put down the pine straw and as of right now for
the next three months he paid us in advance to maintain the yard but then
they see our work and decide to I was doing all right so let's get hot
hi guys so these are extremely leggy azalea's so what we're gonna do is just
shape them up and the more we come out and just kind of trim the top trim the
collar the inside will grow out and they will become kind of full so this is what
we have so far all the way around
hi guys this is the finished product I mean you can see everything is trim
grass is mowed we didn't have to do the tree but we just hit some of it on the
side and we did the ligustrum and again don't worry about the stuff in the
bottom guys because you know about a month before coming back in we're gonna
put down some pine straw grass India's alias
and I said before we'll put pastor all over there
and your cigar
it's inside
and I complete a job
and in do apologize the GoPro died honest and as usual appreciate you man
man the myth the legend the quest Thank You Man

My Secret Trick for Giving AWESOME Presentations - Duration: 5:19.
Heya playa, do you have to give a presentation in front of your entire class?
And because of that, you're feeling nervous and scared that you're going to mess up?
Don't worry.
Over the years I've learned a few different things about giving a presentation that I
want to share with you.
Things that have helped me be a better performer, better speaker and just a better presenter
overall.
This is The Josh Speaks.
You're watching The Josh Speaks.
For those of you that are new here, my name is Josh and every single Monday through Friday
I make videos sharing tips, ideas and stories teaching you how to be your best self.
Now when I first started speaking in front of people I was really nervous.
Just the idea of sharing what I had to say and hopefully getting people engaged made
me terrified.
I would spend a lot of time in my own head constantly thinking "Do I look weird up there?',
"Are people secretly judging me?", "Do they think I don't know what I'm talking about?"
"What's going on in their minds?".
And as you can see, it's not a very effective presentation style.
When you start to think more negatively than positively about the thing that you're doing,
you're far more likely to mess up doing it.
Now don't get me wrong though, there are some really bad presenters out there but the reason
that they're bad is because they're not really working on what they need to to help better
connect with their audiences and that's something I want to share with you.
Back when I was in college taking business classes I had to do a lot of different types
of presentations, most of them were group projects but some of them were individual
things where I had to go up and speak all by myself.
And I remember in the beginning, I kind of sucked.
I would just work off of the powerpoint slides behind me, I would just kind of stand so my
body language looked like I wasn't really prepared to talk about what I wanted to and
I just kept my head facing down and didn't look at anyone.
At one point my teacher pulled me over after class one day and said "Hey, I think you know
what you're talking about but you don't really know the best way to present it.
What I would really suggest you do is go online and look up other people's presentation styles.
Go study other people that are masters at speaking and just try to emulate what they're
doing.
So I went back to my dorm and decided to look up a bunch of different key people that I
thought were really good presenters.
And the one person I really honed in on was Steve Jobs.
There was something about the way that he spoke and paced himself on stage that I thought
was really really engaging and something that I wanted to obtain.
So, I just parroted that technique when I did my next presentation.
When I went up to speak, I imagined myself in that moment as Steve Jobs standing there
giving a presentation.
I tried to mimic his body language, the way that he spoke, the intonations of his voice,
all of it.
And in the end my teacher told me that my whole persona had somehow changed when I was
up there on the stage which is exactly what I wanted to happen.
Now I don't know if there's an official name for this but I tend to call it "The Parrot
Trick".
And that's finding someone that you really admire for their presentation skills, observing
them, really studying how they walk, how they talk, how they make eye contact and what they
do in front of other people and really just emulating that for yourself.
And the coolest part about it is after using their training wheels in the beginning, after
you start imitating them, eventually, it starts to become muscle memory and you start to change
it to fit your personality a whole lot more.
So basically now when I speak in front of people, I no longer do it like Steve Jobs,
I do it like myself.
Which is exactly the point you want to eventually get to.
But there's one more thing about giving presentations that I think is huge and everyone should know.
Part of the problem with being up there is that you think the audience knows your material
and what you're talking about better than you and that they're just kind of quizzing
you and waiting to see if you actually know it and that's just not true.
The reality is the people that are watching you are gonna follow your pace, so if you
slow down what you're speaking they're going to think that's part of the presentation.
If you speed up or even if you get nervous and mess up and make a joke about it, they're
going to think that's part of the presentation.
No one in the audience dictates how the experience goes.
So realistically when you're up there, you set the tone, not them.
So don't worry about them secretly prejudging you if you don't know what to say or you mess
up.
Just make it part of your presentation, say "Actually I forgot to talk about that" or
"You know I'm really nervous about this right now and I don't know why, but let's explore
that together."
Make it seem like it's all part of the show and that way people will just say "Oh ok,
this is part of the whole thing".
That's something I've experienced time and time again when I've gotten tongue twisted
or I forgot what I wanted to say or just started to get all sweaty and feel nervous, I just
kind of addressed it.
Made a joke about it, made it seem like it wasn't that big of a deal and guess what?
The audience didn't think it was a big deal either then.
So remember, when you're speaking in front of people you're not powerless.
You're actually powerful.
People are gonna follow what you say so develop how you want to say it, and if you do mess
up, take control of those, own your situation and really show them that you deserve to be
up there because you know how to do it.
What do you think though, have you ever felt nervous about giving a presentation before?
Leave your comments down below and we'll talk about it.
Now if you're in a situation that you don't want to openly talk about in the YouTube comments,
you can always shoot me a DM over on Snapchat or Instagram, I do my best to answer as many
messages as I can.
Thank you so much for watching if you enjoyed this video hit the thumbs up button, if you're
new here make sure to click to the subscribe button and if you want to keep learning more
about giving really good presentation, definitely check out the videos I have over there on
the side where I go more in depth into body language, speaking, and all these different
things you can learn to master so you can present your best self at all times.
On that note guys, I'll catch you next time.
As always, love and peace.

