Build that wall! Build that wall! Build that wall!

While the prospect of building more walls along the border has become hugely controvercial

under the Trump Administration, the reality is, for many areas along the border - like San Diego -

building a wall is nothing new.

The fence turned one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in America into one of the safest.

I grew up here, I learned to play here, we used to cross the border back and forth in the old days chasing rabbits with our bow and arrow.

Kelsey: How has it changed between then and now?

Well, in the eighties, it started getting very ugly. The criminal element got really big. The valley literally became one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in America.

And once it reached that critical stage, people realized they had to do something, the criminals were taking advantage of a lack of control.

I worked here when the fences weren't here. When it was just a chain link fence over there. It was out of control. There was 300 people here. They'd put babies over the fence. They were throwing soccer balls with heroin over.

In 1986, before any walls or fences separated the border between San Diego and Mexico,

Border Patrol agents in this region apprehended more than 600,000 people, accounting for one-third of all border apprehensions that year.

Construction of the primary wall, which covers 46 miles and stands between 8 and 10 feet tall, began in 1991.

And construction of a secondary fence, which stands between 14 and 18 feet high

covering 13 miles of the border, began in 1997.

Today, the San Diego sector accounts for only a small fraction of total apprehensions along the border each year.

You actually got businesses right on the border now. If you take a picture of aerial photograph and just shoot down the fence, you'll see Mexico has built right to the fence.

They have businesses and homes right on the fence. We've been backed off and been intimidated because of the illegal and the crime problem.

The fence has allowed businesses on the United States side to come up and come up closer to it.

And what's interesting is that people come in legally from Mexico shop, in these shops in the United States and then go back to Mexico

but they do it through the gate.

It took me only about 15 minutes, so it's not hard at all... I'm sure there are other days that are a lot busier then today.

So, that wasn't my case today, so, it was pretty easy.

The city has even gone so far as to put in parks and want to put campgrounds up here because of the decreased in criminal activity

and the safety measure that have been put in place just by us being here. Most community leaders will admit easily that it's because of Border Patrols here that these things are possible

because they weren't, back in the day, before those barriers and before the increased manpower was here.

I think people are getting so obsessed with symbolism, rather than substance.

San Diego has the largest land port of entry in the world, we have the biggest gate in the entire world here.

But we also have a high fence... they have a saying in Mexico -

Good fences make good neighbors.

Since building a wall, crime rates in San Diego have dropped dramatically.

In 1989, there were more than 100,000 total crimes committed, and last year, there were just under 34,000.

Do you think that there are any lessons learned in San Diego and that the type of infrastructure

that's put into place here could, or should be replicated in other areas?

Physical structures can be a major aid at law enforcement.

And the people that really are the victims when you lose law enforcement are the weak and the vulnerable.

The people that die along this border - I mean, I've rescued drowning illegals

that would be pushed during the flood period by smugglers.

They were walking across, they didn't know the dangers.

The fence sends a very clear message to everybody before they even try to cross the border. No, don't come here the wrong way.

they come to your link and when they

they then get sent straight here to the

affiliate products and I'm going to put

a big a here for this is the affiliate

product that you are promoting when they

8 Outsiders To Look Out For At The 2017 Giro d'Italia - Duration: 5:22.

- There are some huge names competing

at this year's Giro d'Italia

but who are the riders

who could spring a surprise on a stage?

A little bit like Primoz Roglic

and Giulio Ciccone did at last year's event.

Well, coming up are GCN's outsiders to watch

at this year's race.

Roglic's team mate Victor Campenaerts

made his grand tour debut at the Vuelta a Espana

at the end of last year,

and he makes our list curtesy of his time trialling ability.

He is in fact one of the few riders

to get the better of Alejandro Valverde so far this year.

He pipped him by a single second to win the time trial stage

of the Ruta del Sol all the way back in February.

He's a former under-23 European champion in the discipline,

and the current Belgian national time trial champion,

so watch out for him at the two individual tests

at this year's race.

Still just 22 years of age, Jakub Mareczko

of Wilier-Triestina

has already got 22 pro wins to his name.

He made his debut at the Giro d'Italia last year

but it was far from successful.

He didn't figure at all in the opening sprint stages

up in the Netherlands,

and then he was forced to withdraw from the race

on stage five through respiratory problems.

Now, he has won a lot already

but those have generally been in smaller races,

and that is something that he'll be looking to change

in the near future.

And if he is at full health this year

a stage win is certainly not out of the question.

