Tricia: Hi, I'm Tricia Clements,

Chief Fur Wrangler with MuttButs.com.

In this video, I'm going to go over

some different ideas that you can do

to come up with events to grow your business.

Make sure you stay tuned to the end

because I have a free download for you

that has a list of different places online

that you can list your events once scheduled.

The first thing that you can do is come up

with some type of fundraising event.

If you are involved in any local nonprofits,

talk to them and see

if there is some type of an event

that you could maybe sponsor,

organize for them,

you could be a big part of that.

That can help get your name

out in the community, but also help

a local nonprofit.

Those are really great events

to be connected with,

especially if it's an event that you are

already actively involved

with the organization.

Another great idea

is to do some type of social event

like a wine tasting or beer tasting.

For instance, there are numerous

different local venues

that have wine tastings and beer tastings,

they love to partner

with other organizations

to help draw in their customers as well.

So you have two different audiences

that you can get information out to,

then draw in more people to basically

promote your information

to both your customers

also the customers of the place

that you are having either the beer tasting

or wine tasting.

You can also go ahead and maybe

have a door prize,

so that you've got something

that they can come, show up for,

have a good time, and also

have a chance to win a door prize.

I also want to talk a little bit about

online marketing with free live stream.

Video by 2019 is going to basically be

90% of all online internet traffic

that is shared.

So you definitely want to make sure

that you're taking advantage of that

incorporating video and live stream

in your online strategy for events.

That could include having,

when you go to events,

when you have your own events,

to make sure you are promoting the events

ahead of time on live stream.

Also, live streaming from the event

making sure that you

all of your friends and fans

are also following and sharing

that live stream.

You can also do that at different

local conferences and associations.

A lot of people love it

when you come to their event and do live stream

because they'll want to share that out as well.

So make sure whether it's your event,

someone else's event,

conference association that you do

incorporate live stream and video

also let people know that you are doing that.

The last thing I want to talk about

is a different creative event.

While it may not exactly be an event,

it can be a creative adventure.

What I mean by that is do something creative.

In the past I wanted to take my dogs swimming

dog diving and I used live stream

while we were doing it.

Of course, my dogs didn't

really want to cooperate and swim.

They wanted me to push them around on a float.

That also got lots of attention because

they weren't cooperating with me.

So anything from doing something like that,

whether you like going outdoors

showing off different nature trails

things and just letting people

possibly know about different things

in their local community

that they may not know about

may also be interested in.

It also simply gets your name out

in front of them when they see

a different unique idea.

For instance, when I took my dogs swimming

I was talking to people about that afterwards,

a lot of people hadn't heard about it,

it gave me an opportunity

to get their information and send them a link

to that live stream broadcast

where they could take a look at it and see.

KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN VOWS TO GIVE FREE MEALS FOR ANYONE IN UNIFORM. DO YOU SUPPORT THIS? - Duration: 4:17.

t has long been an unwritten policy of fast food franchises and convenience stores to

offer perks to first responders, such as free coffee or lunches.

It is good public relations and has the added benefit of fostering a good relationship with

law enforcement and other emergency services personnel, should these businesses ever need

to avail themselves of services.

It certainly is not "quid pro quo," but it is smart.

One Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise in Ohio has taken that time honored policy, and made

it public.

They recently put up a sign on their entry doors declaring that cops eat free every day.

And the response they have gotten will blow your mind.

In light of the current public debate about law enforcement and their communities, a KFC

franchise manager in Gallipolis, Ohio has decided to make a very public statement in

support of area police officers.

The restaurant has placed a hand written sign on their front door that reads:

"All uniformed police officers eat free everyday."

The sign has been seen by many as an indirect refutation of the Black Lives Matter organization,

as some see any critique of law enforcement as a direct assault on law and order.

Police supporters have countered the BLM with their own "Blue Lives Matter" and "All

Lives Matter" memes, suggesting that their is somehow an increased level of peril for

officers in recent times.

This issue has been in the public arena for a few years now.

Some reasons for the increased public concern for First Responder safety may include a general

focus on gun-related crime, attention being brought to officer-related shootings by the

Black Lives Matter movement, and a quantifiable, but slight, spike in violence against law

enforcement officers this year.

Statistically, however, violence against law enforcement is down from an historic high

during the mid-1970's, when the average number of police officers killed in the line

of duty reached around 280 a year.

In fact, current numbers are even down significantly from 2010, when more than 175 officers were

killed in action, including 61 gun-related fatalities and 6 assaults.

And, According to the FBI, there was an almost 20 percent decrease in the number of felonious

deaths of police officers between 2014 to 215.

The sign has been photographed and shared on Facebook over six thousand times, with

another ten thousand "likes."

A number of people on both sides have commented on the restaurant's policy, saying things

like:

"That's wonderful.

I feel all restaurants should do this for the men and women who protect us,

even the men and women in the armed forces.