Changes to Seattle Ferry Terminal for Partial Demolition - Duration: 1:31.
More 9 million people pass through this main terminal every year… and it's under construction!
Right now, we've got two waiting areas: One for Bainbridge Island departures...
And one for Bremerton departures…
And we're going to skinny that down into just one waiting area for both departures.
The reason for this is so that this summer we can get to work actually demolishing this part of the building...
So that we can then build up the new terminal building from the water up.
We'll have a line like this separating out two sides of the shared waiting area.
One side will be for Bremerton passengers and the other side will be for Bainbridge Island passengers.
One of the main things that customers will notice is that there will be fewer food options inside the main ferry terminal.
Places like Subway that used to be upstairs and downstairs are now only going to have a street-level shop.
If you're looking for a last-minute snack before you board the ferry, Puget Sound Provisions
will remain open during construction until mid-2019.
And here's another little secret tip!
Over here, Taco Del Mar as you can see is closed for construction.
However, pretty soon, by the end of spring, this is where the new ticket window will be located.

Locating KML Files for Google Earth - Duration: 6:36.
This is a video series on using Google Earth. This video is part one of two
parts on using KML files in Google Earth. In this video we specifically explore
where to find a KML file. These videos were made possible by AmericaView,
Virginiaview, the Virginia Cooperative Extension, Colorado Mesa University and
Virginia Tech's College of Natural Resources and Environment.
Funding for this project was provided by the United States Geological Survey under grant

