An exclusive move for flashy cars - Duration: 4:05.Known around the world for their chic colours,
elegant design and fast engines:
the luxury cars from Binningen.
Now the time has come for Paul Berger to say goodbye to his beloved Monteverdis.
It's like a child leaving home.
But it will live on, and that's important.
If you think how many hours of work,
how much love and passion went into them.
It's a shame that Mr Monteverdi isn't here to see it.
But I think I've found the best possible solution.
The entire collection from the Monteverdi Museum in Binningen is moving to
the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne.
The museum belongs to Paul Berger.
He was the partner of the deceased car manufacturer Peter Monteverdi
and was part of the story when it began in 1967.
Here in Binningen 3,000 Monteverdis were
produced until the 1980s,
and they were sold all over the world.
(Original commentary) The 200th model
was sold to Hong Kong.
Because in this sphere of the automotive industry
only the best is good enough,
the car was shipped by air,
as it were, first class, around the world.
What remained in Switzerland is the Monteverdi Museum,
the world's only complete collection with one of each of the 22 models,
worth millions.
But looking after old cars like these is expensive.
Selling them was never an option for Paul Berger.
He wanted the historic collection to remain intact.
For many years we tried
to reach a solution with the municipality or the canton.
They never listened to us, they always said there was no money.
So I had to take a decision.
The decision
to give the first Formula One car ever produced in Switzerland
or the world-famous Shark 450 SS to the Museum of Transport.
Thanks very much. Good luck, safe journey.
* Horns hooting *
The Monteverdi chapter in Binningen comes to an end,
in Lucerne a new one begins.
From now on, the cars will be looked after by Daniel Geissmann,
Head of Exhibitions at the Museum of Transport.
He knows how to handle this type of valuable freight.
From now on, these cars are actually historic,
and we simply have to take care of them.
Each car is given a new place.
The museum constructed an additional floor especially for them.
And the green spaces are reminiscent of their birthplace in Binningen.
Great.
No errors.
It's a childhood dream.
You always used to have a Monteverdi
as the fastest car in your quartet.
And now they're here, we were involved in the whole project.
It's not only an honour,
it's also the fulfillment of childhood memories.
This is a great and an emotional moment for us
and for me personally.
The mechanics are kept busy,
a new exhibition like this means lots of work.
But the result is something to be proud of,
Paul Berger says today at the opening.
I'm surprised how well they've laid it out.
I can visit my children whenever I like.
And I think they're placed so well here
that you can say I did the right thing.
Thanks to Paul Berger's gift,
his and Peter Monteverdi's life work
will live on here at the museum.
And will be preserved for future generations too.

important is for you to sensitise the team on the importance of customer experience.

MVVMCross and our amazing extension that we created. This extension enables you to develop ...
Xamarin apps with native UI while being able to share as much code as possible.
I think it's a great extension that I worked on with our team and ...
what we really see is that we can use this extension to have the initial project set up much faster than before.
When we started off with Xamarin ...
there's a lot of bootstrap, a lot of work that we need to do to put up our initial project.
Lot of knowledge is being shared with the colleagues ...
but still there's a difference between projects every time.
We want to give everybody in the Xamarin landscape a solid base, a solid ...
architecture to start your new app project with.
To help you save time ...
We created the extension called 'XabluCross for MVVMCross'.
I think it's a really convenient way to start and ...
accelerate your mobile development. I want to show you in this video ...
how you can use this Visual Studio extension to start up your new app project.
Let me take you through it right now.

Also, you can change your app font or the app logo before you continue generating this app.
Press 'Next' to continue through the next option.

