Boat Log - Leg 7: Day 10 - "Round Cape Horn is a Big Day" - Duration: 1:51.Hannah Diamond: I had no idea actually how tough it was going to be.
On day 4, I had a realization about how hard this ocean crossing was going to be
and since then, the conditions have not let off at all.
It has been so windy.
Waves have been like nothing I have ever ever seen before
and it just has been non stop.
Phil Harmer: Cape Horn is a big day in any sailor's life.
This is the 4th time I am going to around that.
I remember last time with Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing when we went around there,
we had Chuny Bermudez was sailing with us
and he was on the radio to the guy that was in the lighthouse.
Apparently the lighthouse is a voluntary thing and you sign up for a 12 month block.
Pretty cool thing to do, go and live at the bottom of the planet for 12 months with your family.
Simon Fisher: It has definitely been one of the toughest Southern Ocean legs I have ever done.
Just the relentless of it, the constant high winds, the cold,
hail and snow seem to be a fairly common occurance
and it has been tough and steadily wearing us all down.
Hannah: This leg from Auckland to Itajai, or any leg that goes past Cape Horn, is definitely
one of the reasons people want to do this race.
It is so iconic.
So few people have done it so it will be amazing to get there and have that ticked off.
Simon Fisher: People have been doing a great job to push through and battling on.
And I think reaching the Horn will be a good moment for us to celebrate
and also reflect on the leg so far.

Is Trump the Worst President in History? - Duration: 4:17.America has had its share of crooks (Warren G. Harding, Richard Nixon), bigots (Andrew
Jackson, James Buchanan), and incompetents (Andrew Johnson, George W. Bush).
But never before Donald Trump have we had a president who combined all these nefarious
qualities.
America's great good fortune was to begin with the opposite – a superb moral leader.
By June of 1775, when congress appointed George Washington to command the nation's army,
he had already "become a moral rallying post," as his biographer, Douglas Southall
Freeman, described him.
He was,"the embodiment of the purpose, the patience, and the determination necessary
for the triumph of the revolutionary cause."
Washington won the war and then led the fledgling nation "by directness, by deference, and
by manifest dedication to duty."
A president's most fundamental legal and moral responsibility is to uphold and protect
our system of government.
Donald Trump has degraded that system.
When he threatens to loosen federal libel laws so he can sue news organizations that
are critical of him and revoke licenses of networks critical of him, he isn't just
bullying the media.
He's threatening the constitutionally guaranteed freedom and integrity of the press.
When he equated Neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members with counter-demonstrators in Charlottesville,
Virginia, by blaming "both sides" for the violence, he wasn't being neutral.
He was condoning white supremacists, thereby undermining the constitution's guarantee
of equal rights.
When he pardoned Joe Arpaio, the former sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, for a criminal
contempt conviction, he wasn't just signaling it's okay for the police to engage in violations
of civil rights.
He was also subverting the rule of law by impairing the judiciary's power to force
public officials to abide by court decisions.
When he criticized NFL players for kneeling during the national anthem, he wasn't just
demanding they demonstrate their patriotism.
He was disrespecting their – and, indirectly, everyone's – freedom of speech.
When he berates the intelligence agencies and the federal bureau of investigation, he
isn't just questioning their competence.
He's suggesting they're engaged in a giant conspiracy to remove him from office – potentially
inviting his most ardent supporters to engage in a new civil war.
When he boasts that he made up information in a meeting with the prime minister of Canada,
he isn't just undermining his own credibility.
He's undermining the credibility of the united states in the eyes of the world.
Donald Trump is degrading the core institutions and values of our democracy.
But America is fighting back.
In Alabama, voters turned out in droves to elect a Democrat to the senate for the first
time in 25 years.
In Pennsylvania, Republicans lost control of a congressional district that went for
Trump by nearly 20 percentage points.
Since Trump took office, Democrats have flipped 39 Republican-held state legislative seats.
The 2018 midterm elections are approaching.
It's up to all of us to keep up the momentum.
In the face of the worst president in history, we are at our best when striving to strengthen
our democracy.