You would think that a stage win at last year's race

would be enough to have your name

struck off an outsider's list like we're going through today

but Alexander Foliforov of Gazprom-Rusvelo

is still not a big name.

His win in the uphill time trial last year

was a huge surprise

but those that rated him as an amateur

in the under-23 ranks were quick to say

that he's always been exceedingly good

at one-off efforts on the climbs.

Without an uphill time trial this year though

he will have to hope he can get himself

into the breakaways on the stages that most suit him.

Ryan Gibbons is a 22-year-old South African rider

in his first year as a professional

riding for Team Dimension Data.

And what a start he has had to his pro career.

Back in February he won a stage

and the overall classification at the Tour of Langkawi,

and along the way he took a further five

top five placings on the stages.

He was nothing short of consistent.

Now, it remains to be seen

exactly which direction Gibbons takes his career.

There's no doubt he's very fast in the sprint stage

but he also sees himself with a future

in the single-day classics.

Nevertheless, it is in the flat stages

that we see him shining at the Giro.

Hugh Carthy was offered his first year in the world tour

by Cannondale-Drapac for 2017, and he earned that

through some very big performances last year.

Back then he was riding for the smaller Spanish outfit

Caja Rural, and he won the Vuelta Asturias overall,

plus at the Route de Sud he was climbing

with none other than Nairo Quintana.

No wonder he had a few offers on the table

for this year.

Thus far he has been unable to take a victory in 2017

but he has been consistently strong throughout,

and we think if he gets himself

into the right breakaway in the mountains

he could well take a stage victory.

As could his teammate Michael Woods.

Rusty as he's known to his teammates

had to cut a promising middle distance running career

short through injury

but running's loss has been cycling's gain.

He certainly excels on the short, steep and explosive climbs

and he will find that type of terrain in abundance

in Italy.

At 20 years of age Vincenzo Albanese

is going to be one of the youngest riders on the start line

of this year's race

but he certainly merits his place on his Bardiani squad.

Last year he took some impressive victories as an amateur

including a stage win at the Tour de l'Avenir

where he also won the points classification overall,

plus a win in front of some decent pros

at the Trofeo Matteotti where he was riding

for the Italian national team.

Now, he's not a sprinter nor is he a climber

but if he manages to get himself up the road

in a group on one of those rolling, hilly intermediate days

he's gonna be a hard man to beat.

Team Dimension Data's Omar Fraile

could not have gotten his debut Giro d'Italia

off to a better start last year.

He won the KOM jersey on stage two,

and that's in fact the competition

he'd won overall at the Vuelta a Espana the previous year.

However, it all then went wrong.

He had a crash on stage four, got a fever that evening

and didn't mange to finish the following day's stage.

Fraile loves to go on the attack though.

We've seen it loads of times at the grand tours

but we saw it very recently at Liege-Bastogne-Liege,

one of the biggest one-day races in the world.

Firstly, he was in a small group,

and lastly, he attacked on his own very close to the finish.

That proves that he is a man on form,

and also that he is not afraid to go on the attack

in front of the biggest riders in the world.

We can expect to see him up the road at the Giro

on more than one occasion,

I can almost guarantee you that.

at this year's event

What Silicon Valley and Kim Kardashian Have in Common - Duration: 6:51.

So if you said silicone is what Kim Kardashian and Silicon Valley have in common, creative,

but that's not where I'm going with this.

Here's why.

Because there's a difference between silicon, which is a 14th element on the periodic table

vs. silicone, which is a synthetic substance that people use for many different things

that you can figure out, but this isn't that video for it.

Let me tell you why it's a waste of time for you to constantly compare your business to

Silicon Valley and Kim Kardashian.

You are guaranteed to be disappointed, 100% to be disappointed.

Here's why.

They're celebrities.

They're on T.V. Magazines love writing about it.

MSNBC news, MSN money, all these channels love talking about companies in Silicon Valley.

They're going public, they're amazing, they're this, they're that.

And so all these young entrepreneurs say, "Oh my gosh, I want to be like those guys.

I want to start a technology company out of Silicon Valley.

But what they don't realize is the following.

Only 4% of Fortune 500 companies are based out of Silicon Valley.

Only five-and-a-half, six percent of Forbes 400 richest people are based out of Silicon

Valley.

Only that much.

Now watch this here.

I want you to keep this in mind.

When we're saying only five or six percent, stay here with me.

Why should I not want to be like Silicon Valley or Kim Kardashian?

Here's why.

#1: It's simply reality T.V. Kim Kardashian's life, is not real.

