ENOCH: THE

STORY

OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL FALLEN ANGELS

Angels make frequent appearances in the holy scriptures and continue to play an active

role in the popular imagination.

While many people believe that these beings are either symbolic or supernatural figures,

others believe that angels could be extra-terrestrials.

The Book of Enoch gives an intriguing view on this controversial position.

While most people associated angels with the Christian faith, they are actually a mainstay

of many ancient cultural traditions.

Many of the earliest known civilizations in the Near East, including the ancient Sumerians,

the Babylonians, and the Egyptians had their own narratives surrounding angelic beings.

These beings tended to manifest themselves as beings with wings which served as the agents

of higher gods.

The higher gods utilized the angels as messengers and watchers who would visit the Earthly dimension

at their behest.

One of the most explicit descriptions of angels serving in this capacity comes from the Book

of Enoch in the Old Testament.

The Book of Enoch describes a vast number of angels settling on the planet Earth who

set out to teach Enoch various disciplines.

These include meteorology, astronomy, and metalwork.

This is a fairly unusual story, and it appears to chime with a theory known as the Ancient

Astronaut theory.

Many people believe that the ancients were lent a helping hand in the progression of

human civilization on account of the fact that a number of ancient monuments and texts

display extraordinary sophistication which is completely unexplained by the cultural

and social circumstances of historical record.

Could the Book of Enoch be confirmation of this controversial theory?

The Book of Enoch also describes fallen angels arriving on Mount Hermon with the

intention of living on Earth and assuming power over the planet.

These angels are said to have eventually integrated into human society and even interbreeding

with human beings to create human-angel hybrids.

It was this action that incited the wrath of God.

For many people, this seems to indicate that human beings were unwittingly placed in the

center of a power struggle between two distinct alien breeds the masterful creator gods

and their former servants who sought to take their own path with regards to the planet

Earth.

If this is the case, then it should be of some concern to human beings currently living

on this planet.

Both the Old and the New Testament make frequent references to a battle which is to come between

opposing forces of good and evil.

Could it be the case that this battle will involve an almighty struggle between two separate

species of powerful alien beings?

Who is Trey Gowdy backing in SC Congress runoff? - Duration: 5:18.

U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy isn't waiting for the results of the runoff race in South Carolina's

5th District race.

The congressman from the neighboring 4th District has endorsed S.C.

Speaker Pro Tempore Tommy Pope for the GOP nomination in the special election for Congress.

Pope faces former legislator Ralph Norman in the May 16 runoff.

In his endorsement, Gowdy recalled working with Pope when both men were prosecutors.

"Fifteen years ago I was a brand new prosecutor in the Upstate of South Carolina trying to

work with law enforcement, help victims get justice and preserve public safety," Gowdy

said.

"But I needed help.

Lots of it.

And another prosecutor from the Upstate of South Carolina – named Tommy Pope – gave

and lent me counsel, advice, support, and the full weight of his own experience in law

enforcement and prosecution."

"I need his help again, this time in the U.S. House of Representatives," he said.

On Tuesday, Pope and Norman were neck-and-neck atop the seven-person Republican primary.

Less than 200 votes and 0.3 percentage points separated Pope and Norman in the first round.

Because neither won more than 50 percent of the vote, they have to face each other one-on-one

to decide the nominee.

Responding to the endorsement, Norman tried to draw a distinction between Gowdy's career

after leaving the prosecutor's office and Pope's.

"Gowdy has spent his career fighting for conservative causes," Norman said, "but

Pope has spent his time suing small businesses in our community."

"Gowdy has an 'A' lifetime average from the Club for Growth for his commitment to

limited government and fiscal responsibility," said R.J.

May III, Norman's communications director.

"Pope has an 'F' for his insatiable appetite for wastefully spending and raising

taxes."

Pope's campaign reiterated Gowdy's personal judgment of the York Republican's abilities

as a potential congressman.

"Trey Gowdy has known Tommy his entire career," said Pope spokesman Jon Kohan.

"He's seen his ability to get things done first hand and knows that he will be a force

for conservative change in Washington.

That's why he endorsed Tommy Pope."

Thank you listen! please subscribe to check news.

Please turn on subtitle if you can't hear voice clearly.

I'm Joey.

In The Field: Dialogues on the Experience of War - Duration: 13:03.

Since we are in San Bernardino a lot of people

find military to be the escape from San Bernardino.

There's really nothing to do here...

The biggest thing to know about San Bernardino and the campuses

where our particular NEH grant conversations are taking place

is that they are largely commuter based

which means people are coming from all over

with a diverse and multitudinous amount of experiences

... educational backgrounds and economic backgrounds

So my name is Dr. Rachel Keener and I am a psychologist

here at Cal State University in San Bernardino

in the counseling center, and I run a

support group for veterans on campus.

It's been going since 2009 and it's just

been a wonderful place for veterans to come and process

experiences they had in the war zone and also

what is has been like for them to adjust to being back in the civilian world.

And so, my role this summer with the grant

was to teach the discussion leaders what they can expect

in working with the veterans. And also to be aware

of the psychological and emotional needs that the veterans experience

and the stressors that they experience as they readjust

to being back in civilian life.

Understanding what veterans do and what they word truly means

has just been an eye-opener for me

Both as part of this area and seeing the number of people that we have here

from all across the globe who have been a part of the military and consider themselves veterans.

