Waching daily Nov 4 2017

Hey guys, Callie here.

If you haven't checked your calendar already today, I have a bit of a spoiler for you.

November is here already.

I know.

2017 is almost over.

I don't know where the year has gone, but I know I want to spend the next two months

being as intentional as I can.

There's a lot that I have on my personal to-do list I want to accomplish and part of being

intentional for me involves setting goals and making a plan.

And part of sticking to that plan and achieving those goals requires a little bit of accountability.

I know I'm not the only person in the world who can benefit from an accountability partner.

So I'm going to ask you to help me with that.

So how is this going to work?

Every month, I want to sit down and talk to you guys about what's on my list for the month

to come as well as what had been on my list for the month prior—and what I accomplished

and maybe what I didn't accomplish too.

I also want to take a chance to answer questions and maybe break down some of the challenges

we're all facing when it comes to setting goals and accomplishing them and making it

happen.

Because let's be honest: Goals suck sometimes.

And they're hard.

So why not talk about it?

Why not turn this into an opportunity to, sure, hold each other accountable, but also

maybe breakdown some of those things that are keeping us from achieving our goals to

begin with.

Number one!

Launch my YouTube channel.

If you're watching this, it means I had the balls to finally hit publish.

It means that I had the courage to finally get a project I've been so excited about off

the ground.

And yeah, I'm really nervous.

I'm used to being behind the camera.

It's scary and it's new and I'm not sure what I'm doing.

But I'm really excited to be here with you guys every weekend with a new video.

I hope you will stay tuned and subscribe for more.

Goal number two: Make an extra $500 this month.

Now there's a couple reasons this one is on my list.

It's most to help pay back some of the vet bills this one wracked up.

But in reality, this is about challenging myself to pick projects I'm passion for, whether

that's pitching an article or booking a photography appointment.

I love being able to work on things outside of my day job; I'm super lucky in that respect.

But I want to make sure that as I go forward and I do make a little bit of extra income

on the side, that I'm doing it in ways that excite me.

And that I'm using my free time in the best way possible.

That leads me into number three: Stop saying "yes" to shit I'm not excited about.

I think it's Marie Forleo that says, "If it's not a 'hell yes,' it's a 'no.'"

And that is something I really, really need to start incorporating into my life more.

And yeah, there are things in adulthood we don't get to neglect.

There are responsibilities that we have to commit to.

But things like client projects and how I'm spending time with my friends...

Those are things that I do have a say in.

And I want to make sure I'm saying "yes" to things that really do make me happy and fill

up my time in a way that is meaningful.

Goal number four: Get back to self-care.

I will be the first to admit that October got a little nuts.

I did not take care of myself the way I should and I need to make sure that does not happen

again.

So whether it's going to be taking a little bit of time to tidy up my space so I feel

good at home, or getting myself out the door and to a workout class at the gym, I really

want to spend some time taking care of me this month.

So there we have it, guys: The four things that I'm going to be working on this month.

I said there's a lot of power in writing things down, but I think for me that there's going

to be even just a little more power in sharing those goals with random people on the internet.

Thank you for being my virtual accountability partner.

And I would love to be the same for you as well, so leave me a comment!

Shoot me an email!

Tell me about what you're working on in the month of November.

I would love to hear about it.

I will be back next week with another video.

Until then, if you guys want to connect, all my information is down below.

You can also find me blogging weekly over at CallieGisler.com.

November is here.

I think it's going to be full of amazing things and cannot wait to see what you guys accomplish.

Basic Wardrobe for Baby | 8 - 18 months - 38 pieces you need in a complete wardrobe - Duration: 8:53.

