The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovations, CMMI,
launched the Integrated Learning System, ILS, in the Fall of 2015,
to accelerate collaborative learning and improve model success.
Through the ILS, CMMI model participants can connect across models
to share promising practices, to drive success in achieving common aims,
harnessing innovation, connect with experts and explore cross-cutting topics.
The ILS will host webinars, action groups, office hours and coffee breaks
to engage models and highlight early successes, novel approaches and methods.
ILS Connect is the online home for ILS.
All model participants on CMMI Connect will be added to ILS Connect.
ILS Connect will promote cross-model learning of promising practices
by providing a forum for users across models to interact and share.
All CMMI Connect users will have access to ILS Connect.
It's easy to visit. Simply log into your model's Connect site.
After logging in, you will be on the Chatter homepage of your model.
Click on the drop-down menu on the left-hand corner of the screen
and select ILS Connect.
You are now on ILS Connect.
You can recognize it by the ILS tree.
Want to learn more about what other model participants are doing in a specific area?
ILS Connect is unique because it is an online platform
where you will be able to interact with people working on different models.
Groups are a great way to interact with individuals and smaller communities.
Go to the Groups tab to view groups for each active content area.
Join the groups that you are interested in.
In these groups, you will be able to ask questions, upload resources,
and share successes and challenges with people who are as passionate as you are.
To get the conversation going, you can leave a chatter post on the group page,
or respond to one already there.
Stay up to date on group happenings by receiving group digests in your email inbox.
You can receive them daily or weekly.
If you had a busy week,
these group digests are a great way to receive a quick update.
The group file section provides a list of all resources shared within the group.
ILS Connect groups give you access to resources
that participants outside of your model have tested and successfully used.
Use them in your own model to improve your processes,
which will allow you to achieve positive outcomes.
Then, tell us about it in Chatter.
ILS addresses many different topic areas
such as health disparities,
care coordination and patient safety,
which are relevant across models and projects.
The ILS Connect library serves as a hub for all ILS created materials,
such as webinar slides, recordings and one-page summaries
that focus on these important health care topics.