It's been an amazing experience.

In the discussions it has been very, but overwhelmingly positive

they are so glad and so excited for this opportunity

to be approached not only people they would probably never interact with

or never think to interact with, but to get to talk about

these types of things it is such a way that is completely new to them

and it's all very exciting. They've all been very open

very emotional both, not necessarily in negative, but positive ways

and it has just been overwhelming positive.

And so while these discussion groups are not therapy groups

in a sense they kind of are because they are

hitting on so many different themes that do come up in therapy groups.

it's just a safer context for people to talk about it

because it is not necessarily their own story.

You know the first day, the first day of training

was introductions and backgrounds

and some of them have family members

that were, that you know served in the military

and I think that there was only one that

had, didn't know anyone that had served

so, but, during the course of training I had seen

that whenever I gave substance to the text that we were reading

like, I could see like almost light bulbs clicking

like "Oh, okay I get this"

and because I used some of my own stories from my service

to say well, this is what happened and you know this is, I think in line with this

this part of the text. And, and...

they were very understanding and they... I was actually very happy

becuase it seemed like they were ready to engage, they were ready

to just take everything and run with it.

Before I can get them to talk to themselves

or about themselves, they probably need a model to follow

in one fashion or another.

And so it is important to bring in a variety of different texts

From a variety of different perspectives

to have, make sure these individuals recognize that

within the humanities, they are in some fashion being represented.

I didn't serve, but when this project came up,

when you cam up with this project, it was something that I wanted to do

because I had seen the pain in so many of my family members.

It's something that, as a soldier, they were never told that

this is something that is relatable for you.

This is something for the academics. This is something for the students.

This is something that smart people are supposed to be looking at.

You're a soldier, that is not your job. Your job is to do what you're told.

And that is a part of who they are still.

And to have this opened up to them by someone who is an academic

someone who they look at and they say,

"that's a student, that's not a soldier"

I think that has worked so well because we have not been leaders we have been facilitators.

We have made it clear, we are here to help you talk about this

we are here to make this accessible to you

on your terms. And I think there has been a resounding response to that.

Many of the participants, I think really get the understanding that

they are not necessarily, not alone on campus

but again, the understanding that these kinds of problems stretch back

as far as we have literature, it goes back to Achilles,

it goes back, you know, thousands of years. And you have soldiers

who deal with the same kinds of things and these are the soldiers that struggle

these are the soldiers that also triumph over these things as well

so it give a sense of cohesion, and I think that

any soldier understands that it is much better to suffer with somebody

then to suffer alone. It does not seem so much as suffering if you have

you have people to lean on one another.

I do have a, you know, small background in drama

from my high school years. So I was a little familiar with some of those Greek tragedies

and, I am actually very fond of the Greek tragedy genre.

In a way, if you just go up to somebody and say,

"you don't feel right because you have had this trauma"

that's not as effective. You have to be able to

give them some distance. That's the aesthetic distance that allows them for self reflection.

I mean, that's what theater is.

When we introduce them to these texts that dealt with

the story Achilles, that dealt with the story of Heracles, and Philoctetes

and the things they saw, the way they connected it

with some of the things they were talking about, just we would have never seen.

We became enlightened rather then them becoming enlightened.

And it worked so well, it was really phenomenal to see

the things they had to talk about, the connections they had to make

both to their time in their service and who they are presently.

And the connections they formed and how they are still so much a part of who they are.

And they refuse to give that up or ignore it

that they are proud of what they did, they are proud of who they are

And while the loss is still there, even that holds some really significant importance to them

even now some 30-40 years out of their service.

I can read Plato, I can read the Phaedo which is the death of Socrates.

and I can get a tear in my eye because the humanity that they are able to put into this

you know, rather archane literature.

I think it, the catharsis actually comes from

like a combination of connecting with other people in the room

people who have had the same experiences, people who haven't had those experiences

I mean, just like platforms for these ideals, or not ideals,

but like platforms for these ideas

are... I think what is most important.

It may be connecting to the literature, I always think like

having something external from yourself allows you to look at things

than normally you would probably try to shut down.

Just knowing that they had a similar experience during a similar time period

is just, it is so beneficial. It's like what Karl Marlantes says,

in his book he says a lot of the vets from World War II,

all, they had a long time, a long boat ride coming home

so they are able to tell their stories to each other and heal in a way.

But now they just put them on a plane, we are back home after an eight hour flight

and you are not with your brothers anymore.

So it's almost a way to find new brothers and sisters in dealing with war, in dealing with their experiences.

We have women, we have men that come to these discussions

we also have combat vets who have been in very serious combat

who have spilled blood themselves. And we have other vets

who haven't necessarily done the same kinds of things

But there are common threats that all of these soldiers have

and in these discussions we can discuss these common threats and

it's always about bringing people together and never separating them

because I think one of the most important things about

holding onto pieces of the military is that that I honestly, think is very essential

that you are part of a team and as you move forward

that you not necessarily, not that you shouldn't think of yourself

but anything that you struggle with, you're struggling with as a team.

