7 FASCINATING FACTS ABOUT THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM YOU PROBABLY DIDNT KNOW

Did you know you have an endocannabinoid system?

A year ago, I didnt either.

Thats because unless youre a research scientist or work in the field of medical

cannabis, its unlikely youll ever have heard of it.

And yet, the endocannabinoid system has been hailed as the most important physiologic

system involved in establishing and maintaining human health.

Why do so few people know about the endocannabinoid system?

It might have something to do with how the endocannabinoid system (ECS) was discovered.

Back in the 1990s, scientists were trying to understand how THC, the psychoactive substance

in the cannabis plant, affects the body.

What they uncovered was a complex network of receptors (CB1) in the brain and central

nervous system that were a perfect fit for the THC molecule.

Soon after, another type of receptor (CB2) was discovered in the immune system, gut,

and many of the bodys major organs.

But that was only part of the puzzle.

The hunt was on to find out whether the body produced its own cannabis-like chemicals,

and with the identification of the first endocannabinoid, Anandamide, they had their answer.

What does the endocannabinoid system do?

What scientists have realized is that the endocannabinoid system fine-tunes most of

our vital physiological functions, bringing balance to everything from sleep, appetite,

and pain to inflammation, memory, mood, and even reproduction.

So in basic terms, its like an orchestral conductor, ensuring that no one section drowns

out the other.

So, its time to bring this fascinating biological system out of the laboratory, and

get to grips with some endocannabinoid system basics.

1.

Humans arent alone in having an ECS

As humans beings, were not special for having an ECS.

Not only is the endocannabinoid system found in all vertebrates, but scientists also discovered

cannabinoid receptors in non-vertebrate sea-squirts, suggesting an evolutionary process dating

back 600 million years ago.

2.

Endocannabinoid receptors are the most abundant neurotransmitter receptors in the brain

Most of us have heard theyre the chemicals that communicate information throughout the

brain and body.

Serotonin and dopamine are perhaps the most well known examples, but its the endocannabinoid

Anandamide, also classed as a neurotransmitter, that has the most receptors in the brain.

3.

Increased endocannabinoid system activity has been noted in many diseases

As the endocannabinoid systems modus operandi is to bring balance to the body, its no

surprise that scientists have observed elevated ECS activity in a number of illnesses.

Everything from neurodegenerative diseases to rheumatoid arthritis and cancer have shown

changes in endocannabinoid levels and greater receptor expression.

4.

Endocannabinoid System Deficiency might be a cause of some illnesses

But what happens if the ECS becomes depleted?

Scientists have observed how, in certain conditions associated with oversensitivity to pain such

as migraines, fibromyalgia, and IBS, the ECS appears to have become weakened.

The theory is known as Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency, and it is believed that supplementing

the body with compounds from the cannabis plant can correct this deficiency and improve

symptoms.

5.

The ECS explains why medicinal cannabis has a therapeutic effect

Prior to 20th century prohibition, cannabis had been used for thousands of years to treat

a whole host of ailments, like epilepsy, headaches, arthritis, pain, depression, and nausea.

Back then, nobody knew why the plant showed such therapeutic versatility.

The discovery of the endocannabinoid system soon shone new light onto the medicinal effects

of cannabis.

According to Dustin Sulak, a leading medical cannabis expert: Research has shown that

small doses of cannabinoids from cannabis can signal the body to make more endocannabinoids

and build more cannabinoid receptors. He goes on, I believe that small, regular

doses of cannabis might act as a tonic to our most central physiologic healing system.

6.

You dont have to break the law to give your endocannabinoid system a boost

Currently, medical cannabis-friendly countries are in the minority across the planet.

So what can you do if cant legally access the plant?

Well, you could consider trying CBD, a non-psychoactive compound in the cannabis plant that has a

whole host of health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, calming feelings of anxiety,

and even lowering the frequency of epileptic seizures.

CBD is normally extracted from cannabis plants with less than 0.2% THC, commonly referred

to as hemp or industrial hemp, allowing it to be bought legally in most countries worldwide.

Another option is to peel yourself off the sofa and get moving.

Scientists have found that prolonged aerobic exercise increases levels of the feel-good

endocannabinoid anandamide.

Diet is also a useful target.

Increasing your intake of Omega 3, found in oily fish or healthy seeds like flax or hemp,

can help support endocannabinoid brain signalling.

7.

Most doctors know very little about the endocannabinoid system

With the ECS playing such a central role in our health, you would think that any self-respecting

member of the medical profession would have some knowledge of its existence.

But in mainstream medicine, the endocannabinoid system remains rather a pariah.

In 2013, a survey was conducted asking medical schools in the United States whether the ECS

formed part of their curriculum.

The authors found that only 13% teach the endocannabinoid system to future doctors.

So now youre endocannabinoid savvy, theres no turning back.

Join me and start spreading the word to all who will listen.

Its time that the ECS is given the attention it deserves, both by our healthcare providers

and the public at large.

Ascension In Pop Culture

by Sarah,

Today, I hope to unearth a seemingly far-less discussed topic in Ascension culture the

culture itself. Please, as with all things, discern what is appropriate for your own adventure.

Respectfully, we are all at unique places & needing different tools and information.

For the longest time, Ive struggled with various words and concepts in this cultural

movement. It has been partially due to my healthy dose of skepticism, but perhaps more

than that, a feeling that all was not coherent with my soul. Nor was it a denial of this

process in fact, I must admit this is very, very real, and more-so than many of

us are ready to understand. But just like any business, corporation, group, or culture:

one must use their heart to navigate what feels true, beautiful, and authentic. Note

again, the heart.