It's reality T.V. to get millions of people to watch, not for you to say, "I want to be

Kim Kardashian one day" because it's not real.

It's fake.

Silicon Valley, it's fake.

It's a small little bubble that they have.

It's not real business.

The way they run their businesses is not the way you run 99.9% of businesses around the

world, around the country.

#2: Math never makes sense.

How did Kim become famous?

It's the question everybody asks.

How did this company pay $20 billion to this business and this business only does $400

million a year of revenue?

Why did Facebook pay so much money to Instagram?

Instagram wasn't even making money.

What happened there?

The math doesn't make sense.

So you running a business, a real, legitimate business, that you can show math, it's different

than Silicon Valley.

#3, you'll be disappointed if you compare, 100% of the time.

Well, when I look at Kim's life and I look at these people in Silicon Valley, they're

businesses are so amazing.

I must be a terrible CEO or entrepreneur or this or that, you're not.

Listen, let me tell it to you in a completely different way.

I'm here to tell you, I'm willing to tell you this.

The guy that's running a business, doing $17 million a year with his or her business, that

she grew, from zero to $17 million a year, she may be as good as a CEO as any of those

CEOs in Silicon Valley.

Yes!

Absolutely!

Why?

Because in Silicon Valley, one can go raise money and get $10 million round one, 50 round

two, $200 round three, and they bring the right people around.

They had one great idea, it blows up, and then they say, this guy's the greatest CEO

of all time.

But the person who's $17 million may be a better CEO.

You can't compare yourself on what Silicon Valley does.

Next, they live on an island of their own.

It's a completely different island.

They go in a completely different community.

These guys grow up in a different school, college environment, the restaurants, the

places, they're in a completely different environment than you are, maybe out of Toledo,

or maybe out of Duluth or maybe out of you know, Austin, or Jacksonville or some of these

cities that you may be a part of, a completely different life.

#5, few duplicatable habits.

You know what's a duplicatable habit?

What Sam Walton did is duplicatable.

What Jeff Bezos did, is duplicatable habits.

What people take regular businesses and they build it into conglomerates, those are duplicatable

habits that you could do.

Here's why.

Let me remind you of this.

Sixty percent, listen, warning sign, 60% of Fortune 500 companies from 1970 are no longer

around today.

Do you know what that means?

Here's 500 companies, 300 of them, gone!

Only 200 of them are around from 1970.

What does that mean to you?

Hmmm. . . that means Silicon Valley may be nothing 40 years from now.

And no one even talks about it except for textbooks in universities to say mistakes

that were made.

or things they did right.

Now I'm not telling they don't do a lot of things right.

I use a lot of their companies and I invest into them.

But to use your business based on how they do it, don't forget that this [going out of

business] can happen.

If you go to a place where everybody goes to and it's already predictable, you're leaving

all the other opportunities that no one is even paying attention to.

Now, having said that, let me tell you duplicatable way that you could do something to build your

business, something that is completely different than this reality T.V. that they live in.

Very simple.

Typically, here's how somebody becomes an entrepreneur.

They learn how to sell.

They learn how to create, because they shadow somebody.

So I work under somebody and I'm like, man, this guy this is how he sells.

This is great, I can do this as well.

Here's how he makes phone calls.

I can do this as well.

Dude, did you see what he.

. . I can do that as well.

I analyze it, and shadow someone.

They see somebody designs, creates something.

They build this desk, they build this car, they build an engine.

Man, I shadow them.

I see this is kind of cool.

I can do this.

Or they broker a product.

They sell real estate.

They sell insurance.

They sell them as they're brokering somebody else's product that they didn't create themselves.

But they learned how to broker that product.

They do this for a while, and then you save money.

You save 10 grand, 20 grand, 50 grand, 100 grand, 200, 300, of your own money, in your

pocket, because you did this for a couple of years.

Then you save your money, then you show proof that you know what you're doing in an industry

you become an expert, you and a group of people decide to start a business, and you own a

piece of the company.

You and the people that started a business together.

Then you raise money.

Then you build your business.

Then you either sell it off or keep growing your company.

This, my friends, is duplicatable.

This is reality T.V.

So in closing, if you compare your personal life to our friend, Kim Kardashian, or if

you run your business and you compare yourself to all the people in Silicon Valley, you're

bound to be disappointed and discouraged with yourself.

Focus on your game.

Focus on the fundamentals.

Focus on what works.

Focus on growing your base, your business, your company, your life, your personal life,

see what you can do to make that better.