La Nîmoise - A specialty store in Nîmes that sells brandade (Subtitles for English!!) - Duration: 6:45.So, Hello I'm Christophe Mouton
I am a brandadier [someone who makes the food brandade] which is a delicacy of our city
I'm the 4th generation of Nîmoise Brandadiers
We wanted to revive an artisanal production with a high-end product
And so with the help of my wife
We launched this venture, particularly 4 years ago
And we are making the product the same way it was made years ago
We wanted to make
all the products diverse in specialty from the same base
Notably the puff pastries, the pies,
Different aromatic brandades according to season
The products made in season
Voila! The story!
You might like to see that our product regularly wins gold and silver medals in competitions
We're very proud
It's very good
Congratulations
What is here for the taste test?
So for the tasting
We have prepared 3 different types of brandade
This brandade is really special and is our most popular
It is a mix of codfish, olive oil, and milk
So here we are! We can try this as simply as possible
Go ahead
That brandade is what we're known for
That's really good
You can have more if you want
Every season we make different types of brandade
Note this one in particular, it is made with asparagus
Do you know what "asperge" is?
I think so, it's long and green?
Yes that's right, that's exactly right
So in this time of the year we make brandade with local asparagus
This gives the brandade a different taste from the last one
You have to try it to see
It's different, it's a bit of a different thing than before
So go ahead and you will see
See it's not the same
And here is the last one
This one is fabricated with a wild plant
Picked in the Nîmoise grasslands
It's very aromatic
and
it's something of the Roman era
so we wanted to make it for this weekend because of the Roman Games [Les Grands Jeux Romains]
so I wanted to make a brandade that reminds us of the Roman era
It's made with the plant I mentioned before
and because of that it's very green
and it's very spicy
This is the last one, and it was made for this weekend
It resembles a bit of guacamole
Yes that's right
we will say (something)
Just the colour
It's not the same as the others
Yes, it's not the same, but all of them are super good
It's a lot of work
It's a lot of work
if you want...
I think that...
it's not necessary...
We don't count the hours
It's something of passion
The passion.
So we can't speak in hours of work
Voila
It's something I do with my wife
we do this non stop
Then after it's a bit
of a life of comfort on the side
It's true we had to give up weekends and vacations
in the construction [of the business]
But the money over time was more and more
At the expense of our comfort
It's really
A life of work
That's just how it is
It's like that how we got here, because of the work
Work and the passion
Was there a moment in starting your business
where the work and the stress were too much for you?
Maybe you thought that you couldn't continue
A moment with too much stress, too much work
No.
No. Never.

People Power - Rajmohan Gandhi - Duration: 4:21.I have not been active in protest
for most of my life, I did protest against
the Iraq War, I was in the United States
at the time, I wrote about it, spoke about it
and took part in some protests
but my life is spent in
efforts, I don't say always
greatly successful, but efforts to
address the root causes of war
by working towards reconciliation,
if possible trying to turn enemies into
friends, addressing hatreds
How to do that is not an easy question but that's been my my
life so far
I've seen too much suffering
too much pain in the world in my own
country
of course I now lived for almost 82 years
I've seen all these remarkable
exhibits here were part of my life and
I observed sympathetically, looked at all
these amazing protests but as I said my
life is largely spent in attempts at
reconciliation
I think they play a
tremendous part, of course we know that
unhappiness with war, frustration with war
has existed for centuries, people have tried
to see how to deal with it but then our
our passions, our angers, our hatreds, our immediate wishes
come in our way, many people who
dislike war in theory, wars in general
become very active participants in their
own wars
I think there is room in the
first building peace for people of all
kinds, of all points of view, those who feel
that they must directly protest war,
they must protest the planting of bombs
or the sites of weapons, the others who feel
that
we must get to know people and we get to
build some friendship if possible, deal
with anger and hatred if possible and so
I think maybe tolerance for all points
of view is an important component of the
fight for peace
I think People Power
it was a great concept it's been there
for some time and has been demonstrated
during the many of the protests against war but
people power must also recognise human
nature that all people have, human nature
has sometimes hatred, desire for revenge
so people power in order to attain its
real glory must also address human
nature
Well as somebody once said
everything I like is illegal or immoral
or fattening that's one part of life the
part of us wants things that makes it
easy for the time being but they also
divide me from others they may make
others restive about you, so human nature
has great potential but human nature has
potential for both things so long as
I am able to reflect honestly about myself
and people I think of as my people if
I do some honest reflection I may
discover that people
like myself are not as broad-minded as I
think and others are not as
narrow-minded as I think
Well this
exhibition is one one of many things so
there is the desire and of course we are
becoming broader minded and as the
humanity we are people there are phases
the current phase is of some kind of
extreme narrow nationalism also anger at
people you think are strangers
But understanding in the world is also
growing, compassion in the world is also
growing so I see many signs of hope