And I think it's also overall changed my views

on, kind of the popular dialogues of war that happen

in our society, looking more critically at how they are portrayed

and how that may not be accurate in the experiences

that go along between soldiers and how those are kind of effected

and recreated even in pop culture places that are inaccurate

or accurate in particular ways, so it has really helped me think critically

about our soldiers and our veterans and what they go through.

Just the fact that it is branching out beyond our own like

tight-knit sort of ideals to other things that might challenge ourselves

or challenge our perceptions of how we view this.

Because if you are only learning about these sort of experiences through, like the literature

then you are not really learning because you are just like seeing this one perspective

but if you can get somebody else's perspective on it, that is how like you really create knowledge

So like having read the Iliad before, I have a new understanding of the Iliad through this.

Well, I think one thing the humanities does is that, I mean, it provides

enormous latitude for a variety of different experiences in the world today.

I think that is probably the most important thing.

And a way it, I would not call it exactly a safe space,

but it you, you don't necessarily need to share

the opinion or perspective of those individuals to carefully read them

And think about them and see what parts that apply to your own lives

what parts don't. What parts can make you understand things a little better.

I believe this can be a powerful format for veterans to come together

to make connections where they have been, where they felt disconnected

and to begin to talk about their stories again, begin to think about their stories again.

It is hard to make sense sometimes, of the things that happen to us

and, of the experiences that we have, it's easier when they are distanced from us

in a way that is reflective. Because we have the ability to reflect on them.

And to understand those actions... from someplace other than our first experience

...In my opinion.

This program has been a beacon of light in the city

It's a support system, even if we help one person.

that one person was worth it.

I have definitely seen veterans talk after the meetings

about different things that help them, and also

possibilities for the future, I guess is what I am saying

you have, in the same way that you have a battle buddy and you have to risk your life

with these people. You have, I have heard conversations

"Man, when it gets like that, come talk to me. Here's a veteran's center, here's where we are"

you know, I mean there are lots of things we can do together

to overcome these kinds of these because, and again I said before

it's, I think inherent in most vets, they learn to take care of themselves.

And they learn to be a different kind of unit outside of the military.

And I think conversations like this can definitely help.

Bridging the GAP on Gambling (ep.1) - An introduction is in order - Duration: 8:09.

Hey everyone how's it going?

I Thought we'd step outside for a little bit.

My name is Dan, this is bridging the gap on gambling.

Thank you all for joining us.

This is our maiden episode.

I didn't think that an office was really the best

place, so I thought we'd come out here to

one of Regina's nice little parks and

have a decent backdrop.

Though, I probably got some seriously squinty eye going on right now.

Great to meet all of you!

This is kind of the introduction, the

maiden introduction to our new channel

here at GAP. GAP is The Gambling

Awareness Program. We're actually run out

of CMHA which is Canadian Mental Health Association.

You guys might have seen

some of our postings for mental health

week, which was just last week.

We are actually entering responsible gambling

week, and kind of the the kickoff for our

our introduction to the channel.

So as far as this channel goes the main goal

is, we want to try and give you guys a

little bit more of a broad understanding of,

really the whole topic of gambling.

What it includes, what to maybe make yourself

aware of, and just how to better be

prepared for the realities that are out there.

Serious financial troubles that

can come up, family issues that can come up,

addiction issues that can come up.

Bridging the GAP on gambling is kind of

our new way of just trying to talk

about a lot of subjects that are kind of

covered out in the news that maybe don't

come with enough context. So it's our

hope that you know maybe this is a

little bit more of an entertaining

interesting way to absorb some of that content.

We're actually still out at this park...

Kinda nice they have fire pits here, who'da guessed?

So, I just wanted to explain a little bit

more on the whole idea behind this

channel for the most part. Our whole goal

is to kind of provide you guys with as

much information on the world of

gambling as we really can. That includes

a lot of different topics, and it's a

pretty varied variety of things that we

can actually discuss. Everything from

some of the more complex math behind why

certain games and the casino just aren't

viable options for making money. To the

psychology that kind of plays behind a

lot of others more skilled based games.

Too, well, just what you do on this,

your phone. I mean all of it kind of touches

on the same topics and we're going to

try and explore those and get a little

bit more clarity out there then maybe I

can do in just a Facebook post. Which is

really how we've kind of communicated up

to this point so, it's exciting to be

able to come online and get in front of

guys and actually you know have a

conversation. So I really hope that as

this channel kind of evolves you'll be

interested in sending me some of the

topics that you'd want to hear about.

I mean I would love to research them,

I would love to look into what you guys

actually wonder and think and want to

discuss about gambling.

It is actually a really nice spot in here and

you know one thing that I always think

about when it kind of comes to, trying to

make better habits even for myself is

just getting out and enjoying nature a

little bit more.

It's surprisingly beneficial, it always

feels great. So yeah, hence, we're out here,

in nature, doing things!

So, this week is actually a responsible

gambling week and GAP's big push for

trying to get information out there this

year is really a focus on the Mobile

Crisis Line, located right here in Regina.

We're going to be speaking with a few

different staff members the work of the

Mobile Crisis Line and we kind of want

to give you a little bit better of an

idea about why we try and promote

The Problem Gambling Helpline, some of the

services that they offer, and I want to

just kind of show you guys that it's a

regular everyday people that actually

just really care about the people who

call in. Which can sometimes be a little

bit terrifying. I know personally when I

think about calling a call center, you

don't necessarily think that those are

local places, but, no it's all based here

in Saskatchewan. The Mobile Crisis Unit

actually goes out into Regina to do

calls, and they're just a great group of

people. It was really awesome being able

to sit down and chat with them and kind

of learn more about what it is exactly

that they do.