Welcome back guys to another viewer requested video. A while back Mimi

if you're out there you know who you are requested that I do a minimalistic baby

wardrobe update for toddler age. When Max was 6 months old I did a video on a baby

wardrobe and I'll link that up in the cards up here if you're interested but I

think an updated version will be really good because I found that from him when

he was about nine months and started eating solids on a regular basis started

eating himself and stuff and then up till now when he's 15 months the

wardrobe needs has been different from when he was just a tiny little baby so

now it's a really good time to do an update and then I'll just see when I

have to do an update again and as you guys know I tried to keep Max's items

down and that goes for wardrobe as well and that is just because I'd like to

stay in this apartment and not get overwhelmed with the space and feel like

I have to move to a bigger place and spend more money every month on rent or

a mortgage and I think it's fun but I'm all about keeping it practical I only

give you these numbers to show you what's doable and to maybe challenge your

buying practices a little bit and it's challenged mine so I just like being in

the mindset of always being conscious of what do I actually need and yeah I'm not

just let the things pile up but I am never going to tell you that this is the

only way to do it or you should only have this or this amount of clothes for

your kid - if you feel you need more for like emergencies, spit-up, accidents or

your kid just gets more messy than mine or whatever it could be just add in the

amounts that you feel is necessary to fit your life this is just an idea for a

baseline if you're a new mom and you're curious and this is the way I like to do it

So let's get started!

For a lot of these items I find that it's really

practical to just have one pair per day so I have one pair of pants for every

day of the week and then I do my laundry on

Mondays so every Monday I wash everything and I just find this is a

really good way for me to do it. Pants: seven pairs!

I use a lot of these onesies that's just like normal cotton with long sleeves I like using the onesies still -

- just because he doesn't get cold on his back and stuff

but I have seven of these that I use on a regular basis at home I wash once a

week and then I have one in the diaper bag and I have another one at the

babysitter for accidents and that has really worked out well there's a machine

doing some digging outside so I hope you can't hear that

Moving on to sweaters I have two thin cardigan style shirts for him, that I've

used during this summer and early fall he's growing out of them but we're going

on a vacation in two three weeks to Italy so it might be warmer I'm gonna

hang on to them until then and then probably pass them on after we come back

from that break then I have three normal just like regular all year round

churches you can wear over and I have three but I actually only need two but

three is just handy but these are the ones that I use all the time when it's

just a little bit chilly then I have three knitted sweaters for him and I

mainly use those under his jacket or if you go outside like in early fall and he

also sleeps outside in his stroller wearing these my basic neat sweater wise

would be just two normal ones and then to knit at once so four in total is

completely doable if that gives you more than enough to change up but I think the

reason why I don't need more of them is also because I use these woolen like

undershirts and so he's wearing wool on the in

and then I put this one on top of that so he's already pretty worn so he does

not need another layer my mother-in-law she knitted a few of these and I would

say three of these is sufficient I think we have five but he's kind of grown out

of some of them so I just need to go through them but one of these one of

these and then you hardly ever meet these and these are a lot chunkier and

take up so much more space I have two of these short-sleeved once these left from

the summer and this is kind of where it gets tricky with kids than their clothes

because you have all of this transition because they keep growing in sizes and

you also have the seasons changing at least here and in what we do and so I

still have two of these and we are going on a vacation like I mentioned or it

might be warmer so I might need these and I'm gonna pack them so I'm gonna

hold on to these two and I count them in my total numbers today just to show you

that you might have a few items that you need to hold on to but on a regular

basis these would be the summer once and then as we move into fall and winter and

he grows and I'll just replace those with a long-sleeved kind so you don't

need these but I'm just gonna count them in to get some buffer pajamas I have

three pairs I have one that is a two-piece and then I have two of these

cute a one-piece I don't know if you need two or three I did with just two

for a long time and it was totally fine but three is just for the buffer and

moving forward I will definitely have to get more of these two-piece once because

he grows so fast within a week or two it feels like he can grow an inch he

probably doesn't but that's what it feels like and these ones his little

feet and legs can grow without me having to go out and buy some new pajamas frame

so the two-piece ones are great and also if you do need to change a diaper during

the night and when he's still in his crib that's

why I do a few times I've needed to do that these are just so much more easy to

get off he's a warm baby if he was a cold one these I would probably prefer

these because they have the foot part in here and they look so cute kids in these

little one-piece suits are so cute but I put three on there just so you have some