And believe me, a big victory could be around the corner for you as well, if you do it right.

Psychiatry – Depressed Mood: By Javeed Sukhera M.D. - Duration: 3:30.

Depression is a concept that can be both a symptom and an illness.

A depressed mood is a common presenting symptom.

The term 'depressed mood' may include feeling of sadness, hopelessness, or discouragement.

A depressed mood is a key symptom in the diagnosis of a major depressive episode (MDE).

According to the DSM-5, in addition to having a depressed mood, patients must have at least

5 of the symptoms famously remembered by the SIGECAPS mnemonic.

This stands for:

Sleep disturbances Loss of Interest (anhedonia – which is a

pervasive lack of pleasure) Increased Guilt (or persistent worthlessness)

Low Energy (or high in cases of atypical depression) Loss of Concentration

Appetite changes (increase or decrease) Psychomotor disturbances, and

Suicidal ideation

In order to meet criteria for an MDE, One of the symptoms must either be a depressed

mood or anhedonia.

Symptoms must be present for the same 2 week period, represent a change from previous functioning,

cause clinically significant distress or impairment and must not be attributable to a medical

condition or direct physiological effects of a substance.

A person can be diagnosed with major depressive disorder in the presence of a MDE that is

not better accounted for by schizoaffective disorder or superimposed on schizophrenia,

delusional disorder or unspecified psychotic disorder.

In other words, other disorders may produce symptoms of an MDE.

Commonly, MDE symptoms can occur in response to a major stressor which would fall into

the category of an "adjustment disorder with depressed mood".

Also the patient must not have had previous manic or hypomanic episodes.

MDE in the presence of previous manic or hypomanic episode points to a diagnosis of bipolar affective

disorder, Type I or Type II respectively.

A depressed mood is also a criteria in the diagnosis of persistent depressive disorder

(previously referred to in the DSM-IV as dysthymia).

Here, the depressed mood must be present for most of the day, most days than not for a

period of ≥2years.

Individuals with persistent depression have a more chronic clinical picture lasting years

instead of weeks.

Other depressive disorders to be aware of include premenstrual dysphoric disorder, postpartum

depression.

Although a depressed mood is a key symptom of these psychiatric mood disorders, it is

important to recognize that it can occur as a result of normal grief, substance use, or

a general medical illness like hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, Parkinson's disease,

stroke, or vitamin B12 deficiency.

about really the importance of color and

dressing I know I well right now I never

have color people tell me why don't you

ever wear anything with color I don't

know why I'm resistant to it maybe I

don't know how to use color? you're not

alone a lot of women don't wear color

some sometimes there is like security

in just wearing the dark color or you

know simple you know white or black

period. The color can make all the

difference in the world first of all

when you put something on and you don't

know why you don't like how you look in

it ... there's something bothering you about it ...

a lot of times it's the color well let me

put it this way, somebody can ask you are

you feeling okay today and it could be

that you're actually fine but if you're

wearing a green that makes you look green

they're gonna want to know if you're okay interesting, okay!

It's really important and in women, look you

know colorful eyes like you it is

amazing how often they don't wear a

color to bring out the color of their

eyes, it's a lost opportunity so do wear

a color that's the color of your eye you

may be surprised when your eyes are just

sort of pop out, so when you pair when

you wear the wrong color you are

going to look sick you are going to look

older than you are

and you are going to look tired those

are three things that one never strives for

so old tired and sick

old tired and sick, and I always say

when I give presentations that if you wear

the wrong color for a few days in a row in

an office setting and you call in sick

every ones gonna go oh yeah she doesn't look too good

so you know it's really it's

amazing what color can do when you wear

the right color you are going to look

rested you are going to look healthier

and you're definitely going to look

younger

somebody can ask you if you had any work done

so the thing about color is you want to

you want to look at your eyes

you want to look at your hair you want

to look at your skin tone and just

experiment a little bit you know I mean

I I mean I can go really in depth but

I'm going to give you like you know

the basics yeah do what makes your eyes

pop okay see what makes your eyes

brighter see what make the

white of your eyes yellower or whiter

you don't want to go for the yellower

so see even your teeth get affected by

the color you wear, they can look

whiter or they can look yellower again

yellower is not the way to go

so so the thing is experiment you know

and then don't don't get caught up like

you were saying how you always look you

know always kind of wearing the same

colors or a dark color because you're

really missing out on an opportunity

well I've gone to you know going and

going in my uniform my 2nd Act

uniform I'm looking at the old you know

different videos I've done it's all the

same I need to change Scarlett help!