It was actually at that point I realized,

I didn't record an outro for this video.

So, we're here in my office, so I just

want to take a brief second to say you

know I hope you guys really like the

videos that are coming in the next

couple days here. I had a lot of fun

making them it was great talking with

all the people down at Mobile Crisis.

The Problem Gambling Helpline is definitely

an awesome resource for anyone that

wants to check it out I highly recommend it.

Their website's great, we're gonna have links in

the description for the site as well as

the Helpline Number. GAP, The Gambling

Awareness Program, and some of our

coordinators are going to actually be

out for a responsible gambling week at a

couple of the casinos out in

Saskatchewan. So I'm going to have links

in the description of this video and

some posts on Facebook as well, so if you

haven't liked or followed this

particular channel make sure you click

10 Most Famous Legendary Warriors of All Time - Duration: 9:49.

10 Most Famous Legendary Warrior of All Time 10.

Maori Warriors.

Having a reputation for eating their enemies in order to capture their "Mana", that

is their respect.

The Maori are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand.

They were believed to have settled into New Real Maori Warrior Chief Wielding a Mere in

New Zealand around 1280 AD.

War was common between tribes, generally over land conflicts or to gain or restore spiritual

power and prestige.

The Maori people believed that combat was sacred to their ancestors and they fought

to acquire mana spiritual power and prestige.

Cannibalism was fueled by the desire to gain the mana of a foe defeated in battle.

Unlike most native cultures, the Maori were never conquered.

They were fierce warriors who would engage in a Peruperu, or war dance, prior to attacking

their enemies in order to intimidate them and even give them a preview of the ensuing

slaughter.

9.

Knights.

Knights were great warriors clad in full body armor on horseback.

Honor was the cornerstone concept for knights of the medieval era.

The code of the knights was to: "Protect the weak, defenseless, helpless, and fight

for the general welfare of all."

They were the richest, most trained warriors, and had the armor, weapons, and horses to

get the job done.

They fought in massive suits of armor, usually weighing 40-60 pounds, although some plate

armor is estimated to have weighed more than 100 pounds!

An armored knight on armored horse would have been like a tank on the battlefield.

They were among the toughest soldiers in history to kill because of their armor.

They were the perfect example of a warriors and gentleman.

8.

Roman Legion.

Of all the greatest ancient warriors – the Romans were perhaps the most pragmatic.

The Roman military took whatever worked and gradually made it into their own.

A Roman legion normally indicates the basic ancient Roman army unit recruited specifically

from Roman citizens.

The organization of legions varied greatly over time but they were typically composed

of up to 5,400 soldiers.

They were the backbone of the Roman army that led to an empire that was unrivaled in terms

of size and power.

They were usually heavy infantry with armor and a shield modeled after the ancient Greeks.

They were masters of the sword and spear combination going along with a shield.

They were made up of the wealthiest soldiers that could afford to make the best weapons

and armor.

Because of the enormous military successes of the Roman Empire, they has long been regarded

as the prime ancient model for military efficiency and ability.

7.

Mongol Warriors.

"The Mongols have a mission: to conquer everything; dominate everything in our path;

destroy everything in our path."

– Jason Ngyuen, Mongol expert.

The Mongol, the vicious Asian horse warriors who used brute savagery to conquer more territory

in the 13th century then any other empire in history.

They dominated Europe and Asia and were most famous for riding on horseback lead by one

of the greatest military commanders in history, Genghis Kahn.

They were highly disciplined and masters with using the bow and arrow on horse back.

They armoury comprised of a variety of bows for reaching a multitude of targets with special

'howling' arrows used to disorientate the enemy and cause panic.

6.

Apache Warriors.

The Apachean tribes were historically very strong and strategic, opposing the Spanish

and Mexican people for centuries.

Their warriors were like the ninjas of America.

They are still legendary for their fierceness, relentlessness, and the hardship of their

upbringing.

Young Apache warriors were tested almost to the point of destruction.

Boys were often trained to go without sleep, to sit for long periods of time without moving

or making a sound.

They would sneak up behind you and slit your throat without you even knowing.

They used primitive weapons made mostly of wood and bone.

They were also the greatest knife fighters the world has ever seen and were pretty good

with the tomahawk and throwing ax.

They terrorized the southwest United States and even the military had trouble beating

them.

5.

Ninja Warriors.

The ninja emerged as mercenaries in the 15th century, where they were recruited as spies,

raiders, arsonists and even terrorists.

The ninja was stealth soldiers and mercenaries hired mostly by daimyos.

Their primary roles were those of espionage and sabotage, although assassinations were

also attributed to ninja.

They are known for using a Kanata like sword, blowgun, ninja stars, and kusarigama which

would be my weapon of choice.

They are known for being stealthy shadow warriors of the night.

They greatly feared for their ability to kill and just disappear.

They were also great martial artists and underwent rigorous training.

4.

Samurai Warriors.

Samurai (or bushi) were the military nobility of medieval and early-modern Japan and the

masters of the katana.

They led their lives according to the code of Bushido, meaning "way of the warrior".

