With Australia's cricket team in meltdown, England fans are turning their attentions to the next Ashes series in the hope of regaining the famous urn.
The ball-tampering scandal that has embroiled the Aussie team has already seen captain Steve Smith, vice-captain David Warner and Cameron Bancroft banned from the international side.
Coach Darren Lehmann is also being hit by the controversy as he is stepping down from his role after the forthcoming fourth test with South Africa.
Lehmann looks unlikely to return to the international fold, but the Ashes is far enough down the line that the trio of banned players could all return in time for the next trip to the UK.
Smith and Warner have both been made unavailable for selection for 12 months, whilst Bancroft is out for nine for his role in the cheating.
When is the next Ashes series?.
The next England vs Australia test series will be played from July-September 2019 in England.
Joe Root and his side will also host Pakistan that summer in limited overs matches, and take on Zimbabwe in one test match.
What are the venues for the Ashes tests?
The five matches will be played at Edgbaston, Headingley, Lord's, Old Trafford and The Oval.
The same five stadiums will also host matches in the 2023 Ashes series, meaning the likes of Hampshire's Ageas Bowl and Nottingham's Trent Bridge will miss out on both.
England finally conclude their epic stay in the Southern Hemisphere when they complete the test series with New Zealand in the coming days.
The second and final test begins on Thursday, 29 March at 11pm UK time, so will come to a close on Monday if it goes the distance.