Many, many years ago before I knew what I did

I did wear a lot of the wrong color and I

looked sad, oh I can't imagine you looking sad

I looked sad and I looked sad because I was

wearing awful color but I was raised that

you only wore brown and beige there's

no such thing as black ... brown or beige

brown or beige ... well they're really not

great colors for me though my earlier

days I don't look too good because I

didn't know any better you know so now I

know better. So would you say

there's no bad color is just bad colors

for you there's no colors to avoid it's

really the ... I mean I know that

there's people that that specialize in

doing color ....when I

when I work with somebody either personally or

virtually I always do color analysis

okay just okay because you know first

when you know what colors are right for

you or what's wrong for you, you're going

to make a lot fewer mistakes when you shop and

you better find out that

thing in your closet that you never

like to wear, you're going to understand why you

don't want to wear it and why it doesn't

look good on you and you're going to be

very happy to get rid of it as opposed

to holding on to it because if you're going to

look older or sick or tired why would you

ever want to wear that? Yeah, right right

I mean sometimes you can cheat

and add something else to it to make it

work and I talked about that in my video

series but for the most part if you look

sick it's not really the best thing for you to

wear, so there definitely are colors that

was women shouldn't wear and there is

color that she should wear so I mean I

had clients who have come to me and said

I don't know what colors to wear I just

don't know what to wear so their closets

are pretty much black and white ... that's me

yeah yes and beige, and pinky and

stuff yes you should try more blues ... hmm

you know and so I know if you have

colored eyers, you know match them up

that's the easiest thing to do right

away so you have no excuses now ...well

my eyes are green what if I wear olive and

look sick no I don't know I you know

no you can wear it you can definitely wear

some green absolutely yeah yeah I'm

just kidding ... I have I and olive on me makes

my skin look more olive and then I don't

look good ... you look gorgeous in what you're

wearing right there in the turquoise I

guess yeah it's just beautiful beautiful

say yes and so on in your program your

online program you do help with color

do you walk somebody through a

color analysis ... I hold colors up

colors up to my face and I talk about

colors and I show the palette of colors

that each person should be and I help I

help you decide what color palette you

should be in okay and that way you will

know what to look for and what to avoid

and it's a video that goes more in

depth in what I just said now but

basically there's I just four seasons of

color that the easiest way is to do it

winter summer spring and fall and I'm

a winter but I'll tell you that as we

I forgot how you describe it ... but as we

get better our the colors

that used to look good on us don't

always look the same on us... so I always use

Elizabeth Taylor is the perfect example

she was this you know bright-eyed

brunette and then as she aged she was

very silver hair so the colors

that she used to look good in were

terrible for her for her

silver look so she totally changed from

more bright colors to softer colors so

we need to keep that in mind as we

change we have to change our colors the

clothes that we wear sometimes the size

that we wear and the style that we wear

and once you realize that it's like

it's like earth chattering ... I want to offer

I like to be transparent let you guys

know what my experiences are you can

laugh at me if you want to when I first

started ecommerce maybe about nine years

now which seems like a really really

long time um and people are calling me a

genie with this ponytail so your wish is

my command today anything you want to

wish you got it okay so um eight years

ago nine years ago whatever it is now

it's all a big fall when i first started

one line selling guys I just jumped in

ok I am by nature a very don't drag it

out commute don't don't drag it out

jameelah um I in vine h er a very very

spontaneous person I'm spontaneous I

like the thrill I like the ride I like

the you know do a lot of things

spontaneously and that's just me ok so I

but you don't want to do that in

business how you want to put that in a

bottle okay when you're in business okay

and hopefully chris is on here because

i'm gonna see her hopefully she said

when here inviting some people out into

this life so guys don't forget to share

this if you know anyone else who may be

when i first got started oh you shared

already it Chris sent me a message like

I first started ecommerce okay I did not

read a book and I always share this

story okay I didn't read a book I did

not study I did not go and seek out a

mentor I just thought because I had been

in business and I was like a young

person on jazzy and everything and

trying to sell this and that that I had

what I needed so I literally went out

and I took money every time I got paid

out of my paycheck and I bought a whole

block of products I started listening on

my website and I started selling them

and know the sales did not come any time

soon after I started listening those

products to my website but I was a

fighter i didn't give up i started

selling a lot of things locally having a

lot of jewelry parties and inviting

people over i started doing a lot of in

person selling okay local selling going

to different like accepting different

bending opportunities and stuff like

that now i was selling jewelry so first