They were heavily armed soldiers covered in armor and willing to die for their masters.

They wielded the sharpest sword the world has ever seen and it could easily slice a

man in two.

Their skills with this sword are unmatched.

They were also masters of the bow and were some of the best shots of the ancient world.

They meditated upon their death, and the wisdom that they were already dead, in order to throw

themselves into battle without fear.

They were like professional soldiers and were harshly trained and fought knowing their honor

was on the line.

Due to their violent habits, peasants soon rose up against them and the ninja was born.

They turned their warrior culture into an art and almost to the edge of enlightenment,

this path peaking with writings like the Hagakure and The Book of Five Rings.

3.

Viking Warriors.

The Vikings – the terror of Europe.

Viking warrior were highly feared across Europe for their brutal attacks and unorthodox for

the time weapon of choice, the battle-axe.

Well know for their close quarter fighting style and berserker's.

Most Vikings warriors were modestly armoured with only the king's guard usually having

chain mail.

They were big and mean and used their axes, swords, and spears expertly in the conquering

of cities.

Even their religion was about war and they believed when you died in battle you fought

once again in a never-ending battle.

They were all you would want in a soldier and proved it on the battlefield by destroying

all in their paths.

The Viking fighting style was based on rapid attacks, go in and attack, get the goods,

and then get out before any more backup could arrive.

With their home-made clothing and weapons they would rely on their quick and ferocious

attack style to ensure success.

This all added up to make it easy to see why the Vikings had a fearsome reputation within

Europe.

2.

The Mamluks Warriors.

The Mamluks ruled Egypt and Syria from 1250 until 1517.

They were slave soldiers who converted to Islam and served the Muslim caliphs and the

Ayyubid sultans during the Middle Ages.

Over time, they became a powerful military caste who overthrew their masters, defeated

the Mongols and the Crusaders and established a dynasty that lasted three hundred years.

After mamluks had converted to Islam, many were trained as cavalry soldiers.

Mamluks had to follow the dictates of furusiyya, a code that included values such as courage

and generosity, and also cavalry tactics, horsemanship, archery and treatment of wounds,

etc.

Mamluk's life prepared him for little else but war and loyalty to his lord.

1.

Spartans Warriors.

The Spartan city-state was without question one of the greatest warrior cultures in human

history.

It reached the height of its power after defeating rival city-state Athens in the Peloponnesian

War (from 431 to 404 B.C.).

Spartan culture was centered on loyalty to the state and military service.

At age 7, Spartan boys entered a rigorous state-sponsored education, military training

and socialization program.

Their culture was all about war and training men for war their entire lives.

They had a saying: "come back with the shield or on top of it" which means don't come

back unless you are victorious.

They were some of the toughest soldiers the world had ever seen. They were masters of the

shield and spear combination.

Any weakness was intolerable to the Spartans.

Their warriors were feared and marveled at among all the Greek city-states of the time,

including the Spartan women.

Dealing with Brain Fog, Lack of Energy, and other Adrenal Fatigue Symptoms after 40! - Duration: 11:21.

Do you know how stress is really

affecting your life and your body?

Well stay tuned and find out if you may

be suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Thanks again for tuning in to 2nd Act TV

we're here in our studio and Paige

Valdiserri is back joining us again

Paige I'm so glad you're here stayed

over ... here again yeah we can't get you to leave can we

we're laughing because we we've

had some great bonding time and had a

conversation yesterday that actually

prompted our discussion today I'm you

know, was kind of describing how it's

gosh I'm just I can't think right now

we're trying to prepare for an interview

my brain fog you know lots of stuff

which I've been attributing to menopause

and you said to me you know have you

ever had your adrenal glands checked and,

no!

So tell us, what is what are the adrenal glands

what do they do and what is adrenal

fatigue? so we'll start out slow with

what are Adrenal Glands...

our adrenals sit on our kidneys and

they're about the shape of a walnut and

they weigh less than a grape so you

wouldn't think that something that

small and that weighs that least could

be that powerful but what people don't

realize is how important the adrenals

are to everyday life now I have to say

that I'm not a medical doctor but

through my personal experience my

experience with my patients and clients

working with integrative doctors and

being a caregiver for my husband I've

learned so much about this and I can

tell you that Dr. James Wilson was I

think the first person who really came

out and did a lot of research about

adrenal fatigue so these small glands

that sit on top of our kidneys function

our stress level and these adrenals

don't know the difference between good

stress or bad stress so they fire all

the time so here we are midlife we've

had all this time and think about all

the different stressors that's happen in

your life changing events that happen

even fun active things that happen in

your life, because it's still stress yes

because if I said you Silke guess

I have free first-class tickets to go

to New Zealand because we talked about

that yesterday but we have to leave

tomorrow you would be stressed right

totally stressed right because there's

so many things that you have to get done

and get packed the adrenals are firing

just the same as if I come in and said

Silke so-and-so who who you knew just

died yesterday so they don't know the

difference between good and bad stress

so they fire the same way so the time we

get to middle age our adrenals are taxed

and for some of us more than others for

me my adrenals are my Achilles heel I've

always had adrenal fatigue because of

the climate that I grew up in you know

my environment was emotionally

physically difficult in many different

ways which we've talked about before so

for me my adrenals were getting taxed

very young ... with these adrenal glands

that unless we're aware of that we

attribute a lot of illness perhaps to

something or we look somewhere where

there is no answer so how do you how do you

test the adrenal glands yeah how do most

doctors do that? How do you initiate that sort of treatment?