Light and love is a phrase that is tossed around quite playfully among individuals in

Ascension culture. Among many words, phrases, and concepts, these can be kept in the

intellect, or intellectualized, as I like to say instead of truly bringing this

energy into the heart, the soul. Using that as a platform: Ascension culture itself can

too, be intellectualized or, instead brought into the heart.

Let this be a wake-up call, if need be: This journey is not wholly about Im a light-worker

and There are dark forces & a false matrix. This is, however no doubt, an important step

in the process, but it is not a place to remain. Eventually, you will be forced to confront

why you have created these circumstances for yourself, and bring it all into your heart

in this process, you are creating unity consciousness, or oneness.

Again, this does not happen to you. Your work and expansion creates Ascension.

I must share a deeply significant secret. Without fail, every single time I have checked

in with my own internal system, my discernment, and my higher wisdom, this is the message

I receive about Ascension: it is already here, and it is in the heart. This, my lovely co-creators

and consciousness reflections, is profound. Ascension is not outside of you, nor will

it ever happen to you. This is something you create. This is a state of heart (not mind,

not label, not identity), a state of being that you may learn to be aligned with at all

times.

It requires practice, awareness, and surrender. This is what is called doing the work,

or what I have recently adopted, doing the play. For individuals truly walking

& living this path, they are on duty 24/7. The answer, the place of alignment, is always

deep in the heart.

There are many stages of this process, and please do respect where you are & what feels

right for you. At the beginning of my own journey, I identified more with certain labels

or quite simply sought more support from others in the community. However, the more I developed

a relationship with my soul, wisdom, and knowing, I have quickly been spit out into a place

where I seek practically no external validation or support in my growth and connection. This,

my friends, is where we all hope to be. It becomes deeply personal and individualistic

this is such a gift & something quite beautiful about creation itself.

With all that being said, note that I do not find anything inherently wrong with Ascension

Culture, but I must admit that it is only a stepping stone. It is not the end game,

nor is it the ultimate truth. This is something you must discover for yourself, and it is

quite simply waiting, to be discovered.

GOD IS BACK! President Trump Did It, He FINALLY Brought God Back To America He Said 1 Sentence That - Duration: 2:07.

GOD IS BACK!

President Trump Did It, He FINALLY Brought God Back To America-He Said 1 Sentence That

Makes God Smile (VIDEO)

Donald Trump is a big cheese in this nation.

He is President, all things considered.

Be that as it may, he knows there is 1 that trumps Trump without fail: God All Mighty.

A ton of lawmakers get enormous heads and think they are the new "Gods" of our nation.

No chance!

That is the reason Trump remained before THOUSANDS of understudies at Liberty University and

dropped this truth-bombshell on them:

'In America, we do not worship government, we worship God.'

So be it.

It's hard to believe, but it's true, Trump quite recently brought God back to our nation!

President Trump realizes that the ONLY purpose behind America being incredible in any case

is God.

Our authors knew it, and right up 'til the present time God is the way to our prosperity.

God's name is even in the Constitution 4 times for His purpose!

Trump Continued:

"It is why our currency proudly declares, 'In God We Trust' and it is why we proudly

proclaim that we are one nation, under God, every time we say the Pledge of Allegiance."

Trump made another extraordinary point: Faith in God is important to the point that our

leaders swear in on a Bible and in God's name.

That implies 2 things.

That our nation is still particularly in the Lord's hands and that, on the off chance

that they come up short their nation, they likewise broke their promise to God.

What do you think about this?

Do not hesitate and write your thoughts in the comments section below.

Share the truth, be patriots!

Thanks for reading.

Where to start? Start with art - Duration: 3:43.

The reason why we are showing video art is, because we want to make a space,

where there doesn't need to be a rational outcome,

because CBS is a very rational institution, we believe that we need a space of irrationality.

Where you can think differently. Where you can get creative impulses and of course make reflections.

I mean, we are not imagining people sitting there for hours on ends, trying to interpret these things.

The walk, they stop, they look... they reflect, and they are off again.

The students should get signals from out in reality. And I think the artists through their art signals,

what goes on in society directly.

Long before researchers and even long before journalists have put words on it.

They have images on what goes on.

And students, obviously, thanks to Christoffer and his friends, they seem to like it a lot.

We have had of course mixed feedback from the CBS students.

Most of them have been very positive. They have been very happy that we are showing video works here at Solbjerg Plads.

But I also heard some CBS students, who didn't really understand what the purpose was.

I've talk to a student, who studies finance here at CBS,

who saw the first art work we showed, and he expected it to be a commercial.

But he couldn't understand, what we were trying to sell him.

And then I told him that it was just an art work. There wasn't a business purpose.

All we wanted to was to give him a space to reflect and think differently.

It is completely acceptable to feel intimidated, to feel questioned by what you see.

So I think, in a way, it is almost productive in the context of CBS that there will be students saying:

'What the heck is this?'

I think for a lot of the students here at CBS it is a large barrier of entry to the art world.

That they believe they should know a lot about art in order to experience it.

I don't believe so.

What is going to happen when it's finished?

It is never going to finish. Come on.

It is there to stay. It is there to develop.

Because I think that Daniel Hjort (professor CBS red.) has a very good saying for this.

He says that in business, in engineering, in development, in social development of liveable,

sustainable states, what do you do? Well he says:

Where to start? Start with art!

What is the next art work?

Well the next piece we will show here at CBS Digital Art Space, is a piece by Marilyn Minter,

it's called 'Green Pink Caviar. And I just found a short clip here for you.