What is a KML file? Well, if you google or do a search -- KML file -- you'll
actually go to the Google Earth website. And if you look under Earth for Chrome,
it says KML support. Click on that
So, what is a KML file?
Well KML stands for keyhole markup language. What does that mean? It's
actually a file format used to display spatial data in an Earth browser
like Google Earth Web or Google Earth Pro. You can actually create a KML file when
you're working on a map document in either Google Earth Web or Google Earth
Pro. Or you can search and locate already existing KML files on the web for
uploading into Google Earth. So where do we find KML files? If you notice at the
top of this window there's something called Samples. Click on Samples and
you're taken to this website. This is a kml interactive sampler. We're not going
to go into details on this because you do need a Google Earth plug-in to use
this site. So let's make this more simple. Where can you find a KML file on the web?
Well, you actually can find some KML boundary files for the United States
from the US Census Bureau. You can go to www.census.gov and look for KML cartographic
boundary files. Or if you just use a search engine and just say tigerline
KML files, and you will be taken to this census website. if you notice it tells
you right in the middle of this website -- KML is a file format used to display
Geographic data in a tool such as Google Earth or Google Maps. You can also get
shapefiles to use within Google Earth Pro, but we will discuss that in another
video. So what kind of file do you want? If you look, under download files,
it has a whole list of different files that you can receive or download
as a KML. So let's look at one of these and we're going to show you how to
download one, and then in a subsequent video, we'll show you how to upload that
KML file into Google Earth. So, what I did is I clicked on regions and then within
cartographic boundary KML file regions, if if you go down and click on the census
boundary 2016 US region 500k dot zip. So click on that and what you'll
get is you'll get this download file. Now as you can see it is a dot zip file. We'll
talk about here how to unzip that file. But you just want to save the file. It
will save directly to the download area on your computer. Once you've clicked on
save. Click ok. A you can see go to your download area and you can see the file
in your download area. Alright so, now we've downloaded it's zipped. What do we
do next? What you want to do is right-click on that file, click on the
file name - right click and you will get this window, then what you're going to
want to do is you want to extract all. Now be careful don't extract it all just
immediately to that area. What you're going to do next is you're going to
extract file and you're going to choose where you want that file to go. In this
case, I have found a file folder on my regular D Drive or it could be your C --
Drive -- where you want to put this. You click on the Browse area
browse to the area on your computer while you want to unzip that file, and
then click on it and make sure it's loaded into the "files will be extracted
to this folder" location once you have done that, click on extract. What happens
next is it extracts the files from that zip folder and you will end up with four
files. As you can see the top file is dot kml. Now we will show within the next
video what to do with this kml file in Google Earth and Google Earth Pro.

AHA Go Red For Women - Amy Simmons - Duration: 4:47.
The heart is something... the heart is something special
I was big in sports. I spent a lot of time working out and I was boxing and I was running the
ice cream store and I was raising my two little girls. It was in summer in Texas
which is really hot and I used to run it 2:00 in the afternoon because that's
when I could get away and I really started getting a lot of dizzy spells.
When you're doing a lot of sports you kind of learn to regulate your own
heart rate and you know if you feel it going down, you just relax and try and
breathe into it until it comes back up. And it really it wasn't working and it had.
I still didn't do anything about it, cuz I, you know, I still had to go for a run
I still had to run the company I still had to take care of the girls
and there was no time to be sick!
I had a really great friend who just said, "Amy! On the way home just stop by the emergency room. It's no harm.
You can just get, you know you might find out nothing's wrong and you might find out
that there's a simple solution." You know I was going to drive home and I heard
his beautiful voice and caring for me and I just turned into to the hospital.
They did an EKG and then I put a holter monitor on for a day. And it took about
two to three weeks for them to to read that. And they called me:
I was at Deep Eddy, I was going in for a swim. They said, "Don't drive."
Kind of unusual: super athletic, super healthy person. And she said, "You know, when I run I feel fine.
I've never had a problem running. It would be the next day I would find
myself on my back on the floor of my office because I couldn't function."
In her case the alternative was to give her a permanent pacemaker
It was so immediate how I felt. It was remarkable. I just can't believe, I can't
believe the invention. I ran a marathon not long after I had the pacemaker put in
and you know I'm kind of bionic, really, I'm kind of cheating.
I actually had a better marathon after the pacemaker than I did before.
(DR. HORTON) When I first finished my training in the early 90s I would see lots of
patients with genuine fast heart rhythm issues that were easily fixable that had
gone years, sometimes decades, being told that they were just histrionic. That it
was panic attacks. That it was all in their head. We just have to work through
that and make sure that people understand that there are genuine
fixable problems that feel very similar to some of these other conditions.
It is scary. It's scary and, you know, that's a natural response to thinking
you have a heart issue or that something isn't perfect in your body.
But there are people out there that'll really surprise you that are living with
some pretty serious issues and have beautiful active lives.
Imagine, you know before the pacemaker... I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't have my business.
I wouldn't be able to parent my children. That was engineering coming together
with cardiac research and it's American Heart Association that's funding that.
That's driving the interest in it. And especially the Go Red campaign because
it's focused on women. It's not that men aren't important also. It's that we tend
not to focus on women and women don't focus on women.
American Heart Association is sort of, then, the leader in this country in not only improving
women's awareness of cardiac conditions but the entire community.
The one thing is to trust your gut because you really... you know! You know if you're not feeling right.
And it just, it may be something that's tiny. Or it may be something that's big.
But it's your.. it's your future. And it's your family's future.
And it's your ability to do all those things that you can't stop doing today in the future...
if you take care of yourself.