Well, what I have found is you're going to

find it more with an Eastern holistic

integrative doctor more than a strict

Western doctor so there's a couple

different ways you can do it by blood

you can also do it by spit test yes I said

spit test where you have vials and you

spit at different times throughout the

day in the evening because it's tracking

what your cortisol levels are ... yeah I've

heard about that they test hormones like

that too sometimes ... yeah yeah and there's a

direct connection between if you have

adrenal fatigue or if your adrenals are

really you know laxing you know as we as

women get into para menopause and

menopause what's supposed to help us

during that time is strong adrenals I

don't know about you but for all the

women that I have worked with, who've been

my clients patients and even myself by

the time we get to this point with the

life that we're in right now the

adrenals are very weak so if they're

weak they're not going to be there to

help us transition over to the phase of

menopause so that can really complicate

you know our symptoms our

signs our hormone levels all of it ... well

now you you know automatically ask me

about Silke you know have

you know have you checked your adrenal

glands when I mentioned fatigue

brain fog what are some other symptoms

of adrenal fatigue that our viewers

might okay well that's me ... okay so if you

have a difficult time waking up in the

morning and I mean without coffee if you

if it takes if you really don't wake up

until about nine or ten o'clock

that can be a sign, if come around you

know midday you have ... meaning you're awake but

you're not awake ... yeah you're awake

you're physically you've woken up

but you're not really awake and present

gotcha and I stress without coffee and

believe it or not caffeine and coffee

are the worst things for adrenals ... hmm

so that's one thing, if

middle of the afternoon between like the

two three four o'clock slump that's

another sign if you're craving you know

salty and sweet together that's another

sign if after you eat if after you eat

your dinner you start to get energy back

that's another sign for for adrenal

fatigue if you're waking up at different

times of the night that could be another

sign as well if you have difficulty

remembering where your keys were or if

you washed your hair two days ago or

where you put a piece of paper that

could really be adrenal fatigue but here

you ... we all have that that's something we're

you know everybody said well that's just

normal aging that's just a yeah that's

which it can be part of that process but

we don't yeah but unless you check the

adrenals you don't know and the

interesting part about the adrenals is

you know the old saying steal from Peter

to give to Paul if your adrenals get so

fatigued like mine have been because of what

I've done in the world the trauma that

I've worked with what happens is the

brain it'll talk to the brain and the

brain will say okay today this is what

you need to remember you need to

remember this this and this for your job

but as far as where you put your keys or

where you put X Y & Z that's not the

important part so the brain and the

adrenals speak to each other about this

is what you need to remember today the

stuff that's really not that important

let's just put on the back burner

and then that can keep continuing

and lethargy if you're really

fatigued and it doesn't matter if you're

eating you know multiple times during

the day if you're still really fatigued

you just feel like you're just drained

that's another sign of adrenal fatigue

well I bet a lot of people say yes

that's it just thinking that that's

normal and it's not normal ... no and you

know there are other symptoms too

lifestyles you know worse things are

having to eat processed food processed

food not good for you, caffeine coffee

chocolate ... even cocoa the high ...

like the raw cacao you know I'm not sure

about that one

I just know the regular ... let's not rule

that one out yet ... yeah, tell me about it

... another thing is too

is look at your lifestyle if you're a

single parent you're a candidate for you

know for adrenal fatigue if yeah if you

move to another state if you move to

another country and you have no support

systems

that's one if you're a caregiver that's

adrenal fatigue if you have been working

in a career or a job that you just don't

like are you having a lot of tension or

problems at work that's another thing so

basically what you're seeing a theme of

is stress stress stress stress ... well

cumulative stress that's that you know that

you keep continuing to have and again

each person's body is different so for

me my adrenals have always been weak so

as I've aged and I've had you know

life-changing events different traumas

illnesses illness is a big thing too

that's tax my adrenals so I've had to

make sure that I support my adrenals 110

percent everyday ... so it's like our

viewers are oh gosh this is me I don't

but I really don't know a doctor right

away I don't know how to get tested, but can

we take some action to to what can we do

to see if perhaps we can turn this

around is there a lifestyle change

eating change, what are your

recommendations there I know you're not

giving medical advice ... yes yes right so

you know again if you want to get them

checked you can go to an integrative

holistic doctor and also who does them

as holistic chiropractors

okay so you can get spit test done there

as well but in the meantime you have to

stay away from the processed foods I

know people love their coffee so what I

tell them is all right let's wean you, do

half decaf half straight do that for a

couple weeks and then wean down wean

down, wean down in the middle of the

afternoon when people start to feel that

slump they'll grab the Red Bull the

energy drink those are horrible for your

Adrenals .. yeah that I know yeah very bad and

I've met so many people especially my

first responders who you know they work

out hard and they have a fatigued

adrenals and what I say to them is

working out hard is the worst thing to

do for adrenals if you want to exercise

it's walking it's low you know what's

the word I'm trying to say ... low intensity

cardio

thank you low intensity cardio doing

mild yoga, meditation because you

have to remember if you're constantly

stressing this out and you go into the

gym and you're pumping iron and you're

running or playing tennis for eight

hours a day ... I know people like that ... so

do I so you have to be careful so if you do

that you know your adrenals are going

excuse me the only way that I'm going to

get my you know your attention is to

start to fatigue more and more and

different parts of the body will start to break down ...

