Hey, everybody, Shaun Hadsall here,
the owner of Get Lean in 12, and stubborn fat expert
for people over 35 years old.
And inside today's short video I wanna
talk about three simple little tweaks
that you can make to your health and fitness plan
to guarantee your fastest fat loss ever for 2017.
But first I want to talk about my number one
rule for fat loss.
And it's based on something called the compound effect.
Now, I've been using that compound effect since 1998,
when I placed first runner up Grand Champion
in the world's largest body transformation
contest, called Body for Life.
And since that time, I've implemented the compound effect
in my life to help over 100,000 people with my products
and services just in the last five years alone.
So Darren Hardy is the founder of Success Magazine.
And he wrote a book called The Compound Effect.
I read the first chapter this morning,
and I knew I wanted to film this video, because it
was a pretty powerful story about two individual gentlemen
that went down two different paths, both thinking that they
were doing something positive in their lives.
The first guy cut out 125 calories per day.
So that's about-- that's not even a serving of nuts.
And the other guy made a commitment
that he was going to start watching this Food Network
and cooking his favorite recipes for his family.
It seems like a good thing to do for the New Year's, cooking
and eating with your family.
And then what they did is they looked
at what happened over a period of 31 months.
I know that's kind of an odd number,
but it's pretty profound what happened.
When we look at the guy who started
cooking his favorite recipes and sharing them with his family,
well, because he was cooking the stuff,
it became part of his lifestyle, and part of his diet.
He obviously gained weight.
Well as he gained weight, he could not sleep as well.
And when he woke up he didn't have the energy he used to.
And so his sex drive went down.
So now this affected every area of his life.
He felt like crap, didn't want to hang out with his kids,
didn't have the sex drive and the focus for his wife.
So she started losing interest.
And then he started struggling at work
because he didn't have focus or energy.
Now, the other guy, on the other hand,
if we look at what happened 31 months later when he just
cut out 125 calories per day, at 31 months if you do the math
is 117,500 calories.
Now, we can divide that by one pound of fat, which
is 3,500 calories, and you can do the math that he
lost 33 and a half pounds.
And this doesn't seem like a lot of weight
for that amount of time.
And it's the new year, so you're probably thinking,
well, I want to lose that much in the next month.
But the reality is that is the power of the compound effect.
It's the small little incremental changes
on a daily basis that you make to your lifestyle that make
all the difference over time.
See, there's no such thing as perfection
when it comes to a health and fitness plan.
We're all going to make mistakes.
I'm going to eat bad sometimes.
You're going to eat bad sometimes.
I'm going to get my work out sometimes.
You're going to give you work out sometimes.
You just have to strive to be consistent, not perfect.
If you screwed up yesterday, who cares?
Wake up today, dust your stuff up.
Get focused.
And start back over again, and strive for consistency, not
perfection.
Because, if we look at what happened to this gentleman who
lost 31 and a half pounds, now, because he lost all
this weight, his energy went through the roof
and he got a promotion at work, because he increased his focus
and productivity.
He had more energy to spend time with his kids.
His libido went up, so his sex life improved with his wife.
So all of these things carried over in every area of his life.
Now, there's three simple things that you
can do to your lifestyle in 2017 to have your fastest fat loss
ever.
The first one is just to drink more water.
The research is pretty amazing about this.
People who drink water before meals lose 44% more weight than
people who don't.
The more water you give your body,
the less it will hold onto.
So if you're feeling bloated from the holidays,
drink more water, because it's going
to help you get rid of your belly bloat.
Every metabolic catalyst that takes place in your body
takes place by the transport of water.
So make sure you're adequately hydrated.
Avoid tap water.
Use a high quality filtered water,
and make you use a glass container.
The second rule is simply avoid processed foods and sugar
five to six days of the week.
This is another obvious trick.
But this is what will help you get
control of your appetite and your energy.
You still have one day a week where you can reward yourself
with moderate amount of sugar and processed foods.
Don't binge your stuff.
But dangle that carrot every week and use it as a reward.
And the third and final one is to move more.
I know this is obvious for the new year.
You need to exercise.
Well, fortunately, it doesn't require that much time.