buffer seven pairs of cute little socks and we have one dress shirt for him I

don't keep a ton we don't need it that often I just like to always have one on

hand and he's growing out of this one so I'm gonna look into replacing it soon

max has been teething for a while he's 15 months and he has 12 teeth I think

that's a lot I don't know it might be normal but it just means that we need

these bend down still I mentioned them in the first video that I did when he

was six months but I'm just gradually phasing them out some of them are really

stained and I can't get off and so I'm just facing them out and I'm pretty sure

that within a few months you won't need them anymore I have about seven of them

maybe ten but I haven't counted them in because you might not need them at all

so they're not like a base item it's just something that I keep around so

that is a total of 38 basic items free kids it does not include hats and

jackets and shoes and all that stuff because that varies a lot depending on

what climate you're in so this is just a focus on the clothes part and of course

like I mentioned before it is not super important that you fixated on a certain

number this is just my experience of what I've actually needed for max during

the past six seven months of course I don't stick right to these numbers all

the time sometimes I have a little bit less because he grows super fast and I

can't keep up he goes out of everything within two weeks and sometimes I have

extra because people give me gifts or something or just I'm lucky to find

something that's a good deal so I might buy just one size up but in general this

is the practical amount of stuff to have fur baby and least for me that's when I

found so please share down in the comments below what is your experience

with dealing with a kind of minimalistic baby wardrobe when you

want your whole apartment Oh Flo with baby clothes and also I have a question

for you guys because I'm trying to figure this out

up till now we've had Max's clothes store buy the diaper station in the

bathroom but as his clothes gets bigger they take up more space I don't really

want to stuff more furniture in the bathroom because it's kind of small so

what do you guys do to keep the clothes near the change station is that like the

only super practical thing to do or do a lot of you guys have the change station

somewhere and then maybe the clothes in another place I'm wondering is it

practical or no let me know down in the comments I really want to learn from all

you other moms out there and if you have any other video requests please leave

them down in the comments I really appreciate it talk to you later bye

Linda Morin Candidate for Ward 5 in Huber Heights - Duration: 3:21.

Linda Morin. The first time I talked to Linda was over at a Chamber of Commerce event. I

was walking around talking with people and I just happened to find this

lady. I forget what the issue of the day was at the time but we talked a

little bit about what was going on in the city at the time. She seemed to

be quite engaged and I kept talking and brought up another subject and she knew

a lot about that subject too and I kept thinking to myself wow this lady knows a

lot about the going on in the city. It turns out after talking

for 10 or 15 minutes I figured out that she was actually one of the people that

was running for council. This was a before any the primaries.

I was actually pretty impressed with her knowledge of the city even before I knew

that she was running. The thing that really impressed me was that I could

tell that a lot of the negative newspaper articles and that kind of

stuff had already formed a negative impression about me with her but she was still able

to engage in a conversation with good back and forth with positives and

negatives about each of the issues without being judgemental based on

selling newspaper reports. Now that's kind of an important for a lot of reasons.

A lot of people don't realize that Mark Campbell has actually

spent four hundred thousand dollars advertising his business.

When you have those kind of relationships newspaper articles are

going to end up being tainted toward the people that you have the relationship

with. That's just the the fact of the matter. You know that's

life. That's how it goes. I I'm a politician that doesn't even take

campaign contributions so obviously I'm not spending that kind of money

supporting those kind of advertising. Like I said

it's just part of life. The point being is that Linda was able to put

those things away put some of those judgments that a lot of people have just

based on you know the way that things have ended up making the news.

With that though looking further into her background and stuff Linda's got

some good experience with managing facilities on base. On the bases that

she's been associated with. She's manage some childcare facilities

she's got budgeting and financial background for some of the positions

that she had. So she's well qualified and very very intelligent person to walk

into the position. If you actually looked at my flier you say and sometimes when

I've talked to her I think that she thinks that you could turn things around

in three or four days. You know she's bringing in kind of

a novice expectation of what you can accomplish when you go into a position. That's perfectly fine. I

think the chill adapt very well to the position and I hope you give her a vote