Emmerdale's Tracy BEHEADS David as cheating truth is finally exposed - Duration: 3:43.Emmerdale's Tracy BEHEADS David as cheating truth is finally exposed
Yesterday, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) found out that David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) slept with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi).
Tracy (Amy Walsh) went round to speak to David and saw Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) in the kitchen, as well as two glasses of wine and some high heels by the door.
She assumed David had been having an affair with Priya – but tonight found out the hard truth.
Her sister Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) brought round a near-nude cardboard cut-out of David to help Tracy take out some of her anger.
She wanted nothing to do with it but eventually ended up tearing its head off in a fit of rage.
Soon enough, David himself walked in and Tracy confronted him about Priya, asking how long it had been going on.
But he told her: Priya? No, Priyas just been living with us for a few days while she finds somewhere to stay, thats what Ive been trying to tell you. Tracy then realised that meant someone else had been the other woman – and it was then that David confessed it was Leyla.
She broke down as she realised shed been duped and lied to and asked for the details, despite her tears.
"Does it make you feel like a man?" Tracy Metcalfe But Tracy had had enough and told David that there was no hope for them, despite initially wanting to get back together after their split.
David had ended things with her after struggling to deal with her prostitute past, though she had a real girl power moment as the episode ended.
She said: Theres always someone else.
Some ex needing your help.
You love to be needed – Leyla, Priya.
Does it make you feel like a man? You did it because you wanted to.
In that moment, you wanted to sleep with her and I stupidly thought when we ended that there might be a way back.
You know, the worst thing in all of this is that you let me think that I was the one who was dirty, that I somehow wasnt good enough, that I had something to be ashamed of, that I wasnt worthy of you.
David, you were never worthy of me. Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.

Book Promo: What Is Political Islam? by Jocelyne Cesari - Duration: 6:07.Political Islam refers to multiple realities. There is one big thread of
scholarship on Islamic political parties. How they emerge; how they negotiate
during elections, if there are elections. The other one is more recent and it's to
do with radical or political violence at the international level through groups
like Al-Qaeda or ISIS now. This is a kind of vast array of topics that are covered
today by political Islam with the ongoing questions of:
It is really Islam? Is it only politics? Scholars of Islam tend to take the
question seriously and look at the Islamic tradition in a sort of
continuity, from medieval time until now, to explain how much or how little of ISIS is
actually Islamic. And the group of political scientists tend to dismiss
the question altogether saying that they have nothing Islamic in ISIS because
it's all about political power and control of populations.
The book looks at the genealogy, historical evolution of what is
political Islam. And the main point made is that we have to consider the creation
of the nation-state in Muslim countries as the starting point of discussion about
being a member of a political community and being a member of Islamic
tradition. The ummah today will be defined or is defined as a community of all
Muslim believers, while in history until the end of the Ottoman Empire
it was referring to the totality of territories under the control of the
Caliph. But it meant that if I was Greek Orthodox in Istanbul, I was part of the
ummah. So this kind of diversity, plurality was challenged by the concept
of nation. And that's what you see emerging at the end of the nineteenth century,
at the time of the decline of the Ottoman Empire. A whole kind of question:
What is to be Muslim? What is to be Ottoman? Can I be Christian and Ottoman?
You have all these questions coming up that didn't happen before. I think this
is something that has been lost in any discussion we're having on political
Islam because we assume that the National unit is natural. It was not
natural. It meant that once the elite and the Ottoman Empire got in contact with
European political powers, they start discussing the legitimacy, the validity
of nations. Where scholars start saying, "We don't want a nation based on
ethnicity or language. We want a nation based on religious link." So, this is where
political Islam starts actually. And usually, we tend to look at Islam as
a sort of reaction against the secular state. That's not how it happened.
My point is to say that you cannot deny the Islamic dimension of of ISIS, but you
cannot either say that by looking at medieval discussion on Sharia you're
going to understand what ISIS wants. There is an intellectual history of the concepts
that are now used, not only by Islamists, but also secular actors in Muslim country.
