Black Panther
Marvel's newest comic adventure
comes to life
Dude, I'm gonna stop you right there
I didn't come to life until like the middle of the movie on this one
I mean it wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great, either
How about "rises up to the challenge"
Okay, all right
I'll give it to you
Or how about Black Panther
a movie about a comic book
Yeah, all right, we just saw the Black Panther movie
And we thought we would give you our review
while also mentioning some pretty cool ancient stuff
that was actually found in Africa
So this is actually one of the first Marvel movies
where I found myself kind of bored through the middle of it
Yeah, I was actually surprised
I thought it was gonna go into a certain direction, and it doesn't quite go there
Yeah, yeah, so like a spoiler alert here
I mean if you haven't seen the movie yet
Who are you
Why would you not have seen that movie yet?
You should definitely get yourself to the theater to see it, okay
so let's talk about some of the things that we liked
cuz there was definitely like some awesome stuff in the movie
The thing that I loved most about the movie was the characters so like the acting
Yeah
The acting was phenomenal
Actually really good
The cast was like totally amazing
So there was different things throughout that we liked
I mean you mentioned what you liked
the casino scene was awesome
Yeah, that whole thing was done in one take
and I love when movies do that
Yeah
They can do that with one take
and especially an action scene requires a lot of people, a lot of movements
a lot of parts to that
That part was definitely fun
But some of the things that we didn't like were boring parts
Actually I would say I thought Martin Freeman did a great job in his character
You know he's a British actor, and he had a completely seamless New York accent almost
So he's playing a CIA guy
I've seen aliens drop from the sky
Yeah
But I have never seen anything like this
how much more you are hiding
That was like I thought he did good
That was good
my problem with it though is like why didn't they just get an American actor
They always do this
They hire like British people for American parts
and they find American parts for British people
What do you know about Wakanda?
It's a third world country
Textiles
Shepherds, cool outfits
I mean Wakanda was awesome
It was, it was
It wasn't as awesome as Wauconda, Illinois
If you guys haven't heard about this
There is actually a place
and it's Illinois right
It's Illinois
So there's a place in Illinois called Wauconda, since the Black Panther movie came out
They've actually gotten a bunch of phone calls asking for Vibranium
It's a metal
It's like an indestructible, unstable metal
It's the source of all of their power
Yeah, and all their technology of the future and whatnot
So this actually brings us into some of the weird stuff revolved around this
Vibranium actually looks a lot like some other things that they found in Africa
Yeah, this is kind of interesting because on the Cosmic Disclosure with David Wilcock
They actually talk about a lot of the stuff that's in this movie
which I was really surprised about
and like one of the aspects is the technology, especially his suit
Yeah, they actually talk about that the suit that gives people a power like that
Yeah, yeah, I mean they can like jump like super high in the air
They can land without hurting themselves
It's bulletproof
It's fireproof, it gives them extra strength
Or like you break your leg, and it actually tightens everything, like fix it or something
Yeah, yeah, It's crazy crazy stuff
You know everyone's talking about the race issue to this
and the funny thing is I didn't even think it was that big of a deal in this movie
It's really funny because no matter what side you're on
if you're like for the left side, you're gonna probably see this movie that's for the left
If you're on the right
It's actually easy to see this movie on the right side too
Yeah, they did a good job balancing out
I mean really because I could see it both ways
So I thought the race issue wasn't really the issue that everybody is talking about
The only thing is, there's only two white guys in the movie
but it makes sense because the whole movie is in Africa
And they're on this village that is untouched by reality or whatever
No one knows about it
Okay, so the main source of energy in Wakanda
is this stuff called Vibranium
And we found there was a parallel actually for Uranium ore that was found in the Gabon Republic
We found this to be a really interesting parallel
because it almost felt like someone out there knew about this
and they were drawing some kind of actual comparison to Africa
I mean this is a true story
In 1970s, a French manufacturer was importing the Uranium ore from the Gabon Republic
Since the Gabon Republic couldn't process it themselves
they're selling it to other countries
So when this French manufacturer started processing it
They already found that it was already processed and utilized before
which they found super weird
Other countries started hearing about this
And they're like hey, let's send our scientists down to check this out
What they found was that this site was actually a 2 billion year old nuclear reactor
This is the crazy part
This reactor was in operation for like 500,000 years
All right, let's get back to the film
So Rob would you recommend it? Yes or no
Ok I mean you have to go see this film
It's a Marvel film
Marvel films always have like a benchmark of quality
You're gonna get some of that
I just would recommend to proceed with caution
because I think the hype is a little bit more than it actually was
I completely agree, I completely agree
I think a lot of the critics are way over playing this
More importantly than what we think
What do you guys think
Did you guys like Black Panther
Do you think we're on point here
Did you get bored?