that's really interesting ... there's also

a connection between how the adrenals

work with the thyroid gland so if you

have thyroid issues you should also

be looking at the adrenals, so if there's

anyone out there who has you know hyper

thyroid or hypo then also get your

adrenals tested as well ... that's really

really interesting I mean I've you've

provided some clarity for me ... well good I hope ...

no I really appreciate it, I want to

talk more about this and some other ways

of dealing with stress you know on

another segment I'm pretty sure I'm

going to get you to stay over ... yes yes I

will be here and we will be to get in

contact with Paige directly as always we

What is DIT? | Do It Together Financial Planning with Peter Guay - Duration: 1:58.

What does a "Do It Together" relationship between you and your financial advisor look like?

You want to know where you stand, and feel confident that you have enough money to support

your lifestyle for the long run.

You'd rather not have to track the zillion details involved.

Instead of flying solo, you partner with your advisor, who has your back whenever your own

time, ability and – let's face it – patience, fall short.

You want someone to bring it all together, and make sense of what your accountant and

lawyer are telling you.

And – this is critical – you stay fully engaged in your financial life.

You're not just rubber stamping someone else's plan.

This approach equips you to take advantage of the financial opportunities available to

you, and sidestep the pitfalls.

As a "Do It Together" advisor, I've seen how well it can work.

I've seen busy professionals and their families build their businesses while saving for

kids' university tuition and their retirement, with sensible insurance

in place, properly documented estate plans, and generous giving strategies as well.

These don't have to come at the expense of pursuing your life's

passions and spending meaningful time with your family and friends.

That doesn't happen by accident.

When you and your advisor share the burden of executing your financial plan, it can happen

a lot more efficiently than you think.

Next up, I'll be kicking off this "Do It Together" series by exploring one of

the most important financial subjects that is also one of the most forgotten among successful

professionals: your will. I know...

None of us loves thinking about death and dying when we're busy enough with our life

and living.

But this one is too important to overlook.

To learn more about the "why," "what" and "how" of having a good will in place,

sign up for my Do It Together YouTube channel … and stay tuned.

YOUR photos! Photo Assignment #6 :: Photo Sequences - Duration: 8:41.