of all for some of you that do that

that's all good like I'm not knocking

you for doing vending opportunities but

the good thing about selling online is

it gives you a lot of freedom it gives

you a lot of schedule flexibility you

don't have to be in person you really

don't have to work that quite that hard

with an online store okay but I was

doing all the work and I got tired

because let me tell you what happens

when you go to vending opportunities and

you set up your little table and people

are coming over to your table with their

kids and they're touching on things and

they're feeling on things and they're

wanting to pick stuff up and try it on

your jewelry breaks it breaks and so

then you're responsible for replacing

that jewelry and sometimes you don't

find out that it's broken until you get

all of your pieces home so I started

then some

with ten things you saw nothing you

sweat all day you stand out there hot

all day and you sell nothing okay so um

yeah your girl was frustrated okay and

so I'm just going to assess my

background I eventually started getting

some education connecting with other

entrepreneurs I saw it out quite a few

mentors somewhere waste of money

somewhere not thank you so much for

those reactions and then love y'all

definitely don't forget those reactions

okay hard it up and like it up okay if

you understand what I'm saying but I had

a lot of falls on the head okay a lot of

jabs to the head over the years and

stuff like that thanks for that love

okay so today I want to set your

business up for success I want for you

to have the recipe that you need really

all the reactions i want you to have the

recipe that you need for your absolute

success with e-commerce so number one

jumping in headfirst and you're not

taking the time to educate yourself so

that's number one number two is capital

do not believe the myth especially not

with this business module okay model do

not believe the myth that you can get

involved with e-commerce with zero

dollars now I don't know about some of

that other click and go and click and

paste and all you gotta do is do this

and all you gotta do is do that and you

can make money out of nothing I don't

know about those businesses okay because

I'm not involved with them all the

businesses that I'm involved with thanks

involved with personally you need the

moolah to get started you need some

capital okay it doesn't

need to be thousands of dollars i would

say at least five hundred to a thousand

dollars and more and just tuck away to

get started because I've seen some

people do some real raunchy things

getting started in business with no

money and getting darn jammed up jammed

up so you don't want that so start out

with some come on y'all we gotta have

some coins you got to spend those coins

to make those coins you need to have a

little bit of capital to invest into

your business don't just start your

e-commerce business with nothing with

zero coins guys if you're coming in loud

need to ask yourselves a series of

questions so what I suggest what I

suggest guys is that you start out if

you are brand-new and you really don't

have money to invest in paid traffic

please do consider starting off selling

on a marketplace nothing is wrong with

marketplace selling unless you are

passionate about a specific idea so like

with me okay I don't sell hair I don't

sell hair I don't sell makeup I'm not

passionate about any of those things

okay so I don't make soap in my bathroom

I don't make jewelry i can make jewelry

but i just don't have the patience for

that I don't so I don't have my own

fashion line okay and that's beautiful

and that's wonderful if you do so if you

do have something specific like that

then you may want to look at

opportunities to be able to create your

own store but even businesses and brands

can start by selling on a marketplace

lots of businesses and brands start

their store on ebay or amazon or on a

marketplace which they call their home

until they start making sales and I have

to be honest with you that is the smart

way to go you either start with a

marketplace where you start selling on a

self-managed platform what does that

mean you got to manage it yourself all

the traffic all the foot traffic to your

store whether or not Google trust you or

not whether or not Google is going to

send traffic your way you are

responsible for them and because your

new kid on the block you haven't been

around very long you literally just

launched your online store oh you

started on ebay now on Shopify okay Carl

okay that's awesome so here's the thing

here's the difference Google is not

going to be excited about indexing and

referring traffic to a brand new kid on

the block they don't know you like that

they don't know whether or not your site

is

spammy with a lot of irrelevant hey

butterfly always know which you thank

going to be excited guys they aren't

going to be excited about referring

traffic to some store that could

possibly be spammy a lot of irrelevant

content and links ok Google is going to

be a little harder on you when you're a

new kid on the block so now you've got

to know some SEO methods you've got to

know some traffic methods to be

responsible to getting traffic to your

store and you may even have to possibly

rely on free traffic or rely on blogging

and different things which is a new

learning curve that you're going to need

to learn but if you start out with a

marketplace ebay has been around for

years amazon has been around for years

some of these other selling platforms

guys they've been around for years

google trust them they've built good

relationships with google they are

google trusted sites so it's no problem

for them to be able to bring traffic to

