Convert Features to Points tool tutorial | XTools Pro, extension for ArcGIS Desktop - Duration: 2:50.
XTools Pro is one of the most popular extensions for ArcGIS for Desktop end users.
In this video, we will demonstrate a practical example of using the XTools Pro "Convert Features to Points" tool.
The tool allows converting polygon and polyline features to various points.
Let's see how it can be used to plan lamp posts and lights locations in the Central Park in New York city.
Say, we are designing the new lights scheme and for the beginning we want to put lights 100 feet away from each other along drives and walkways.
First, we select a layer with drives and walkways in the table of contents and run the Convert Features to Points tool from the XTools Pro toolbar.
When the tool dialog opens, we can see the input features have already been selected.
We will use the map document location as the output points location.
The output dataset name is generated automatically by default.
As we need to create points with a specified interval spread evenly along selected polylines,
we select the Equidistant points (fixed interval) option and enter the 100 feet interval value.
We also need the output points to keep the IDs of the input polylines.
For that, we select to add ID field of the source features.
The default ID field name can be modified if required.
Now everything is set up and we can run the conversion process.
Required lamp post points have been created.
We can zoom closer to the points to review the result.
Obviously, the final scheme of planned lamp posts and lights needs to be amended according to the particular local conditions and security reasons
but the obtained result can be used to estimate the approximate lamp posts number and locations.
The demonstrated use case represents only a certain part of the tool functionality.
Briefly here are the rest of the options.
You can use the Convert Features to Points to create:
Points from all nodes and vertices of the input features,
Only start points,
Only end points,
Both start and end points,
Central points,
Self-intersection points
Fixed number of equidistant points,
Equidistant points with fixed interval between points.
Thus, the XTools Pro Convert Features to Points tool can be effectively used to derive points from polygon and polyline features any of the above (mentioned) ways.

Inspirational Video of Thomas Edison in Hindi for Students and Parents - Duration: 1:16.
One day, as a small child, Thomas Edison came home from school and gave a paper to his mother.
He said to her "Mom, my teacher gave this paper to me and told me only you are to read it. What does it say?"
Her eyes welled with tears as she read the letter out loud to her child…
"Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn't have good enough teachers to train him. Please teach him yourself."
Many years after Edison's mother had died, he became one of the greatest inventors of the century.
One day he was going through a closet and he found the folded letter that his old teacher wrote his Mother that day.The message written on the letter was
"Your son is mentally deficient. We cannot let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled."
Edison became emotional reading it and then wrote in his diary:"Thomas A. Edison was a mentally deficient child whose mother turned him into the genius of the Century."
A positive word of encouragement can help change anyone's destiny.
So, If your child doesn't perform well in exam, don't Scold Him. Try to Encourage him because
A small sheet of Paper can't decide the fate of your child.

North Korea Fires Ballistic Missile; Pres. Moon Calls for Emergency NSC Meeting - Duration: 1:41.
It's almost becoming a weekly routine now.
North Korea has fired yet another ballistic missile off its east coast this morning, which
is the third since South Korea's president Moon Jae-in's inauguration just 20 days ago.
We start with our Kim Hyun-bin at the defense ministry.
In the early hours of Monday morning, North Korea launched what appeared to be a short-range
missile... from Wonsan on its east coast.
South Korea's Joint Cheifs of Staff said the missile is assumed to be Scud-class... and
it flew about 4-hundred-50 kilometers.
The US Pacific Command has said the missile was tracked from North Korea for six minutes
before it landed in the sea... inside Japan's exclusive economic zone.
South Korea's JCS condemned the launch, calling it a clear violation of UN Security Council
resolutions and warned Pyongyang to stop its provocations, which hinder the peace and security
of the region.
"This most recent launch shows that the regime is trying to enhance its nuclear and ballistic
missile capabilities despite international sanctions and pressure.
It seems the North is trying to put pressure on the new administration in South Korea to
change its policies towards the regime."
• , • , .
President Moon Jae-in immediately called an emergency national security council meeting.
It was chaired by NSC chief and lasted for roughly 45 minutes.
This is the ninth missile test the North has carried out this year,... defying world pressure
and threats of more sanctions.
But it also comes in defiance of a fresh declaration published by the G7 leaders just this past
weekend... in which all seven member states pledged to strengthen their measures against
North Korea unless it agrees to abandon its nuclear and missile programs.

First World Cup win for New Zealand triathlete Ryan Sissons - Duration: 1:40.
First World Cup win for New Zealand triathlete Ryan Sissons
Ryan Sissons won the mens race in the latest round of the ITU World Cup in Madrid. New Zealand triathlete Ryan Sissons has won the ITU Madrid World Cup after surging ahead with just 500m to go on the run.
I think I did really well, it was a very compensated race.
I swam well, then managed to be in front of the big group at front for the bike course, and then I was just concentrated on keeping myself well hydrated and keep calm during the run, Sissons said after the win.
The first lap of the run was really hard, but then I started feeling better, and I saved a bit of energy for the final push. I am really happy of this win here in Madrid..
Sissons was in the leading group right throughout the race and made his final kick with just 500m left to edge Frenchman Raphael Montoya by eight seconds. His overall time was 1 hour 53 minutes.
The womens race was won by Georgia Taylor-Brown of Great Britain. New Zealands Deborah Lynch was back in 16th.