one of my favorite things that we do on

this show now is Photo Assignments and

this is a thing that we came up with

where we could come together as a

community take a challenge as an

assignment that is designed to stretch

our comfort zone or creative thinking

and what we do as photographers

something to work on and every time we

do one of these the work gets better and

better and the bar raises to the next

level this week the challenge was to do

a photo sequence now photo sequence is

not easy because a photo sequence is a

group of images that work together the

sum of all the parts to deliver some

kind of visually communicated narrative

that happens and I was really impressed

to see the wide range that went into

these and I'm really excited to share

this with you today so without further

ado here's your work on photo assignment

number six photo sequences

the work this week was fabulous I want

to say a couple things about this

because honestly when I gave the photo

assignment to do photo sequences

it's a tough assignment and I worried a

little bit about that but then also the

time limit we ended up extending this a

month which ended up being a long time

and I felt like we lost a little bit of

momentum and I was really getting

worried about this and the work that was

submitted I mean you guys could see it

was absolutely amazing so every time we

do these the bar raises a little bit

there's definitely more entries but the

quality of work that's coming in is just

outstanding and I've actually I get to

where I recognize your name so I'm

looking to work I can see improvement

what people are doing and I think it's

really exciting so I want to thank you

guys because this is really inspiring

for me as well I want to make a couple

notes on a few of these images that came

in because I think they are worth

talking about and first I want to start

with Adrian Bertschi

who did a sequence of birds and this is

not unlike what we see with Eadweard

Muybridge who we looked at in the intro to

photo sequences this is a very

contemporary take and I like the fact

that you don't see border lines on the

images they've just presented as

objects and it was very nicely done this

is Mauro Raunich who chose to illustrate

his photo sequence using coffee

ingredients and I love the way he used

multiple exposures on this and you know

we weren't getting into extra techniques

on these or anything but I think just

going that extra mile and making

something that's really unusual and

unique it's amazing

another one I really liked was Greg

Orlov and this one he chose to

illustrate emotion of depression in his

photo sequence and I love the fact that

the last pane in here is intentionally

left black again you don't see the frame

line so each image blends into the next

but the fact that he chose not to have

an image in the final really accentuated

what he was going for there and it was

outstanding another one I really liked

this is sixstreetunder and sixstreetunder

I don't know your real name

but sixstreetunder has participated in a

lot of the photo assignments and I love

the fact that there is a dedication to

street photography in

the work that is produced and this had a

lot of frames in its which I kind of

warned you guys against because when you

put more data in there more information

you make it more complex this ends up

being somewhat abstract but if you look

at the way that the frames play against

one of the most obvious being the middle

divide where you see kind of the top of

the figure and the bottom figure as they

come together and I think it's just

really well done and this is one of

those rare occurrences where I think you

can certainly go with a lot of

information because the effect is the

bigger than the sum you know what I mean

and so it kind of works in this case

anyway I was really nicely done another

one this is Dian Ramírez and in all

fairness full disclosure I have met

Dian before she came to the meetup I

did in Mexico last year and I have seen

her work and I thought this was really

nice too and I really wanted to

underscore the fact that these are using

very cool darkroom techniques with

cyanotypes to do they're not

photoshopped and I think she's doing

some amazing work I thought this was a

really interesting and mature take on

this as well and finally the last one

was Andrew Miller and I put a little

subtext in here as well but I really

like the fact that this was a composite

into a single image and of course you

know you're going to manipulate the

image to do that but I think it fits the

concept and I think it works really well

and probably cooler than having multiple

images it is multiple exposures that all

work together in the same image anyway

guys this was really nicely done

I am so excited about where photo

assignments are going this is this has

become one of my favorite things that we

do in the videos that I make is that you

know this is a chance for us to

participate we kind of come together as

a community we use social media do this

and I think it's awesome so I'm a little

unsure of what is going to be next with

this what the next assignment will be I

will say this I'm going to announce it

the next couple days I want to put some

more thought into it because I think on

the one hand that I was a little

apprehensive that this was too

complicated of an assignment and it

wasn't I think it really stretched some

people and made us all think which I

think is really good and so that's one

thing that I want to take into

consideration but I don't want it to

take a month so I want it to be a little

more than a challenge but I don't want

to leave a wide-open space for it so I

want to

a little more thought into that and also

want to apologize because due to the

nature of this and the way these images

are presented there's a lot on screen so

I only picked about half of what I

normally do and so there was a lot of

great work but I just narrowed it down

to the very best and put it in and so I

don't want anybody to get discouraged if

your work has not been featured in one

of my videos yet do not give up we're

going to do these pretty much every two

weeks so there will be plenty of

opportunities and beyond that I think

it's exciting to see people getting in

the habit of expanding their creative

thinking putting that into their work

but then sharing that with the world via

social so really it's a moot point of

whether or not I choose one of your

images to show in the video or not the

fact that you're doing that as an

exercise is really going to benefit you

overall and I think that's really the

key of what we're doing here and so

anyway so I just want to thank you guys

I think this work was outstanding this

week a couple weeks ago I said it was

the best one ever now I think this one

was the best one ever and I don't mean

to sound trite about that but it really

is inspiring and it's really cool to see

these improving as we go so if you have

any questions or comments please leave

them below and I will address them as

such and if you enjoyed this video

please remember to like it share it

subscribe to the Art of Photography for

more videos I will see you guys in the

next one until then later

ALIEN COVENANT Everybody is terrified by the Xenomorph (2017) Interview with the cast - Duration: 5:08.

[Music]

well I saw the chestburster scene first

when I was 10 and it really traumatized

me so I didn't watch the whole movie

until I summons the courage somewhere

around 25

I watched it maybe when I was about 10

and it was one of those films that

definitely sat with me and I remember

clearly when I when I saw it and the

environment that I was watched it in so

yeah it definitely made a mark I saw it

when it came out and it scared the

living daylights out of me I don't think

I had ever seen anything as disturbing

and ingenious as that alien creature

I was totally terrified and blown away

by it and then I just found myself it's

attracted to it drawn to it again and

again over the years you sure got this

captain how do you mean

what the fuck's out there I think so I

think it's such a provocative figure and

you know image it's it's beautiful and

it's quite sort of in some ways

repulsive there's a very sort of sexual

element to it and there's a very primal

element to it I suppose because it

doesn't have eyes as well or they're not

evident to you can't really see them

there's something spooky about that like

cockroaches we have do we had these

great physical performers that were

suiting up and giving us some real-life

aliens and it was amazing to see what

what those those props guys in the art

department created there so there's such

incredible artists but I didn't want to

look too much because I wanted to stay

surprised by them beside the creatures

so I didn't I didn't look too often you

were awed by the ingenuity that went

into creating such a lifelike and

realistic foreign being you know this

nosed badass

um honestly great fun it's great fun to

do that but it's a challenge because to

make people really frightened is very

tough it's tricky

easy to make people laugh to really get

the heart started is a tough process is

hard work and that by being a hard hour

it helps me to go into places that I

couldn't go into comes PG does he make

it Friday so that I can make if writings

as PG to our new life on a scale of one

to ten a definite ten it was disgusting

so much of it was disgusting and and

Ridley loved that he absolutely here

come in you know there'd be some severed

head somewhere and go how come to go

look at this yeah it's beautiful right

disgusting beautiful has a Victorian

disgusting but beautiful I could not get

enough of it um and so uh you know that

we were often covered in blood or some

other kind of matter breaking up

I'll take being caught by the fully

grown one definitely I don't like the

face-sucking scenario or I mean if you

get faced up do you get burst so they

kind of go on one well face hug you

you're they I remember from the first

movie they somehow are able to

anesthetize you pretty quick so you go

to sleep so you don't know what's really

happening the giving birth um it seems

like you'd be out of commission pretty

quick I mean you're dead like that

I think the chest first of all always be

the thing that freaks me out the most

because it's the first thing I saw but

if you come face to face with that thing

you've at least got some time to worry

about what's going to happen and that's

the part that's the most scary I think

where is it

you