your products so think about that why

reinvent the wheel when the wheel has

already been invented for you and if

you're just starting out and you really

don't know a lot of stuff about traffic

why not get started quickly on a

marketplace so platform you just have to

choose the platform that is right for

you it's going to cost you some money

very little money but it's going to cost

you some money to sell on amazon it's

going to cost you some money like

selling fees it's out when ebay in open

sky and their etsy and it's a lot of

other marketplaces that you can sell

your products and service you cannot

sell them for free if you guys are

getting this i want to see your

reactions and your comments guys i want

to see that you are here with your girl

ok so you're definitely going to have to

choose a platform i have some people to

ask me how can i get started thank you

platform can i get started on social

media yes the answer is yes now facebook

apps

we Instagram just added a feature where

you can actually tagged items from your

online store to Instagram so all of the

social media platforms social selling is

a biggie you have wanelo you have

different so sho shopping engines hey

for joining that you can actually sell

your stuff and I know some Instagram

sellers that are really really big with

Instagram selling so there are a lot of

other creative ways that you can start

out if you really honestly don't have a

lot of money to invest in a self-managed

platform or in marketplace selling so

that's something else to think about

number four what is your traffic source

you are going to hear this from me a

million times you cannot be everywhere

all the time so in order to be a master

of something you are going to have to be

dedicated to something you're going to

have to put in enough time and

consistency to gain momentum okay on

certain traffic sources what is Thanks

Jamila your traffic stores that's number

four what is it what is it going to be

so I would suggest you start with the

major ones i would suggest you start

with the ones that you had the most

experience on ones that you're actually

interested in and that you're already on

start there start there right so if

you're already real big one Instagram

you know how it works you love to be

there start promoting your products

there start finding creative ways to

dedicate to that platform start seeking

out edge education and information to

master Instagram selling and use

Instagram to drive traffic to your

website okay so there we go that's one

way you have facebook of course that's a

whole nother world you have pinterest of

course that's a whole nother world so

you have in some people actually hey

ecomme cash way and sometimes you

actually have um what else y'all cuz my

thoughts sometimes you have facebook you

have pinterest you have Instagram okay

I'm getting stuck so I'm just going to

move on

yes so you have those social platforms I

would start with the major ones I would

start with the ones guys that you're

already one and I would sell I would

start selling on those okay and then I

would move from there so as you master

maybe like one or two and then you can

slowly add in new sources but please

don't do it to yourself please don't try

to be everywhere all the time but what I

was going to say because it just hit me

you can also use YouTube marketing you

can also take wonderful videos of your

product in action and you can start

building a following over there too but

commit to it the key is committing to

your traffic source because if you have

even if you're on ebay or amazon you can

still run traffic using social media to

give you a boost from from social media

platforms okay you don't have to not do

it because you're on a website that's

already going to bring you traffic so

think about that and my last one guys is

my friend one of my best friends that's

really given me a lot of results and his

name is consistency consistency whatever

you do in all of your doing guys be

consistent you're going to need to be

consistent in order to see results if

you're not consistent you are not going

to gain momentum to your store if you're

not like for instance if Pinterest is

something that you want to commit to you

need to be on your site whether your

products or on a marketplace are on your

own self managed platform you need to be

pinning your product every day you don't

need to pin the same product every day

because that gets annoying but you need

to pin a different product every day as

you add products to your store they need

to get pinned next day you need to be

pinning something do a blog post on your

store have some links okay not too much

not too spammy but have some links

relating to what you blog about so let

me give you an example okay summer is on

the way there are a lot of things if you

have especially if you have a fashion

store there are a lot of our general

store there are a lot of things because

summer is coming that you could be

selling on your store and this is one I

think I share

my group on sunday bit ly bitdi y 4 /

i wear and i buy everything i sell i buy

it i buy it that's why i have clauses of

stuff because i buy it so because i want

to know this is just a bonus too I want

to know what my product is like when it

before I put it in my customers hand I'm

going to give you any information that

has not actually gave me some form of

success myself and that's just me okay

so here's a body chain and it has a

little moon on it in the bottom I can't

gave it away in my group because I give

away products every Sunday so this is

really cute okay it is a hot seller it's

a hot seller so if you put this item

along with a whole what plethora a whole