The terms Shia, ummah, jihad and mid nineteenth century, you see religious authorities
starting to invest terms in a different way in the sense that they are looking
at ummah as a political community based only on the Islamic link. But
interestingly the secular are also doing the same. And this is where you see
emerging also a connection that didn't happen before, between being member of a
nation and being member of Islamic tradition. Turkey is a case in point. At
the end of the Ottoman Empire, Kemal Atatürk, with the agreement of the
international community, defined a space that he called Turkey with Turkish as
the language and Islam as the religion. This is what the nation does. The nation
was a homogenization process that was used by secular elite, including Islam, creating
a monist form of Islam that didn't exist before. And this is what I call political
Islam. For the political aspect, I would I would say let's stop saying that Islam
needs reform. Because political Islam, as I show in the book, comes from the reform
actually. Muslim countries have encountered modernity. So, when I hear now
Islam needs reform, actually the reform did happen. It didn't produce the results
we would like it to have, but it was there.

Angelina Jolie Kids "DISAPPOINTED She's Dating Again" Is Made-Up Story - Duration: 7:00.Angelina Jolie Kids "DISAPPOINTED She's Dating Again" Is Made-Up Story
A story claiming Angelina Jolie's kids are "disappointed she's dating again" was made-up.
Not only was this purported "exclusive" manufactured, but it's also untrue.
FASHION CHANEL can debunk it.
HollywoodLife is boasting it has "exclusive details" on how Jolie's children with Brad Pitt are "heartbroken that she's moved on to dating a new man and won't be reconciling with their dad."
Second, the site's story is supposedly based on a "source close to the actress." If the blog really had a "source," it would know that Jolie is not dating anyone, much less a real estate agent.
But there's clear signs this was all concocted out of thin air, particularly when the site asserts Jolie is "reportedly quietly seeing a handsome older realtor."
First off, that contention has already been debunked.
It would not be repeating another outlet's wrong claim with "reportedly" and then embellishing it further.
Still, let's take a closer look at the specific allegations.
"Angelina's kids are disappointed now that [their] mom is dating again," the aforementioned "'source" is quoted as saying.
A few sentences later, this almost assuredly fictional insider switches to "Angie" to claim, "Angie hasn't introduced the kids to anyone new yet… When she dates, Angie tells the kids she is going out for work dinners." How, then, do the children know she's supposedly dating?.
It's vaguely suggested that the "older ones know what is really going on," but never explained how exactly, making it all the more confusing when the seemingly invented tipster goes on to assert that Jolie "still wants to keep the truth from them as much as she can.
" It's also strange that the online publication maintains she "doesn't want any of them spilling the beans to her ex Brad that she's got someone new in her life.
" As highlighted here, the website seems to be going back and forth on whether the children actually know she's allegedly dating or not, while simultaneously insisting they're "disappointed" and "heartbroken.
Aside from the wishy-washiness being enough to make your head spin, the bottom line remains the same: HollywoodLies, as it is nicknamed, is claiming to know how the kids are reacting to Jolie dating a realtor, even though the site itself wasn't able to confirm that she is in fact dating and couched the assertion with "reportedly."
More importantly, the allegation upon which this reaction story is based is entirely false.
Jolie is not dating a real estate agent or anyone else.
Jolie hasn't even been interested in dating since her split from Pitt, as People reported in January, and her stance hasn't changed in the time since then.
As other outlets have also confirmed, Jolie has opted to remain single.
Obviously, any "source" genuinely "close" to her would know that, which is why it is entirely illogical to claim that such a person is talking about a relationship that doesn't exist.
It is also implausible to allege the children are reacting to a romance that doesn't exist.
Lastly, FASHION CHANEL must add that we've repeatedly been told that both Jolie and Pitt strive to keep personal matters involving their children private.
As such, no one in their inner circles would actually dish to the gossip media about the kids' feelings.
It's shameful HollywoodLies is pretending otherwise.

Roberto Firmino is more important than Mohamed Salah, claims Liverpool legend - Duration: 4:23.Roberto Firmino is more important than Mohamed Salah, claims Liverpool legend
Roberto Firmino is Liverpools most influential player despite the incredible feats of Mohamed Salah, according to Ian Rush.
The Reds attacking play has been phenomenal this season, with the forward trio of Sadio Mane, Salah and Firmino destroying opponents on a weekly basis.
