Waching daily Nov 26 2017

Hi I'm Rev. Walker.

Today we look at Hebrews 2:17-18.

'Therefore He [Jesus] had to become like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so

that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in the service of God, to make a sacrifice

of atonement for the sins of the people.

Because he Himself was tested by what He suffered, He is able to help those who are being tested.'

We come this day bought and died for.

When we look at our brothers and sisters who are joining us in Holy Communion and taking

it together in our Church, we realize that they are precious.

During Holy Communion we rejoice because we are the people of God that God treasures.

God has reconciled this world to Himself and we rejoice in that.

We praise God for that!

Two men came not that long ago to Camp Pendleton to be treated.

One was in his 50's and the other one was just 21.

They sat alongside the other people in the waiting room.

20 - 25 people in the waiting room.

Finally the nurse came out and said, "Robert McDonald."

And the man in his 50's and the man who was just 21 stood up for the nurse to take them

back.

And she looked at them and she said, "What are your middle initials?

Evidently we have two Robert McDonald's."

The older man said, "Robert C. McDonald."

The younger man said, "Robert C. McDonald."

And she looked at her papers and she said, "My man is 51."

A little while, another nurse came out and said, "My patient is 21.

Robert C. McDonald."

And the young man went back with her and then the young man became alive with what must

be happening there!

He spoke to the nurse and then going to the other Doctor he said, "Please, I must know

more about the other Robert C. McDonald."

And that day a father and son found each other.

There had been a divorce back in 1977 and this boy had not seen his Dad since he was

2 years old.

The father had been forbidden by the judge to see either his son or two daughters.

The father sat and wept before the Doctor and nurses.

"I spent yesterday weeping," he said, "because yesterday was my son's 21st Birthday.

If I'd only know today that I would be able to embrace him as my son I would not have

quit rejoicing as I am now."

The Heavenly Father has wept long enough for you.

It is Reunion Day for you!

It is time for the Heavenly Father and you, His son or daughter, to come together in a

Family Reunion today, taking Holy Communion together.

I invite you my friend into Holy Communion today.

Better still, He invites you!

Jesus is the very image of God.

He died for you.

And you are precious, you are treasured in His sight.

We do see Jesus and He is calling us today as a family to come together.

Let us pray: We give you thanks, Heavenly Father, for our family coming together in

Holy Communion.

Thank You for this long table and for those who know you as Savior and Lord in Jesus Christ.

We thank you for our brothers and sisters today.

We give you thanks also Heavenly Father for the children that come with eager hearts to

hear Your Word and to receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ through Holy Communion.

Forgive us for our sins.

Cleanse us of all unrighteousness.

And bring us to the table (of Holy Communion).

In Jesus' Holy Name we pray, Amen.

Now my friend, go to AlphaChurch.org and participate in Holy Communion today.

God bless you my friend, Amen.