I'm using big words a whole plethora of

body chains on your website okay and you

start to pin them daily to pinterest and

you continue to create different boys

and you start to pin them to your

website okay um guess what you're going

to its them to start gaining momentum in

traffic is going to start coming in

guess what i'm not running any ads to my

Shopify store right now but i'm getting

sales every day and it's pretty annoying

because i hate filling the orders I hate

it when I see those hands don't do that

again I hate filling the orders but it's

money I love the cash but I just hate to

do the work sometimes okay and I don't

have anybody hired for Shopify so but

the organic traffic guys is coming in

from different websites that i have

consistently you need to stop being the

devil okay so I

actually getting organic traffic to

these products so this is what I want

you to do this is your homework if you

guys aren't on pinterest yet why not I

boards and everyday go into that website

any new content any new products pin pin

pin I can guarantee you do it for 20 let

me see I'll give you 30 days commit to

pinning at least five to ten things a

day for 30 days tell me what happens to

your sales and traffic come back and

tell me now don't come back and tell me

if you haven't done it consistently

don't just pin one thing a day and think

that that's gonna I mean that's better

than nothing but don't talk to me if

that's what you're going to do don't

associate those results with my business

but I'm just saying you need to pen at

least five to ten date thing every day

don't keep pinning the same thing over

and over pin new products and new

content daily okay on pinterest when a

daily basis commit to it for 30 days

it's nothing all you got to do is

install the chrome on button up on the

toolbar or use the pin it button under

your products it takes you two seconds

or have your assistant or VA or whoever

you're working with to do it for you but

you need to gain momentum okay sites

like eBay pinterest wanelo they like to

send traffic to active users so if you

line over there dormant no they're not

going to send people to you because when

the last time you've been on pinterest

you got to be active and the more active

you are the more momentum the more

momentum okay that's your site games and

I'm kind of swerving off a little bit

but with Pinterest go in to pinterest

let's say you need ideas for what you're

going to sell going to pinterest and

sort those pins there's an app called

pin sort it's free you can sort the pens

my likes re pens they can give you a

great idea of products to sell they can

give you a great idea of topics to talk

God Doesn't Have A "Plan B" | Ganel-Lyn Condie - Duration: 3:22.

I love telling other peoples' stories.

That's what I love to do.

And, I think it's because when you tell someone else's story, or even your own story you share

on a blogpost or wherever it is, you can see the full picture, right?

But most of us are living through a story.

We're not at the end of the story—and really none of us are at the end of any story, but

there's certain experiences where we, we—just like a GPS.

I plug in an address and I want to get there.

And, unless I've taken a wrong turn, I don't have a GPS voice prompt saying: "You're doing

awesome.

Like, way-to-go!

You look great today.

You're right on time."

I only hear the GPS prompt when it's about to prompt me to turn or, you know like just

today, I took a wrong turn and I had to do a U-ie.

And all of the sudden, there were all these prompts: "Turn around, turn around, turn around."

I feel like that's how God is with us.

Most of the time we're doing fine.

You know?

We're heading along the path and then, all of the sudden, we feel like we haven't gotten

that reassurance we're doing great, that we're fine, that we're good.

We don't hear God saying: "Great job. Great job."

The opposite is true.

Sometimes, we take a totally wrong turn and we think: "Oh no!

I have totally messed up God's plan for me!"

And yet, the truth is, He doesn't have some kind of plan b.

He's not worried that we have totally gotten off course and that we can't be okay.

The same analogy with the GPS is when I do that, when I turn wrong, there's always a

re-direct route, right?

Sometimes, it's: turn around and head back.

And if you're dealing with addiction, or some other major choice that really, maybe, puts

you in a position where you're in trouble with the law you do have a big re-direct,

right, going on there.

Sometimes you gotta go back and you've gotta make amends and you've gotta fix something.

But for most of us, you know, it's just a simple: "Okay, you can turn here, two streets down.

It may take a couple of minutes, but you're going to be fine and you're going to get there."

God is really clear about the journey.

He really wants us to have the experience.

The choice.

The experience of falling down.

The sometimes-turning-in-the-wrong-direction.

And we learn: "Okay, never turn right there again, right?"

That's how we learn.

And yet, we don't always feel comfortable with that.

So, I'm just here to say that you are not messing up God's plan for you.

He doesn't have some big plan B in case you just mess everything up.

He has a plan that's yours.

And it's going to be different than your neighbors.

Hands down—the comparison is where I think we get the most in trouble.

Because we look at the neighbor and we think: "Well, they graduated from college and look

at the car they're driving and they're super set—and their kids are going to Yale!

And, you know, my kid is in rehab right now."

And, and my faith tells me that God knows the perfect plan for my happiness and it's

going to look different than my neighbor's.