The triumvirate have scored 73 goals between them in all competitions and, in Salah, they have somebody receiving accolades left, right and centre for a stunning debut season at Anfield.
It is Firmino, though, who Rush feels is most key to how Jurgen Klopps side functions—with Liverpools all-time leading goalscorer lauding the Brazilians overall brilliance as a footballer.
Everyone knows how amazing Mohamed Salah is but if youre looking at one player Liverpool rely on its Bobby Firmino, Rush told Sky Sports News.
With his closing down he reminds me a little bit of myself.
Not only does he work hard for the team, hes also very skilful—he does everything.
He may not be regularly getting 30 goals a season but he makes the opposition make mistakes.
He is a rare breed of a Brazilian and I think his talents suit the Premier League down to a T.
He is tireless, every manager would love a player like that in his team.
We are very, very lucky that we have him in our side..
Thats not say that Salah hasnt impressed Rush greatly as well, though, and the 25-year-old needs 12 more goals to break the legendary former strikers record goal tally of 47 in a season for Liverpool.
Rush says the Egyptian is reaching Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo levels of magic this season, and he has compared him to some special Reds of the past.
You can look at Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez and he (Salah) is up there with any Liverpool forward to have come in [during the Premier League era], he added.
Hes been absolutely amazing but the thing with Salah is that he is so down-to-earth as well.
The game against Watford was the best I have ever seen him play, he was untouchable—not just because of his four goals but also because he wasnt selfish and was trying to make goals for his team-mates.
There are only two players I have seen that can play at that level, and thats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Firmino vs.
Salah debate is a fascinating one, and Rushs stance is spot-on when it comes to assessing the pair.
Firmino is Liverpools most influential player in terms of everything he does on and off the ball, but Salah is the best player, bringing that sprinkling of stardust and striking more fear into the opposition than anyone else.
To have both playing in the same side is something to treasure—Mane isnt too shabby either—and their form and fitness holds the key to Klopps men going even further in this seasons Champions League.

Tyga Addresses Rumors That He Is The Father Of Kylie Jenner's Daughter Stormi Webster - Duration: 4:05.Tyga Addresses Rumors That He Is The Father Of Kylie Jenner's Daughter Stormi Webster
DNA test not needed, Tyga is not going to pull a Kirk Frost, he has decided to address the rumors that he is the father of Kylie Jenner's baby girl.
Since news broke in the fall of 2017 that Miss Jenner was pregnant with her first child, the Internet has been running with the rumors that Travis Scott was not the father.
Fans were certain that Jenner was carrying Tyga's baby because of the fact she fell pregnant about one month after splitting from her ex.
When Jenner unveiled the first pictures of baby Stormi Webster, social media went wild because she apparently looks a bit Asian — and Tyga is half-Vietnamese, half-Jamaican.
Via social media, Tyga decided to put the paternity test rumors to rest.
He wrote: "I've never said anything about someone else's child or family insinuating my involvement; and will never do so.
Please, Stop spreading false stories and attacking people's families.
I have nothing to do with any of that.
People should be able to live in peace.".
Fans are going after Tyga because they believe he has been playing with the idea that Stormi is his child.
One supporter said: "But when everyone said Kylie was pregnant, he went out his way to snap "that's my kid" boy bye…Kris probably had a gun to his head while he typed that or Kris sent him that pay off lol.
Another commenter stated: "Travis and Kylie are taking care of the baby together, and Tyga says it ain't his.
All three of them are straight, so why y'all bent out of shape about it?Even Stevie Wonder can see he ain't the father, attention sicker.
He definitely is NOT the dad.".
A third person shared: "When it was first said, she was pregnant a fake snap was made saying he was then he immediately said he wasn't and apologized.
Stormi is light still, and people don't think Travis could be the dad because of her skin color and how she looks.
I might not like the Kardashian/Jenner clan, but this ish wasn't necessary, wanted nor needed.".
However, a source claimed that Tyga had other plans and added: "Tyga is complaining that Kylie [Jenner] has been avoiding him since she had the baby, and he is convinced it is because she is afraid of the DNA test he wants to get.
He is sure that she is afraid of getting it done.
Tyga thinks that she is scared it will prove something she does not want to know.".
Do you think the drama is over?.