PRESS THIS POINT FOR 1 MINUTE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS - Duration: 4:38.
PRESS THIS POINT FOR 1 MINUTE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR BODY…UNBELIEVABLE!
Self administered reflexology and acupressure are great ways to provide quick discrete relief
for a variety of pain and symptoms without having to wait for an appointment, further
impeding your routine, or touching sensitive areas where you are experiencing pain.
Acupressure & Reflexology
Acupressure and acupuncture work on the same principles without the intimidation factor.
Acupuncture uses needles, while acupressure uses fingers providing moderate pressure.
Reflexology specifically is the use of therapeutic pressure massage in specific areas of our
hands and feet to facilitate functional flow of energy, pain relief and optimal health.
There are areas on our hands and feet called reflexes that correspond to specific areas
of our bodies and even organ systems within our bodies.
Often in areas that we feel pain, there is a blockage of energy preventing health and
wellness.
Below are combined approaches of these two practices that you can use, at home or on
the go.
MIGRAINES AND HEADACHES
You can ease the pain from headaches and migraines by focusing on the area at the base of the
fingernails.
Concentrate on the index finger and the webbing between thumb and index finger.
SINUS PRESSURE AND PAIN
Face palm towards you and bring your thumb to the pad of your finger and forefinger to
the opposite side close to your cuticle.
For 1-3 minutes, squeeze and hold the tip of each finger and press firmly.
Then, lightly massage the area.
Do the same on every finger.
TENSION AND PAIN IN THE NECK
Start by massaging from the middle part between the knuckle at the top toward the base of
the finger.
Do this on every finger on both hands.
UPSET STOMACH
Warm up the whole thumb by massaging it.
It will respond to the stomach and spleen meridians.
Also, you can press directly in the center of your palm.
COLD OR SORE THROAT
Massage the whole thumb and warm it.
You can apply pressure for a longer period on the meaty part of the web of your hand.
Moreover, apply specific pressure to the thumb on the tissue to the inside by the nail.
FATIGUE
Massage the whole hand with a gentle pressure.
Then, press directly the point on your middle finger just below and on the side of your
nail on the side closest toward the index finger.
MENSTRUAL CRAMPS OR ABDOMINAL PAIN
Massage gently the whole hand and then press directly on the point on your index finger
just below and on the side of your nail on the side closest to the thumb.
Another location you need to press directly is a point on your small finger just away
from the nail on the cuticle line toward the outside.
First, start by massaging your hands together for a minute to boost the energy and sensitivity
of your hands.
Massage gently by using the fingers and thumb of your opposite hand to warm up the skin.
Press firmly the area of interest using your opposite thumb and fingers.
Hold it for 1-5 minutes and repeat 1-5 times as needed, or each day to prevent this problem.
For more gentle areas hold 3-5 seconds.
Keep the pressure and start slowly massaging in small clockwise circles up to five times.
Then, give the area a small break.
Try to move the tissue with this massage, not merely rubbing the skin.
Press firmly again up to a minute and then take a break.
Do this process up to five times.
Staying hydrated is probably one of the best tips from massage therapists and body workers.
It is important because adequate hydration offers optimal health of the tissue, quality
circulation, and aids in toxins removal from the bloodstream post massage and otherwise.
Warning:
Avoid deep pressure to the web of the hand while pregnant.
Also, there are areas that can support stimulating uterine contractions, and if you are not in
labor and supervised by a professional MT or doula, this practice should be avoided.

Park Geun-hye's third trial hearing starts, witness testimonies held for first time - Duration: 0:59.
Now to the latest on the trial of former president Park Geun-hye who's jailed over the massive
power abuse scandal...
The third hearing began this morning... and several witnesses are set to testify in today's
hearing related to the controversial merger of two Samsung affiliates in 2015,... which
was allegedly approved in exchange for bribes paid to Park's close confidante, Choi Soon-sil.
One of the key witnesses Chu Jin-hyung, the former chief of Hanwha Investment & Securities,
who was fired for opposing the merger, appeared for the trial this afternoon.
The judges questioned Chu about whether there was pressure from the top office or from Park
Geun-hye herself.
We'll have more on that as we learn more this afternoon.
Park's bribery case has been merged with that of Choi Soon-sil who is also in the dock today.
Starting this week, judges will hear witness testimony about the joint bribery case every
Monday and Tuesday.

KOSPI breaches 2,370 for first time on Monday - Duration: 0:57.
Korean stocks this afternoon are sitting near a record high.
At 10:15, the benchmark KOSPI breached the 23-70 mark for the first time... on investors'
optimism for the new administration's economic policies.
As of 1:50 p.m., the index was back down slightly at 23-55, just about even with the last session.
Analysts say much of the rally has been fuelled by foreign investors and the country's major
securities firms.
Market bellweather Samsung Electronics, is up about a tenth of a percent from the day
before.
Industry-wise, the distribution, services and electronics sectors are up, while fiancials
are lower.
North Korea's latest missile provocation appears to have boosted defense stocks as well.
The KOSPI could be in for another record close -- to beat the one set last Friday at 23-55.
